No, in the last hour this entire site has gone down a couple times.  It seems to be OK now but the problem was happening to everyone, not just you.

One of the nation's leading researchers on child sexual abuse, David Finkelhor, estimates that 1,000,000 Americans are victims of father-daughter incest, and 16,000 new cases occur annually (Finkelhor, 1983). However, Finkelhor's statistics may be significantly low because they are based primarily on accounts of white, middle-class women and may not adequately represent low-income and minority women (Matsakis, 1991).

In addition, some recent research suggests that some victims of incest may suffer from biochemically-induced amnesia. This condition can be triggered by a severe trauma, such as a sexual assault, which causes the body to incur a number of complex endocrine and neurological changes resulting in complete or partial amnesia regarding the event. Thus, any immediate and/or latent memory of the incident(s) is repressed (Matsakis, 1991).

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) -- which includes amnesia, nightmares and flashbacks -- also remains prevalent among incest survivors (Vanderbilt, 1992). Additionally, there is research which indicates that children who have been sexually abused by a relative suffers from even more intense guilt and shame, low self-esteem, depression and self-destructive behavior (such as substance abuse, sexual promiscuity and prostitution) than children who have been sexually assaulted by a stranger (Matsakis, 1991).

# Adults who were incestuously victimized by adults in their childhood often suffer from low self-esteem, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, and sexual dysfunction; and are at an extremely high risk of many mental disorders including depression, anxiety, phobic avoidance reactions, substance abuse, borderline personality disorder, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. In the 1st video, (about the 6:00 mark) George is telling Casey he wishes he could go back in time and change things, do things different, talk to Casey when she wanted to talk, but he can't..........listen to what Casey says when George is talking.....she talks over him a little so you have to listen to what she's saying and block out George.

Blink has on her site that there were latent prints found on the outside of Casey's trunk. I am trying to think what importance that could have, as anyone in the tow company could have touched it, the Anthonys certainly did, and goodness knows who else while it was parked at Amscot. Am I missing something? 

To me, the lack of more prints on her trunk was significant, it looks like someone wiped it clean.

1) Are first cousins having intercourse considered incestuous?
2) If so, is it considered a felony?
3) What, if any, are the legal ramifications?

Answer:

The first question you asked is a difficult one. The way in which incest is defined depends on the context. Science, religion, psychology, law, culture, individuals, etc. all define incest in different (although sometimes similar) ways. Answers.com does a fairly good job of collecting many of these different methods of defining incest. According to Florida Statute 826.04, intercourse between cousins is not considered incest. This means that it is not a felony, nor is it illegal; therefore, there are no legal ramifications in Florida. It is important to note that intercourse between cousins is considered incest and illegal in many other states. In some of these states, incest is considered a felony which can lead to serious jail time.

In our society today, intercourse and/or marriage between cousins is still seen as taboo. It is important to keep the rest of your family's feelings in mind, as it can be extremely difficult and sometimes very painful for family members to find out about a sexual relationship of this nature. Lastly, it is important to keep in mind other laws which put limits on sexual behavior such as consent laws.

From what I understand the "incest" laws have been reversed and even taken off the books in some states as a result of lawsuits filed by the homosexual lobby and supporters. They are considered archaic in our "more enlightened society today by those who want them removed all together.  In the states they do still exist they seem to be pretty much ignored if the participants are of the age of consent. I could not find anywhere persons had been charged with incest except in the case of minors.   In researching all of this, it became obvious to me that no one seems to be charged with this as a crime . (if they ever were as adults) I don't know if that is because the crime is hard to prove or they just don't do it.

Pretty interesting stuff but sure hope no one ever wants my computer trail later as they will think I am some kind of pervert looking up all the incest laws. LOL

Sure more than I ever wanted to know too.............but since some thought if a family member was Caylee's father, then automatically they would have been charged by the state for incest, which reading up on this may not be valid.  I am still thinking that KC may use that excuse as her defense with the "blackouts" professionals attribute to women who have been in incestuous relationships for long periods of time.

Those letters serve a purpose, and I am leaning toward those being part of her defense and the reason they want to "hide" the identity of their so called "experts" who are going to testify. .

What if the person responsible made a deal with the state to testify against KC in exchange for no charges being brought against them? It has been said the state "knows" who the father is and that is sealed, so WHY would that not be released?

In that case, I think they should try both Lee and George for incest and see what becomes of it before her trial.  If there was incest, it does not seem to have been okay with her, therefore, it appears, if it even happened, to also be rape.  That would clear up any discrepancy before the trial occurs.  The Anthonys, through counsel, have already denied this.  I think one of the reasons they are avoiding publicity is they know this question will come up in any interview.  If this is true, get it off the table before the defense even puts the tablecloth on.

We know the defense reads the blogs.  Many here have already stated they would not convict Casey, in case of incest, of killing her daughter.  If they are reading here, that is the one thing they know now will keep her from death. 

Yes, that is their only chance in avoiding the DP that I can see at this point. The babysitter crap will never fly and they know that is a done deal with the public.

I do remember the FBI report cleared Lee of paternity but nothing has ever been said about anyone else that I can find. The allies were interesting in that report, which led me to believe it was another close relationship.  I have tried to find if there was an uncle, half brother, etc in that family who lived close but have not had any luck in that. On one of the blogs out of Ohio someone claimed GA had an older son by a previous marriage but I have not been able to find anything else about that. I have found where he was married before though.

I was one that said I wouldn't convict her of the DP if incest was the case. But for me I personally wouldn't want to be on any DP case and would make my intentions known, if for some reason this would ever happen to me. I'm not against the DP, just that I wouldn't want to be responsible for someone getting it, if that makes any sense.

Turbo, this syndrome is well known but it is NOT present here.   Casey used this victimization at least twice that we know of to others years apart which means she was mindful of what she was saying.   It also could be noted that she apparently brought it up at times where a male in her life was indicating that he might be fed up with her antics & ending the relationship lending thought to the fact that she may very well be using it as a manipulation as opposed to be fact.

Ugh... These are painful.   They should put these on Mystery Science Theater 3000.  (I got my own version of it running in my head the whole time I listen to this!)   

May I recommend Mafia Wars. It's an excellent stress reliever (except when it's down!).

Oh I totally agree..................it is not relevant but they may very well try to make it so. Remember, in Tony L's statement to LE about how she told him about Lee and how she was afraid to be alone with Lee? Then at the jail George said " You know Casey, things are going to start coming out about us, about our family..."

I have always wondered why the DNA results are being so closely guarded and why Lee had to be forced by court order to take the DNA swabbing. Did KC tell him that Caylee was his? Why did Cindy gave the police the wrong hairbrush and wanted to give the police the dog's toothbrush when they were making a DNA profile for Caylee? That to me was VERY telling that something was wrong.........

Why Cindy told a reporter that no one would EVER find out who the father was and what secret Cindy was so concerned that Casey may have told in jail that Casey had to reassure her mother not to worry, that she hadn't told anybody anything.

I have been convinced from the beginning there is a deep secret this family was hiding about the father of Caylee as I have also been convinced it is a huge contributing factor the the murder.

I don't get the significance either, but I hope the fingerprint ins Dr. Lee's.

That I have little doubt, there are deep dark secrets this family has, just don't know what they are. But I think it is obvious by their actions.

At one time I think it was on Topix in that area that her sister told a lot of things about GA. Even gave her sister's name and address and told people to contact her personally if they wanted to know what a low life GA was. LOL

I am sure LE has contacted her if nothing else just to verify all the players.

I still stand strong that I think GA is daddy.  Too many factors for me to dismiss.  I think GJ test. assured no arrest.  If not that, then perhaps will be revisited after the trial ends.  Regardless of it, poor Caylee deserved none of what she received.

Could it be AFTER GA did all that "cleaning' of the car and wiped it down totally that LEE moved the body to make it look like it was moved while KC was in jail?

