Teen missing, parents fear she may be with adult male

Mesa police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing 14-year-old girl.

They said Esmeralda Cazares was last seen by her parents on Wednesday when she left with a neighbor to attend school.

Police said the neighbor never dropped her off.

They said it is believed that Cazares had been discussing going to Mexico with an adult male.

Her family believes she may be in the company of an adult male.

Cazares was last seen wearing tan pants with a red shirt. She is 5-feet tall, 100 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, but she may be wearing blue contact lenses.

Missing Mesa girl found in Nevada

A 14-year-old Mesa girl has been found in Nevada after she went missing Wednesday, police said Sunday.

According to police, Esmeralda Cazares was found "in good welfare" Saturday night by Nevada Highway Patrol troopers.

Cazares' parents last saw her leaving for school from home, near Eighth Avenue and Country Club Drive. Police said the neighbor who picked her up had successfully dropped her off at school that morning.

Cazares was taken to a center for runaways after she was discovered, police said.
