Very upset to find out this news. I just can't believe it. There is a special place in HE$$ for people like this.

Buses and airports in the area I'm sure have or are in the process of being checked out, but Shaniya's appearance would have surely been changed, possibly even to look like a boy. My thoughts are they headed to Mexico

I think her mother only reported her missing that morning because she knew the father was due
back in town.

The way I see it at this point is he will take the kidnapping rap/sentence rather then the rape/murder. Sorry if that sounds harsh but if he had turned her over to someone else, he would have told who in order to save his butt.

yea, im having trouble with this point. i agree, i dont see why both mcneil and the EGG donor wouldn't start talking to save their own butts and hope for a better deal if they can lead authorities to a living, breathing shaniya. 

i think its also possible that they did give the authorities more information, but the problem with these human trafficking rings is that there are so many levels to them that mcneil and the EGG donor might not even know what country shaniya is even in now

My thoughts exactly too, no telling how long this child had been passed around before then, the landlord siad she had never seen the child and so did Coe, so that leads me to believe that this had been going on for awhile and the Mother just said something that morning because of the Father coming back and she knew he would want to see her..

She had only been in that woman's custody for 3 weeks.  When she was caught with McNeil on the video,
I doubt that he even knew she had been reported missing.  At least she had not been sold far out of town.
Perhaps he saw the news report about her missing while he was in the hotel room and that is why they only
stayed there for an hour.

Yep, thats  what I mean, no telling how long she had been going through this, maybe the entire 3 weeks, I dont know, but yea, I think thats what happened too, Mcneil didnt know Shaniya was being sought after until he heard it somewhere, sadly I think he disposed of her before trurning himself in.......horrible...

Exactly, I doubt very much that McNeil and mom even know where she is. The only saving grace and hope is that McNeil was sloppy being caught on surveilance camera with Shaniya, hopefully other errors were also made.

Every one of these cases seems to ramp up the horror of what is happening to children on a daily basis. Each child murdered or missing is devastating on it's own merits. But the cruelty and abuse just seems to go higher each time to levels that are beyond comprehension. Each seems worse that the last.

Every child is so precious, and a miracle..a gift from God. I can remember the feel of each of my children, their skin, their hair, their long eyelashes and their smell. I cannot even fathom such a thing happening to any of them......how can these things happen everyday on a regular basis??
Has the world really gone mad???? 

I completely agree. My children have given me more joy than I could have ever imagined too. Why can't these POS see how amazing children are? Just spend 15 minutes with a child on their level and you can see what a miracle gift they are.

IMO- McNeil gives me the creeps. But I doubt if he had any intensions of hurting her sexually he would have brought her to a hotel. I think it was a hand off location to some one else.

This just makes me sick.........this poor trusting child......this just goes to show that you cant trust anyone with your children......sometimes not even there own parent......I cant believe a Mother could be so cruel..........wonder what the 7 year old is telling them that they removed from her custody......and I heard somewhere on another board that the Mother is pregnant again...OMG...I hope not!

i dunno all the details but CPS prob had to remove the 7 year old until the investigation could be completed. i bet the home conditions also contributed to it.  whether or not the 7 year old will remain in foster care or not is dependent upon whether or not there are appropriate relative caregivers. if not the child will remain in foster care.

i would not be suprised if this woman is pregnant again.  it's pretty much standard operating procedure for these low lifes to keep having baby after baby that they can't care for or support.

I'm thinking McNeil brought her to the hotel she was handed over and was probably brought out in a large suitcase, there is no tape of her leaving is there? All these days later she could be anywhere.

She hasn't appeared in court yet.  She won't be bonded out until then.  My bet is she'll be charged with more and the bond will be increased greatly on Monday.

Thats right, I forgot she was just now arrested and hadnt been before the Judge yet!!!    Good glad she wont be going anywhere.

Mother faces charges in girl's disappearance

The mother of a missing 5-year-old girl was charged Saturday with allowing her daughter to be taken "with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude," according to police and arrest paperwork.

Shaniya Davis has been missing since Tuesday morning, when her mother reported she was abducted from her home in Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home Park off Murchison Road.

Shaniya's mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, 25, was charged at 9:12 p.m. Saturday with human trafficking, felony child abuse - prostitution, filing a false police report, and resisting, delaying or obstructing justice.

The search for Shaniya Davis continues. Asked if police think the girl is still alive, Fayetteville police Sgt. John Somerindyke said, "We sure hope so."

According to arrest documents, Davis "knowingly provide(d) Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude" and she "permit(ted) an act of prostitution."
