If you are bored you can watch the olympic torch real time.  They are running right past my Uncles house later today.  The cam cuts out sometimes as the mountains get in the way but it has entertained me so far and there is a map on the side that shows where the torch is and follows it.

Brandi are you getting snow?  It is coming down here at a pretty good clip this the roads were bad after the freezing rain so there were lots of cars in the ditch this morning.

Tevye I am heading off the snow in your direction - it really is pretty here today.

Hi everyone.

Hi mission. I stayed up all night and went to bed around 10 am this morning, after the snow had started. They are still calling for ~12-18" of snow for my area (that's on top of the 15" we got this past weekend!)

I think Baltimore/DC area will get even more than we do.

I wonder how sassycat is doing. She is somewhere in Maryland.

I'll keep you all posted once I get caught up in my reading here!

I was wondering if you had lost power today Brandi. Glad you are okay.

The power issue will be later tonight/tomorrow, when the storm is supposed to turn into sleet/freezing rain for a while before turning back to all snow.

We may very well lose power, but I am good to go for now

Thanks Greeneyes, I have been trying to lay down and rest. I am hungry and don't want any soup. I want some real food. 

Can you order in some homemade food like roast chicken and mashed potatoes??

That is not such a bad thing JSM it will force you to stay hydrated which is very important.  I hope you are resting like you SHOULD BE!! 

I am drinking diet cokes, but I am still thirsty. Will switch to water in a minute. Yuck. I am resting as a matter of fact. Laying on the couch watching Judge Alex. 

Glad you got to come home to recuperate, JSM. Diet cokes are high in sodium and caffeine in them is dehydrating. I should know, I drink them all the time. Water is a real good alternative, expecially when you are sick! Get well soon so you can skate tomorrow!

Did you bring Josef home today?

I love diet coke, but I am switching to water in a minute. I like fizz, that is why I don't like water. 

No, Josef is staying another night. That way if I feel well enough, I am going to hit the rink really early. I am feeling much better today.

Loosing power is no fun at all.  Have candles ready just in case.  You will be amazed how much heat a candle can give off when you have no power.

So true, a candle really does put out a lot of heat. So do kerosene lamps
