Last week in one of my convos with Body Farm and ORNL...there seems to be a *finished* entomology report.....I was told based on the results of this report...which has been sent to FBI.....that the ONLY thing Casey could hope for at this point was a plea bargain.....since when do maggots from a certian car...contain human DNA....huh?.......Des

Also, before the lock, someone had mentioned that KC had to cough-up $8,000 to retain her defense lawyer.  The A's have to be broke since their life savings went down the tube with KC.  So, where are these people coming up with money?  Neither have been working for the past few months, have they?  Even so, I would imagine they would be living paycheck to paycheck.

Lisa, from personal experience, I dont think it is about having the evidence, rather, about meeting the dp criteria...for instance, the state knew for sure that the scum who killed my friends daughter met 1 criteria, the other they were not so sure they could PROVE, so rather than going for the dp and murder 1 with a chance of one juror stirring the  pot, they went for murder 2 life w/o parole KNOWING they could get a conviction...

What is going on?  Those who have obstructed and undermine the efforts of Tim Miller (TES) are now upholding and playing a key role in the search.  The flip flop does not make sense.

I am so afraid that some "volunteers" have been planted by the defense and ... the search is going to be compromised.

Just the fact of Casey killing Caylee does not mean she is eligible for the death penalty...there are certain criteria that have to be met...here in La. there are 4 criteria...you have to meet at least 2 to be eligible for the dp and the state darn well better be able to prove it to a jury to get it...

I was just going to ask the same question.  If they found Caylee's DNA then did they also find drugs and chemicals?

If I were a betting monkey, I'd bet you my monkey tail -- Yes, they did!

Thus the defense's odd -- if it happened, it was a tragic accident, etc.

So, then, Casey probably freaked out when she opened the trunk and saw maggots on little Caylee's body, and that's when she began a plan to dispose of the body.  So, it seems to me that if it's assumed Caylee died on the 16th, it should be figured out how long it would take to produce maggots on a dead body.  From that day, it would make sense to really hone in on the pings and where they lead to.

ok, Janet and others. I've been out of the cage since yesterday afternoon and did not watch NG. So, what is the deal with NeJame and TES? Is he giving money? How is he involved? Are the Anthonys invovled directly? Have they given up their hard line of "Caylee's alive"?

This is gross but here is what I found using google on formation of maggots

It sounds to me that if the spot in the trunk was body fluids they could have kept feeding etc even after the body was removed from the truck.  Anyone know anything else?

In another phone call...which some of you already know about....ORNL team leader went to a junk yard and picked out 2 particular cars....cut the carpets out of the trunks...took those samples to the Lab for *air testing* for chloroform....one car had a very minute sp trace of chloroform something like .823 and the othe car had none...but was told that Casey's car had over 1,000 times the amount of chloroform than would even be considered a small trace....this is why kobi freaked out when NG pinned him down on how many cars were sampled...kobi also said it was the Body Farm that did the testing...it was not...it was ORNL....Des

I was watching The First 48 show last night.  They showed maggots crawling around where they had just recovered a body....very disturbing.  Imagine if you were seeing them on your dead daughter??????

Prosecutors say they don’t know if they have enough evidence to seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony, who is accused of killing her daughter, Caylee, WESH 2 News learned on Thursday.

A spokesman at the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office told WESH 2 News reporter Bob Kealing on Thursday that prosecutors have not taken the death penalty off the table, because the case is still developing and they hope to find Caylee’s body.

But Randy Means of the state attorney’s office said there are doubts they have enough aggravating factors to get the death penalty at this time.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Attorneys for Casey Anthony, who has been charged with first-degree murder in the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter, Caylee, are urging state prosecutors not to seek the death penalty in the high-profile case, using baby photos of their client to help their cause, Local 6 News reported.

Caylee was last seen in mid-June but was not reported missing until a month later. Her mother remains jailed on murder charges.

Local 6 News obtained the baby photos of Anthony, who is now 22, that will be used by her attorneys in an effort to sway the state from pursuing the death penalty.

The photographs show Anthony as a baby, playing with her brother, Lee, and surrounded by family members.

An experienced defense attorney was recently retained on Anthony's behalf, and he's hoping the photos and his 30-page argument will convince prosecutors.

"In this case, no one knows how death might have happened, if at all," stated the document, which was also obtained by Local 6 News. "If death did occur, the death was almost certainly a tragic accident."

