Anthony tries to stop bondsmen testimony

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Florida mother charged with killing her toddler daughter wants to force the head of a Texas-based search-and-rescue group to testify at her trial but wants to stop her former bail bondsmen from being a witness for the state.

Defense attorneys for Casey Anthony will argue in court Friday that the head of Texas EquuSearch should be a witness at her murder trial. They hope to use that testimony to show it would have been impossible for Anthony to dispose of the 2-year-old girl's body in woods near her home because she was in jail.

Anthony's attorneys also want to prevent her bail bondsmen from testifying for the state about what she told them about the case.

Anthony is charged with killing her daughter, Caylee, who disappeared last summer. Anthony has pleaded not guilty.

ANJM- Do you mean NeJame's interrupted presser?  Just got done reading that-WOW!  I can't believe George actually confronted someone without Cindy to direct him/control him and didn't wait for Brad.  I'm sure Brad was in panic mode.  Interesting how Cindy needs Brad to now speak for her, but George doesn't.  Hhhhmmmm.  Wonder why.  What is up with Lyons' 91 pages?  Isn't this a Baez trick?  Dump motions near the close of court prior to a court hearing the next morning (in an attempt to sabotage said hearing-IMO).  I believe this is done to buy time because they know the opposition legally has to have time to read and craft a rebuttal before the motions can be debated.  Cheap shot!

On the 92 pages - very bitter writing that had my blood boiling - accusing SA of lying and not producing documents and so, I stopped reading the garbage for now.  I might finish it just because I want to know everything - but had had enough earlier and closed out!

I finished reading it - it is what I said above.  And a note from SA saying the FBI discovery will be given to them as soon as they receive it.
I found two things interesting in the entire thing:

Well, at least at this point, I think George does know Casey is guilty. I think he's known since the car was picked up and there was Casey's lame story about what happened to Caylee. However, I don't think he WANTS to believe it, and as long as Baez can supply any possible scenario that would erase that possibility, he'll try to hold on to it. That presser today was a chip in the scenario, and George couldn't handle it. Baez knew who to call.

I think you're right on with this.  ITA.  I think Baez sunk to a new low today.  I have to say I'm surprised George took advice from Baez, since he's always hinted to Casey his distrust of Baez.  Why would he listen to him now?  As a professional, I find it very suspicious that Baez didn't call Conway over this exercising George'e option sort-of-thing.

You know, I've been round and round in my thinking about George.  One minute I'm sorry for him and the next, I'm enraged at his stunts.  Today, though, I'm troubled by Baez's easy manipulation of him.  Baez reminds me of Iago from Othello, whispering into Othello's ear of Desdemona's (not our Des,lol,) unfaithfulness.  George has been wound up like one of those little plastic toys and sent into the middle of the adult's cocktail party, just for fun.  I'm worried that Baez and Cindy will play on his instability to the point that he will admit murdering Caylee, and then kill himself.  Talk about the ultimate sacrifice.  We never really found out what was in his "suicide" note, did we?  At any rate, back to our regular programming...

Hey Hey Monkeys!

I've missed you all!  Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts & prayers.  Klaas, I got your note to check on me, much appreciated.  Since my COPD diagnose I have been healing from my attack with a minor set back due to an infection but I'm much better & attending 3 days of respiratory therapy & exercise.  The biggest hurdle was putting the cigs down & woot woot havent touched one since 7/5 when I went into respiratory distress.    I'm slowly getting back to a norm.  I'm happy to say although I have a lot of catching up to do here I'll be back as much as I can be.    ready for tomorrow's hearing, it should be a humdinger!

I've kept up as best as I can including today's presser with Nejame/Miller...O to the MG, how much more ridiculous can this defense team and  screw up parents be!!    Did Bozo & the amazons actually think that it would not get out that they sent George with his flared nostrils to this presser with Conman bringing up the rear to clean up the mess yet again...I gotta say I laughed so hard it was painful!  Privilege, seriously?    They had to know it doesnt matter one bit that Nejame represented George & Cindy.  The release of these photos has absolutely nothing to do with his previous representation of them, albeit unusual that he is now representing Tim Miller & Equusearch in the same case.  The only time privilege could be asserted is if he shared something attorney/client privilege, he didnt & he also provided these images to both the State & the defense.   Not to mention the fact that even if Nejame did not release these photos publicly the personnel that operated the helicopter & took the images would be able to testify they took the images in November so the defense can bark all they want.   I am pretty confident that the defense will fail similarly on their motion regarding Lenny.  All today's drama did was shine the guilt on their client all the more by protesting so obnoxiously!    So much for someone else did it after Casey was in jail, bahahaa!  Come on George, with the "I just wanna know what happened," he knew what happened no later than he picked up his daughter's car & he's been lying ever since on his own and/or due to his pit bull wife's demands.   My two cents, its just a dang shame Bozo's focus is on trying to get his name on the "high profile" list instead of his client, stunts like this prove he's out for himself & his team has their own self-serving motivations.

ORLANDO -- Defense attorneys in the case against Casey Anthony are heading to court this morning for several motions.

Casey Anthony is expected to be in court Friday.  She has not made an appearance in court in several months.

Today's hearing will cover several motions filed by the defense.

One includes keeping bounty hunter Leonard Padilla quiet. The defense wants to stop the former bail bondsman from being a witness with the state.  Padilla bonded Casey out of jail the first time she was released, but he later said Casey would not cooperate with him in his search for Caylee Anthony.

This all comes after an interesting turn of events Thursday during a news conference.
   
The lawyer for Tim Miller of EquuSearch, Mark NeJame, was giving a news conference when George Anthony barged in uninvited.
Anthony and NeJame went off in private to take care of a misunderstanding.
   
The private conversation happened minutes after NeJame and Miller showed photographs of the scene taken on Nov. 7, 2008 where Caylee Anthony's remains were found more than a month later.
   
Miller says he and 32 of his volunteers could not search the exact spot where Caylee's remains were later found because there was standing water.

Today's hearing is expected to begin at 9:30 a.m. News 13 will have live coverage.
