You seem to know some info on Mason.

Why is Mason allowing Baez to get away with this stuff?

To me this is not  dirty tricks..just shoddy workmanship on Baez part.

Why hasn't Mason told him to pepare for trial properly? 

Doesn't Mason see this reflects badly for himself too?

It is Baez case but Mason is the death qualified attorney..so why is he allowing someone on their team to do this stuff..my mouth is gaping.

not Sunny, but my opinion is that Mason is guiding this..he is hoping for appeal and he is hoping that getting in some of this info, even if it is put in there improperly will get the message to the jury and they will have "doubt"..jmo...

I think they are going for ineffective counsel. Mason is going to say that bozo did not know what he was doing and would not take advice from the more experienced attorneys so he screwed up the defense. If the other attorneys agree that bozo would not listen to them (which I think may be true) they could get an ineffective counsel ruling. Having all these qualified attorneys prevent that UNLESS bozo won't let them do anything or won't listen to them.

Good point.  I've always thought Baaz wanted all the court time.  Well, he's had it and made a laughing stock of himself in the process!

I hope this trial hasn't been just practice and that it won't be a mistrial. 
 
 

A minuscule amount of cases have ever been successful on appeal for ineffective counsel in Florida, number one.   Two, she has an entire team with TWO DP qualified attorneys presently on staff.   Its extremely doubtful that despite the obvious that it would succeed.

Hope this won't be the exception. 

Would it be appropriate for Mason to tell ICA that if there is a mistrial, he will take the case for her?  ICA seems to like Mason.

I am chatting with a friend on FB...she asked me if I have seen any family members of the A's other than the main 3 in court...I have not...has anyone seen another family member of either CA or GA....I have seen their friend but no family members....sure tells me a lot

Sunny, iirc, some time ago I think George's Mother attended (it might have been during the hearings).  I seem to remember someone reporting they overheard George's Mother say she wanted to tell Casey she loved her.

Hopefully someone else will remember this.

Just projecting here.....I cannot imagine how Baez is managing knowing his every move is analyzed against a backdrop of incompetence.  If I knew the judge and the general public thought of me in such a negative light, I would be a nervous wreck.  If I knew there was a possibility of sanctions, etc. after the hearing , I would be a basket case.   

Not sure I am getting my point across,  as I said, I am projecting.   I cannot imagine how this man faces the court each day....I would want to quit my job, change careers and move to another town.

The announcement came after Judge Belvin Perry held discussions behind closed doors with lawyers.

The reason for the recess until Tuesday at 9 a.m. was not known, but should become clear later Monday when transcripts of the backroom conversation become available.

Have any of you ever had a job in which you did your best, but you were "let go" anyways?  And then, in hindsight, you saw all the things you could have done better...and you wished you could have that job back so that you could do it right?  Just one more chance to get it right?  I'm thinking that Baez thinks this was a practice run thus far and is doing his best to obtain a mistrial so he start over and present his duhfense without all these lame mistakes he's made.

I don't think Judge Perry is going to let this train run off the tracks into a mistrial..try as the defense might..disrupting the flow is one thing..mistrial is a whole other story.

I think the Judge would just as soon push on and upward..even if he has to school Baez and the DT daily..and sanction them at the end..rather then let them run rampent over him and his courtroom.
