Hi BabyBear!

Have to go make a meatloaf for dinner now.

BBL.

Brandi!  That looks like my nephew Curby!  I've got to grab that and send it to my brother.
That looks like the cupcake dog
He looks like our Ozzie, only Oz has totally blue eyes and more fuzzy fur. NRose, how's the bf situation? I say you just tell your daughter you hate him because he can't keep appointments. Viola! Next thing you know, she'll be announcing her engagement...and we can plan a wedding in right quick order! Then your dad will be happy, and she'll be "married off" as he says.
We are meeting them at 5 now at the Mexican place by the house, can't wait  She has said to me if I ever get married I will do it at the court house too save you guys money

I hope it all works out for you, No Rose.....wonder if she ever has worried that HE might not meet YOUR standards.  I know that's how I felt with hubs and my parents.  Of course, they love him to death.  My dad is no longer with us,  but he thought the world of him.  And my mom thinks he hung the moon!
If he doesn't I won't be shy telling her later  I'm sitting here laughing, I'm having trouble with my contacts today and I'm blinking more than usual, I hope the darn fool doesn't think I'm flirting with him  I better put some drops in my eyes before I go eat.
OMG I am laughing my butt off right about now. Maybe you need to take the contacts out and wear glasses.

Oh Tevye, that is so funny!  Wouldn't want to give him the wrong impression, would you!  lol

JSM, that's such good news about Josef.  I'm sure you'll have him home tomorrow.  I have been excited about Semi-solid poop too!

Please try not to be too upset.  You are a very good mom and Josef knows how lucky he is to have you.

I used to be just like you are with my first cat, Jackson.  He was with me through so many milestones in my life that the thought of losing him made me physically ill.  I watched over him like a mother hen-spazzmatic.  My vet told me that it was bad for him and bad for me.  Jackson was absorbing my stress.  I learned to cherish every single day we had together and trust in God that when the time came, God would take care of both of us.  He did.  It was loving and peaceful.  I knew the time was near, and God gave me 3 wonderful days to make peace with the inevitable and to hold him, love him and let him know it was OK.  Of course I still miss him, but when I think about him, it is with total love and reverence and with the unshakable knowledge that I will see him again.

You will have many, many more years with your precious Josef.  Please enjoy every single day and know that God will take care of both of you when what you fear most today is realized.   an angelic monkey
How wonderful, I'll bet Jackson was a great cat  an angelic monkey OMG, maybe Zoe is absorbing my stress
Oh no No Rose, I hope Zoe is okay. I think the new BF needs to come to the house and meet Zoe, that would be the deal breaker. If Zoe doesn't like him, then he needs to be kicked to the curb. JMO JSM   an angelic monkey
Hard to monitor that with her, she use to like my other daughter's husband now she growls at him and he won't come in the house. One way to keep people out of the house  I know that Zoe and I feed off of each others stress, that isn't good.
Same as Josef, he feeds off of my stress. I hope it all goes well tonight. Maybe he will be a good guy, if not I will send Josef to take care of him.

Hi, JSM and Tevye!

Glad to see you up and around, Tevye!
JSM, so happy to hear Josef is doing better!  Love that guy!
Hi MOF, thanks for the well wishes for Joe  an angelic monkey , I love the little guy so much. Glad he has supporters online, as my family isn't too keen on him.
Hey, we're monkeys! It's in our DNA to love devil dogs!!! And besides, how many dogs have their own threads on the internet? I'm very glad he's ok, and now you can relax and enjoy the closing cermonies. I hear Shania Twain may sing tonight....
an angelic monkey Thanks Tevye, devil dogs are the best for monkeys. Makes me think of that monkey grabbing that dog's tail CC always posted. I always LOL at that.

I've always had dogs in my life.  When hubs and I got married, he had a dog that was part cocker spaniel and part border collie.  She had always been an outside dog, and did not like being in the house.  She was an awesome dog, but she was a renegade.  She would drag her 'prizes' up on the porch to show us.  One time, neighbors had butchered cattle, and we kept finding a leg on our porch.  Hubs would throw it back in the field, but it would show up on the porch again.  He finally had to bag it up, drive miles away from home, and get rid of it.

