Well it seems like I just missed everyone.

My friend is fine. Her & hubby decided to take a trip out to Calif. I was so relieved when her said told me. I had her in the hospital or worse. Don't know why I can't get through on her cell. Oh well.

Welcome OS.

NRCG  your project sounds fun.

Hope everyone has a good evening.
So glad to hear that, I would have done the same thing fearing the worse. I'm going to start painting tomorrow  LOL  Hope you have a good evening also, I have to run and water the plants.

My older daughter called and she and her husband went to an estate sale, they got there near the end, and you should see what they all got, sofa bed tables chairs, pots and pans towels curtains, etc all for ten dollars, I guess we taught her well how to get a bargain  LOL    Does anybody know of a website that you can go on to get info on a sailor. The military records of a World War II Navy Sea Bee, my husband asked me to ask on here. He wants to find out stuff about his dad, thanks.

NoRose do you know his Rank?  I ask because there is " sites" broken down within Ranks of those who served in the Navy. That is how I found much information on Corpsman who served. ( My Dad, in Korea) By searching sites created for Corpsman by Corpsman. Hope this helps. xo Me.

Machinist's Mate Third Class, USN-1, that is his rank.
That is key information right there. I wrote it down. Maybe I can chase something online for you.  Within his Rank.  You would be surprised what can be found " with Ranks" of those who serve. The are all brothers - Yet Band Together within their Rank online in sites .. to share and compare. Smile

evening all!

OS...good to see you again here! xxx

Northern...that pudding sounds yummy! you are such a cook I can't believe it! I still want you to adopt me so I can have your good cooking!! lol..

Brandi, meatloaf does sound good...
I ran across some old recipes when I was going through my cookbooks that I intend to make when we are all at the lake next week..easy crock pot stuff ...stick it in the crockpot in the morning and then it will be done by the time we get back from boating...at least that is the goal! I am all about  easy meals!

Does anyone know where I could go online to find out about some crystal glasses that I have that I want to sell? they are really old crystal that my MIL gave to us..We are not crystal users....sigh...not into china dishes either...so we want to sell them...any ideas?

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a good evening!

JSM: Hope you get home soon to spill the beans to us. We know there is a man involved with your Chicago visits, so talk to us, girl!

OS: Nice to see you here again, hope you stay longer this time around!

Deenie, I answered your post in my thread!

Be back in a bit, gotta finish making sinner. I actually baked a meatloaf today in this heat. LOL Our oven is quite new and very well insulated, doesn't seem to heat up the kitchen much at all when I use it. I like new appliances. Wink

BBIAB!

Hi Brandi,

so much going on hard to keep up.

HUGS,

What a crazy " weather day" ...... at 11 am my area was under a Severe Thunder Storm warning ..which turned into a Tornado Watch until 7PM. Then the Tornado Watch was canceled around 3:15pm - It rained hard here, nothing out of ordinary. Yet the humidity is so felt. My hair is bigger than the entire band of Kiss ..  Yes it is.

Since 4 pm its all been calm. Now its almost 9:30 and I just witnessed out my window these Hazes of color .. projecting itself vibrant " Peach tone soft red" ...  its gone now. Was though enough to grab my attention.  With the talk of Sailors and those who served the Navy - My Dad would recite this all the time.

That school is just frightful, imo, no kid should have to go to a school that looks like that, OMG.  I wish that I could help with the crystal and china, but I'm sure someone here would know about that.

How lovely. You sure did have a crazy weather day, I'm trying to picture your hair right now  LOL  My hair doesn't get affected by humidity but my body sure does hate it. Feel so clammy and sweating and lazy. Here in So Cal we should not get much humidity, but I'll tell you it does get worse here every year. And when it gets real dry, that is when my hair and skin suffer big time.

There has to be a place to go besides Ebay. I know when my mom was alive she had purchased some pieces of her china that needed to be replaced, but I have no idea where she bought it from.

I am not a big fan of Ebay, but a lot of people do use it a lot. I don't know how much of a hassle it would be to sell that on their cookie.

Yes, Cookie there is such a place. That you can sell your items. And I believe it's free for you to set up shop. Doesn't matter how many Items you have to sell - from what I gather.  Cookie go to www.esty.com
http://www.etsy.com
I have bought items from this site as well. I am extremely pleased with my purchases.  They allow sellers to chose " credit card or paypal " for selling.
I hope this helps you Smile

I am not sure about Ebay...only cause I am not sure what the crystal is worth so I have no idea how to price it..know what I mean? a friend of ours sold a bunch of stuff on Craig's list...I tried it once and got some weird emails so I deleted my account...I don't trust that Craig's list thing after the bad stuff that has happened from it...

Cookie go to Esty.com and search vintage glassware and or drinking glasses ..or use what ever you feel is correct key words " your glasses you wish to sell" and see what the going rate is .. There are thousands of sellers on this site - You will see once you start to poke around. I LOVE LOVE Esty.  For many reasons.