I have half way expected for KC to tell that she went to Lee's house that night when she left the Anthony's after the blow up and left Caylee with Lee and/or his roommate and she drown or something in Lee's care. Since the pings from her phone would have been the same at the Anthony's or at Lee's she might have been able to pull that off if she told it to begin with in her lies.  I have always wondered if LE did a good follow up on that house before Lee moved. Some of those pictures he painted then threw away were very disturbing to me.

Oh geez I forgot about those pictures in the trash  ::MonkeyEek::  Lee makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, he is nothing but creepy to me.

First time I have read here in many many months -- well, the incest thing was heavily theorized since the first month of this case. I know it is really harsh, but I have thought this was the situation from the beginning. I would be more shocked, if it wasn't. Both George AND Lee have exhibited signs of extreme personal shame and culpability of being the father. That family has BIG secrets. -JMO

My sister terri was married to George Anthony during the mid to late 70’s. They dated all through high school and married for about 5 years, of not so wonderful wedding bliss.
She can tell you that George Anthony was an habitual liar. He had to always fabricate his stories, constantly lying, that was the main reason they divorced.
George’s father Lee, owned and operated a very successful used car dealership for many years in Niles, Ohio, called Anthony’s Auto Sales, before retiring to Florida.
I wonder were George learned to lie so well. He was born in to it, litterally.
As they say, “Like father, like daughter.”
Give my sister a call and she’ll enlighten you of George Anthony’s dark, deceitful side evidently passed on to his daughter.
Her name now is Terri Vandervault, living in Niles, Ohio

And after searching Vandervault in Ohio, there aren’t any.  I am really interested if there was a phone number to call this so called sister!  I am not saying the commenter is lying, not saying that, but whoever posted on another site, has a really big imagination, and should check facts.

I think that the A's will find out the sickening details of how little Caylee died. With the prisoner accusing father and brother of "molesting" her Lee has all but vanished and I think that GA is soon to follow. I think that Casey has and always will blame her mother for all her "bad ways". I think Cindy will snap very soon. They have lost everything and now they are losing the roof over their heads. They can only have so many pictures and videos of Caylee until the well runs dry. Maybe Cindy & George will FINALLY explode on her & do what they should have done long ago let her go. Casey made her bed and Caylee's and now it's time for her to lay down in it with reality slamming her in the head. Granted I dont think that they want to see her on death row but maybe just maybe they will wake up and realize that their precious little angel is right where she belongs.

Then again maybe it will come out that Cindy helped her after the fact cover things up and the state will go after her as well.

My final thought is that Karma is about to rear it's head with fierce justice like an ATOMIC BOMB!

I, too, believe there is a "deep" secret that the family is keeping.  I'm wondering if it has anything to do with George not attending court a couple of times lately, and the one time he did attend, he appeard to be in a black and/or angry mood.

I, too, believe that the defense will try "anything" - whether it makes sense to the rest of us or not. 

IMO we "will" see something from the defense that will shock us (even us) during the trial.  And...of course, many tactis that will absolute infuriate the monkeys!!

IMO, KC threw Caylee away like she was trash.  NO ONE else touched that body.  I don't believe that KC would admit to anyone, including her family, that she had anything to do with the killing of Caylee.  I believe KC will go to her death saying she didn't do it. 

With the phone pings being the same, makes me wonder if KC spent a lot of her time at Lee's house - the time that we've wondered where in the world KC was...maybe it was at Lee's...especially if he was at work.

I am not saying Caylee is the product of incest, she got her sweetness somewhere and it was not from the Anthonys, imo.  What I understand Casey to be saying is this happened while she was still not of the age of consent, therefore it would not only be immoral, but illegal as well, and also, I believe, rape.  If this is what she is saying, clear it up now, don't wait.

No Rose, you were not the only one who said they could not sentence her to death under that circumstance, it seemed to be a majority here, at the time.

I have said before that I am not for the death penalty, live experiments and organ harvesting, maybe, but not death.

It sounds like it was someone who was on the A's side until they got to know them, and then became sooo disgusted with the A's that they had to get away from them...but not with taping some of the A's antics first....that's why Yuri needs to be informed about this poster!

Well, they can try but on rebuttal the State will crucify them with their own experts.

As far as "things are going to come out..." it could be as simple as affairs, money trouble, stealing, etc that we already known about or something darker.

In regards to the DNA results being sealed, they often are in high profile murder cases until trial.  Lee could have just been defiant because it was well known when he became angry with LE after he was taped in Tony's car & perhaps because he helped with Casey's car after the fact, its obvious it wasnt due to paternity.   Speaking of which, I think it is important to remember that it would be an extremely minuscule probability that a brother and father were both assaulting within the same family.

Cindy may have said that because she or Casey doesnt even know themselves or she could have meant that they would never disclose it so for me her comment doesn't make me automatically go toward an incest scenario.   Same thing with Casey, it could have been any number of things that Cindy was worried she did not want out for all to hear...with this family the list is long & not the least of which what Cindy, George & Lee did to help conceal what Casey did as accessories after the fact (they all should be charged but Im not confident it will be done).    Cindy probably gave the wrong hair brush purposely to the FBI because in her feeble mind she thought it would make it difficult for them to match up Casey's and Caylee's DNA to the crime scenes, Casey's trunk, Surburban Dr woods & maybe a third.  I think she was intentionally trying to alter the DNA results to destroy any chance the DNA could be entered into evidence - PS I think she had assistance with that thought because she isnt that sophisticated in thought or knowledge.  The other reasons is Cindy is just that mean spirited as her spawn monster, she seemed to take pleasure giving LE a hard time & she brushed Caylee to the side as soon as she didnt call 911 from the tow yard, IMHO from July 15th on it was about protecting Casey no matter what she said to the contrary.

An Open Letter to Cindy & George Anthony

Dear Cindy and George.

I heard you voiced a very bad opinion of "bloggers" on your latest appearance on the Larry King Live show. (Which I refused to watch!) Well, I am a blogger, and I am proud of it. I have my own blog, and I post on another blog that reports on news about fires and disasters. I also post on message boards, which some people call "blogging". From what I've heard, Cindy, you feel that I am a bad person because of my "blogging". You say that bloggers don't know what "unconditional love" is.

I beg to differ with you, Cindy, I am a Mom and a Grandma in addition to being a blogger. And I love my daughters, my sons-in-law, my grandchildren and the rest of my extended family. I do not put conditions on any of my family members in order for them to have my love. If one of my family members managed to get in trouble with the law, I would still love them. But I wouldn't try to cover up their "problem" by lying the way you and George have. There is a difference between "unconditional love" and trying to cover up for them.

Yes, I have written posts on this blog about the Anthony family. And the posts have not been "supportive" because I have reported on what I observed on the television screen and in the news papers that I read online. I have read the documents that have been released and I have watched most of the videos of interviews with investigators and the visits at the jail. There hasn't been a whole lot in all of those news items, documents or videos that warrant a "positive" reaction from me.

From the very start, Cindy, you were not a sympathetic person. When I first heard the news about the disappearance of Caylee, I actually felt sorry for you and George. But, you chose to try to control all of the interviews when you were trying to get Caylee's face on the nation's television screens. And if you weren't trying to control what the news casters were saying, you were playing the "drama queen". How can anyone be sympathetic towards someone who got in everyone's faces when they mentioned your daughter's involvement with the disappearance of your granddaughter during the interviews. How can anyone be sympathetic towards a woman who stood up at a vigil in your front yard and demanded that everyone get off their asses and go out and search for your granddaughter. (Did you ever get off your ass and search for Caylee?) How could anyone be sympathetic towards someone who tells one story to the media one day and an entirely different story the next? How could anyone be sympathetic towards someone who tells the investigators one thing and then switches around and tells the investigators and the media something completely different in the next interview? How could anyone be sympathetic towards a family with a missing child who berates the searchers for that child because they aren't searching in the way that you wanted?

