And finally,  it all comes out.  That is what happens when you tempt fate and test Karma...You can run, but you can't hide.  Someone is always watching.....

WHY you ask???? It is quite simple. Because the cover-up goes all the way to the TOP of Aruban government. The "powers that be" made a conscious, despicable decision that the Island's tourism reputation would be better off if the case was a simple "missing person" case instead of a "murder" case by their own locals.  I think this "cover-up" started on June 10th when they announced they had found the body but then retracted it.

BECAUSE Joran can come back and party hardy, and afford this lifestyle, and enjoy acceptance, it indicates to me, again, that this was not a drugged date rape just gone wrong. Maybe there are people that are pleased with Joran's ability to dodge this bullet, and have awarded him/his family nicely.

This I do know: it takes big bucks to support kids, with one in college, pay a high profile attorney, maintain a house, travel internationally, vacation regularly, drop $$ at casinos. There is no outward explanation for a teacher and defunked judge to be able to afford such a lifestyle. How much would he have gotten for a book deal and interview, anyway? That's a good question for a Dana guest.

I highly doubt that anyone's phone is tapped.
They ( ALE ) weren't even monitoring him when he was a person of interest.
Perhaps the reason he is staying at the Mariiott is because it is harder to monitor the calls. Also, the parents might be afraid of listening devices.  
But, life goes on and Joran is just continuing where he left off, eh?
I think that there are ppl on hte island who are monitoring him, but there are not affliated with the ALE.

I want him taken down not out.  I want him to languish in prison for at least the 15 years his laws allow.  I don't advocate prison rape, but if it happens to him what can I do about it? By the time he gets out he will  be balding & middle aged.  Life will have passed him by, and no one any woman in her right mind would want anything to do with.  All the money he has made from the interviews & the book deal will go to Natalee's family.

On a local basis, when someone starts making plans for a winter vacation, make sure Aruba is NOT considered, no matter how low the prices go. Here, we have no direct planes to that  place.But there are always the cruises.

I am trying really hard not to take this in a negative way but I think SM has stayed pumped for the whole time since Day 1 when we got the word Natalee's parents had gone to Aruba taking money for ransom and that she had been kidnapped.

What am I missing here??  We are not doing enough or should be doing something differently?  All the hard work and good things of the past we have brought about don't count for some reason?  

I'm willing to try just about anything to help but what is it we are not doing right?   :( ldstlou, have you been reading here for the whole time?  I am surprised you would feel this way if you have but guess some will have a different take on our efforts than I have.  But I do respect your right to yours and we're all good. :wink: Just what is it we are lacking or supposed to do that we have not been doing all the time?  I guess I need instructions because I can't come up with much or I would be doing it. :?

I've been thinking on how we can raise money to send TES back to Aruba.
I'm thinking along the lines of something like another cookbook of sorts. Except this time we try to get a favorite recipe from people like Jossy, Art Wood, Beth, Dave, Stephanie Good, Tim Miller, etc. Maybe we could even include some of the cable talking heads recipes. On each person's page we also include one or several of their profound quotes about the case. Maybe Beth will even share with us one of Natalee's favorite recipes. Then we can also feauture the hilarious artwork of people like Klaas, Carpe and a few others if they are willing. We can have a page with all of our candles. I'm willing to offer my tribute poem to Natalee as well. We can also include recipes from us to round out the book too.

What do you all think?

Anna...have not been here the whole time...though have been here from afar. I have been here a month...and in all honesty...have seen days I wanted to cry for Klaas...because there were people posting this crime would NEVER be solved....and saw Klaas voice in the background saying YES IT WILL KEEP THE FAITH!! I have never said I was a long timer here...I have been supportive!!! in a short time created GREAT friendships!!...have done nothing but exclaimed this blog as a miraculous sight for a miraculous cause!!
You may get mad at me....but as a "newcomer" I am telling you...I have seen signs of defeat here lately!! I don't know how anyone could NOT feel defeated at times...hell...how can you not!!  I meant NO OFFENSE!!! to the people that have been here for 14 mos for this cause!!! Didn't mean to offend anyone!! Just saw a place where we might be really affective!! in our campaign for justice. I feal really beaten down!! Don't know how ya all hang in there!! I was really trying to help...and not meant to be a cheerleader!! Really saw this as a weakness on their part...one we could exploit!!

Yeah, I've seen it too Scarlett!  The only offense we should take should be directed at the grown up mullet wearers making their kids follow in their footsteps!  Funny thing is...I'd believe that this hairstyle is still fashionable in some parts of the country... :roll:  :wink:

Sorry you feel so beaten down, but I don't at all.  I did at times like when all the suspects were released WITH PREJUDICE meaning they can't be called back in for even questioning without new and additional evidence but nothing of late has made me feel that way.

And finally,  it all comes out.  That is what happens when you tempt fate and test Karma...You can run, but you can't hide.  Someone is always watching.....

Unfortunately it appears FOB is not closing, that was just a publicity stunt.  Not that it really matters much whether they are closed or not since they only get about 3 visitors per day anyway.  That place is really, really evil, it almost makes RU look like SM or BFN by cpmparison.  I posted there for about a day but had to quit because I was just too sickened by the unspeakably vile and cowardly mocking of a defenseless victim by the forum administrators no less.

Katz, you did great.  I am so glad you had the opportunity to meet with Skeeters.  How great is that.  So many good things SM are doing lately.  These interviews with Dana, while late in the game, are still better than anything we got on MSM.  These are the real people who are involved in this.  These are not just talking heads reading a script  on TV while, a la Greta, courting the sporter.

LisaStLou, if you are reading, just wanted you to know that all monkeys are appreciated, and to take myself back down Memory Lane.

When I first started posting here, although I was not new to posting about Natalee, and had registered here early on but never posted and then I ended up in doom/gloom site.  Back to what I started..........

I would come on in the mornings and catch "India" who coupled with "PI" would argue like mad with me and then when they left they were replaced by one moderator from the Bon Dia camp and her comrade who worked "my fingers to the bone" for Bon Dia only to make it sound as though she was doing it for monkeys and no matter what I said, it was wrong and she was "very tight" with the moderators.  

Then at night, I had to face Hannie and Bon Dia.  We were so tested back in those days.  Goodness, I used to stay around until they all went to sleep just to post with the likes of AzLady, Nonesuche, Anna, Spooky, because whatever I said, I would be smacked down by some of those who are now "major posters" at the hate sites.

Lisalou.... it's happy hour. It's Friday.  We're here together.  Together is the key word.

It's hard to be new.  We were all new once.  It's hard when you can't "see people talking" because you can't read their face and their body language.  

Crack open a beer with me and Angie and that bad boy Third and let's channel that energy into something positive.

And pray for Nonesuche and her hubby.  They need 'em big time today from us all.
