Prayers for all monkeys in need and hope you are all doing well and get better.

Going to put sir poopy pants in bed, hopefully his vet will be in tomorrow afternoon so we can get him set up on steroids. He is doing poorly. 

 

Prayers for Jo, you, and CC.  Do you think we can put the economy on steroids?

  Wish we could put the economy on steroids, we would all be rich and everyone would have jobs.

Who is the economic doctor on call?

My brother says there are lots of jobs out there, it's just that there is a miss-match between the jobs and the people.  Who knows what the problem is?  His own daughter, after 4 years of college, cannot find a job in her field, but found one making good money as a waitress.  She took a year off to work in her field before going back for her Masters and found no jobs available in her chosen profession.

CC, I cannot imagine, after talking to you online and meeting the real you, my friend, and love of JSM's life, that anyone who interviews you for a minute wouldn't hire you on the spot.

    Doctor said I have a slipped disc in my neck, that is why my hand is going numb. Now he wants me to take Prednisone for three weeks I hate that stuff, it makes me jittery, can't sleep and I swear I will gain 40 pounds.    I'm not taking it.  

Oh, no, this will never do.

You guys were right.  I met someone online.  I am going cautiously with this one.  Everything seems to add up, but I don't know yet.

Here's the thing.  My best friend said, if he was a nice guy, he wouldn't be single, someone would have married him already.

 

  Friend is wrong. Maybe he hasn't met the nice girl and has been waiting until NOW that he has found the nicest girl in the world. That would be YOU Bearly

Thanks, JSM.  She did put quite a fright into me.  I was married once, and annulled pretty quickly to/from 'the boy next door', so that probably goes both ways (what TBM said).  Men can be pigs, too.  He was a mean man. 

I just read something that says starting a family is a very frightening thing, because the more it means to you, the more you have to lose.  When you think about it, that is so true.  I know you know what I mean. I would love to talk to you about it.

He is a widower, same as my ex, and that means, if the relationship does not work out, losing not only him, but his son, too.  I lost two sons in that marriage, and the loves of my life.  It may sound odd, but I don't know if I am willing to open myself up to that again.  They were never treated as anything but my sons, never used the word step.  It tore all of us apart.  Maybe that is what has been tearing up my stomach all week.  I feel like such a baby.

Hey Can, no steroids aren't doing anything but making me cry and so hungry I could eat a mountain gorilla in one sitting.

Hey CC.  If I meet a man that comes near to you, I will consider myself a lucky woman.  I won't marry him if you guys can't be there.

Bearly, if this is the right guy and you marry him, you bet we will be there at the wedding!!!!  So glad you found someone, prayers that he is perfect because you are one PERFECT monkey 

No one is perfect, not him or I.  That would be a lot to try to live up to every day.  Makes my IBD go into overdrive when I try.  I feel for Jo, JSM, maybe he needs some Xanax.  Speaking of that, I miss NRCG.

To me you are perfectly sweet and kind and you deserve likewise. I miss No Rose too. Wish there was something to help your IBD, Josef's is really acting up so looking to putting him on the dreaded steroids.

That is sad about your niece, having a Masters and not being able to use it, but at least she makes good money being a waitress.

Bearly I know it is frightening and yes men are pigs, but if this guy is special to you take it slow and don't let it worry you. I understand your concern about losing the relationship with his son if something were to happen. Try to look at the positive side and know you are who you are now and not let the past hinder the present. I know it is easier said than done. Don't feel like a baby, we all get frightened. Know we monkeys are here for you and truly adore you and if this is the man for you, I will be at the wedding!!!!

Hope all is well with you . . . went to the doctor yesterday and am really sick . . . like I didn't know that already, but got some medicines and hopefully things will be better soon.
Zoo, you have been given some sound advice and I hope you let it seep into your spirit.  I had just posted a few days ago about fear in the Inspirational Thread . . . I don't know how to bring it over, but it starts like this:

At some point in our lives, all of us face fear.  Some face it constantly.  Many people cope daily with internal problems that are capable of destroying them.  They cannot visualize their problems or understand them, but their problems seem to have them zeroed in.
What are fears in the dark in your life?  Things that go bump in the night and cause us to lose sleep, things that we perceive have the potential to destroy us.  That’s what fear is . . . something that we perceive has the potential to destroy us.  Whether the fears are real or figments of our imagination is beside the point.  If we perceive them to be real, then for us perception is reality.

No, she doesn't have her Masters yet.  She is taking one year off to work in the medical field and then return to get her Masters.  She cannot find the job in her medical field she needs.
