I am still heartsick over the verdict but I did find a tiny bit of solace in the following site:

Even though she got away with murder, she's still a convicted felon and loses her right to professional licensure in Florida.  Quite interesting read of what she cannot be licensed to do now...not all are what one might consider professional occupations.

I agree with you 100%.  We may be hard working, child centered, financially challenged people, but we have blessings.   We can look at the sun and see a brigth day...people like the Anthony's cannot take pleasure in those things.   Thus, the things that make them happy, will get harder to come by...I would not trade one day of my life for one day of theirs will MILLIONS of dollars.

As for the jury;  the Tao states we should not interfere in one's life....for if we do, we are responsible for everything that results.   I could live with myself for any results from life in prison but not KC being free.  That is a terrible burden, sadly, the jurors will likely keep making excuses and blaming the state.

Thanks. I am not understanding the math. She has been jailed since what...Oct. 2008? ALL APX.
Oct. 2008 to July 2011 =  2 yrs. and 9 months (33 months/apx. 992 days) + apx. 330 days for 10 days per month good time  gain = 1322

365 days/year = 1460 days
                      -1322 days
                      = 138 days to remain in jail  = apx 4.6 months

why are they saying she could be out in late July or August?

I know I was just doing the math to and got the same thing. I think orange county can give her extra days for good behavior the county jails can give whatever they want I think..

I'm a little behind and this thread is moving fast, so I apologize in advance if someone's come up with a "fitting" calculation for KC's sentence...

4yr sentence (365 x 4 = 1460 days)      1460 days
33mos x 30days served =990 days)      -990 days
                                                        = 570 days served to date
33mos x 5 days/mo for good behavior     164 days
                                                        = 405 days
1 year time served-365 days                  365 days
                                                             40 days remaining of sentence!!!!

Ugh, I figured it out and had a hard time explaining it, don't mean to confuse anyone. I think I need more coffee, or something stronger

Are you talking about the check charges? If so, she did a plea deal last January for 13 checks. She was given time served on that by Judge Strickland which was 412 days and one yr probation. She is a felon.

The way I inderstood it, the time served on the check cashing AND the lying to LE doubled up. I was off 40+ days on the good behavior....

Doesn't really matter anymore how the numbers add up...she's out July 13th, I suspect she'll spend Thurs. the 14th at a spa and then party the weekend away in search of her next victim....or she'll make media rounds and rake in the big bucks (big, big sigh).

When I just read the release date, my entire body froze, my heart thumped and I could not breathe for a second.  My throat is dry as could be and why is it I feel this way but her supposedly loving family does not? 

I feel like my child died.  How can this be happening?  Why do I feel guilty like somehow this was my fault and I did not protect Caylee?  Why can Cindy walk around all proud as a peacock when her granddaughter is dead and her killer will be getting out of jail next week?

That really got to me too about Cindy this am. I am even more sick with the release date. Our system has failed. How can you bargain jail time for another crime you are charged with, plead guilty and time served was 412 days. You get to use those days again to count on these charges for which you are guilty of? We are a broken society in many more ways than I wanted to believe.
