I just want to ask this:  If you were CA and Casey would not talk, what as a mother or father would you really do?  Would you throw her out?  Choke the heck out of her?  Seriously, for all the protective mothers, what would you really do....not what you would want to do, Big difference!  Just a hypothetical question....I know, I know none of kids would ever end up like Casey but if

Okay, Okay........even my husband has says I have softened a little.

But just recently, someone came to my house and told me that my 12 yr old son, who has history of not telling the truth (He hasn't had it easy - bio mom was real crazy - we've had him in counseling....blah, blah, blah) called another child the "n" word at sports camp.

A word that is never used in our house, a word that my husband and I find disgusting.  We calmly sat my son down and discussed it with him.  With tears in his eyes, swearing to God, he told us that he would never have used that word. We believed him because we know he isn't being raised that way.  We have black friends, Muslim friends - etc.

The next morning, my husband and I went to the camp to discuss it with the coach.  He said - no way, he wouldn't say that but I'll talk to the other kids and call you.  Now my son knew we were going there and continued to swear up and down he never has used that word.  Well the coach called and confirmed that he did indeed say that.  We couldn't believe it. I was shocked.  I guess - maybe - we were in denial.

This was talked about at a little league game and my neighbor/friend actually had to defend me and my husband about us not being racist.

I know there is a big difference - but I still wanted to believe my son.  Fortunately, we had a way of finding out the truth.  Had we not, I would still believe that he wouldn't have used that word.

IMO, CA can not believe her child could kill her own baby. She will not believe it until they find the child's body.  It is hard to believe your own child could do something that disgusting.

Sorry for the long post, but I am trying to find some understanding in this whole nightmare.

          I would just pray...

I would stay in the room with her until she told me. And I would ground her to the room, since it is my house. I would call outside help if that did not work. Help in the mental field. Help from her friends, if she had any left.

Heaven help me if this was my child.  OUt of four children, not one of them could withhold the truth from me.  I know, you are thinking, yeah, sure, but I feel that is true.  My kids could not tell a lie when they were young to save their skinny butts.  They always broke down.  I think Casey is missing some fundamental, very vital, human emotions.  She is not the "norm".  Lack of morals, compassion, empahty, conscious.  The ME syndrome.  Something not right.

Yes, I think I would actually go over every  little detail with her and call her on all the lies and show her how rediculous the whole story sounded and make her tell me the truth no matter how gross or bad it was...If you are telling the truth you only  have one story and lies have many stories sprouting out of them....If talkind didnt help and reasoning didnt help well then I guess casey would be the next one calling 911.........

That's what it looks like to me too.  The poor boy was half in half out of the vehicle and the door slammed him when shirtless dude pushed momma up against the door.

I agree with you Rob...the only way the mother could have gotten to her son is to fight off the guy holding her against the SUV, which caused the injury in the first place..I only got disgusted at the girl who half heartedly picked him up by his hurt arm, then dropped him.
Also, as I said earlier...this would never have happened if CA didn't cross the street and go after the SUV in the first place..

as a footnote...I hope someone counsels that boy on the comment he made..10 yr olds shouldn't harbor hate and the adults around him should speak with more control around the youngsters

I agree with you, both of these mothers need a bar of soap for dinner and I fear that the two children are going to have some real issues as they grow older witnessing and learning from the adults in their lives. I also didn't realize that the guy who caused this boys arm to get injured was actually part of their group. I can't believe the lack of attention from his mother after being hurt and as I said, this child is going to have some real issues to deal with as he grows older.

People like this really give a bad name to what I believe is a valid protest, If I wasn't 1200 miles away, Id be there to.

I still say CA should have just walked away and ignored them...

I would talk to her and make her tell the truth to the police no matter what the consequences.  I would let her know that I will always love her no matter what, but would have to turn my back if she did not tell the truth no matter how hard it would be.

