Northern Rose    I'm going to walk Zoe, it is supposed to be so very, very hot today, so short walk it is.

Be careful in the heat.  We are heading for 29 (84F) today and I already have the airconditioner on.  I don't do well with temps over 73F.  This is usually the weekend we drain the pool and get it ready for the winter.  Not this year!  OMG I MAY get a vine ripe tomato as one was starting to blush.

Women appeared to like such tools and so many obliged to remove their bras once subdued by one or a combination, however the clever females decided to step up the man-proofing and added a clasp.

WASHINGTON - President Richard Nixon was so preoccupied with the Kennedy family and the possibility of another defeat handed to him by another Kennedy -- Ted -- that he ordered aides to recruit Secret Service agents to spill secrets on the senator's behavior.

The president tried to catch Kennedy cheating on his wife, while at the same time finding the couple to be "crude" in their "super-swingin' jet-set" lifestyle.

In a series of stark Oval Office conversations about Kennedy before the 1972 election, Nixon spoke with aides John Erhlichman, H.R. Haldeman and Ron Ziegler.

Nixon wanted to find a way to keep an eye on Kennedy.

"Do you have anybody in the Secret Service that you can get to?" he asked. "Yeah, yeah," Ehrlichman replied.

"Plant one," Nixon said. "Plant two guys on him. This could be very useful."

Nixon made clear that the Secret Service protection afforded Kennedy before the 1972 election would be rescinded after. Then, said the president, "If he gets shot, it's too damn bad."

Do dogs get fur balls? Zoe was licking and biting her leg, no she doesn't have fleas, but the heat is so bad here  she is scratching, and vomited a little of her food. I know the meds she is on makes her stomach upset, one of the side effects, and with irritable bowel and this heat, not a good combination. She is scheduled for another bath a week from Sat. I'm going nuts here again 

Sounds like she has a hot spot No Rose. Dogs get it from the heat. I hope she gets better. When Joe chews like that sometimes he gags, but never has had a furball like a cat.

Thanks, I called the vet, she told me no more food today, no meds until Monday, and if she is still having an upset stomach she wants to see her Monday. You try to do what is right, and ever since I started adding food, which I stopped, her stomach hasn't been right. I hope if the meds are causing this, which that is one of the side effects, there is another med to give her. It has been over 100 degrees now for days, and that isn't helping matters, just a short walk is horrific. Funny thing is I'm not feeling good to my stomach again, maybe we both have somekind of illness together

Poor Zoe and Poor No Rose. I hope it is the meds that are causing her tummy ache or it could be the change in diet. I know it is hard not to worry and I'm sure the heat isn't helping her either.

U.S. lawmakers, already aboil since al-Megrahi returned home, were set off when Muammar al-Qaddafi announced his intention to pitch a sprawling tent at a home in New Jersey owned by the Libyan embassy. Qaddafi will be visiting New York in September to address the United Nations General Assembly.

N.Y. Rep. Peter King, the top Republican on the Homeland Security Committee, said the decision to let Qaddafi stay in New Jersey was an "absolute disgrace," and called the release of the Pan Am bomber "shameful."

"This whole deal with the British stinks," King told FOX News. "Obviously, to me (the British are) looking for oil, and as a result of that to allow such a known terrorist, a convicted terrorist out of jail, absolutely shameful."