She lies at rest where many family pets were buried at my parents' house.  We will always miss her, but we have some good pics of her, playing frizbee was her favorite. an angelic monkey
an angelic monkey for your dog. I can't imagine a leg coming up every day coming up to the house, Josef found a dead coyote one time, drug it up and was playing with the tail. Yuck. Glad we live in town now.

I don't feel comfortable in my glasses, and usually only wear them in the house, I did put some drops in my eyes, and they feel better. But now my husband said to me, why is there black under your eyes, I guess my mascara ran from the drops. I can just feel this isn't going to go well, but at least I don't have to cook anything tonight.

We live in a different are now, too.  We've had many other dogs throughout the years, and have two right now, both are outside dogs, but in a large pen.  Dogs are so awesome!  They just want to love you and have no agenda other than being happy to see you.

One of our former dogs, a chocolate lab, had some stomach issues, also.  I remember having her at the vet one particular time, and when I called to check on her, they suggested I bring her a treat since she wasn't eating the dog food they were giving her.  So I did, took it to her, took her outside to see if we could get any 'action' but then had to literally drag her back to the kennel.  She was a fairly large dog and did NOT want to go there.  It took two of us to get her back there.  I always wondered if she thought I was the bad guy, because I would have to take her in, but hubs would bring her home.  It just worked out that way, because he works 20 miles away and I was here in the same town, so I could get her and take her.  She never seemed to hold it against me, tho.  She was very sweet.

Your mascara thing reminded me of a co-worker of mine.  We work every-other Saturday morning, and this particular day she and her husband had gone to breakfast, and he said something about her having something kinda red up by her eyebrow.  She started to wipe at it, and he said it was on the other side too.  Long story short, she'd used lipliner instead of eyebrow pencil on her eyebrows.  She asked him why he hadn't said anything before, and he said Well, I just thought you were trying something new.  I laughed so hard I cried.

Dogs are awesome MOF. Josef has a mind of his own. He knows when we are on the way to daycare and I have to put his leash in the door so he cant get me. They get him out of the car, he tries to bite me, but once he is in the door, he walks in like he is king of the castle. When I have been visiting him at the vet, he has no problem walking in the door with me until I walk him to treatment, then his eyes glaze over, and tries to bite then they drag hiim back to the cage. He knows I am leaving him and that is what breaks my heart. But at least when I know he is biting, he feels better.

I pray it goes well No Rose. You will be fine and I will say a prayer for y'all! Enjoy yourself tonight and if you don't like him, keep quiet and she will get rid of him.  an angelic monkey
My husband is now wearing dress pants and a nice shirt, that's funny he never dresses up when we go to eat. And here I am in brown cords a shirt and I will pop my flip flops on and go.

Might as well be comfortable, huh?

Your mascara thing reminded me of a co-worker of mine.  We work every-other Saturday morning, and this particular day she and her husband had gone to breakfast, and he said something about her having something kinda red up by her eyebrow.  She started to wipe at it, and he said it was on the other side too.  Long story short, she'd used lipliner instead of eyebrow pencil on her eyebrows.  She asked him why he hadn't said anything before, and he said Well, I just thought you were trying something new.  I laughed so hard I cried.
Good reason not to wear makeup.

Amen to that!
I suspect it's his separation anxiety that causes that, but you probably already know that.  I'm sure Josef loves you unconditionally.  And he knows you are his Mom dog, and you take very good care of him.

That's funny  So now the phone rang my husband got it, and they aren't going to dinner because he is sick, and my husband says okay, hope he feels better. I grabbed the d@mn phone and called her back and asked her what is going on. That fool is moaning in the background that he doesn't feel good, blah, blah. I said to her, he's kidding right, tell him to get his butt in the car and get to the place to eat, if he is that sick take him to the hospital otherwise. If and when I ever meet this kid I'm going to slap him silly. My daughter goes, I will meet you there, I said, why, we know who you are, we want to meet him. I believe my last words on the phone were, you can really pick them. I better calm down, and now my husbands going well let's us go to eat, as I stormed up the stairs.

Hey NoRose,

Whatever you wear will be fine.  Remember...it's his job to impress you.  I hope you have a really good time.
