A 49-year-old Satsuma man was killed Friday evening when he drove his Chevrolet sedan into the path of a Ford pickup truck on U.S. 17 just north of San Mateo.

Bennie Lee Wester Jr. had pulled out of the Cheyenne Saloon on S. U.S. 17 about 7:40 p.m. and was crossing the intersection of Florida 15 and Kane Road when his car was struck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The pickup's 38-year-old driver, Spencer Glynn Jones of Hastings, couldn't stop in time and hit Wester's car, causing it to roll over several times before coming to a stop in a ditch.

Wester wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected out the right front window to land in a ditch north of Kane Road. No charges were filed against the pickup driver, who was wearing a seat belt and escaped with minor injuries.

More is being learned about the alleged road rage incident involving the father of missing Satsuma girl HaLeigh Cummings, his ex-wife Misty Croslin Cummings and a man identified as Charles Jones with the release of the 911 audio from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

The first audio recording is Misty Croslin Cummings making the first call claiming Charles Jones is trying to run her and Ronald off the road. Misty declines to give her name and informs the dispatcher that there are two children in Ronald's vehicle.

The second call is from Charles Jones. He tells PSCO a very different story and claims Ronald Cummings has a gun.

You will also hear in this audio Jones asking the dispatcher if he could legally shoot Ronald if conditions warranted it.

Jerome was originally arrested by PC.  As I understand it or what was reported by Art Harris, TJ Hart and Cobra, Jerome was moved to St. Johns for his safety. 

I believe the reason he was back in Putnam was for his court date.

TJ Hart and Levi Page mentioned yesterday that LE was working on a warrant for Charles Jones arrest.  I am not sure if the warrant was for Daddy or son.

But then we saw that RC had a friend (Mr. Orlando Traylor).

So whose to say if there is a connection between RC & JW, or if they are drug dealing rivals.