Anthony's defense team also raises the possibility that Caylee may have been poisoned by chloroform, saying, "Death may have occurred while the child was sedated or from an unwitting overdose of a sedative."

Anthony's attorneys are also trying to show prosecutors that their client is an unlikely candidate for the death penalty because of her age and lack of a criminal record. Attorneys said the evidence suggests Anthony was a good, loving mother but also a troubled woman, who may be suffering from depression or other mental conditions, Local 6 News reported.

The defense admits that Anthony "spent money she does not have, wrote bad checks, had multiple unstable relationships and participated in risky behavior."

The request did not mention the baby sitter whom Anthony said she left Caylee with at an apartment complex before never seeing her again. But the argument is not a case strategy, Local 6 News reported, rather only an attempt to get the death penalty option off the table.

I am not a part of the prayer list, but I too will be praying (and already have been praying) that this search will be fruitful- not just for finding Caylee, but for Jennifer Kesse as well.   Both were beautiful individuals who need to be found and properly put to rest.

I found the maggot info very interesting so I did a bit of investigating....

Insects

There is a predictable and steady flow of insect ecology that will inhabit and feed off a dead body. The succession of insects is an important source of forensic evidence where there are suspicious circumstances or just in cases where time and mode of death are unknown.

From the moment of death, flies are attracted to bodies. Without the normal living defenses, blow flies and house flies will lay their eggs around wounds and in natural body openings, like the eyes, mouth, nose, vagina and anus. These eggs hatch and maggots will move through the body, often within 24 hours. Flesh flies follow the blow flies but give birth to live maggots, also found from 24 hours onward.

The feeding activities of maggots speed the breakdown of tissue. They use saliva to digest flesh and then suck up the liquid, just as adult flies do. Their feeding and their movement increases the temperature of the body which in turn increases bacterial activity. At the height of insect and bacterial activity the body might well be hot to the touch. Beetles may also be found feeding off the soft tissues at this stage, along with predatory wasps and ants who are there for a meal of maggots.

When the skin decays and ruptures and body fluids permeate the surrounding area, maggots usually move off the body either en masse or individually, according to species. Maggot masses may be found under carpets or ground cover as far as 20 feet from the body.

Beetles are usually the last remaining insects to feed on the drying body tissues, remaining there until only the bones are left. The skeleton may persist for many years.

Here is what I am really confused about....

In the "Cupid" dating profile, KC goes on and on about how she loves being a mom, her daughter is her life, etc.  Now she is 22, taking into consideration the men in her age bracket, well most of them are not looking for a ready made family (no offense intended, just speaking from my own experience as a single mom) and arent really interested in family time, but rather PARTY time.  When KC made that profile I am sure she knew that, so it leads me to think maybe she did actually love Caylee (no nanner throwing please, im not a KC supporter!) at one time.  Could it be that something in her did snap?  I just cant see a woman who says those things about the love for her daughter turn around and drug her, put her in the trunk, let her die and act like nothing has happened.  Not to mention later refer to her as "that child"

I am having a hard time putting into words what my brain is thinking on this, but hopefully you are kinda following me here. I am really really puzzled on this one!

I don't have an answer to that one but I have also thought about Benedryl (sp?).

My son had to take it for bad case of poison ivy once and WOW! it put him out cold for hours (normal dose for 40lbs in case any one got the wrong idea).

Since KC wanted to party all night and didn't have a sitter and also go to Tony's when Caylee wasn't welcomed this sounds like it would fit her purpose.

I believe that it is common sense that the defence taking such a major role in the the search effort in regards to finding the remains of Caylee Marie is a conflict of interest.  In other words ... the defence is assisting the prosecution in obtaining evidence that may imply the death penalty will again be on the table.

I'm wondering if REALITY is setting in.  Yesterday, when we did a drive-by Hopespring with MURT, TES was at the house.  Something just isn't sitting right with all these flip flops.  Cindy has always showed her disgust for TES, even to the point of fighting with Tim.  Now, all of a sudden, TES has coverage on the Anthony MySpace???  No, something is up big time.  And another thing, why no jail visits to see KC?  I'm wondering again, if REALITY isn't starting to set in with CA, finally????

I think it is strange too and it does seem like she may have snapped.  IIRC some of her friends had recently told her that Caylee shouldn't be at the clubs. Then the big argument with Cindy on the 15th may have been the final straw for her.  Caylee was probably fussy after this and KC either snapped and hurt Caylee, or tried to shut her up with chloroform.

