Nope, no emotion. She's just stone faced. Too bad they didn't have that huge picture of Caylee there. Wonder if she would have shown any emotion then.

I wish she'd just scream out "I did it" quit this nonsense now!! Fire JB and confess it all right there in the courtroom!!

IMO she appears to be zoning out, pretending that this is not happening to her.  THat may be why she has not appeared at any of these hearings for a while. 

I don't know maybe she's pretending she's an actress in a movie? Who knows what's going through her mind? Probably don't want to know.

I have never been in her shoes (never want to be) BUT- when I was a young girl during discipling sessions with my parents I would zone out.  Detach.  I think that is what she is doing.  If she lets any of this in, then her internal whole world will fall apart.

Well, I'm in the minority. I think Casey looks very good, her complexion has cleared up, she seems more alert and focused.

It's amazed what forced abstinence from booze, illegal drugs, and wanton orgies will do for a body.

 

Bet she gets a good nights sleep, too!!

No emotion most of the time but like someone said in another post that she did have a couple of like smirky smiles.

IMHO Cin Cin did not do anything about Casey because it is hard as a mother to believe there is an issue with your child.  It is one of the hardest things in life for a mother and the only way thro it is to look to the one that has a life to build, not one that has already set the future.  Cin could have requested emergency custody of Caylee at any time.  This can be granted in 24 hours and does not require mom or child to be there.  She could have done this that first day or several days later when she wasn't able to talk to Caylee.  I know because I just had to do this in Oct and it is hard, really hard.  She needed to decide which life she was going to save and picked wrong.

I think you're right that she didn't do anything because she didn't want to believe Casey's problems are that bad. I don't think she was actually aware that she was "deciding which life to save."  I get the feeling they'd had arguments like this before, and nothing bad like this had happened to Caylee before, so she figured Casey would cool off in a day or two and come home, with Caylee.

I'm not sure that just being told "you'll never see Caylee again" is sufficient grounds for 24 hour emergency custody. Not letting a child see their grandparent, and not having a job, aren't grounds. There would have to be some more clear threat to the child's well-being. Attending a party when you're supposed to be working isn't sufficient either. She'd have had to have something pretty heavy, like an injury to Caylee or proof that Casey had left her somewhere and not checked on her for a long time.

I feel differently about this.

If a child is sick, the Mom is the first to notice and want to find a way to heal/help that child, not enable the child to continue to be ill.

When the child is under 18 and under your specific care/control, sure.  Once your child becomes an adult, all kinds of other factors come into play which may make you become an enabler.  For starters, you don't have as much control over the adult version of your child as you did over the minor child version of your child.

This did not just show up since she has been 18.

I doubt they knew she was going to be there, unless they were watching...  like us!
Conway probably did not want them to be present because then he could not control what they might say on their way in or out of the court house.  Not to ention if Kathi Belich was yelling at Cindy, you know how she hates her!