I understand that you wanted to believe that Caylee was alive. Somewhere. And you wanted people to go out searching for a live child. Not a body. But, you have to agree that the "search" for that child was a futile task from day one. Or perhaps I should say, it was a futile search from day 31 because your daughter chose not to tell anyone that Caylee was missing. Your daughter did not report her child missing. You, Cindy, were the one who called the police. 31 days late. You put Caylee's picture on our TV screens. But, we never had a description of the "kidnapper". We never even had an accurate description of when the child went missing! Where the hell was anyone even to start searching?

Yes, I understand that you are grieving for the loss of your beautiful little granddaughter. Yes, I understand that you are worried that your daughter is facing at the very least, life in prison with no parole. But, in my opinion, you are and have been handling the whole ordeal badly. Very badly. And you blame the "bloggers" for your bad image. I'm sorry, Cindy. Your bad image has been earned by you. If there had been more truth from you, George and Lee, perhaps the "bloggers" would have been more sympathetic towards you. If your daughter had spoken more truths, perhaps your granddaughter would have been found much sooner than December 11th.

And now, you want the world to send you money for this "foundation" that you've started. And your first "product" is a bear for first responders to give to children? Are you aware that first responders have been doing that very thing for years? Your grand idea is an old one. I'm sorry, George and Cindy, I will not be sending money to your organization. I also won't be sending money to your friends, the Milsteads with their billboard company or their "extreme" fishing boat. I will be sending my hard earned money to real organizations who have done more for victims that either of you will ever do.

    I would rather send my money to Tim Miller and Equusearch.
    I would rather send money to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
    I would rather send money to Mark Klaas and the Klaas Kids Foundation.
    I would rather send money to the Carole Sund/Carrington Memorial Reward Foundation.

And I'm sure there are a few other worthwhile organizations that I've missed listing. No, George and Cindy. Don't be expecting any checks from me or my family.

I do have some questions for the pair of you, though. For instance, why on earth are the two of you working so hard to get more media coverage for yourselves and your daughter? Your daughter's defense "team" are trying to get a change of venue for her murder trial because they say that there has been too much information in the media. Why are you trying to get more media coverage? And national media coverage at that! Why are you rushing into this "foundation" thing so fast? You still have a trial to get through! Why on earth do you two think you could advise another family with a missing child when you've handled your own tragedy so horribly? Are you going to have them turn water hoses on people? Are you going to tell them to shake hammers at people? Are you going to tell them to stand up and scream that the media and the public are maggots and parasites? Are you going to tell them to demand that the searchers are only allowed to look for a "live" child? Are you going to advise them to lie to investigators?

My advice to you, George and Cindy, is to shut up, get out of the media and wait for the trial to be over before you try doing something in Caylee's name. Wait until after the trial before you decide whether or not you've learned anything that could possibly help the another family with a missing child. I honestly do not think you've learned anything.... Yet.

I was actually surprised to find an email from Cindy Anthony in my inbox this morning in response to what I had written to her and George the other day.

To start off, I'll show you all what I wrote to Cindy the evening after I posted the Open Letter to Cindy and George.

Lets see. How shall I respond? Should I be as snide and nasty as she was? Or should I just be "me" and respond naturally. Hmm.... That's not a tough decision at all. There is no way I could be the same kind of person that Mrs. Cindy Anthony seems to be. I guess I'll take it item by item for my response, and the response will not be via email. It will be here, in the open for everyone to see. I have nothing to hide.

    * Good for you. What did you accomplish?

Hmm... What did I accomplish by what? Writing that letter to you and George? Well, I suppose I vented a bit by telling you and George what I thought. That's always good, venting makes the blood pressure go down, right? As for anything real being accomplished as a result of that letter, I would guess absolutely nothing, because I'm quite sure you didn't truly read what I wrote nor take any of it to heart. What I wrote to you was what I would have told a "real friend" if I saw one of them behaving the way you and George have. (Thank heavens I don't have friends like you and George!)

    * Who did you help by sitting on your ass wasting hrs reading trash others have written?

First of all, Cindy, you need to define the "trash" you think I am reading. If you mean the fire department information that I read every day, I wouldn't consider that "trash". If you mean the news bulletins about earthquakes, I wouldn't consider that "trash" either. (I post information about fires, earthquakes, accidents and other real tragedies on a fire news blog! Remember? I told you that in the open letter! DOH!) If you mean the emails and notices about real missing children, why would those be "trash" to you? Define the "trash" you think I'm reading, and I just might give you an answer to that inane question.

    * Are you overweight?

LOL! And my weight has what to do with what? I guess in your warped imagination, you think all "bloggers" are overweight? Well, you couldn't be more wrong. If you think you got a "one up" on me by asking that question, nope.. You are wrong again. You gave me a pretty good laugh. For your information, I'm not overweight. I am active enough with my gardening, chasing grandkids and other things that I don't have to worry about my weight. As if my weight has anything to do with your behavior! LOL!

    * Do you not have real friends?

Oh my, is that supposed to be another "insult"? You think that "bloggers" have no "real friends"? You are wrong again. I have friends. Real ones. And they are all over the place. Here locally, across the country and even overseas. Try another insult, Cindy. That one didn't work. I'm guessing you didn't read any of my blog at all. If you had, you might have seen mentions of a few of my friends. But then, I don't post their names publicly. They know who they are, and they also know who each other are when they read my blog. I guess you didn't see the mentions of my "trucker friend". Or the friend who knows a lot about computers and helps me out. Bah.. I'm not going to list my friends out for you in this post, but I would hazard a guess that I have more "real friends" than you do, especially now that you've exposed your true nature on national TV for almost a year now.

    * Who did you help today by sitting blogging?

Which day are you referring to? Yesterday, I posted news about a terrible wild fire that has been burning near Santa Barbara, California. It had information about the evacuation zones and contact numbers so that people can call to get information about whether or not their home burned down. The day before that, I posted information about an earthquake. My blog has an Amber Alert ticker on it, so that every single person who lands on my main blog can see if there is a missing child somewhere, I'd say that might help a few people, especially if one person happens to see that ticker and has actually seen that child. For instance, there is that sweet looking little boy in Southern California that was kidnapped right out of his home. I have "real friends" who live in Southern California and they read my blog, do you think they might keep extra alert for that little boy? This morning, I have started a blog post about another event that is coming up later this summer that will benefit an organization that helps victims of domestic violence. That post won't be published until after I get a bit more information from my brother and the brother of the woman the event is named for, Kacie Barron. There have been quite a few posts on my blog about Kacie and Kacie's Ride For Hope, so I am guessing that those posts have been helpful to quite a few people.

Cindy, I think you completely missed the point of my open letter to you and George. And somehow I'm not at all surprised. I don't think you can see beyond your own ego.

The reason I think Cindy tampered with any and all evidence she could get her hands on is that Cindy thought Casey was guilty.  There is no other explanation for it.  If she really wanted to catch the person who last had Caylee, Cindy would have run to the person who asked, with anything and everything that was needed to find her Granddaughter.  She washed pants, washed the knife, and other evidence in a car that smelled like a dead body was in the damn trunk. 

If she thought Casey was innocent, she would have wanted to preserve evidence, instead she admittedly gave the wrong hairbrush to the authorities with glee, destroyed evidence, withheld receipts, etc. and lied her azz off to make sure the trail to find her Granddaughter was detoured as many times as she could possibly do it.  She wanted the trail to be as cold as she is.

Of course, if these funds are listed as salaries before they are considered surplus funds, the president or any of the employees will get that money people think they are donating to charity.

I remember hearing, when my son was a small child, that the head of Blue Cross got an end of the year bonus of $3 million dollars for keeping costs down.  Of course, that money came at the expense of many who really needed the care that was denied them, which most likely even cost people their lives, it certainly cost them their health, and at the very least, made others uncomfortable. 

Do not let the fact that an entity is listed as a non-profit fool you.  Just look up how much the person who is in charge of the Red Cross makes.