Nobody ever taught Casey that she had to pay for her misdeeds in life and so she kept on because there were never any consequence.
When i was 12 i threw a rock and broke someone's windshield. My parents made me pay for it.
When i was 18 i was in a place i wasn't suppose to be, doing something i shouldn't have been doing and i wound up in the hospital. My parents made me pay every penny of the hospital bill.  That was the last time i ever did anything that was gonna cost me a cent.  I also learned that it was a terrible feeling to bring shame upon my parents

Without getting deeply into explaination, I can relate to Cindy wanting to believe her daughter and being in denial. Difference is, my daughter told the truth, just not right away. And, it was not something nearly a horror as murder/death.

I think CA and GA are between a rock and hard place with this because I'm thinking that if they tried to get the information out of Casey that JB would just move her to a safe house.  Okay, that didn't really answer the question.  I don't know what I would do at this particular point in time considering all the damage that has been done by the parents to this case.  I don't think I would have gotten her out of jail that second time.  The whole family was safer when Casey was behind bars.

My -- none of us know for sure what happened.  It very well could have been an accident OR it could have been intentional.  BUT Casey needs to stop lying.  If she didn't have anything to hide, such as an accident, then why all the lies?  Accidents are forgiveable, but intentionally harming that child is inexcusable.  Children cannot defend themselves from predators including their own parents.

Yes My, I know what you mean.  However, Casey leaving for the day taking Caylee God knows where is an area of concern (thinking even prior to June 15). Something she is not telling her friends (as far as we know) or her family. One tends to think in terms of illegal or unsavory activities.

While I think the protesters keep this in the news and that is a very good thing I wish they would not act hateful, ugly, scream yell, destroy property etc.  all that is going to do is get everyone banned and might diminish the news from covering the case.  And that would be very sad.
Although the Anthony family manage to do something a little more bizarre everyday so that keeps the news on the block so to say.
Casey still believe she has been moved to a safe house, she hasn't been seen since Thursday coming home from the lawyers.  And several people swear they saw her leave in the middle of the night Friday morning.

I think it was an accident as far as Casey's belief.  I do think she used chloroform and Caylee died from an overdose.

Cindy is probably innocent (except for acting like a jerk).  Lee I'm not sure what to think about him.  George and Casey are guilty.... IMO

Cindy says, "lieing doesn't make you a murderer"  just like Scott Peterson's defense said "cheating doesn't make you a murderer".   What I do think is lieing when your daughter is missing makes you look like a MURDERER.  Innocent people do not have to LIE, and how does an innocent person have a decomposing body in her car!!!    ::MonkeyShocked::

Ok so maybe while she was napping something bad happened to Caylee. I think the chloroform was used to clean up the smell/DNA.  Not sure if she had help?  Could she have seen that in a movie?  Or maybe she used to give Caylee a little chloroform so she would nap too and accidently overdosed.  But why chloroform when Benadryl works too?  (Not speaking from experience).

I am also sure that Cindy let it be known she wanted custody of Caylee Cindy probably saying she was irresponsible blah blah and then when the accident happen she lost it...Maybe she is still in shock and that is why it appears like nothing she is unemotional to some..

I think Cindy was putting Casey down her entire life. She was never good enough. Could be why Casey never accomplished a lot. Such pressure. A family of twisted dynamics. (MY opinion)

You know you have a point there.  Casey was out partying to the wee hours most nighs (I think), and Caylee was probably sleeping at night.  Casey probably went back to the house after George left for work and fell asleep.  When she woke up she couldn't find Caylee and made the flurry of phone calls.  Than when she went out and discovered her in the pool she panicked. 

Very possible. And who would want to tell MissJudgemental Cindy who she felt would never forgive her.

This is a good point and I wish it was this simple...but what about the nanny story....A nanny that we all know didnt excist, she had been talking about this nanny for over a year according to everybody but she just didnt exist and thats where I cant seem to come up with a reason for that.

No, I do agree with most of the posters.  She is a very disturbed person.  She lies when she doesn't have to.  Her lies are very detailed.  She is very narcissitic.  Something is not right there.  But what do people expect Cindy to do?  She was threatening to take Caylee, you can't make a 18-22 year get counseling.  I am sure some tough live was needed but can be easier said then done.

