I still think it`s very strange that there`s nothing about the Kalpoe brothers, no family, no friends or neighbours that are talking about them.

At least there has to be some people that know them especially they also live on Aruba.

Under my Most Believable Scenario (MBS) there would be no reason to change stories, except when a previous story is shown to be absurd, and where the individuals are caught in a "Prisoner's Dilemma" situation and each one tries to save his own ass.

There is evidence they changed their stories. They are proven liars. But you are right, the rest is speculation. Not much else we can do but speculate & wait. Smile

Dan Riehl's Fox Video

Is there any "official evidence" that they've changed their stories? All we know is what the two released security guards have said they heard from each while in jail:

Mickey John with Deepak's new version (dropped J & N near Marriott) and Abraham Jones with what Joran said (he was dropped off 1st). Personally, I'm leaning towards believing Joran's that he was dropped off 1st after C&C. After all, he had finals that Monday. And knowing the route and looking at the map http://www.scaredmonkeys.com/Images-Fun/map3.pdf it is feasible.

Also, none of J's friends have been retained but Deepak's have. Remember, there were 3 jails for the 3 suspects and only 2 security guards. We haven't "heard" anything from Satish have we?

The biggest mistake by LE down there was waiting so long to bring these guys in.

In LE defense, it may have been an attempt to let them return to the scene(s) of the crime, esp if LE thought they had some tidying up to do.  LE did say the three were electronically monitered, and i'll bet a lot more monitering was going on.

I too believe that the "monitoring" that went on after they released these guys was beneficial in some way.

To No X It: I can understand that strategy. I think it was tragically wrong, but I can understand why the Arubian police would have followed it.

After reading the article in Black & White I am, frankly, skeptical any 'monitoring' actually went on.

It also makes me wonder if this strategy of letting them go makes the government alot smarter than we think they are....or are they really stupid???

I have read (believe on Dan Riehl's website) that Satish was NOT in school the next morning.

I don't understand the blanket of silence around the other family.

If the police really thought she was somewhere partying, the probably also thought that she would contact the boys if they went free.

Again not the right choice, but we have hindsight.

I've considered this, as it is a tactical choice for law enforcement anywhere.  In fact, it was used in the Scott Petersen case.  However, it seems when used, like in the Petersen case, at the same time there are search warrants, interrogations, etc that take place in the USA.  I don't really know the comparison, but it seems if this was the tactic little else was done.  No big search of house to collect possible evidence, no impounding of the car, etc.  For those reasons I have a hard time with this used as a tactical move.

Others here might know more that would allow me to support this move, but right now I can't.