Evans' salary at the Red Cross was $651,957 for the fiscal year ending June 2003...Evans received a severance package valued at about $780,000 after she was ousted from the organization in December, 2005.

Am thinking that for them to use this defense, those so called "experts" are gonna have a mighty hard time proving Casey has a history of blackouts and/or a history of anything else in her past.  No matter who those experts are, I say 'good luck' with that, mainly because there supposedly are no mental health records from her past for them to refer back to.  All they are gonna have to go on is whatever Casey comes up with now, and their own ability/expertise in being able to know whether or not she's telling them the truth, or helping them write the next chapter in the 'Great American Novel'.

Believe it or not, that is VERY common for an older brother and a father to molest the same child. It is seen quite often in families where incest occurs. Many times of the child is molested young she will "act out" with her brother in the same way she learned to act out with her father for "favors" within the family.

YEP..................they kept talking over and over about the "SCRIPT" and the nanny and I believe the only script was the one they put together that night when she got KC home..............From then on it was trying to keep their stories straight in the family.

CBS News has shared new photos of Caylee and Casey Anthony at its Web site for 48 Hours Mystery. I would imagine that these photos are part of the earlier deal under which CBS News licensed material from George and Cindy Anthony.

But I’ve asked CBS News what the story is.

CBS News last year paid $20,000 to George and Cindy Anthony to license photos and other material. The parents of Casey Anthony appeared on “48 Hours Mystery” and “The Early Show.”

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Two years ago, ABC News paid $200,000 to Casey Anthony and her family to license video and photos of the toddler. Later that year, Casey Anthony was charged with the child’s murder.

Wonder how much CBS paid? It just never ceases to amaze me, the evilness of this family, should be use to it by now  ::MonkeyShocked::

For some reason the Anthony's have been preying on my mind today. Like I said earlier I believe the ONLY script was the one they wrote for KC to follow. They KNEW immediately when that car was picked up Caylee was dead. There could be NO OTHER REASON to take that car home and methodically clean it out from top to bottom.

When CA picked up KC  They did not think KC was dead because I believe (IMO) KC had been talking to GA. I think LE has the info from the phones. Speaking of which WHY did GA and KC both have more than one cell phone? What were they hiding from CA and others?

Anyone else who smelled decomposition in their child's car would have called the police. A normal person when that trunk was opened at the wrecker yard, would have called LE right then. Blow flies in a trunk are a d*mn good indicator there has been a body in the trunk. George KNEW that immediately. That is why he took the car home and started cleaning it. That is why Cindy took all the clothes out of the car; the knives she found and we don't even know what else she washed or destroyed. THEY KNEW BOTH KNEW...............the thing to do then was make up what to do next. So CA told GA to go to work and act like things were normal until she could find KC which she did. You can't tell me a man who had been a cop, smelled decomp in his daughter's car cleaned up body fluids left by that poor baby would go to work unless the SCRIPT started BEFORE KC was found.

Cindy did not say a word about Caylee when she first called the police............it was all about MONEY and the car.  She KNEW about the "dead body" smell then............she was tying to get KC to tell her the truth by threatening her with jail on the car & money. She was putting her plan together of how to sell this to others. She had a plan her and GA had worked out and when KC would not break she started ranting on the phone in that 3rd call. She said in one of the interviews that she "overhead" KC & Lee talking about the nanny taking Caylee and acted like that was the catalyst. She already KNEW because in her little ride around town just her and KC after dropping Annie off they talked. KC threatened to tell all about their family secrets if CA told anything.

There is SO MUCH more to this which I am thinking about with the Anthonys. I just have a feeling something is going to happen real soon. I think it involves GA - BTW - He did not attempt suicide in my opinion at all. He wrote that note for later. He was planning on doing it after the trial or during because KC is going to expose him and he had been writing that for a while. That is why it was in the car and CA found it instead of the police and my guess is she hid parts of it because they got it later. (after she had sanitized it)

I would think she would have at least been on birth control, unless her mother had her 'fixed'.

Thanks for the refresher---I remembered reading something such as this but couldn't recall exactly where. 

They have earned the public's disdain & contempt all by themselves by their own words & their own actions which we have all witnessed from afar, via their endless television appearances & the written texts of transcripts of their very own words.

Thanks. Not only does this show that George is not Caylee's father, but it shows he actually has the Y gene (rendering him George as opposed to Georgette as I am fond of calling him).

George knew first, important because he said he was scared to open the trunk of the car because he might find Caylee inside, he said this in front of witnesses. He was a homicide cop so he knew it was important to preserve what was in the trunk...however by the time they got the car home it was a sure bet that they discussed the possibility of Caylee being deceased and decided to sanitize the crime scene. Cindy was of course equally culpable, in light of this I can't understand why charges were never bought against them. I only hope that this will change after KC's been sentenced. I can't abide either of these people.

George knew from his training and experience about dead bodies and he KNEW he should have never left that car lot without calling police first.  He did leave...even said he had to roll down the windows to drive because the odor was so overpowering.  George's training gave him the knowledge to know that police should have been called to the car lot.

ALSO, that manager/owner/whatever of the car lot should have ALREADY called the police to the car lot because he knew the smell was the same as another car they had with a dead body.

I wish people wouldn`t get so worked up about something that the family has brought on themselves by their very own behaviors and allegations. I guess it is a testament to how the general public feels about incest. The thought of it makes me do the shivering icky dance too.

I am not sure what is going on here, but the reports they quote on there are not GA'S DNA...........

There are reports on Buccal samples from Brain M. Burner (to rule out his DNA) for the shovel and many for the blood on the car seat and other things from the car, but unless I totally missed it there are NONE which identify GA's DNA on any of those reports and I have spent the last two hours reading them. Does anyone see where I missed that?

The ones on the first ones they used as an example was done in July of 08 - long before there was a court order for Lee's DNA.............

I am pretty sure the reason there have been no charges so far is they need them  to testify in the murder trial and to charge them before the trial would allow them to plead the 5th on everything they are asked.

I do believe they will be charged for conspiracy after the trial...........They may even use the R.I.C.O. Act to charge them since they have set up these non profits and collected money.

The Y gene is the gene which identifies the sex. Caylee would not have had a Y gene.

In females both the sex chromosomes are the same – two X chromosomes (XX). In males the two are different – one X chromosome and one Y chromosome (XY). The Y chromosome is shorter than the X. Genes on these chromosomes determine a person's sex (sex determination).

Thank you very much Karma.  I never thought that George was the father or Lee.  I also do not believe Casey's stories about her brother and father touching her or having sex with her.  It's just one more Casey lie.

I do wonder at Jesus though being the father.  Does anyone know if his DNA was tested and what the results were.  I thought that the DNA was tested but we never heard about those results. 

My musings Part II from last night

When Tony picked up KC in front of the check cashing place, she had frozen food from her freezer in bags from home. Could it be that she needed the space in the freezer for Caylee for a few days until she could get back there and move the body?  How easy it would be to take everything out of the freezer sit it aside put the body in the bottom and then cover it all back up with the other food; hide the key for a day and get back to moving the body later?  Since the body was not in the car at that time it had to be somewhere.  Which takes me to the “grave wax.” They did find grave wax on a paper towel in the trunk and grave wax (Adipocere) on the hair according to the FBI report.

Going back to the freezer and the grave wax. Many times bodies which have been frozen in a closed bag or container will develop grave wax because of the lack of air circulation.  A small child with fatty tissue would be more susceptible to grave wax. I have had my suspicions about that freezer from the beginning. KC backed her car in the garage on Monday after the 15th weekend. If she could not get the baby buried in the back yard, then what about stuffing her in garbage bags and putting her in the freezer with the other food on top of her for a few days until she could get rid of the body. If she did put her in the freezer when she put her in the car trunk again, the body would almost immediately go to mush in the Florida heat. KC never thought about that happening and that is why the fluids leaked all over the trunk. If she put her in there during the day while the Anthony’s were gone by the time night time came where she could dump it, it would have been mush and all it would take would be a small prick in the bag for it to spew all over that trunk when she got the body out. She could have caught the bag on anything, including the trunk latch and opps…………..maybe she even made a small hole in the bag when getting it out of the freezer and the seepage was fast and furious once the heat of the day came.
I really don’t think she had dumped it right away. I think she used Tony’s car to dump the body so no one would recognize hers there. If you remember he left right after that to go to NYC and she kept his car.   If I remember correctly, he did give LE his vehicle to inspect and there has been no documents available on that yet. There was also the “break in” at his apartment while he was gone. I believe that was her also because he would not let her have his key. Whatever she had hidden there she had to get.
 
