I think Casey did probably use the term nanny back in 2007 too. Her way of letting people know, I have a Nanny. (just for show). Jessie said never heard of Z, just nanny.

Are you sure he didn't say Zany? I think he did. Though, he did mention a previous nanny, Lauren. So the term "nanny" must have been in their vocabualry (I have some family who uses that term instead of "sitter, or such" because they want to see classy... Anyway, I think he did say he had heard Zany...which really makes me wonder. UGH.

Do ya think Jesse was just too nice a guy for Casey?  You know, the nice guy that always finishes last.  Casey apparently craved a party life and Jesse is just not that kind of person.  I wonder if Casey became engaged to him because he offered security, and she had a baby, after all.  Perhaps she used him for a while until she decided she really didn't want to settle down just yet.

They way I understood Jesse/Casey was that she was pregnant, that they thought he was the baby, that they got engaged and moved in together.  Jesse's family thought he was the baby's father.  They all got very close to Casey.  After the baby was born, Jesse got a paternity test which showed Jesse was not the father.  Then Casey broke up with him.
Would like to know more abou that...

I wonder what happened that made Jesse get a paternity test.  Generally, with a young couple living together and engaged, it's not an issue unless the guy has a reason to believe he might not be the father.

I think Cindy is grasping at any straw she can find.  Yes, Jesse seems like the kind of guy any mother would want her daughter to marry, but remember we don't know that much about him.  However, he does seem upstanding and a nice young man.  I am just suspicious of all of them in the Anthony circle, though.

Do recheck.  There was some confusion when he said that and Geraldo was talking over him at the same time, so I'm not really clear if he verified Zanny or just Nanny.

This is an interesting question. Maybe she told him he might not be it. Or, possibly he was hoping he wasn't (he said he wasn't ready to be a parent. This happened to someone close to me. The b/f knew my friend wasn't the type to sleep around, but he was scared (young) and wanted a paternity test.)

Also, though....he mentions that adoption wasn't an option for Casey. Hummm. I don't get that one. Didn't we hear otherwise? Also, Cindy calling herself Mommy is APALLING and very dysfunctional..to say the least!

Just to add it makes it harder for them to manipulate you when you start to question them.  It kind of blows the scam and it's not worth their troubles.

I thought i heard him say zanny to.. The mind does play tricks on us sonetimes and zanny and nanny sound real close..Maybe casey said nanny and he thought now after everything she may have said zanny..Do to most people using the terms sitter or babysitter...JMO

Yes, I'd like to know that, too.  Jesse said that even though he wasn't the bio father, he still wanted to step up and be a father to Caylee.  It would be real interesting to hear why Casey broke it off.

One thing that can be concluded after Jesse's interview.  Casey never wanted to put the baby up for adoption.  I had posted that a while back and had to duck !!

I thought he looked nervous too.  I thought it was interesting they had been dating "again" this past Nov.(2007).  I wonder who broke up then?  Just listening to him, I would think he might be talked into lying or covering for her if she asked him to.  I'm not sure he'd help her bury a body.

He also said he wasn't ready for a baby and also wanted her to have an abortion when he thought he was the father.  I wonder if it was his parents that pushed for the paternity test.
