I love the band Coldplay - and I think this video is pretty cool.

Looks like today is another day working in the yard.  One of the neighbours is having 6 households over for pancake breakfast.  I am so happy when someone else does the cooking!

I thought I would share our garden. What is left will soon be hit by frost, and I dread the day.

Fanny your garden is gorgeous!  We are supposed to hit 0 one night this week.  Scrambling to get some of the more tender veggies in so the frost does not kill them.  Yesterday was tree cutting day and I am hurting.  I will have to take a picture of a tree stump that is huge from yesterday.  It had to go as it was getting dangerous but man is it hard work even with older boys and neighbours helping.  I have all my firewood for winter though.  I love starting a fire in the fireplace for when the kids get home from school on cold winter days.  They have hot chocolate waiting for them so they can sit by the fireplace and relax and warm up.

Not sure if this will turn out but you can see the stump is almost 3 feet across so you can imagine how large those pieces were.

Fanny, just beautiful    Sunny my neighbor and her sis make dog treats at Christmas for the pups and they sure enjoy them here in the neighborhood     My dad is coming tomorrow, he has already told me he is not unpacking everything because he figures he won't be staying as long as the six weeks, I figured that, and am glad we didn't buy a return ticket. I have to finish vacuuming, and groceries, I just got done in the yard, I can't wait to tell my husband I have to buy a new bird feeder, they keep spilling this, and I'm sick of cleaning it, so I have another in mind. This will be about the tenth feeder now

I really need to know how you do all the work you do, I'm so impressed with what you all do. My grandma use to work and do all the things, minus tree cutting, that you do, you must take a special vitamin.  an angelic monkey

It has to get done and with Hubby's back and cancer I have no option but to do it or he will do something stupid.  As it was he was wielding a chainsaw yesterday until I got my son to take it away from him.  Then he went to borrow the neighbours

Oh dear, and your hubby wants to help, I don't blame him, but I sure understand why you don't want him doing some of the hard labor.  an angelic monkey Yes I know things have to be done, and if you are like me, I start feeling anxious and guilt when I don't do what needs to be done.

I'm paying dearly for the swinging of the axe splitting wood the other day, but it was either doing that or show my azz again. It gets rid of pent up stress, but I now have exchange it for a really achey back again. Couldn't even clean the carpets the next day after vacuuming them. Carpet cleaning hasn't gotten done either, as son has been snowed with homework these first couple of weeks back at school. They will wait till I can do it.

I love our fireplace too. We have had to depend on it a time or two when the power went out, or once while waiting for a part for heater during the coldest period one winter. We have a new heater/ac unit, so hoping at least that part won't happen in the near future.

Don't know whether we will watch football today. I am not much interested in the "CROOKS AND CRIMINALS." That is what we call the Cincinnati Begals.  Monkey Devil! Whatever we do will probably be inside as the rain has just started.

NORTHERN ROSE, what kind of tree was that? That is a huge stump!

I wouldn't know the first thing about chopping down a tree, I had to have a dying palm tree cut down, but I had to hire someone to do it. But nobody would want to see me with an axe around here anyway
