Thanks, since Oduber is the Board of Directors of the company and is supposedly, perhaps, linked to the cover up, plus the government owns the company, just wonder how long the arms to could to wipe out or change the records pertainning to this case. Thanks! Keep safe!

Hey Klaas and Kermit:

Do you guys remember a post that had an Aruban map with the cell phone call locations and times marked out on it for morning of May 30th. Also, it had several pages of documentation describing the calls. I would like to look at it again. TIA.

In Aruba, which is more socialist than capitalist as far as utilities, etc., would it not be in the best interests of the country which is expedient, regardless of a couple dollars if the prime minister desired to retain control of the economy and how much would one cell phone be worth in that case.  Inquiring minds?  Yes.  Do I think Chavez would do that to guarantee his continued reign as a socialist governor, and do I think Obuder would do that to continue his reign as king of lying island?  absodamnlutely.

  I agree Tyler.

No, I don't think Joran's phone was tapped that first day.  Maybe by the third day if Dompig says so.   Rolling Eyes

But I think Joran might well be thinking that later his phone records could be easily retrieved by law enforcement.

But not if he was using somebody else's phone.

Just switch phones, no prob.  They wouldn't confiscate the phone records of everybody on the island, etc.  Nothing on his own records of to whom he spoke because he was speaking on another phone.

Just a theory to account for what happened to Sander's phone and why.

.

Dompig and ALE may have started wiretaps the third day but DEA/FBI could have started them sooner. I mention this because of Bachus comment to Greta after the powwow in Washington in which Greta asks him if the Arubans were upset over anything and he responds "the wiretaps."

I still think it's very possible they were being watched before Natalee ever hit the island as that would explain their immediate statement that they knew this was not the case of a runaway girl (Bachus again), that Beth said Natalee was kidnapped by a "drug dealer", and that Joran was held for two hours at the airport in NYC because he was on the DEA/FBI watch list.

This also supports the fact that there has been big money that doesn't want the 2VDS to go down because they are/were part of the drug and money laundering operations on the island.

Wouldn't the Kalpoes have long ago changed that hard drive?

I can't imagine they have the same one with all those at the Internet Cafe to chose from.

I don’t know why the interest in the computers at this late date unless they were curious about recent communications, etc.  Who knows?  I would love to plunder through the files on the Van Der Sloot and Kalpoe computers right now.

No, it's there. It's an analysis of the cell phone calls with the times and locations indicated by circles on the Aruban map.
