I found this on Rick's blog:

 Professor "L" says:
July 19, 2009 at 5:10 pm
During the Sheriff race last yr, all of the candidates, except Ronnie Mac, was informed that a car dealer in the Pensacola area was giving a green light when his load of use cars would arrive in one of those large Truck Car Hualers. Said used cars were being used to transport narcotics. Why is the DEA involved??? Was the motive for the hit for failure to pay for pass shipment???? Financing use car lots does not strick me as being that big of deal, money wise, to have someone bumped off, including his wife…Maybe Ricks sources is giving out false leads to throw off investigaters from investigating all of the big time drug dealers here in P-cola…just a thought????

Thank you Magnolia.  I think this is going to turn out to be bigger than what they want us to believe at this point.  I think there will be even more arrests.

Brewton residents shocked local man charged in notorious Florida slayings
Posted by Connie Baggett, Staff Reporter July 16, 2009 5:00 AM

Brewton native Donnie Ray Stallworth Jr., a 28-year-old Air Force staff sergeant accused of murder in last week's shooting deaths of Byrd and Melanie Billings, served in Iraq and Afghanistan as an aircraft mechanic, according to public information officers at Hurlburt Field, near Fort Walton Beach, where Stallworth was stationed.

Stallworth is one of eight people facing charges in the slayings.

Hurlburt Field is the headquarters of the Air Force Special Operations Command, an elite unit designed to handle, among other missions, unconventional warfare and counter-terrorism. Stallworth, however, did not serve in a ground combat role. He maintained gunships and received only the standard combat training given all servicemen in the Air Force, Hurlburt spokesmen said Wednesday.

The Stallworths separated when Donnie Ray Jr. was young, according to family friends. But many people in Brewton described both parents as wonderful people. Brenda Stallworth is a longtime worker at the county Department of Human Resources. Donnie Ray Stallworth Sr. runs a used car lot in Milton, Fla.
(snipped parts of the article.)

The highlighted area stood out for me.  There has to be some connection to all the used car lots and financing.  Then when it was said that used cars were being used to transfer narcotics?   where did i put my Hinky meter?

That stood out for me too AZ.  There sure are a lot of used car connections.

Let's face it, their is not much profit in used cars unless you are financing them. That is where the money is. All these people involved in "used" cars, and imported cars.

I am also curious if these money people have invested in a small freighter, a coastal runner that runs from the Carribean areas, upper South America to the US. Or maybe have interest in a stevedoring company or a shipping agent. P'cola is not a large port, but it is there. There are also port facilities in Panama City and other small coatal cities. Of course, Mobile is a bigger port, but there are also facilities in Gulfport, and Pascagoula Ms. Then there are the shrimp boats, all along the coast. Just some things to think about......

This was the only video I could find from Geraldo on the Billingses murders & it looks like it isn't the full version:

Like you said Fanny Mae, Too many unanswered questions.  This thing could lead in many different directions.  There had to be a lot more money involved in this & I think more people.

It was after this part. Sheriff Morgan spoke next. He was very polite and well spoken. Whorlado started grilling him pretty good, and said that the DEA being there meant more than a simple home invasion to him. The sheriff would say not more.

After they got through speaking, and started talking to his "panel" of talking heads, that's when the banner was put up and said "The inexperienced Shreriff had to call in for Federal help," loosly quoted. That is the part that got my dander up. He certainly didn't call the sheriff inexperienced to his face. I don't even know why people even bother to go on his show. Whoraldo makes an azz of himself all the time. Too bad he wasn't washed out to sea in Hurricane Ike. JMO

Monkey Devil! Monkey Devil! Monkey Devil!

That is the best all time Geraldo video!!!  (JMO)  I am not a fan of his at all!

Thanks for the recap of the interview about the Billings video.  I didn't see the show, so I appreciate the info.

Dear Friend, I disagree with you.  In many cases, there is a higher profit margin in used cars.  I have several friends who own used car lots, do not use in house financing, but use bank financing or finance companies, and they make a very, very good living.  New car sales have so many tiers and midddle, middle people -- that salespeople usually have a very limited bottom line.  Not so with used cars.  JMO

I agree with you about the used car dealers. I just think we are talking about people with a lot more money that buying and selling used cars. I don't think the DEA would be interested in used car dealers and car detailers in general.

I am more interested in the import businesses myself. I am almost crosseyed from tripping down memory lane today.

I meant to say also, that I am sure Byrd Billings was doing exceptionally well in the used car business, because he was also doing the financing to people who would otherwise not get credit. I would think the finance charges would be astronomical.

It is some of the other people I am more interested in.

ISLAND, I blew this pic up and hope I don't blow the thread up. Can you tell where this was taken. It looks like somewhere around Orange beach, Perdido Key, or maybe on Santa Rosa Island. I can see condo's or houses across the water in the background. Do you recognize it?

No Fanny~I don't recognize it, but I don't think it's Santa Rosa Island as P-Cola Beach is the most developed area on SRI and we don't have that much development here.....could be Gulf Shores or Destin, and I have never been to Perdido or Orange Beach. Sorry, wish I could help more

fanny~I just found this:

We went to the website of the Florida Secretary of State and reviewed the filings for Hondaland Used Cars, Inc. We found a resignation of Registered Agent by T. Harrison Duke that is copied to Wayne Peterson of Gulf Breeze and Henry Cabell Tice of Daphne, Ala. Read Hondaland. A fair assumption would be that Peterson and Tice were partners in the business. We could find no connection between Peterson and Billings.

I remember finding the info on hondaland, but never knew or already forgot that Tice was involved in Hondaland

That's what I was wondering too. I wouldn't have posted it here, but it was already on the web.
