CC Can you see this picture?
He looks like Josef, but I have a feeling it isn't, because since Josef and Zoe are so much alike, I doubt if you can get a costume on him. One year we put a little witch's hat on Zoe, and snapped the picture of her, she has the most grumpy look, my daughter has that pic at her desk at work, and everybody laughs. I can barely put a bandana on her without her complaining

No Rose, that is definitely not Josef. Poor dog, I can't believe someone would put that on it and the dog poses for a picture. Josef wears a bandana but definitely will NOT wear a hat.

Yeah!!!! I'm back from the doctors office, got some DRUUUGS!!!! And just in time to see that Chicago is out!!!!! And they are blaming Michael Jordan for his lack of participation??? WTH

Now what are they going to do with all the slums they were planning on tearing down for their Olympic Venues??? I'm sure that O will figure out a way to siphon off funds for his town through the back door to build something fancy there.

Sorry to hear CC is still having computer problems. Should I torment him with some pictures I had stored up or should I show him mercy?? I think I will be nice today.

Back to the doctor. I am going to live, EKG said my heart is fine, BP is good, I can now hear out of my ear that was plugged, and it no longer hurts. My hawt little doctor is as worried about what is happening with our Health Care and said nothing good is going to come out of it.. He said he would see to it that we were still cared for. He is unhappy with the government and what is happening everyday. He has some questions in his mind about the H1N1 shot, and anyhow, I am over 63, the cut off age. I did get a Pneumonia shot and the last regular flu shot he had. My back is still screaming, but my son is going to pu RX when he gets back from his job at school. He was called in today. Shopping will have to wait till tomorrow.

Ok, now you all now my medical story. I am now back in my Jammies and propped on pillows and intend to stay that way the rest of the day. It's after noon, so ML will have to do to the heavy stuff gets here.

Glad you are back and everything went well.   an angelic monkey  I wish some of the meds we take could be bought over the counter, especially since we are gonna wind up with chit for health care.

Yes, I'm glad.    I went over to musings. I'm going to throw my two cents in here, not there. I try to stay out of this personal stuff when it comes up on other threads, I enjoy reading and talking about what we all write here on JSM's thread. I have been to a lot of therapy sessions since I have been a young teen, off and on for years. What I'm seeing on musings/other threads/other forums and blogs is so junior high/high school, and I can't figure out why? I guess some people's mind set is still like when they were in school. I could go on and on about how I was picked on, how I was picked on my first year of high school, when all my friends went to public school, and I was forced into the Catholic school. How I tried to fit in, and decided that I was going to try out for the pom pom squad, how after weeks of talking myself into it, only to go and one of the girls said to me, I didn't know they were allowing fat pigs to try out. It went to hell for me from there, I starved myself, ended up in the mental ward of the hospital being threatened that if I didn't eat, they would come in and feed me with tubes. On and on through the years with eating disorders and other issues. But everytime I crawled out of the black hole and carried on. That all is nothing compared to what other people have gone through. There just are some people that find great pleasure in tormenting others, that I know, and it is hard to say it doesn't bother you. I have chosen not to participate in this talk going back and forth in musings, not that I don't have sympathy, I have a lot of sympathy. If I want to argue and such I would just get off the computer and join in on discussions in my home. For me it is just easier to say, it is all water under the bridge, now let's carry on, instead of more feelings getting hurt. I want to say again, how wonderful it is for me to come on JSM's thread and discuss, and to read other people's day and offer support. This is like family to me.  an angelic monkey

Obamas Fail in Personal Pitch to Bring 2016 Olympics to Chicago
Olympic officials eliminated Chicago in the first round of voting from its bid to host the 2016 Summer Games, a surprise failure for President Obama who put his capital behind an enormous campaign.

FOXNews.com

Friday, October 02, 2009
Chicago was eliminated in the first ballot of voting for the 2016 Olympics on Friday, a stunning defeat for President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama who risked their political capital and the prestige of the presidency on an enormous Olympic campaign.

Rio de Janeiro ultimately won the right to host the Summer Games.

Chicago had seemed to pick up momentum in the last few days, with many International Olympic Committee members seemingly charmed by Michelle Obama. But when IOC president Jacques Rogge announced the results of the first vote, Chicago's name was announced.

Critics immediately decried Obama's visit to Copenhagen, the first time a U.S. president made such an in-person appeal.

"It demeans the office," said GOP consultant Brad Blakeman, a former Bush administration official. "For the president to be reduced to the effect of the Billy Mays pitchman for the United States to get the Olympics for his home city of Chicago is just not something that presidents do."

6.55pm They’ve all gone predictably bonkers in the hall, Pele is crying, so’s everyone else. Good decision by the membership who for once practiced what they preached. The Games go to a developing nation for the first time since Mexico in 1968, and Brazil is going to host the two biggest events in world sport in the space of two years.