Something which I have considered is the federal government can “snapshot” any time period with satellite and I wonder if the FBI has those snapshots of the location of the body for the dates from June 16th to July which they are going to use. It would show any car there day or night and could identify anyone in the pictures. It is amazing what NASA has of that area. The timing would be about right for the FBI to get those satellite shots when they decided on the death penalty.

I have always believed she tried to originally put the baby in the back yard but could not dig a hole with the hard dirt so she scrapped that plan after dropping decomp all over the place or she tried to rinse off the blankets she used to hide the baby in right after she first killed her.  I can’t decide where she killed her. I still think right there in that house. My reasoning for that is she went back there during the days when everyone was at work.  If she didn’t kill her there she killed her in the car the night she left their house in a rage and then went back there the next day to try to do something with the body.  She was seen walking around a hotel parking lot in the phone.

I had originally thought she went to Lee’s first that night because of closeness of his house. It was told that he was in Chicago that night but I am not so sure about that. He was the one who told about CA choking KC. He told it in the first person then told that GA told him about it so what the truth is about that who knows? 
He also told it as a June 9th event and we all know now from the neighbor’s account it was the 15th. They kind of messed up the “script” when choosing their dates to use between the neighbor’s account of the evening and the nursing home.  The confusion of the date also led me to believe they had a script.  NO ONE forgets the last time they saw their grandbaby forever.  They were so busy trying to cover up for KC they got it mixed up.  I am not even sure they were going to tell anything about the nursing home at all but the police took the computer and cameras then found it. Maybe there was a reason why the 9th of June had to be the script date that we don’t know yet.

The story GA told about the last time he saw her and KC never resonated right with me. His total recall of the times and then the description of their clothing was nonsense for a man. Men are not that perceptive about clothing or time.  He had all of that down too pat and of course the clothing description we all know now was totally different than what Caylee was found in. Of course it was because she was already dead that day. They made all of that up.  He told once that he fed Caylee breakfast then he told another time that they came out of the room like they did everyday about that time.  So how could she be working (which he knew she wasn’t) if she did not come out of her room until after noon?  CA said she did not see Caylee or KC that morning. What 2 year old is going to stay in their room with NO FOOD until noon? What did GA and KC hide from CA while she was at work on a regular bais?  I have always thought between GA’s gambling and the Craig’s list ads something else was going on in the household between GA & KC.  Not necessarily sexual at that time, but maybe an escort service, drugs or something else. I just have had a feeling there is a lot more to come out. GA was not surprised at the “photos” of KC on the web and he was the only one they showed the pictures to. Why not Lee or CA? Interesting.  I also have my doubts about how honest and involved Annie was in KC’s life. Something is just not right there either.

I keep thinking there was some reason KC went to Jessie’s apartment that day “to take a shower.” There was something in that house she wanted to try to use to later incriminate Jesse. Her mother was furious at his parents by that time and she was up to something. I always wondered if she tried to get some hair from his brush or something from his place which she could use later to implicate him although no one but her knew Caylee was dead at that time. She KNEW she was dead.  Since she was talking to GA at that time on their “side phones” could he have already have known Caylee was dead and advised her on this? I still do not see GA as the helpless victim in all of this. I see him as very involved on so many levels. Like LE said “you know a lot about a lot of things.”

Something I left off that last musing was it was very interesting to me that the Anthonys got rid of their washer, dryer, and freezer and replaced them after Caylee was missing. WHO would even think of doing something like that when their grand child was missing and they were claiming at that time kidnapped.

I wonder if they can search until they find exactly what they're looking for..Like the disposal of the body, what she was doing with the shovel, etc?

I just read about a case recently where satellite imaging was used to determine the last known whereabouts of a woman that was missing. I remember being so impressed with it, but I can't remember which case it was or where I read about it.

As far as the script goes, IMHO the Anthonys did not get confused or mess up the script, they based the script on the date Casey gave them and then they all bounced off of that.  Casey told them she dropped Caylee off to "Zanny" at Sawgrass 6/9 Monday & she went to work.

It is my belief that Caylee was killed no later than the morning of June 16th, my suspicion has always been right there at the house.  I agree George did not see them the next day at lunch time leaving the house.   The fact that Casey was arm-in-arm with Tony at Blockbuster the evening of 6/16 approx 8PM to rent murder movies of all things, tells me that Casey was moving forward already to live "La Bella Vita."  To me, an example of just how cold hearted and calculated she is. 

Not sure about the freezer after the fact but what if she put her in there BEFORE the car because after a few days evidence would have dripped from the trunk onto the garage floor & the freezer if it was the opposite way around in the obvious condition it would have been in as well as the stain that was found in the trunk.   They luminol'd the house, I'm not sure if we saw that the garage was included but I would imagine it would have or should I say would be expected to have been. We know the Anthonys all took part in cleaning up after Casey, but as we all know very rarely does anyone manage to get rid of everything evidentiary, something is always left behind.   If there is nothing found, one has to also think that maybe it did not take place at the house, maybe returned to the yard but not inside.   There is much to ponder in this case.  There is a side door to the garage in addition to the 2 car wide garage door.  There is a lot to ponder about this case presently.   Maybe she rode around for a week or more because she felt "comfortable" doing so in frozen state, that is until she realized it didnt last as long as she thought it would have.  She noticed when she started having to make excuses for the smell in her car & then panicking deciding where but close to get rid of her "big trouble comes in small packages" then abandoning her car.   If the car was having problems as she told others, why didnt she call a mechanic or get it towed?  Why did she refuse Tony's assistance on 6/27 giving the excuse her father would take care of it the next day when the car was towed 3 days later from Amscot?  Why did her cell pings indicate that she was at the Amscot location on more than one occasion?

I'm so sorry sweet Caylee to have to speak of you in such graphic detail, blessed be as horrid as it is I trust the truth will prevail & justice will be served in your name  ::MonkeyAngel::

Another thing that's always bothered me is the day Casey wouldn't let George into the trunk. Was Caylee there, and if she was, why wasn't there any kind of odor?

You'd also think that the decomp. odor from the car would penetrate into Casey's clothes, hair, skin and pores.
How could no one smell this on her?

I once rode in my friend's car in the FL. summer and something stunk in the car. We couldn't find it and it was getting us sick. I felt like it was all over me, so we switched cars, got to the beach and jumped in the water.  She calls the next day to say it was a tiny piece of onion from a fast food burger that she eventually found in the back seat, and had to take the car to be detailed.  We laughed about it for weeks, so I can only imagine the intensity of the odor of decomposition, and find it crazy that Casey didn't smell from it and that no one else smelled anything odd on her, assuming that she wouldn't let anyone into her car.

I have read about a number of situations where they have been able to pinpoint within minutes the person and what they were doing. It is rather scary if you think about how anyone of us could be watched at any given time.

I read where the images are available for years, so it is not like they are lost, just how much money would a DA need to spend to get the snapshots. I think I read where it is not that expensive if it is within 120 days but after that it starts getting pricey. The discovery of the body would be pressing the envelope time wise but would have been under that 120 days time line.

I read where they used the images to find a plane that had been missing over 2 years, so it may not be as pricey as one would think.

He did say she threw the cans out of the car cussing and closed the trunk I think. It could be the body was in the car at the time - she had come home - got it out of the freezer - he pulled up and he caught her with it. Then he used the "pretense" he wanted his tools. That family used "pretense" all the time not to offend her so I can see him saying that.