Benadryl in too high a dose can easily kill a small child.  I gave my son a dose once after he was stung by a bee, and you are right, it does knock them out.  I had him sleeping right next to me because I was worried.

Wasn't it in the movie "Freedomland" that the mom accidently overdoses her child with cough syrup and she has a friend help her bury the child.  She then makes up an outrageous story to cover up the incident.  Just thinking out loud... Wonder if Casey ever rented that movie.

It is concerning to those of us who have seen all their insincerity and ulterior motives BUT it actually may be a sign that reality is being forced down their throats.

just read a report on the bones found. The boys that found them took some of them home. Their mother phoned LE. The boys said that they were small rib bones. They are still searching the area and have found more. There was also a
chain found near the skull, but did not say more. Looking for clothes etc. But said they would update when they can. Channel 6 on it.

I agree with you Janet.  It appears to me that it is possible that Team Anthony might be infiltrating the search.  I don't think that a meeting at a lounge owned and supplied by Nejame is a very good idea. In the past. Cindy has said all kinds of insulting things about Tim Miller and it is quite clear that she does not want Caylee's remains found.  In her mind, it is to Casey's advantage to have Caylee's remains never found.  She has also said, yesterday, I believe, that anyone who does not search for a "Live" Caylee has no conscience.  One can extrapolate that to the entire search effort, I suppose and I think the Anthonys and their cohorts will do everything to hinder the effort, even though appearing to help it.  I don't like this set up at all, but then it isn't for me to say.

Of course if Count Dracula should actually show up in the woods to search, he can just change himself into a bat and perch in a tree to watch.  LOL

I know that few if any ever read my posts, but if a kind person who knows how to do it would please make a Pilgrim out of my bear atavar I would really appreciate it. I don't want to be a nag so I won"t mention it again.

I contend ... if there has been a "sudden" change of heart on the part of the Anthonys in regards to Tim Miller's efforts and ... it was realized that it was in their best interest not to undermine the search ... a role in assisting TES with info is one thing.  However ... assuming a major role in the recruiting, organizing and training is quite another.

And there was miscommunication, misunderstanding. Cindy fully supports and appreciates the people that are going out and assisting any positive way they can, whether they believe Caylee is with us or Caylee`s not with us.

And so that`s what we`ve been assisting them, is to communicate. Now there`s a full and complete understanding, and there were tears and there were hugs and there was an understanding. And I think that -- in fact, I know George and Cindy fully support everybody`s assistance, especially Tim`s, so that we can get some answers. And what`s being set up is a ground search and a live search. So we`ve got all answers for all people.

George Anthony Seen Near Woods Where Teams Searched For Caylee
Tuesday, November 4, 2008

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Caylee Anthony's grandfather is desperate to find his granddaughter. An eyewitness reportedly saw George Anthony standing and staring into the woods near Hoffner Avenue in east Orange County (see map).

Eyewitness News has learned a search team could be looking for the little girl's body in the same place George was spotted. The area has already caught the attention of investigators. It was searched in September when EquuSearch was in town last time.

Now, a WFTV viewer says she saw George Anthony at the same spot early in the evening on October 30 looking into the woods. The area is easily accessible by car, yet easy to disappear into and it's less than four miles from where Casey Anthony and Caylee lived with Casey's parents.

The WFTV viewer said she saw Caylee's grandfather George's car parked in the area around 6:15pm on October 30 and that he was staring into the woods. Then she saw him get into his car and drive away. She figured he was looking for Caylee and the information was passed on to law enforcement.

Casey's defense team's public relations representative said they were aware George was there, that it has nothing to do with what the defense is doing and that there might be certain things that involve the case that they can't talk about.

The sheriff's office says tips that fit in with the investigators' timeline of Casey's whereabouts will be investigated and searched and Casey's phone records show that it's one of the areas that she frequented.

EquuSearch is back in town, too, making plans for the next search scheduled to begin on Saturday. EquuSearch said Tuesday it's getting things organized and training the volunteers. They're expected to search for Caylee for three or four days.

One of the areas they'll return to, to finish what they started, is near Orlando International Airport, where a third of the territory they wanted to search was covered in water from Tropical Storm Fay.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Caylee's grandmother Cindy text messaged WFTV reporter Kathi Belich to say George was looking at the woods to scout out another possible location for the rolling billboard that bears Caylee's photograph and the phone number to call for information.

