I wanted to continue talking about cookies.
I was looking last summer for wedding cake toppers.
Just quite expensive cost wise, but cheap junk. Did a ixnay on that idea .
It was for a family wedding.
When I was looking on the 'net there was not alot to choose from. Nothing personalized.
People spend alot of money on wedding items.

Kat - those are great ideas, we're also working on cookie tablescapes for now daughter has perfected making tiny individual cakes that look like tiffany boxes and such.......so we'll have a tower of cookies and mini-cakes. the issue is finding enough time for all we'd like to do !

BT - so sweet for you to say that, I WISH we'd have an empire but we are still scrambling to get samples out and get orders !! Memere can tell you that the cookies taste good too !

I appreciate it Kat, the brainstorming and feedback from others is so helpful. I agree entirely, that is a wide open market and one we plan to pursue. We have several valentine designs that will translate well for weddings too, so we're working hard on expanding into that area. I plan to send out samples to all the wedding designers plus the one that did my wedding a million years ago in Atlanta, has offered to promote our work as well. So we just need a few more weeks to perfect the samples and I think we'll have a good shot at this !

my son loves it too, he asked me to snag it for him so he can send it to a few players who think they are all that and a bag of chips

I have been working a bit on the update of the Summary of Murder & Crime (a 2006 final Summary). I have these 8 murders - that we know of:

03/20 - Bernard Ramsaran, died on board a ship, Aruba pronounced "natural causes" but 2nd autopsy in his home country revealed that he had been strangled.

04/05 - Pitbull Djoegan murdered; hideous mutilation of the body.

04/18 - Raul Croes murdered in a restaurant, with a machete.

06/23 - Unknown female corpse, nude, found in a trash pile.

11/24 - Pedro A. Gomez-Torres, murdered at Bongo Bar.

12/02 - Hoben M Bayne, 16-yr-old, murdered outside C&Cs.

12/16 - "Baby D" (Dijkhoff), 4-month-old, killed by his father.

12/27 - Carlos A Moreno, found dead on beach, minus an ear, by fisherman; polis suspect foul play. 20 kilos (44 lbs) of cocaine are somehow involved.

The total for 2005 was 7, counting Natalee. This reflected a higher murder rate for 2005 than for the U.S., both as a national average and for population centers of 50,000 - 99,9999. For more about the U.S. stats for 2005, see page 7 of the M&C thread. There are links to the FBI tables.

I think, however, that we have a couple of additions for 2006 ...

The cookies are absolutely wonderful....I sent some to a group of friends and got only positive comments...even from the negative person...

MsMarples I'd like to thank you for yours, Anna's and bleached's diligence on that thread, it's been so enlightening.

I'm so glad it's getting read and that the truth of this is shown in these numbers. It's a shame bondia can't come back to discuss these, I bet Klaas could sell tickets to that event !!! Heck I wish bondia's Hope with her multiple personalities <which now even the RU posters have confessed it was all former SM posters posing as "hope" and giving up their names too>........it's just a shame they can't have to face this music of the reality of Aruba !

I love telling the story about the guy who cuts my hair, he's one grumpy human but he does a great haircut and highlights   anyway I took him some, I guess he felt obligated to try one and said "hmmm this is a really good cookie and I don't even like sweets "     I wish I could share it with his lebananese accent too for it makes it all the funnier
