I was walking Josef and the popo pulled into the parking lot of the apartments drove around and stopped at my car. He asked if I knew another number for the apartment management because they don't open until ten. I said no, then being the nosy monkey I am I asked why. He said DPD called IPD to check on a guy in my complex.  I told him one of the managers lives downstairs and that sometimes they are at the office before ten.

Now I wanna know what guy DPD is looking for  Monkey Devil! At least it wasn't the FBI, I could point out all the terrorists in my hood to them.

   A welfare check?
I don't think so, I think more of a criminal sort of check. The police guy said DPD wanted them to check out a guy, but wasn't for sure he was even at these apartments. He didn't seem too concerned because he said he didn't want to wait around til 10. So probably not welfare check.

Did you tell them about the fight in the Apt behind you. I was worried about you getting shot, and there you went outside! What am I going to do with you, Young Lady!

Good morning Mission, and rest of the morning monkeys!

I agree about the Haleigh thread, it's been nuts!

I feel like I'm listening thru a wall with a glass when I read in here, like I'm eavesdropping, but it's too dang funny to read sometimes!
GIZZIE, You are oh-so-right! It is like a really, really bad soap opera. Stand by for the next episode. If it weren't so dang serious and and for Haleigh it could be downright laughable.

BBL gotta get in the shower and then go  and then go shopping. I really hate shopping. Keep me updated about Haleigh. I can't read over there anymore

Sorry I missed you, but I know you will come home happy with some new clothes. New clothes make you feel like a new person. Who knows, when you wear them, you may get the "slut strut" too.

Hi Tevye I see you up there - I hope you are feeling better too!!  Trimm left you some good music - I love the Little Big Town Boondocks - that is a good one.
Hey Mission! Ya, I'm feeling some better...just taking it very easy this morning as grandson #2 will be here this afternoon and I don't want to be too tired to play.

Trimm, if the cough syrup has codeine in it, that may contribute to your headache. Drink lots of water, I mean LOTS! It'll thin the goo out and make it easier to get rid of.
TEVYE, I enjoyed the music this morning too. I hope you have a wonderful day with your grandson.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE.

Can someone answer two questions for me?     Is Windchime the mystery lady that dropped the letter off to the newspaper and is Lovemyboys Monkey for real?      I've been peeking in on the Haleigh thread but don't have time to read it all since this cute little baby is visiting me today.        I was blown away with what I did see.    Is this true?    TIA.

 an angelic monkey
Some people on WS do believe that Hope is Lovemyboys, who would be a granddaughter of Granny Sykes, I don't believe she is at all.  Windchime could be the delivery woman of the letter, or it could be Jane who now lives in the trailer where Haleigh disappeared from    This is all insanity

Hi No Rose  Wow that is interesting about Jane - I never thought about that but it very well could be her - oh my.  If that letter does in fact say where she is then we should be hearing they found her soon - at least that is my hope.
There is something not right about Jane    Somebody had the video up last night of her talking, but she didn't show her face. I don't know about anyone else, but I would be uncomfortable living in a place where someone vanished from.

It did seem so deliberate, didn't it, for her to move in there? Almost like she sought it out.

I hope the part about luvmyboys is wrong.  an angelic monkey

I also hope you are a little calmer today, and you can enjoy your dad being there. I know you went through a lot to get ready for his visit. I will see you on the other threads.

The Elephant Story

The story of how Alabama became associated with the "elephant" goes back to the 1930 season when Coach Wallace Wade had assembled a great football team.

On October 8, 1930, sports writer Everett Strupper of the Atlanta Journal wrote a story of the Alabama-Mississippi game he had witnessed in Tuscaloosa four days earlier. Strupper wrote, "That Alabama team of 1930 is a typical Wade machine, powerful, big, tough, fast, aggressive, well-schooled in fundamentals, and the best blocking team for this early in the season that I have ever seen. When those big brutes hit you I mean you go down and stay down, often for an additional two minutes.

"Coach Wade started his second team that was plenty big and they went right to their knitting scoring a touchdown in the first quarter against one of the best fighting small lines that I have seen. For Ole Miss was truly battling the big boys for every inch of ground.

"At the end of the quarter, the earth started to tremble, there was a distant rumble that continued to grow. Some excited fan in the stands bellowed, 'Hold your horses, the elephants are coming,' and out stamped this Alabama varsity.

"It was the first time that I had seen it and the size of the entire eleven nearly knocked me cold, men that I had seen play last year looking like they had nearly doubled in size."

Strupper and other writers continued to refer to the Alabama linemen as "Red Elephants," the color referring to the crimson jerseys.

The 1930 team posted an overall 10-0 record. It shut out eight opponents and allowed only 13 points all season while scoring 217. The "Red Elephants" rolled over Washington State 24-0 in the Rose Bowl and were declared National Champions.

Good Morning

Good Morning NORTHERN.  an angelic monkey

WHOOPS!!! I was glad I never ran up on one of those with my truck. I have seen them in the distance. The worse thing you can do is blow your air horns at him if he is in your way. If you do, he will attack your truck, and he can tear the fiberglass bodies to pieces, and won't stop. The company always warned us never to do that. You are just supposed to quietly sit there and let him meander off in his own time. They can look right into your front windshield at you with NO trouble!

I have too, TRIMM.

I'm sure it's not making you feel any better. No ROS is there too almost all the time, and I think it is making us all
It is crazy, and I will say I don't know what is going on in Lindsey's case even though I read there all the time, but I'm worried about the person who gave a tip. I will be leaving shortly to take my dad to Walmart, I'm not feeling good, health wise, but I don't care about that, I keep going. But, I am sick over my dad, he should not be living alone in a two story home with a huge yard. He moves so slow, and I'm scared, with his balance and all. I had purchased a life alert for him last Christmas, he is so stubborn he sent it back to me, he don't want nothing like that, period. I need to bring up that he needs to live in a smaller place, I will try to buy the home, or even in a nice assisted living home, not a nursing home that he doesn't need at all, but a place where there is someone to help. If not, I am going to have to leave this family and go and live with him, so I'm torn on what to do  And I also am so mad at myself because my patience is down to nothing and I'm starting to snap, but I will try harder

I wouldn't know where to begin on it either. I just read along, and should just learn to keep my mouth shut. Lindsay's is just plain weird and getting more so. I am so afraid for both these little girls.    I cannot see a good outcome for either.