Your'e very welcome SunnyinTX, where are all the phone calls between Casey and Lee?  Maybe she did have a seperate phone to communicate with him, also he lived so close to the A's that the same tower would ping if she was at Lee's.  The only thing LE have said about TonyL is that he's cooperated fully with them.  I think you might be onto something, it helps me I've been going back & forth between these 2 guys.  I'm leaning more toward Darth Vader now.

I know people who give their kids benadryl to make them go to sleep..it's extremely dangerous. (and I don't mean they give it to them when they are sick)
There is only one reason I have kids' benadryl in my house, and that is for allergic reactions, which thankfully, to date, have not occurred. I mean, it can slow your heart rate down, because a doctor used to tell my husband to take benadryl if he was having a panic attack (which i thought was quacky anyways).
I'm pretty cautious with ANY type of medications that are meant for children, and luckily, my kiddos arent sick very often. My oldest is 8 and he still fights with me about taking medications. He could be throwing up and have a fever and would STILL try to keep from taking children's motrin..

George knew from the get-go - he was frightened to open the trunk at the tow yard.  When he got home Cindy said we've lost her, we've lost her and when George said "Who?" Cindy said Caylee.

While watching Murt at the wooded area I became very angry. So many caring people will be tramping through areas like this one and worse looking for what remains of little Caylee. I just can't get over the fact that it all shouldn't even be necessary. Casey knows where that baby is and most likely so do others. Such disrespect is a crime in and of itself!!

Thanks, numbergirl.  Casey was quite a con artist.  I think she was preparing for a life of grifting, mooching, forging and falsifying, not to mention lying.  I got the impression the 4000.00 deposit was a fake, too.  It indicates to me that money had become a big issue between her and her parents, who were in financial straits and still footing all the bills.

Speaking of odd things out of George...It gave me the creeps when George mentioned his thoughts when opening the trunk at the tow yard. Something along the lines of "please don't let this be Caylee"  Why would he even be thinking along those lines?  Not only is that odd, to me it means that in his heart he thought that Casey would be capable of such an act even before this whole thing started.

I've heard it said that Casey was searching How to MAKE chloroform, and speculated that she wanted to make it herself as not to leave a "paper trail."  IMO if she was only going to use the chloroform to put Caylee to sleep, and never thought anyone would find out, then why worry if there would be a paper trail and just purchase it.  If you were planning on doing MORE than putting her to sleep then you would be worried about leaving a trail!

That's what I took the statement to mean Hudson.  KC faked work e-mails & a deposit to their bank account, which just happened to be around the time that GA had made a $4000 deposit, what do you think the odds are that CA thought GA was the one that didn't make the deposit that he told her he did, thought of that but wasn't clear if it was around the same time period, so it confused me as well.

Another thing that has been bothering me..... I have tried to put myself in everyone of the "key" players shoes to try and make some sense out of this bizarre case.  Every time I think I've figured something out, something comes out of left field and I'm back to square one.  To the point though, I was watching the Tony Pipitone episode and he says that according to Casey's cell phone records June 15th and before she was sleeping an average of 3 to 4 hours a night, but on the June 16th, she sleeps for 12 hours, (and the 17th and the 18th) I hope they use this to show "her state of mind" also while her daughter is supposed to be missing.

Massive Search To Begin For Caylee
3-Year-Old Girl Last Seen In Mid-June

ORLANDO, Fla. -- In what may be the largest search in U.S. history, about 4,000 volunteers are expected to search for 3-year-old Caylee Anthony, who was last seen in mid-June.

Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in connection with her daughter's disappearance.

The Texas-based group Equusearch will conduct the Saturday search for Caylee, and the group has set up its headquarters on Lee Vista Boulevard and Shadow Ridge Drive near Orlando International Airport.

The group is preparing 350 team leaders Friday, who are being sent out in groups of two or three to different areas to determine what type of equipment and how many people they will need in their search.

Tim Miller and Mandy Albritton of Equusearch said the search is a huge undertaking.

"This is the biggest and largest search that Texas Equusearch has ever done," Mandy Albritton said.

"In the very best conditions -- if this little girl is out there -- she's skeletal remains, and it's going to be extremely easy to miss," Miller said.

California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, who bailed out Anthony from jail months ago when she was only charged with child neglect, is also back in Orlando to help in the search.

"We'll basically brief (Equusearch) on what we had," said Padilla, who has analyzed pings to towers from Anthony's cell phone records.