Personally I wouldn't allow her to be bailed out of jail.  That's about all you could do though.  You really can't make someone talk or tell the truth that refuses.

I have not googled Chloroform, might do that tonight and see if it is a drug/activity of the 20 somethings. Has anyone checked it out?

not to get off subject...I live in florida too, and my daughter is 15 now but yesterday I was looking at some old photo's and when my daighter was 2-3 years old she looked almost identicle to little Caylee....gosh, Im glad she is older now or someone might be calling the police on me when they saw me with my daughter,,,,,

I would do what I would have done if they had been in high school skipping class.  I'd be in their face, down their throat and have them attached to my side (as I have threaten to go to school with them and embarrass them among their classmates) until they told me the truth.  My mom would put the 'fear of God' in us when she thought it was called for and only once in a blue moon did I ever do that to my kids, but in a situation such as this, I'd be putting the fear of God into them if they lost their own child.  We aren't talking about a cell-phone here that CA lost.  CA lost, got rid of her own child!! 

I would have let her get once, if she didn't talk, it would be over!

I recently saw a little girl that looked just like Caylee at a local amusement park, and had she not looked identical to her mother, I would have sworn it was her....they must get tons of calls with people claiming to have seen her!

well one thing that I have come to believe is that she didnt put her in that dumpster that the car was parked by..I think she put the car by the dumpster to hide the smell that might come from the car, that way when people passed by they would think it was the dumpster and not the car that the smell was coming from..

Le kept questioning her over and over again until she finally confessed.  But it took about a week or so, didn't it?

And speaking of cells phones, people that age who have a fancy phone and paid for their own phones guard it as if it was their right arm. They do not go losing it very often. Her lost phone, I think is either a lie, or if she had one she got rid of it on purposer. JMO

Overprotection (smothering) and expecting perfection hurts a person. Her way of loving. She means well, but in reality she is hurting her daughter. JMO

Putting myself in Casey's mind I would think it would be somewhere close to home, because her car was not reliable.  I don't think she is really that good a sneak so someplace not to complex.  I can't see her walking deep into the woods or anything like that, too difficult.  I think she put her someplace very familiar to her as quickly as possible so she could go into her dissosociation mode and forget this ever happened.   She is probably in a ditch (hate to say this) somewhere.

In all honstey, I have done all of the above with my son and he just won't come clean!!
We have even rewarded for the truth, but still won't admit that he lied!!  It is so frustrating. 

Most children I have seen like Casey (minus murderers), their mother wanted to be a friend, not a mother.  The mother also gave them anything they wanted, all they had to do is throw a tantrum (even as adults).  It's sad, but I've seen 3 people that grew up this way.

I also don't get why she needed to borrow a shovel if she can break into the shed to get gas can't she break in to get a shovel...Unless george only had one and the other person needed one

Children go through their phase of telling lies. Then they usually grow out of it. Casey didn't pass that phase.

That never did make much sense if you are hiding a body why give an obvious clue like borrowing a shovel.  But maybe that's how detached she is from reality.

See....now this is where I say her sole purpose for breaking into the shed on the 23rd was for the shovel to dig up and relocate Caylee....the gas cans were just a bonus, or stolen to create a motive.

She is suppose to be an avid reader, LE needs to know what books she has read.  Also, has anyone seen AMERICAN PSYCHO.  I haven't but would like to ask a few questions about thay movie.

The gas cans always puzzled me.  At first, I thought she used the shovel to break into the shed.  But would you report to LE $50.00 worth of gas missing especially when you know Casey has taken the gas before.

In the police documents the one of CA's myspace it said that she was wataching American Psycho.  Who knows about that movie??

