I have been catching up for a while and went back to #9 and saw all the "Dee Fine is a Moron" comments. I can't stop laughing. I think it is really funny how quickly you guys have picked up on that. We've been putting up with her around here for the last 20 - 25 years.

Hi all, I've been reading and thinking and want to say that knowing and having been around kids Natalee's and Joran's age/socioeco status I think that it would have been easy for Joran to ask Natalee to help him smuggle cocaine (probably) perhaps to neighboring Island that night with the physical help of more experienced seedy characters. Could have been planned to go somewhere on a boat or even back to US. She would not have had to swallow the packets (for a female there are other ways that would leave her physically vunerable). Hence she was already packed, the scuffle at C&C with Joran and her friends that may have known, Joran liking the extra money, the gansta appeal, her liking the expensive drugs, the excitement, Aruba is a midway for drug trafficing, etc.  Only the more experienced people had more expensive merchandise than the drugs and they took her.  "Something bad happened." Now they are telling Joran not to talk.  Hence the crying and him talking to dad the one time and now the interview with the "now witness" dad.  The beheading.  The VDSes want protection.  This would explain the comment from the politician, the DEA and the FBI and the mother's belief that she may be alive.  Natalee may be pretty and smart but watch and I'll bet she was part of this mistake and people know this....  God watch out for her!!!

With all do respect you need to do a bit more reading and you'd see how absolutely rediculous you sound.

Maybe arrogance is a way of life for sick people..remember scott peterson's arrogance..jeez...Ya know, from the start, his "attitude" in pictures has reminded me of that slug Peterson...I agree with you..if he gets away with this, because obviously he knows SOMETHING, even if he didnt kill her, then I hope somebody stomps his butt...

All I have to say is that Joran picked the wrong one this time.  Natalee's family is very prominent.  They have the money and political backing to sink him and his family for good.  There is a lot going on behind the scenes that we are not aware of.  Believe me, the reason this story is #1 is no accident.  There are alot of folks behind this thing.  Also, word has it that Joran has a scholarship to UCF or somewhere here in the US to play soccer.  My advice to him, if he beats this thing, is to stay where he is.  If he were to set foot in Florida, especially given its close proximity to AL, he wouldn't last very long.  He would be in OUR territory then, and I cannot believe that our guys would put up with him over here.  How long do any of you think he would last in the US????  I think we would do more than "stomp his butt...."

Red, I agree.  I know we've had conflicting reports on the number of FBI agents there, but according to the press they are only guests and are not really doing much.  So we are supposed to believe that we have anwhere from 6-13 FBI agents in Aruba standing around waiting for the Arubans to ask them to do something.  I have wondered if they are in surrounding countries looking into things.

There is no way that 6-13 or 1 FBI agent would be there doing nothing. Foreign governments like to claim plausible deniability to such things. The whole idea that they are not cooperating against (ie terrorist, drug dealers) in order to save face in whatever part of the word.

If it were me they would not even be  in Aruba. How many FBI agents would one need to deal with the island? They are certainly not going to say what they are doing. Yeah, I can just see the headlines back in US papers, FBI agents sipping pina coladas poolside waiting for permission from Aruban Gov't. I doubt it.

Only the shadow knows just how many, where and what they are doing.  Aruba knows hoe to keep there mouths shut.  And if you didn't notice ,Geraldo went away and didn't come back (Muzzle?)

Greta went away pretty fast as well. With all the fan fare she was given and that initial interview I figured she was going to set up camp. Then all a sudden bye, bye. Did she even unpack a suitcase? Did she even bring one for how short a time she was there?

Miami FBI assists in missing-woman case

FBI agents from the Miami office have been in Aruba during the probe into the fate of an Alabama high school graduate, but their role has been limited.

Highly-trained agents from Miami's FBI office have been in Aruba for two weeks, but are playing a limited role in the search for Natalee Holloway, the missing Alabama woman whose case has drawn international media attention.

That's because the agents from the top federal investigative agency have been invited on the Dutch Caribbean island only as observers. Local authorities are leading the investigation.

Up to now, the Aruba government has requested minimal FBI assistance, said Judy Orihuela, the FBI spokeswoman in Miami.

''We are there at the request of the Aruban government and we'll help in anyway they ask us,'' she said.

Six Miami-based agents are on the island along with a seventh agent based in Barbados. The team of agents, along with a supervisor, watched from behind a glass the questioning of the five men implicated in the 18-year-old's disappearence.

Aruba officials also asked the FBI to analyze a DNA sample taken from the backseat of a suspect's vehicle. The sample was flown to the FBI crime lab in Quantico, Va., but came back negative for blood.

Natalee's mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, has publicly criticized the pace of the investigation.

Even if Holloway Twitty wanted the FBI more involved in the case, the Dutch government would have to approve.

''Aruba is a sovereign nation,'' Orihuela said of the island, an autonomous member of the Kingdom of the Netherlands where Dutch is the official language, but English is widely spoken.

Investigators have said they continue to pursue all leads and emphasize that no one is above the law in Aruba.

For now, the agents -- members of the extra-territorial squad that deals with events in the Caribbean and South America -- will continue in their role as observers. Among them: an expert in evidence processing, a crimes against children specialist and a victim/witness coordinator. ''It's really up to the Aruban government what they want us to do,'' Orihuela said.

You certainly know where they stand on any issue they cover.( Illegal immigration, crimes against children, etc.) Sometimes, (just sometimes) they say what I feel like saying. Just trying not to be an ass.  If this has taught me anything...it's that I need to treat people better.  After being cutoff by people in traffic, I find myself thinking, how would Natalee handle this?  Opposed to what I used to to: tailgate, show 'em my sign, cut them back off.