"The woman lives her life 10 minutes at a time. It never, ever affects her adversely. Child's dead? OK. What do do? Oh, I've got to go (to) Blockbuster tonight," said Padilla, making note of the fact that Anthony was captured on surveillance video shortly after Caylee's disappearance.

Miller said Padilla's information coincides with where they planned to search.

Cindy Anthony, who believes her granddauther is still alive, will not assist in the search.

"I talked with Cindy yesterday, and we hugged -- and we even had some tears come out -- but I don't believe that (Caylee's) alive," Miller said.

Miller said a meeting will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at the Taboo nightclub in Orlando for anyone who is interested in joining in the search, which is scheduled to take place Saturday at 8 a.m.

Casey's Mental Health

The mental health of Casey Anthony could be the key to determining her fate, according to a Local 6 News report.

Anthony is scheduled to go to trial in January.

Anthony has undergone two psychological evaluations, but the reports have been sealed by the judge who ordered the tests after Anthony's arrest in July.

Local 6 News investigative reporter Tony Pipitone interviewed Lake Mary psychiatrist Dr. Ryan Hall, who has not examined Anthony and could not comment to her specifically, but he has studied women who have killed and their motivations for the killings.

"You have to look at the motivation -- why they're doing -- why they think they have to (kill their own child)," Hall said.

Psychiatrists focus on five general reasons, Hall said.

Altruistic, which was explained as the person doing the child a favor.

Psychotic, when the killer is having hallucinations or delusions.

Accidental, which usually result from abuse.

Revenge, getting back at someone, usually a spouse or the child's parent.

Unwanted child.

Hall said that only in extreme cases can the killer be found not criminally responsible for the death.

"You have to have a severe mental illness, and two -- due to the severe mental illness -- you have to not realize what you were doing was wrong," Hall said.

Andrea Yates, the Texas mother who is in a psychiatric hospital after drowning her five children because she said she was battling Satan before calmly reporting the deaths to police, is an example of that type of person, Local 6 News reported.

Pipitone said the prosecution of Anthony thus far seems closer to that of Susan Smith, who let a car containing her two children roll into a lake, where they drowned. Smith blamed carjackers who never existed, and she's serving a life sentence in South Carolina.

"She was interested in an individual, (and) he said he didn't want to be with a single mother. She killed her two kids. There was concealment, it was planned out, she made false statements to police, she was trying to avoid detection (and) she knew what she'd done was wrong," Hall said.

Investigators believe Anthony is concealing the location of her daughter's body.

"No more lies. No more bull coming out of your mouth. We've been very respectful. We're taking our time and talking to you, but we're tired of all the lies. No more lies. What happened to Caylee?" Orange County sheriff's Detective Yuri Melich said in a July interview at Universal, where Anthony had said she worked.

"I don't know," Anthony said.

"You do know," Melich replied.

"I don't know," Anthony repeated.

"What happened to Caylee?" Melich asked.

"I don't know where she is. That's the God's honest truth," Anthony said.

If Anthony were delusional, she would really believe that she worked at Universal and left Caylee with an imaginary baby sitter, Pipitone said. The state claims that Anthony is lying.

Psychiatrists, like Hall, routinely determine whether someone is delusional or simply deceptive.

"You have to look at what the motivation is there. Is it that they don't want to admit they're really unemployed? Do they have to let people think they're greater than they are? So there could be personality factors, (a) need for narcissism, needs to seem greater than they are. Or they could be trying to hide embarrassment or shame," Hall said.

If Anthony has no severe mental illness, there's no way she can avoid prison, if convicted, Local 6 News reported.

"People found insane go to the state mental hospital, but that's reserved for truly psychotic people. Casey just doesn't seem to fit that bill," Pipitone said. "She's not been convicted of anything, but clearly she has issues that could lead to the death penalty being taken off the table or mitigate against a death sentence if she ever were convicted."

New Documents Released

More than 500 pages of documents pertaining to the Anthony case were released Thursday by the state attorney's office.

The documents include never-before released interviews of Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony.

In an interview about retrieving Casey Anthony's car from an impound lot after it was found abandoned at an Orange County Amscot, George Anthony said the smell in the car was terrible.

"I believe that there's something dead back there, and I hate to say the word 'human,'" said George Anthony, who told detectives he knew something was wrong and was nervous to open the trunk. "I think I whispered out to myself, 'Please don't let this be my Caylee.'"

George Anthony said he also saw a basketball-sized stain on the carpet of the trunk, Arm & Hammer laundry detergent and a plastic garbage bag contaning a pizza box and maggots.