It could also be he DID smell it but ignored it. Remember there was that tale she told everyone about the squirrels she ran over and how GA would "take care of it" to her friends.

Correction - looking back over some of the documents, KC told Amy that GA ran over the squirrel. Then IIRC she told Lee that there were two squirrels run over.

Good points............I agree the baby was dead on the day of the 16th. What happened next we have yet to see. I believe she maybe tried to hide her in the back yard because of the cadaver dog hits and that tree being dug up. I don't know why that tree thing jumped out at me but it did.  I think I remember CA saying something about it during that interview with Greta. I will have to re-watch that again.

If she couldn't bury her and she needed to get out of that house before CA got home the day of the 16th, the freezer would be the perfect place. Dump a bunch of food put Caylee in garbage bags from the garage and put her on the bottom with the food on top of her. It was a large chest freezer IIRC, so that would be easy for a child that size. I am sure they had it locked if for no other reason but to keep Caylee from accidentally getting in it. Then hide the key so GA or CA could not get into it for a few days until she could move the body. Most likely they would not anyway but KC couldn't take that chance either. I would like to know if on the 16th she took bags of food to Tony's house as she did when he picked her up at Amscot.

Now, something that could have happened was she did leave her in the car too long at first, hence the decomp and then moved her to the freezer until she could get rid of the body. If that was the case what if GA found the body and did away with it? What if KC went back to get it and it was gone. Now that would really be a p*sser. LOL I do think she is the one who threw it away because of where it was, but who knows there were also those pavers there which matched the ones at their house too.

Now that I don't recall.

Replacing appliances would not be a priority if my grandchild was missing, but I am not the A's. It would be a huge red flag to LE if this happened considering the A's were under a microscope.  Even if they were not replaced, we know CA washed some of KC's clothing, but I have not seen anywhere in the docs where any of the appliances were tested for trace evidence.

Readers have called attention to new Casey and Caylee Anthony photos posted by CBS News on its “48 Hours Mystery” web site.

But there is no new licensing agreement, and some of those photos aired last fall on the CBS news magazine, a spokeswoman for “48 Hours Mystery” said today.

CBS News said it added a link to the photos when it put up a new Anthony story on its Crimesider blog.

George and Cindy Anthony received $20,000 through the licensing agreement (for photos and video) with CBS News last year. The parents of Casey Anthony appeared on two CBS News programs, “48 Hours Mystery” and “The Early Show.”

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Yes, thanks Karma and G Dd I agree.....I never believed Lee was the biodad and I don't believe GA is. I also don't beleive the touching/molesting stories either. I also believe tghe family had his DNA tested and he was not the father. IIRC this was of course very stressful for his family...understandably so. Kc and the A's are liars and I don't believe anything they say.

I think you are right and I'd like to add, how could people in such dire straits financially afford to replace these high ticket items, this was before the big payoffs. The only reason I can think of is they were connected to the death of there grandchild thereby making them both offensive and a source of potential evidence. Of course this means they knew but then we already suspected as much.

That's a great question. The washer and dryer I can see why they got rid of that, because of all the washing that was being done, but the freezer? I know some people thought that perhaps Casey put Caylee in the freezer, you have to wonder if that is what happened for them to get rid of it  ::MonkeyEek::

I wish we could find out if all three appliances were indeed replaced & exactly when.   If they were replaced within a pertinent timeframe, that is significant when added into the list of other known actions, imo.  As far as ready money to replace them goes, it seems that the only people who have money problems where the Anthonys are concerned do not share their surname.  The Anthonys always seem to come up with some moulah where their wants are concerned.

Is it possible the appliances were replaced because LE took the originals?  I have not seen any proof of this in the docs, but it would be an expination?

That's the problem, was he speculating that the Anthonys got rid of the appliances, or did they really get rid of them.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Lawyers representing Zenaida Gonzalez, who is suing Casey Anthony for defamation, want to question one of Casey’s inmate pen pals (read motion).

Robyn Adams, who is now serving a federal drug sentence at a prison in Tallahassee, told detectives investigating the murder case against Casey that the two exchanged dozens of letters and those letters were handed over to investigators.

In one of those letters, Casey wrote that she knows Zenaida Gonzalez, Caylee's alleged nanny, had nothing to do with her daughter's disappearance.

Well I'm speculating because I can't find the pictures, I do remember seeing them at one time though.
I am going to speculate again because it's quiet  here today.

Do you remember when on Friday July 4th C&D had concrete poured into their backyard ? Then after that Cindy wrote that My Space blog about Caylee being gone etc. on Monday 7th then the reply from Casey a couple of days later in the form of Diary of Days?
Could it be that Cindy found something in her freezer that needed to be buried like a small body part or stained clothes because in their simplest form those 2 messages can be read as,  "where is Caylee" and the reply "everybody lies everybody dies..." ::MonkeyCool::

Somewhere on my old computer I have the video of the different ones. I have pictures of when the garage was open and all the stuff lined up in it with the W/D on the left back wall next to the kitchen (I think) and then later when the garage was open with different W/D & different freezer.  I caught that immediately and asked either on here or another web site if anyone one else caught it and which many had noticed it too.

Lenny did say it but a lot of bloggers notice different ones being in the garage when the news teams were there all the time and the door was open a lot. 

Another thing I also remember reading somewhere was that they (Lee, I think) bought a new pool filter pump and sand which is very unusual as that is not replaced yearly. I brought it up at the time and someone here thought maybe that LE took the other one for evidence. I have still not read any documents about them having taken it as evidence yet.

New depositions are scheduled on Friday in the case against Casey Anthony.

Anthony's defense team is scheduled to depose five people. They include a neighbor who said Anthony borrowed a shovel from him the same week that investigators said they believe Caylee Anthony was killed.

Brian Burner said he also saw Anthony back her car into the family garage.

Authorities said they believe Anthony drove around with Caylee's body in the trunk before dumping the remains in the woods near the Anthony family's home.

Anthony is being held in the Orange County Jail on a first-degree murder charge in connection with Caylee's death.

Something I left off that last musing was it was very interesting to me that the Anthonys got rid of their washer, dryer, and freezer and replaced them after Caylee was missing. WHO would even think of doing something like that when their grand child was missing and they were claiming at that time kidnapped. bolded by me

But why didn't they replace the vaccum cleaner, too?  That would have more forensic evidence in it than the washer/dryer IMO.  I could George directing Cindy, in a detective sort of manner, telling her what the police are gonna look at for evidence and telling her to get rid of it or to use what cleaning fluids on it to clean it up.

It is very possible (and most likely IMO) they did get rid of the vacuums too. They would never be noticed like the W/D, freezer because they were in the house and not noticeable to the eye of the public like the others.

Car in garage -Garage door closed - put in back of van or car and dumped then come back with exact replicas of them. Or maybe not even exact ones. No one would know they replaced them because they did not have a housekkeeper. My housekeeper would know immediately if I replaced mine. (and would be very grateful too!!)

Brian Burner was also the one who KC borrowed the shovel from because they did his DNA to rule out any of his on the shovel.

I thought about that part of it as well...Big brother and all, but if they could use this technology in this and Haleigh's case, it would put and end to all the lies and bs. They could possibly solve any and every murder case. Pretty incredible.

Haha..when my 'tools' of housework break down and dh doesn't want to replace I ask him if it was his tools at work, would he replace them?  Of course he answers yes, so I get my new housework tools, but yeah, you're right.  Who really knows if they replaced them or not as we didn't see the 'old' ones.  With all the appliances having been replaced and the car cleaned AND with the excuse it was the pizza that smelled (even though there was a bag of garbage---uck--in the trunk, well, it looks like a guilty verdict to me.  But that just me. 

Padilla makes no mention of a freezer being replaced and says the washer and dryer "seemed as though they were different" when compared to television films. There is no mention of a freezer at all.

I can't think of one thing that Leonard has said that has been true.

