Now, I have you guys thinking...the money is the reason things have stopped at this point.  The only reason anyone has kept their mouth shut is the money.. You say what money?  So me.  Well I can't because  the Dutch have a way of doing things that tramples the little fellow and they don't care if they hurt anyone or not.  The average Aruban has to live off of the tourist trade and without that they suffer.  If tourism is so down, why aren't the people complaining?  Because the average Araban can't find it in themselves to rise up for fear of reprisal.  Their families would suffer far worse from rocking the boat than just staying the course.

And think about it...all but the Dutch ( and some American ex-patriots )are stuck on this island and proabably most have nowhere else to go, or the means and or ability to leave. Their educational system is below par and they are stuck..but, above and beyond all of this, fear of deadly reprisal is uppermost...instinct to survive reigns supreme.

A poster at FOB who appears to be an Aruban is saying that Choose a Name Bar did burn down at approx 6pm today.  This poster is saying it appears to have something to do with insurance??

Insurance....normally, establishments are not torched for insurance in broad daylight, but this is Aruba....that's why I asked if they had a restaurant, earlier.  It's pretty silly, to use a mild word.  Been many a bar burned down in NJ that I'm sure had something to do with insurance....but it was not for lack of it....just collection due to undetected fraud.  JMHO

Thanks Klaas. Look at the ears - the ears are like a fingerprint.   Satish's ears bend in at the top.  The guy in the party pic with Joran's do not.

Ono, Sunfreak, there is a state in Anniston, Alabama, of one of my great uncles.  Are either of you related to this man?  There is also a house in Richmond by the name of Sherwood Forest that belongs to family members.

Lala's, it's insanity.  I inherited it from my children.  Do you remember a little boy on David Letterman and David asked him "what college?"  He said Auburn.  Dave said, "where is Auburn?"  He said, "Opelika."

They all look like Satish to me

Sunfreak - with all due respect, the quality of the 9/28/2005 photo is not good enough to see that detail.  In my opinion, there is no question that it is Satish.

DANA, fantastic program, great interview.  I was so interested in Hollywood in my youth.  Had an uncle director at Pasadena Playhouse and at one time I was interested in being a thespian, so I was fascinated by anything Hollywood.  This was a great story about Reeves, and not something that I would not have imagined going on.  Wonder how many people Manix had to "frighten" for them to keep quiet about Elizabeth, Marilyn and Rock?

Not related to John Tyler, nor know of what you speak in Anniston;  My Virginia roots are Jamestown and Northern Neck...Family earliest down here: 1819.

Per Arubagirl at RU regarding the fire at Choose A Name today:

Total loss for the Club, the downstairs restaurants have a lot of water damage, as far as I know no one was hurt. The fire SEEMED to have started when construction on the roof was going on.