George Anthony said in the interview that the smell was so bad that he had trouble breathing as he drove the car home. He said when he pulled into the garage, his wife came out and said, "Jesus Christ, what died? It was the pizza, right?"

In a separate interview, Cindy told detectives that she was concerned someone would take the car.

"We parked it in the garage, opened everything up, took the battery out of it just in case someone came home to try to get the car. We took the battery out of it. (You) never know," Cindy Anthony said.

It was later revealed that there was never any pizza in the trunk, only the empty box, Local 6 News reported.

George Anthony also admitted to detectives that Casey Anthony lived life on the edge, but said he was shocked to hear that his daughter was partying at Fusion, an Orlando nightclub, during the first month after Caylee's disappearance.

Also, in an interview with an Orange County sheriff's detective, George Anthony said his daughter had once told him that she was robbed at gunpoint while she was working at Sports Authority. George Anthony said he confronted the manager of the store about the incident only to be told that Casey Anthony never worked there.

Casey Connection To Apartment

An interview also released on Thursday shows that Casey Anthony had a connection to the Sawgrass Apartments, where she said she left Caylee with a baby sitter named Zenaida Gonzalez before never seeing her daughter again.

Dante Salati, a friend who Casey Anthony had known since high school, lived at Sawgrass for three years. His apartment was located next to the building where Casey Anthony said she left Caylee.

Salati said Casey Anthony's last visit to his apartment was January 2007, and he had never seen Caylee at the complex.

A detective asked Salati, "Do you think if Casey would come in there to drop her child off at an apartment 500 feet away on a regular basis -- do you think you would have had some idea that was going on?"

"Yes," Salati replied.

Death Penalty Argument

Attorneys for Anthony on Wednesday urged state prosecutors not to seek the death penalty in the high-profile case, using baby photos of their client to help their cause, Local 6 News reported.

Local 6 News obtained the baby photos of Anthony that will be used by her attorneys in an effort to sway the state from pursuing the death penalty.

The photographs show Anthony as a baby, playing with her brother, Lee, and surrounded by family members.

An experienced defense attorney was recently retained on Anthony's behalf, and he's hoping the photos and his 30-page argument will convince prosecutors.

"In this case, no one knows how death might have happened, if at all," stated the document, which was also obtained by Local 6 News. "If death did occur, the death was almost certainly a tragic accident."

Anthony's defense team also raises the possibility that Caylee may have been poisoned by chloroform, saying, "Death may have occurred while the child was sedated or from an unwitting overdose of a sedative."

Anthony's attorneys are also trying to show prosecutors that their client is an unlikely candidate for the death penalty because of her age and lack of a criminal record. Attorneys said the evidence suggests Anthony was a good, loving mother but also a troubled woman who may be suffering from depression or other mental conditions, Local 6 News reported.

The defense admits that Anthony "spent money she does not have, wrote bad checks, had multiple unstable relationships and participated in risky behavior."

The request did not mention the baby sitter with whom Anthony said she left Caylee at an apartment complex before never seeing her again. But the argument is not a case strategy, Local 6 News reported, rather only an attempt to get the death penalty option off the table.

Cindy Anthony Statement

Anthony family spokesman Larry Garrison released a statement on Thursday from Cindy Anthony, a day after it was reported that her daughter's attorneys are seeking to avoid the death penalty in her Casey Anthony's case.

"I feel that a good attorney will plan for the worse case scenario and hope for the best.

"I know that Casey's attorneys know that she is innocent, but they cannot ignore how the media has already spun the facts and convicted her. Casey has been severely attacked by the media since she was first arrested, and anyone would be a fool to ignore that. All of the negative spin has done her an injustice.

"Just look at what it has done for poor Caylee. The media already has given up on looking for this child, when there is simply no credible or concrete evidence to prove that she is dead. The defense and the family will never give up on looking for Caylee.

"We continue to believe she is alive, and so should everyone else who has a conscience. I would ask anyone to ask themselves just how quick would they stop looking for someone that they loved," the statement said.

Cell Phone Pings Track Casey

Local 6 News investigative reporter Tony Pipitone tracked the movements of Anthony by using cell phone records.

Pipitone said he tracked Anthony from Monday, June 16 -- the day Caylee was last seen alive -- until Monday, June 30 -- the day Anthony's abandoned car was towed from an Orange County Amscot.

