it's a whole new level to consider.... for me at least, I think that most people arrived there before me.  I however, have always wondered how just three kids could cause this much damage and how could an entire country cover up for three punks???

Even IF she showed the signs of being drugged ("evidence"), though, does that prove that Joran or K2 did it? Especially under the so-called Aruban "laws" where no one is EVER guilty of ANYTHING.

I am saying that the guys would not have killed her JUST to destroy "evidence", that they had a darker and more sinister motive in some way, or that it happened as an unplanned result, or that it happened as a crime of passion (anger)

I just can't get away from "heavy" battery.....

Me either Buckeye.  Can't ignore those charges.  What made them charge him with these charges.  What evidence do they have.

Of course we all know they saw the body but how did they charge him with those charges without a body a whole year later.

I believe that the coverup took on a life of its own because Aruba failed to anticipated the power a determined mother whose voice would not be silenced ... whose voice commanded media attention in regards to the perception that a corrupt investigation which was denying her precious daughter justice.

By the time the realization set in that Beth Holloway Twitty was not about to be silenced ... it was too late to turn back the clock.  It was no longer just about Joran, Deepak and Satish's role in the events that encompassed the morning when Natalee went missing ... it was about those within the ALE protecting their own from implication.  It was all about those within the Dutch/Aruban administrations who had knowledge or were involved in the coverup.  It was about the sons of the elite.  It was about exposure of Aruba's dirty little secrets in regards to gambling ... drugs ... money laundering ... pornography ... prostitution ...

Here's a thought that I don't think has been addressed in ALL this time:

IF Natalee had ACCIDENTALLY OD'ed on a drug that was slipped into her drink, she most likely would NOT have retained any coherent knowledge of what happened to her afterward. Unless she actually SAW Joran spike the drink, etc, she would have NO reason to blame the guys for doing anything. In fact, they could play the Prince Charming angle with her and act like Sir Galahad was on the scene to help her in her hour of distress, if they wanted to.

There would be NO REASON to kill her to cover up a crime. She would not have known what happened to her, or really who was responsible.

I also would add that even by their own mouths, the arubans have said... julia in particular that it's a small island and everyone knows everyone else's business... I think there are probably more than one person that knows exactly what happened,but why aren't the talking...