Didn't the A's have a multitude of vacuum cleaners?
I know the ones that were in the house were taken into evidence, but who knows if those were new vacuums already or not.

As the for the garbage bag ties...If you shop in Publix sometimes the ties are red and sometimes they're yellow. It's not really a big mystery, Leonard.

New documents filed in Casey Anthony case

New documents were filed by prosecutors and the defense team in the first-degree murder case against Casey Anthony case Monday.

One item filed by prosecutors was in response to a defense request asking the judge to order the state to provide certain forensic information, including details about labs that performed tests on evidence.

In his response, Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton said certain items requested by Casey Anthony's defense team are not in the possession of the state or any of its agencies.

Ashton wrote that the state shouldn't be compelled to obtain additional information — known as discovery — that Casey Anthony's defense team can "easily" obtain on their own.

Ashton provided the court with a chart detailing items requested by Casey Anthony's defense. He indicated which items are not discoverable under Florida statute.

Meanwhile, defense attorney Jose Baez filed an amended deposition notice. Among the people scheduled to be questioned under oath by the defense team: a neighbor of the Anthony family and an Orange County Sheriff's Office employee.

It's good for us to keep going back over what we know...as time goes on and the little bits of info that are let out by LE, we can look back and put little pieces together like a puzzle.  I think you have a down-to-earth approach in your thinking.  And, I agree with you on the areas where you say there's more going on that we don't know yet.

I'm really honed in right now on George's training about dead bodies and yet he drove that car off the car lot and he WENT TO WORK...just can't get over that part.  To me it shows that George and Cindy KNEW right then...before Cindy found Casey...that Casey had done something to Caylee (maybe they didn't know it 100%, but they sure knew it 99%) IMO


 

I believe this should be evidence toward George and Cindy obstructing justice...the washer/dryer (evidence of decomp) and the same for the freezer (I kept saying the LE should go check out the freezer) WHY didn't LE check out the freezer?

Would love, love, love for LE to prove that KC and her car were at the site where Caylee was dumped like trash!

Casey talked about it in her letters to Robyn.

The cover picture is interesting.  The story involves a sensational trial, an attorney named "Unwin" (yep, un-win), a very special baby(bear) who is born and disappears and is presented as an otherworldly saint, and a defendant(a teddy bear; mother of the baby) who is charged with thousands of crimes and roundly (and wrongly) despised by the multitudes.

I haven't read it.  Would love to hear from anyone who has.

It is possible they did and we just don't know anything about it yet. It could be when those were taken out of the house LE had warrants for them and picked them right up and tested them. I sure am hoping that was the case. I know they tested the house with luminol but I don't remember reading where they did the garage. I remember they took a rug out of the house.

I kept wanting them to take all those coolers that were on the shelves in the garage too, but I don't remember them doing that. It would seem to me ANYTHING which could "store" are small child's body would be suspect in a murder investigation.

What’s new in the Casey Anthony saga?

First, the civil case: Zenaida Gonzalez’s lawyers want to talk to Robyn Adams, Anthony’s former pen pal in the Orange County Jail, WFTV-Channel 9 reported. Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation for linking her to Caylee Anthony’s disappearance.

WFTV anchor Bob Opsahl noted that Anthony wrote in one letter that “she knows Zenaida Gonzalez, Caylee’s alleged nanny, had nothing to do with her daughter’s disappearance.” Adams, a convicted drug dealer, is in federal prison.

In the Anthony murder case, the state responded today to  a defense request for documents. “The defense wants resumes for sheriff’s investigators whom it  calls experts, but prosecutors say they are not considered experts under the law,” Opsahl said.

WESH-Channel 2 anchor Martha Sugalski said that on Friday the Anthony defense team is scheduled to depose five people, including a neighbor from whom Anthony borrowed a shovel.

I'm hoping that much was examined which we still are unaware of--never have I ever seen such an array of storage compartments in a garage before--it was mind-numbing to me.  An absolute fetish of sorts, imo.

Has pretty good reviews but not my type of story.

Evening, all!  Catching up and wanted to say thanks for bringing forward the recent doc dump highlights, if you will.  While I realize it's a necessary formality, it bothers me that Caylee's thread is listed as Caylee Anthony (BODY FOUND).  Each time I see that I think, "Is that all she's reduced to...a body found?".  How incredibly sad.  However, maybe that's a good thing in that those of us who have "gotten to know her", she matters and that's why we're here day after day, night after night.  She matters to us, even though she doesn't to the Anthonys.  Any of them who say differently are lying and we all know it.  If I lived in FL, I'd make every effort to be in that courtroom, with a Caylee t-shirt, sitting firmly entrenched on her side (one of the few times I've ever wished to live in FL  ::MonkeyEek::). It's my hope and will be my prayer that Linda Drane Burdick goes to great lengths to humanize Caylee, to paint Caylee on the hearts and minds of jurors like a master artist.  Caylee deserves that and so much more. She deserves to be more than Exhibit A/B/C/D.  She deserves more than the prerequisite (And passing) mention she got at her memorial. She was so much more than a few germane sentences, written perfunctorily it seemed, devoid of Caylee's personality and warmth, and falling emotionally flat.  I think I could better eulogize that toddler, in all her precociousness, than her "family" did.  Children that age are so delightful, full of all the newfound wonders in the world around them, delighting in their new abilities (like hopping on one foot), proud of their accomplishments ("Watch me, _______[insert favored person's name]), and their rapidly expanding verbal skills.  Of course, they're sometimes equally strong-willed, in need of some instruction/correction/discipline too.  ::MonkeyTongue::  But what a package they are!  Each as different as the day is long.

IMO, that was part of the problem for Caylee.  She was never allowed to be an individual...not even her name.  As most of you have already said, she was a prop in the Perfect Family Fantasy, directed and produced by Anthony family Productions.  Their whole lives have been nothing but drama per their own statements.  With all that was going on in her young life (regularly being drug from pillar to post, no comforting set schedule for bedtimes/naps/baths, little to no fun playdates with children her age, witnessing her mother and her grandparents yelling and screaming at each other-scary at any age, and knowing intuitively that it had something to do with her), I am 100% Caylee acted out some.  What child wouldn't?  Yet, even in that, Cindy could not allow Caylee to be herself.  At the memorial, she exaggerated how "perfect" Caylee was. What is so wrong with Cindy that she cannot allow anyone to exist (and dare I say, thrive?) apart from her?  I don't say this to be funny or nasty.  Cindy desperately needs to get herself to a therapist (yesterday) because there is really something wrong with her.  In healthy relationships, parents exult in their children's blossoming independence (yes, even while somewhat mourning  :smt056).  Good parents carefully plant and cultivate those seeds and nurture their children into full-grown adults. It's like Caylee was merely an extension of Casey (or Cindy per her My Caylee Is Missing).
IMO, when Lee and Casey came along, George found himself the odd man out and began looking elsewhere.  Judging by the behaviors we've seen, Cindy most likely made her children her world.  Logic would dictate that he, like many other men in similar situations, began engaging in "risky" behavior (like gambling, affairs, etc.)-perhaps to gain attention.  After all, some attention is better than no attention.  Perhaps to self-medicate, who knows?  To hear different family members tell it, the marriage was on the brink of divorce (and Cindy losing half her assets and possibly paying George alimony), when George moved back in and they reconciled.  Then along comes Caylee and Cindy is again consumed with a child.  Except now, she is directing Casey's life, as well as Caylee's (Lee was smart enough to move out). Hence, George briefly moving out after Caylee's birth.  Not implying that George didn't love Caylee here.  Just saying husbands don't take too kindly to being displaced by their children or grandchildren.  Cindy, for whatever reason, assumes ownership of Caylee.  Is it no wonder there was constant tension, strife, striving, competition, and confrontations within the family?