The trunk of Anthony's car had a stench that investigators claim was from Caylee's body, Pipitone reported.

According to records, Anthony's cell phone "pinged" 20 different cell towers 754 times in the two-week period. Each time, her cell phone received or sent a text message or phone call, Pipitone reported.

Ninety-seven percent of the pings were to either her boyfriend's apartment near Winter Park, her friend's home in Orlando -- where she sometimes stayed -- her parents' home off Chickasaw Trail and the Fusion nightclub, where she was photographed partying while Caylee was missing, Pipitone said.

The other 3 percent of the pings -- especially during three days in June -- have raised questions, Pipitone said.

On Monday, June 16, Anthony's father, George Anthony, said he he saw his daughter and granddaughter leave his house at about 1 p.m.

"But if they did leave at that time, the cell records show they did not go far. Casey's cell phone communicated that afternoon through the same three cell towers she could reach from her home," Pipitone said.

At 1 p.m., Anthony made a 14-minute call to her boyfriend, Tony Lazzaro. At 1:44 p.m., she made a 36-minute call to her then-best friend, Amy Huizenga. At 2:52 p.m., there was an 11-minute call with ex-fiance Jesse Grund. All of the calls used cell towers that can be reached from her parents' home, Pipitone said.

But at 4:11 p.m., Anthony began trying to reach her mother, Cindy Anthony, making four attempts in two minutes, according to records. Anthony then traveled north from her parents' home and called Lazzaro for one minute at 4:19 p.m., Pipitone reported. Two minutes later, she talked to Grund for a minute, and tried to call her mother again at 4:25 p.m., Pipitone said.

There was no other communication from Anthony's cell phone until a call was made to Lazzaro's apartment at 5:57 p.m., records show.

Two hours later, Anthony and Lazzaro were captured on surveillance video at a Blockbuster, renting a movie that contains a scene of a rotting body in a car trunk, Pipitone said.

On June 17, Anthony returned to her parents' home around 2:30 p.m., Pipitone reported. At 4 p.m., her phone pinged a tower southwest of the house near Lee Vista Boulevard and South Goldenrod Road, an area where detectives have directed Equusearch volunteers to search for Caylee weeks ago.

At 5:20 p.m., a tower was pinged near Blanchard Park, another site searched in August by Equusearch. Anthony's cell phone went silent from 5:23 p.m. until 8:23 p.m., perhaps prompting investigators to search the area, Pipitone said.

"It was then that Casey's phone pinged a cell tower near boyfriend Tony Laazaro's apartment," Pipitone said. "By then, around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, Caylee had not been seen alive for nearly a day and a half. But remember, chemical evidence in the trunk of Casey's car indictaes the decomposing body was there up to 2½ days after death, so a key question for anyone looking for Caylee's body (is), 'Where did Casey go next?'"

On Wednesday, June 18, the day Casey's parents' neighbor said Anthony borrowed a shovel and backed her car into the garage, cell phone pings show that Anthony was at or near her parents' home from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Pipitone said.

Anthony's phone later pinged a different spot near the Econ Trail, south of Lake Underhill, records show. It's also a location that detectives guided Equusearch volunteers to look for signs of Caylee's body, Pipitone said.

Equusearch will return to that area Nov. 8 to continue the search, Pipitone reported.

Scientific evidence suggests that a body left its chemical signature in the trunk of Anthony's car after decomposing for less than 2½ days, which would be about the same time period between the aforementioned cell phone pings, Pipitone said.

"Circumstantial, but interesting," Pipitone said.

Key Date Investigated

Pipitone also sifted through thousands of documents, looking into whether Caylee died on June 16, the key date in the case.

Pipitone said to understand why investigators believe Caylee is dead starts early in the morning of June 16, when Anthony called Lazzaro from her parents' house.

The 80-minute phone call ended at 1:05 a.m., and Anthony then had a conversation via text messages with Lazzaro until Lazzaro called her at 3:08 a.m.

It is not known what was discussed, but less than 10 hours later, Caylee, who was 2 at that time, was seen for the last time by her grandfather, George Anthony, Pipitone reported.

"Ten minutes to 1 (o'clock) that afternoon on the 16th is when I actually saw Casey and Caylee together -- both leaving with backpacks -- and my daughter said she was going to work, and she was taking Caylee to the nanny, to the baby sitter," George Anthony said.

Just before 8 p.m., seven hours after Caylee was last seen alive, Casey Anthony and Lazzaro are seen on surveillance video visiting the Blockbuster store near his apartment on University Boulevard. Caylee is not in the video.

