I hate it Finnel is back - she is good at questioning,

and she is starting to establish doubt about what law enforcement failed to do, ie: ask DC where he entered woods-mark a map, etc.  Same tactic she used on the documentary, "Murder on a Sunday Morning".

She does make me nervous.  The first bright defense lawyer.  Firm, yet respectful....what a change....

I personally think Mason is effective too. But, he's not very personable which in turn alienates the jury.

Yes, Mason is effective at making HUGE errors for his side, which help out the defense.

Just another lame attempt by the Defense to muddy the waters and obfuscate.

I guess they think that is creating reasonable doubt but I don't think the jury is as dumb as DT thinks.

It all comes down to common sense.....31 days, no 911 call EVER from her "mom", smell of a dead body from numerous ppl with no vested interest like Simon Birch, screwing boozing and tattoing...that is all I needed to know to ssend her to death row OR LWOP.

Casey Anthony's Lawyers Call For Mistrial, Ask Court To Reconsider Death Penalty
First Posted: 06/27/11 06:53 PM ET Updated: 06/27/11 06:54 PM ET

Video at link.
Casey Anthony's defense team filed a motion Monday asking the court to reconsider the death penalty, a direct response to a recent Florida court ruling in which a Miami federal court judge found the death penalty unconstitutional.

Monday's motion argues that the death penalty would be "in violation of the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution and ... the Florida Constitution."

The motion cites the June 20 decision by U.S. District Judge Jose E. Martinez to grant a new sentencing hearing to a convicted killer. In making his decision, Martinez found that the way the death penalty is handed down in Florida is unconstitutional because juries, unlike judges, are not required to explain what aggravating factor or factors led them to justify execution.

Martinez's ruling does not strike down Florida's capital punishment law, but it is proving to be a thorn in the side for lawmakers. Criminal justice experts have also voiced concerns that the decision will result in a flurry of appeals by the recently convicted, the Miami Herald reported.

I just thought of something. Cindy said she's salary but her company doesn't like them to show overtime hours, right? She did say she's on salary? The reason I'm asking os bc her direct deposit shows different amounts being deposited every other week. If she was salary, she'd receive the same amount each pay. Right?

Bump... Please...

Depends on how much she had taken out of her paycheck and when..health insurance, life insurance, IRA deposit and 401k..I know I got paid every two weeks and they were not always the same due to I elected 401k and IRA come out of every other paycheck.

ITA..........salaried workers have the same amount every paycheck except maybe a bonus once or twice a yr, I am commissioned so mine is different every month, but I have never heard of anyone on salary having varying amounts deposited to their acct. Good point!

I happen to agree with the defense that the body was placed in that location at a later date. I don't know who or why someone did it, but I firnly believe it happened. And as for Kronk, he's a snake, imo. Something isn't right with him. His "I stopped on the side of the road to pee and stumbled across remains" is a CROCK of BS, imo.

Just what makes you think the body was placed there at a later date?  Everything I saw or heard has convinced me she was there pretty much the whole time?

I remember when Dominic Casey was searching for Caylee, Lee mentioned something about a key. Alot of us thought he had a storage shed & that was where Casey hid Caylee or something. Some people thought Lee took care of hiding the body. Dominic Casey insinuated that Lee could have hid the body to cover for Casey. I almost felt like George & Cindy were throwing Lee under the bus to save Casey. I threw that thought out...but now I wonder. They seem like Casey always comes first.

Lee & Mallory had a baby, right?

Did anyone else hear the testimony the way I interrputed it?

IMO Baez is trying to get the jury to believe that the PI checked the woods in the area where Caylee was and the remains were not there; therefore, Caylee was not there because Kronk had her and placed her there sometime after the PI search.

However, what I heard Dominic say....what he put on those sheets that some seem to be aggravated that Mr. George took all the time with....was...that Dominic was in that area BUT he was up on the middle of the road and walking in the middle of the road and was NOT down in the woods and looking.

Also, those sheets show that he was in the woods looking at an area farther down from where the remains were, toward the school.

It's clear to me that Mr. George got PLENTY out of Dominic.

It was placed there later, I agree - the 24th of June to be exact when George tried to get in her trunk. That baby was in the trunk that day covered with clothes to hide her. The timeline fits perfectly as to the way the body would have been at the time. I am a fanatic about forensics and I can tell you the forensics in this case are right on target.

I do think LE may have made one mistake and that was not having the larvae tested for DNA. It may be that they did and because of the time lapse between the time KC dumped the body and the time they got possession of the car the DNA was gone. It is very susceptible to heat.

The bones were scaterred by animals and chewed on..animals wouldn't scatter and chew bones that had just been placed there and were nothing but bone.  Also the way the roots and vegetation was growing through the bags and actually through and around the bones..that takes time ..like months per the botonist,

Well, I don't know how I feel about today.  Exhausted might be the best word.  But it sure seems like there were some details that could've been brought out by the pros that got skipped over.  Maybe Bill S can clue me in.
