I don't think either of the Anthonys ever really believed KC would do that to them. I think they just thought they could still control her and her actions from afar. The denial in that family is so ingrained it was easy for them to just brush it off as the media attacking them. If they had been paying attention here they could have read it before the remains were even found that would be the most likely defense. Of course I am sure bozo has most likely been lying to them about it but for them to hear (which we know they are watching) Finnell using all the talking points the defense is going to use made it finally real for George. I am not sure it will ever be real for Cindy.

I don't care for anyone on the defense team but I must say that grey haired guy lady appears far more intelligent than Jose.

I do not get why she is allowed to ask all these "mitigating factors" considering some of them arent even within the statute pertaining to it.  Regardless, just because a defense psychologist states something doesnt necessarily make it so, certainly not without any prior history.

To me this is testing their case & strategy versus inquiring if this PJ can be impartial and/or could recommend the DP in that phase.   What is very obvious is that they absolutely intend to put her on the stand if they are failing in every other aspect & do plan on putting forward Casey's allegations.

Greetings Monkeys! It's been awhile! As a (somewhat) atheist, I'd like to insert my 2 cents about the DP.

Not sure if it's true, but I heard once that it's actually cheaper to keep someone LWOP then to go through all the legalities and red tape that it takes to put someone to death.

I'm not sure if there's a god(ess) or not, but in my mind it's far more torturous to have to sit in prison for life rotting away.  Who knows? Maybe there's a super-forgiving God up there and he will let Casey be at peace once she's dead.  I certainly don't want her to rest in peace so quickly.  She already looks as though she's aged way more than three years since '08.

Remember back to SM '08?  Good ol "Dolce" and I got into an argument about the importance of knowing Caylee's father.  She said it wasn't.  And of course, now there's talk about LA or GA will be the defense's strategy.  I want this to happen, but I'm skeptical that it won't because we've heard NOTHING about it yet. And we all know how much the defence SUCKS at keeping their traps shut.  Seems to me there would be a mention of it by now by somebody with loose lips.

I'd also like the mention THE HAIR.  I think ICA and the defense are attempting to demonstrate how long she's already suffered through the incarceration process, but she needs to cut that horse tail off ::snipping2::, I think it makes her look like a crazy person who lives in a cave.  I'll get off my soapbox now, but before I do I’d like to thank all the wonderful monkeys who keep me updated while I’m at work throughout the day! And the courtroom photos too! You all rock! It’s great to see so many of the same smiling monkey faces from 2008!

SM truly tops the news as an up to the minute source!  I think we may even beat twitter when it comes to breaking news. Bless all your monkey hearts!

I really can't see this "brain development" playing into mitigation. Casey knew/knows how to lie, steal, cheat, manipulate and murder. Even people with diminsished cognitive function know murder is wrong and would never take another's life, let alone kill their own baby.

Reasonably, 12 jurors, 8 alternates @ 3 hours each= 60 hours.

They need to speed things up a little, huh?