Lazzaro told Local 6 News that he had not seen Caylee at that point for two weeks.

The video is one reason investigators believe June 16 may have been the day Caylee died, Pipitone reported.

"What happened in the next hours is even more intriguing. Tony (Lazzaro) and Casey rented two movies for that night. One one of them (was) 'Untraceable,' which contains a graphic scene that is even more chilling when you consider where Caylee's body may have been," Pipitone said. "The movie shows an FBI agent being pursued by a sadistic cyber-stalker who pops the trunk of a car and is overcome by the smell of a fly-infested, rotting corpse left by the killer in the trunk of the car."

Investigators believe Caylee's body was left in the trunk of her mother's car, where it decomposed, emitting an odor that Casey Anthony's mother, Cindy Anthony, identified, Pipitone reported.

"It smells like there's been a damn dead body in the car," Cindy Anthony said in a 911 call.

"Whether the movie scene is a clue to what Casey might have already done or was about to do -- or even where Caylee may have been on the same night they rented that movie -- only Casey can answer that, and she's not talking," Pipitone said.

Pipitone said he will continue to investigate the timeline into the case using cell phone records that show whom Casey Anthony was talking to or texting.

Casey Anthony's Computer Seized And Examined
As the search for 2 year old Caylee Anthony continues, investigators in the case seized and examined her mother's laptop computer and found evidence that Casey Anthony visited a number of missing children websites prior to Caylee's disappearance.

According to reports at the National Enquirer Casey Anthony was educating herself about police work following the report of a missing child.

The publication also alleged that Casey Anthony used her laptop computer to research how to make chloroform at home, a substance that can be used to subdue and kill.

Pat Brown, criminal profiler, told the National Enquirer, "The missing children’s sites are a big clue. She’s searching for answers she’s
going to give to police about why her child is missing, studying how searches for missing children are done – perhaps to learn how to hide a body so searchers don’t find it – and who she could blame for the crime. You combine that with her searches for chloroform, and her computer shows the methodology of murder — a premeditated murder plan."

Caylee is presumed dead, but her body hasn't been found. She went missing in June, but her disappearance wasn't reported to Florida officials until July. Casey Anthony told police that she left Caylee with a babysitter, but police believe that to be a lie.

DNA tests on hair found in the trunk of Casey Anthony's car were linked to a decomposing body.

Even Caylee's grandfather George Anthony, a former police officer, told investigators he had a bad feeling about the Pontiac Sunfire. He said, "I had bad vibes the very first day when I
got that car." He added "I don’t want to believe that I have, have raised someone, and brought someone in this world that could do something
to another person. I don’t want to believe that."

Casey Anthony has plead "not guilty" to first degree murder, manslaughter and other charges associated with her missing daughter.

In a separate case, Casey is accused of fraud for forging checks. Orange County Circuit Judge Stan Strickland decided that Anthony will be tried for murder before the fraud case comes to trial.
"Judicial economy may be best served by hearing the murder case first."

Truth be told, skeptic that I am of this clan.  I think they knew all along, didn't want to go further into debt for a funeral & decided to stage the sensational story of the year that could end their financial dilemna.  During the 30 day agreed upon staging time period they planted misdirection, placed internet posting that would reflect positively on them & decided what information they would provide to OCSO to fool them in order to protect themselves by being set up by KC.  Voila the 30 day CA & 31 day KC claim for time period since last seeing sweet little Caylee, the victim of them both.  GA going along, doesn't want to be homeless.  JMHO

Ok I called the hotel and she gave me a # to call to talk to TES and I spoke with Carol(I believe) and she said the easiest way to donate water is to go to the TES wbsite and click on the donate button and then shoot Barb an email to let her know how much was donated then they know how much water to buy

The Anthonys have said all along that part of the money they have collected to "search for Caylee" would be used to provide BOTTLED WATER for the searchers. THEY SHOULD HAVE A LOT OF MONEY LEFT. *****I SAY PONY UP !!!!!!!

What I don't get is how does one actually make money from this? I mean, they can get money through donations, sure... but if it's a non-profit, what exactly is the money going towards, and how do they honestly expect to make enough money for them (the Anthony's) to live on? How the heck are they paying rent for an office space? The whole thing is ridiculous. The only way they can make money is IMO to take the donations and keep them. Which would mean they could find themselves in a hell of a lot of legal trouble.