Finally, IMO, Lee is in a unique position.  On one hand, he's fairly loyal to his mother (he's defended her on more than one occasion and was careful not to damage her too much in his ZG depo).  We've never really seen or heard him come out with equal support for George though.  Perhaps he views George as ineffective?  On the other hand, he is clearly Casey's confidante, "partner-in-crime" in deceiving the parents over the years in various escapades.  Lee is what's commonly known as the Family Secret-Keeper. Like George, he knows a lot about a lot of things.  Lee's the go-to guy, the rescuer, the peace-maker.  The best thing Lee could do for his family is to turn down the role of Supporting Actor because the secrets he's keeping aren't worth the price.  All MOO

I did not have a stroke on the 13th, I'd like to know where you got that.

I felt my daughter hadn't been working for the past 2 years. I felt that.

I caught my daughter, I know she's been taking gas, using it. On the side of
her car I could see spill marks.

There have been thefts in our neighborhood, people have had stuff happen to gas. I 
called Orange County figured I would make some kind of a report.

I know she sends emails to herself on our home computer.

New documents that were filed in the first-degree murder case against Casey Anthony were made public today.

One item deals with a hearing scheduling conflict with Mark NeJame, the attorney representing Texas EquuSearch.

Earlier, Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry set a hearing for June 1 to hear arguments on the defense's requests to seal jail-visitation logs and to have Perry reconsidered earlier rulings by the initial judge on the case.

One of those items to be discussed involves documents belonging to EquuSearch, the group that helped organize large volunteer searches for Casey Anthony's daughter Caylee, before the toddler's remains were found.

NeJame stated that Casey Anthony's defense team scheduled the hearing without coordinating with him, and he had a pre-planned family holiday that day.

NeJame stated his office is coordinating a new hearing date with Casey Anthony's defense, and that he was filing the conflict notice simply to assure his portion of the hearing be cancelled and rescheduled.

Also made public today is a filing from the Justice Administrative Commission, the state entity responsible for paying defense costs.

The JAC was responding to Casey Anthony's request to transcribe eight depositions. The JAC stated it does not object to regular paid rates, which are already established.

The latest additions to the Casey Anthony case file follow several from Monday.
One item filed by prosecutors was in response to a defense request asking the judge to order the state to provide certain forensic information, including details about labs that performed tests on evidence.

In his response, Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton said certain items requested by Casey Anthony's defense team are not in the possession of the state or any of its agencies.

Ashton wrote that the state shouldn't be compelled to obtain additional information — known as discovery — that Casey Anthony's defense team can "easily" obtain on their own.

Ashton provided the court with a chart detailing items requested by Casey Anthony's defense. He indicated which items are not discoverable under Florida statute.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Prosecutors in the Casey Anthony murder case told a judge on Monday that they do not have information being sought by her defense team.

Anthony's attorneys want the state to turn over forensic documents, including tests performed on evidence.

Meanwhile, Jose Baez, one of Anthony's attorneys, filed an updated list of witnesses to be questioned in the case, including a neighbor of the Anthony family and an Orange County Sheriff's Office employee.

Anthony, 24, is jailed on first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were found in a wooded area in December 2008. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty, and her trial is scheduled to begin in May 2011.

Casey's cell phone pings and the activity on the Anthony's desktop computer put Casey in the Anthony house  on June 16th. Casey was on her cell phone talking to Tony most of the night of June 15 and into the early morning of June 16 (until 3 a.m). Casey was up bright and early on June 16 checking for messages and calling Tony. She was also on the computer instant messaging. Later in the morning Casey uploaded a picture of Fusian to photobucket. To get to the Anthony family's shared desktop computer (onto which the Fusian picture was uploaded) Casey had to leave her bedroom.

In the state depositions the prosecutors were VERY interested in the location of the shared family computer. It shows that Casey was in the house that morning and was comfortable enough to be out where George might be but WHERE was Caylee?

Yes, coming from a news outlet most definitely.   This is a murder case not the Superbowl or something similar to what you find from fans supporting their favorite American Idol....geez.   This case is about Caylee Marie being murdered not what the defendant and her team of attorneys are doing as if it were a game.

Then again, if certain individuals want to reduce this to teams then I say   ::MonkeyCheer3::TEAM CAYLEE will prevail & justice will be served  ::MonkeyAngel::

I find it appalling but there has been nothing which concerned this MURDER which hasn't been either so why should we expect that Caylee haven any respect from these leeches?

Prosecutors said Tuesday that Casey Anthony's defense team is not entitled to certain forensic evidence from out-of-state experts.

Also Tuesday, attorneys for Texas Equusearch said they were not notified prior to a June 1 hearing being scheduled. They're asking the date for any issue involving them to be rescheduled.

Meanwhile, in response to the defense team's request for eight witness transcripts, the state justice administrative commission said they will only pay for transcripts necessary for the defense of the case.

Judge Belvin Perry has yet to rule on this issue.

Anthony is being held at the Orange County Jail on no bond. She is charged with murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Caylee's remains were found in a wooded area off Suburban Drive near the Anthony family home in December 2008.
Anthony maintains a nanny by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez kidnapped Caylee.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that Casey Anthony's defense team is not entitled to certain forensic evidence from out-of-state experts.

Officials with the state attorney's office said information such as FBI records are out of their jurisdiction.

In a new motion, Anthony's defense team complained that state attorney Jeff Ashton did not provide sufficient details about the five aggravating factors leading them to seek the death penalty against Anthony. Ashton said nothing about the defense demands in a written response.

Defense attorney Richard Hornsby said they're not legally required to provide those details.

"It really boils down to the defense wants to get to the state's theory. They want to understand why and what it is the state will rely upon and try to prove at trial in showing this premeditation," Hornsby said.

Hornsby agreed with the argument Ashton made in court that this is protected work product the state is not required to reveal. He said the defense is also seeking evidence that is out of the prosecution's jurisdiction, meaning the defense will have to get it themselves.
One example is the so-called experimental research upon which the Oak Ridge Laboratory in Tennessee tested the air in Anthony's car.

Anthony's defense attorneys asked the lab to reveal to them the hundreds of compounds they used to come to the conclusion that the air did show signs of decomposition.

"If Oak Ridge Laboratories refuses to comply, I think the defense is well within their right to ask this evidence be excluded from trial because they can't confront it (and) can't challenge it," Hornsby said.

But Hornsby said the defense will have to take it upon themselves to subpoena that information just as they did with the records from Texas EquuSearch.

Attorneys for Texas EquuSearch also said they were not notified prior to a June 1 hearing being planned. They asked that the date be rescheduled for any issue involving them.

They are not refusing to comply per se, they just are not going to provide it until they are good & ready.  I disagree w/ Hornsby that it will be excluded because they will get it just in the nic of time for them to do their own homework & challenge it.   They basically know what the evidence is already (posturing again) they should have their experts lined up already to speak on this issue.   After much ado about nothing, newest of technology not tested blah blah blah, it is my belief that CJBP will allow it into evidence for trial which will have this case set a precedent.

Thanks, Ono!  This case has really been bothering me more lately, having spent the better part of the day last week playing with a friend's three-year old.  Watching the antics, noting how much this child has grown over the last three years and just bloomed into his own little person, looking into those beautiful dancing eyes, listening to his important stories, and getting that freely-given sweet goodbye hug...*sigh*.  It seemed like everywhere I went last week, there were 2 and 3 year-olds, doing 2 and 3 year-old things.  To think that Casey Anthony just wiped one off the face of the earth and Cindy and George were o.k. with that (as evidenced by their choice to fully support her, lie, tamper with evidence, etc.)...It is beyond my comprehension.  How hard their hearts must be, all three.  As I said, I pray Linda Drane Burdick makes Caylee "come alive" in that courtroom to every single juror and bystander.  Caylee deserves nothing less.  I am a firm believer in the DP and would have no problem voting so.  You take a person's life with just cause (i.e. self-defense) and you forfeit your own.  It's called justice. God says so in Deuteronomy and Jesus did not rescue the thief from the cross, although he could have. Just my 2 cents worth.
