I'm not overly encouraged, at this point about the rug. I'm ASSUMING that blood would light up, but if that rug was from the back yard access, it's a common thing for kids to scrape and bump while playing, and bleed on the way inside for a band-aid. I hope it will lead to a connection, but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

Very true CBB, it can light up for many reasons, from it's own cleaner if it has a bluing agent in it.

Now, what will be interesting to me, is if the can match whatever made the "stain" in the trunk light up to this rug..

The trunk is the most interesting thing of all to me. It obviously reeked of a death smell. Why isn't there evidence of what caused that smell, and why isn't there DNA forensic evidence proving the obvious: Caylee's body was there?

now this probably is a long shot, but could the rug have been placed in the trunk to lay caylee on? Then later put back in its place?

ORLANDO, Fla. -- More than 1,400 pages of documents, including new photographs showing a tattoo, were released Friday morning in the Casey Anthony murder case.

Anthony, 23, remains jailed on a first-degree murder charge in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were discovered in December. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008.

A picture of a tattoo on Casey Anthony's upper left back, which was taken under court order by Detective Yuri Melich at the Orange County Jail in August, was among the released photos.

Tattoo artist Danny Colaomarino told investigators he gave Anthony the tattoo, which says "La Vita Bella," meaning the beautiful life, in early July 2008, two weeks after Caylee disappeared.

Although the tattoo does not prove anything, it verifies that Anthony visited the tattoo shop.

Other never-before-seen photos released on Friday included pictures of duct tape that was found over Caylee's skull and the shovel investigators said Casey Anthony borrowed from a neighbor two days before Caylee was last seen alive. Hair and other fibers appear to be attached to the duct tape. The shovel was examined by the FBI for signs that it may have been used to bury Caylee's body, but nothing of interest was pulled from it, documents show.
Anthony has pleaded not guilty, claiming that she left Caylee with a baby sitter named Zenaida Gonzalez and the two were gone when she returned to pick up her daughter.

Investigators have said that they do not believe Anthony's story.

Well we dont have the reports back yet about the vaccumings. That said, the decomp air analysis had to come from somewhere.

It's pure speculation, but I have a box of latex medical gloves at home. The reason is because I work at a clinic and they're accessible. They come in handy for all kinds of things around the house. I'm wondering if Cindy kept a box too, and Casey used a pair. Purely speculation, as I said. It's just really hard to believe she, or anyone else, could handle industrial duck tape and not leave a print without gloves. Teeth aren't as easy to mask, but if she were careful enough to use gloves, she may have thought about tearing the tape with her teeth as well.

"The letters found with Caylee's remains are believed to be from the shirt she was wearing. The words will spell out 'Big trouble comes in small packages'. The words 'packages' and 'in' were recovered at the crime scene while the remaining words were with the remains. It was theorized Caylee was intentionally placed in this shirt because of what it says".

Bolded by me....WHAT?? the shovel was not borrowed 2 days BEFORE Caylee was last seen alive, it was borrowed 2 days AFTER she was seen alive. When is media going to report the facts in this case?

Casey's back does show a lot of some kind of irritation.  I wonder what it looked like when she was first arrested.  It must have been worse because she did spend most of the time on her back......

I am confused ........how can they "eliminate" fingerprints of CA, GA and LA when the docs read  "no lats" according to the docs ???????  Are there other forms of testing that are done for prints?
