Mark Klaas is concerned about TES sending out 8000 untrained searchers out to trample any evidence.   Leonard said they have very specific place to search per, timeline and her 700 calls in a two week period!

700 calls!!!!  8000 searchers!!!!!    Wow!

I was disappointed in Mark Klaas and what he was saying about that many volunteers were going. He said they are untrained and yadda yadda. I was telling my husband on the commercial that they have people (fire fighters, law enforcement etc. ) to lead the untrained.  How else do they expect to find Caylee? ... lots of volunteers and people complaining.... no volunteers people complain. I think that everyone going to help out should be commended for their efforts.

Can someone please explain to me why a plea is entered?  She is being tried for murder, a plea seems redundant to me.  What is the purpose of doing this and what does it mean when the judge accepts her plea?  TIA

I don't know why.

I know why...So they can spend more tax payer's money!

Well she can plead guilty if she wants and save everyone a lot of trouble. Don't hold breath though.
Or she can plead not guilty and ask for a trial by her peers.

She's enjoying her fame too much!  She 'ain't' gonna do anything to stop that short!  Besides, she's going to get off and REALLY be famous (in her own lil fantasy land).    She'll have SOOO much sypmathy and 100's more men!

I would rather see 8000 people searching and possibly trampling on evidence than not looking at all and never finding caylee and giving her a respectful and proper burial
Lp just mentioned 2 cans of deodorant in a target bag.. I just KNOW they have so much more evidence!!

Me too!  You said it much better than I did.

Oh my gosh, I went to bed early last night, and had to read 40 pages just to get caught up!

I would like to say one thing about all the drama in the last couple of weeks, and Old Fart, get out your biggest bag of salt.

My husband and I met in a chat room 12 years ago. When I had dial up and AOL 2.7.    We spent a great deal of time in private chat rooms, and emailing one another, because we lived 900 miles apart, and long distance was expensive back then.  I can honestly say we got into more fights and misunderstandings during that time than we have in the 10 years of marriage. It is difficult to read what a person "types" and know what the person "feels" or "means".

I know that we are all here for Caylee. Most of us are passionate about the case. It triggers emotions that are very raw for many. Disgust, Anger, Hatred, Disbelief, Grief.  Caylee touched those who post here for a reason, and some of those reasons are heartbreaking. I have read those of you who have also have had family or friends murdered, those of you who have children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces etc who are Caylees' age, those of you who would give your right arm to have a child especially a beautiful daughter like Caylee. For some of us it is a number of things, that brought us here. So please folks, when you post, give your opinion, but try to be sensitive to others. We all may be hiding behind our screens, but we are real people with real feelings.

I am not trying to take sides, just trying to give you my opinion based upon my experiences.

Mods: If I have been the least bit rude or inappropriate please delete my post. If nothing else it made me feel better just in writing it.

very well stated ....

You know, I hate to talk bad about him, because of his loss.  I'm sure he would have been thrilled to have that in his daughter's case.   I can see his point just a bit, but at this point, though extra evidence would be nice, it's the body that they NEED.  So whatever it takes.  Besides, the LE are all for it, so who is he to question?

Whenever Leonard is on he waits until the end of his statement then drops another little hand grenade into the conversation.. tonight's was a Target bag of 2 deodorants found at the site where Casey was said to have been seen with a shovel. When he explained the significance to Nancy she actually shut up for a few seconds to think about it and then said EXCELLENT point Leonard.
I would bet my paycheck Leonard has some bugs on the Anthony property.....

You are absolutely 150% correct...I don't take anything personal anymore...I met my partner online as well years ago...What we went through!  How did you catch up with 40 pages?  If I was that far behind, I would never catch up...This place is kind of like a soap opera...I can catch up after reading that last few pages!

Good evening all, Mark Klaas has really gotten on my last nerve tonight! I don't believe that the OCSO & Tim Miller would do anything that would jeopardize the investigation. There will not be 8000 people in one area. If they have that large amount of searchers then more areas can be searched that are of interest. I just don't like the way he went off about the search! And i trust that Tim will do whatever is humanly possible to ensure these searches are successful. JMO

There will also be a trained team leader which search group.

that's right & I know you will be one. I just can't imagine anyone thinking that a bunch of people will be wandering about with no direction & stomping all over everywhere. It's one hell of a lot more organized than that. Apparently Mark Klaas doesn't know anything about TES. Okay, I'm done ranting for now!

