I know everyone in JSM's thread know I'm crazy, but I feel like such a fool in Natalee's thread, believing that he actually ate flies as a kid   LOL

Duncan Boothby, who has been Gen. Stanley McChrystal's civilian press aide for "roughly a year," has resigned, The Washington Post reports, citing an official in Kabul, "speaking on condition of anonymity because it was a personnel issue."

According to reporter Ernesto Lodono, Boothby "was the first casualty of a controversy that prompted White House officials to summon the general to the White House to explain the remarks in the profile that will appear in this week's issue of Rolling Stone."

Previously, Boothby worked for Lt. Gen. William Caldwell.

Because, really, for Mr. Obama, the most important thing, at the end of the day, is winning the war. That's why McChrystal probably won't be fired. That's probably why McChrystal won't resign. And that's why all of the actors in this drama are going to have to at least pretend to get along: there are lives at stake -- American lives, which are being lost at a rapid clip, based on the premise that the decision to extend the war in Afghanistan is to our vital national interest.

I'm serious, didn't realize it was a spoof, really thought he did eat flies as a kid. I'm embarrassed to comment over there now.

Haven't caught up over there today yet, but it would not surprise me in the least if he had done that as a child.

WASHINGTON -- Most insurance plans will soon be prohibited from rejecting coverage of children because of pre-existing medical problems, under rules governing enforcement of the 'patients bill of rights' in the new health care law.

The White House later Tuesday will release details of how the patients' provision will be implemented.

The language involving coverage of children with pre-existing conditions will be enforced for most insurance plans renewing on or after Sept. 23.

Under the new federal rules, patients also can still pick their primary doctors or pediatricians
, and prior approval requirements for emergency care will be prohibited.

The rules apply to most health plans, except in cases where they are "grandfathered" under the law.

That is good about children with pre existing medical issues. Sometimes trying to get insurance with pre existing medical issues, is almost impossible.

Are you all following this breaking news about General McChrystal, this isn't good at all.

I was watching this on Fox before work today - evidently he made some disparaging remarks about NoBama............yeah so what?  Since when is telling the truth so wrong?  Oh I forgot it is the NoBama administration - silly me, they wouldn't know the meaning of the word truth if they tripped over it.  I wonder if they will fire him?  Big mistake if they do.

A general may never do this, yes, he will be gone. They have to shut up, smile and not say bad things.

I agree, I think he will be gone.  Makes me wonder if he knew he was saying bad things and didn't care or what?  I need to go and read the interview. 

Possibly did he say all these things? Or is Rolling Stone embellishing his comments? They are a left wing rag and I won't read their stupid azz magazine.

AMEN JSM!  From what I am reading on Fox his comments IMO were not what I would call bad enough to be fired, I like McChrystal too this would not be good for NoBama if he fires him.

Hi monkeys~been out every day enjoying the beach while I can, but HAD to comment, first Mcchrystal tried for months to get O's attn about troop levels etc., theb when he finally met with him McC knew O isn't engaged and hasn't been.......HELLO, it's not like we haven't know this since he was inaugurated, hell it takes him an hour to order a burger and he's not been engaged in the war effort (especially when it comes to taking adive from boots on the ground) and he sure as he77 isn't involved in clean up of the oil spill/containment etc. Sadly we are facing a crisis of confidence in regards to the leadership/lack thereof is astonoshing and scares me to death.