I just think they were done with her BS just like Cindy calling about stealing the car...maybe the therapist Cindy was seeing told her to start calling LE to build a case against casey in order to get custody

Thank you for allowing me to come into the cage. There are several thoughts that I would like to share during my first post. We cannot apply so-called normal mothering actions in Cindy's position. Casey's mental state is abnormal. None of the conventional things would work. Pressure by Cindy, the mob in the yard or media will not make a difference 2 days from now or 10 yrs from now. IMHO they will need to start looking at it from an abnormal psych aspect in a serious way.  Recent research has even given a name to a I'll say condition in which a person feels like they fall deeply in love in just a very short period of time say 2-3 weeks like Casey did with Tony. By the way, did I misunderstand I thought the family( according to the bounty hunter guy or someone)  were not allowed to discuss the case with Casey while she was in the home. Did that change when she got out of jail the 2nd time? I was thinking pretty harshly about Cindy until I realized her strategy. She is trying to be a big support to Casey probably based on Casey's statements about her fears of her mom never being able to forgive her. This will not get her to talk and is bad advice and a waste of time. Cindy could google personality disorders and other issues and do better than that on her own for crying out loud. This case will be solved by someone coming forward who saw something or a search turning up something in all likelyhood. Unless they send her to prison for 50 years for bad checks.What do You monkeys think about this aspect of this. I surely hope it doesn't last as long as we have battled for Nat.

After going through a 2 year custody battle for my husbands kids, trust me, stealing gas would mean nothing.  My husband's ex married a convicted felon - out 30 of prison for 30 days - during the custody hearings.  No violent crime against a child, he did his time and he has fine was the findings in our lovely family court system.

Well, after 2 weeks of 'that,' I went to the 'next level.' I wanted Jesus Christ to appear and ask me if I'd give my life for her.......... I decided I would. My sons would have been VERY proud of me for the rest of their lives. Now I just wait for Him to show up...

I've wondered a lot about him too, he was a friend of her friend Lake Vag.   What if she was visiting him to party or something and Caylee fell down the stairs and passed away.  Maybe he did help her and than took off.   This whole thing is mind boggling and the insanity is contagious, will be seeing a shrink soon myself.   ::MonkeyConfused::

Although, I find you to be very selfless, I wouldn't want your children to be fatherless.  I pray to our Lord that Caylee will be found and it is his will - whe we will all know the truth.

To lay down your life for a friend or someone you have empathy for... noble and in the Bible...but there is cause and effect. Casey and those immediately around her have  chosen their path.

I have no children; not my decision. I, IMO, think it is so honorable and noble to be a parent even with all the ups and downs, so take pride in your sons and be there for them as they lead you to grandchildren.

Gil makes his way over to the place where Warrick is arrested. Warrick is illuminated by green light, and a prominent Las Vegas gangster by the name of Lou Gedda is lying dead in a pool of blood next to him. Gil questions him, but Warrick doesn't know what happened. Brass and Gil advise him to say nothing and get himself a lawyer. They escort him out to the cruiser, Warrick's head bent in shame. Willows (Marg Helgenberger) and Nick (George Eads) show up to the scene, and they are all informed that the day shift will be processing the scene, not them. The CSI team is not allowed to investigate, but Gil asks the day shift for the raw data from Warrick's case.

In interrogation, Warrick says he doesn't remember much, but he does remember that he hired Benny Harper to investigate Lou Gedda. The next thing he knew, he woke up in a pool of blood. He admits, however, that the evidence suggests that he was the one who whacked Gedda.

Willows pays a visit to Warrick to check on him and provide some support. The interrogation isn't over yet, though. The cop asks him about Holly, the CSI who died because of Warrick. The cop is trying to connect that case with Joanna's death and also with the current one by claiming that he has a pattern of reckless, obsessive behavior. Finally, Warrick asks for a lawyer.

Willows, Nick, Gil and the rest of the team do their own parallel investigation of the evidence. New evidence surfaces, showing that there was chloroform in Gedda's system. The human body can rid itself of chloroform very quickly so Gedda must have been killed very shortly after he was dosed. Warrick may also have been chloroformed, which would explain his short-term amnesia, but the tox screen comes back negative. However, Gil, ever thinking outside the box, analyzes the blood spatter on Warrick's shirt. He deduces that the person who shot Gedda might have done it while holding up an unconscious Warrick by the armpits. The CSI team get busy trying to prove that Warrick was framed.