Do any of our forensic specialists have an idea of how long it takes for the death ring to form on a strand of hair?  If Casey put Caylee in the trunk immediately after she died, some of the hair strands might not have had the death ring, yet.  And, if the death ring was present on some hair strands and not on others, it could also indicate that Caylee died while in the trunk.

"the only dumb question is the one you don't ask...."  I think a skydiving instructor told me that.

I think that "nolo contendre" or no contest is essentially the same as guilty, without an explicit admission of guilt.  It's like saying, "I didn't do it but ya'll got me by the short and curlies anyway so let's just get this over with"....

Judge Expected To Accept Casey Anthony's Written Plea
POSTED: 6:49 am EDT October 27, 2008
UPDATED: 10:42 am EDT October 27, 2008

EVIDENCE OF DECOMPOSITION, CHLOROFORM IN CASEY'S CAR

Scientists who conducted forensic tests in the Casey Anthony investigation concluded that human decomposition and evidence of chloroform were present in the trunk of Casey's car, according to the report released Friday.

The report details findings from FBI tests on items found inside Casey's car, including DNA results on hair samples and forensic testing of debris and clothing (read details).

Among the results is confirmation that a hair sample found in the vehicle "exhibits characteristics of apparent decomposition." The report also says that specific hair is "microscopically similar" to hair investigators took from Caylee's hairbrush.

"The hair found in the trunk establishes that Caylee's dead and that her dead body was in the trunk of the car. Even if they don't find the body, it's enough evidence, scientific evidence, to establish that she's dead," said Dr. Michael Baden, nationally-renowned forensic pathologist.

DNA testing done on that piece of hair and compared with a sample provided by Casey confirmed that neither Casey nor Caylee can be "excluded as the source of the hair," because the "mtDNA sequences ... are the same."

Tests also confirmed "residues of chloroform" within a spare tire cover found inside the trunk of Casey's car. "Residues consistent with chloroform" were also found within the left and right side trunk liner. The report says no other chemicals were detected within those items. Coupled with evidence that someone on Casey's computer was researching how to make chloroform, it could explain how Caylee was murdered.

"That would indicate that chloroform has to be considered as a cause of the baby's death," Dr. Baden said.

Odor tests that were conducted on the carpet inside Casey's car concluded that 80 percent of the chemicals identified were "consistent with decompositional events." The results of the FBI's Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) on the same carpet concluded that "while these are still preliminary results ... both odor analysis and LIBS results appear to be quite consistent with a decompositional event having occurred in the trunk of the vehicle."

The report also clarifies that the tests conducted appear to point to human decomposition and not animal. Meanwhile, a hair fragment the FBI found on the shovel Casey borrowed from her neighbor days after investigators believe Caylee was murdered, but that hair did not match Caylee or Casey.

The report's final conclusion is that the results of the tests and comparisons indicate "that a portion of the total odor signature identified in the Florida vehicle trunk is consistent with a decompositional event that could be of human origin."

Every time I watch NG she shows the same tape, the one where Casey is first arrested, she is handcuffed and she is wearing that blue hoodie- as she comes through the door and notices the camera it is all she can do not to smile for the camera.... she smirks all the way past them and I think every time that she is going to laugh or pose.....she was loving it.
I really want to slap her when I see that......
Face it that's the only way this chick was going to be in demand by a news channel.

POOPKINS,  yes, she was found, thank God!  And I agree, I don't think he was thinking when he was speaking.  I believe he still wants to be legitimate, so goes on the talk shows.   But ANYBODY who loses a loved one, especially a child, I just can't say anything bad about them, no matter what.   As long as he doesn't flat out bash TES! Then the gloves are on!

Nancy asked him the same thing "What's your point Leonard?" when he mentioned 2 cans of deodorant-  Well, he says, to deodorize the car of course.........
Also interesting he said she parked next to the dumpster at Amscot so that anyone smelling the car would assume the smell came from the dumpster.
