Just to lighten the air a bit, please watch this video of my new imaginary boyfriend. I never liked hockey players, but when they wear figure skates, they are SEXILICIOUS!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/v/GscWDUk3otA&hl=en&fs=1

 He is a cutie!
He is isn't he, plus he was singing the song they skated to. Bonus points for the voice.

Well, I didn't see the memorial today, but I read all that Heart was kind enough to post, and it seemed like a very nice memorial.
What I read that she posted seemed very nice. I am really glad I didn't watch it. We were on the elevator when we had got back from the cafeteria with lunch and saw my secret crush guy that is being deployed in 4 to 6 weeks. I saw him again when I was taking my Dad some lunch a couple of hours later and he rode up with me on the elevator. (he did ask why I was eating again) Monkey Devil! I told him to come say bye to us in our office because we will miss him and pray for him and he was really touched by that. The memorial was on while I was talking to him, so that is why I am glad I didn't watch it. an angelic monkey

Hey JSM, maybe my thought about your pretend boyfriend becoming your real bf will come true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gizzie I learned a long time ago the reality of trials and even if things look like there should be a conviction or a stronger sentence I go with the flow. I stopped getting mad about it, because it doesn't solve anything. The judge spoke, it was a first time offense and that is Novak's sentence, nothing I can do about it. Should she have gotten jail time, sure, but the judge saw differently. I don't believe in slam dunk cases, and I always expect a juror with an agenda in a high profile case.

It boils my blood with these high profile cases. Especially when they get just a slap on the wrist most times. But you're right, nothing you or I can do about any of it!
It really hit me hard, I watched the entire Phil Spector trial, the first one, I was so impressed with the prosecution and they put on a great case, I really felt they would get a conviction, but of course it was a hung jury. After that, I follow cases and trials and just accept what the jury or judge decides, it just does no good to get upset. Of course OJ's murder trial which I also watched faithfully, that I realize was jury nullification at it's finest, mad, oh yeah, but again what good does it do, but cause grief. I kind of figure that if justice isn't served in a court of law, down the road karma will hit hard, and I'm okay with that. Either way the person will pay for their crimes.

I never have watched hockey, but some of the hockey guys are hot
I don't watch it either, but one time I was at the rink early and couldn't figure out why there were a bunch of Mormon looking guys getting off a bus in the back. Turns out they were some NHL team that were playing the Stars and the players have to wear suits and ties on the bus to and from the hotel to the practice rink.

JSM "Mormons on Ice" would make a neat skating show, like "Disney on Ice."

Oh gosh, I know exactly what you mean with the Spector & OJ trials! I thought for sure Spector would get it first time around. But he's getting it now! I wish I had as much faith as you about the karma. But I'd much rather see them paying in this lifetime.

It would make a good show, except Mormons are really great dancers, not sure about skaters. I wish I could dance like the ones on those dancing with the star shows. JSM can't dance at all.

Hi all. I have not read back yet but thank you all for the prayers. A quick update. Oldest son came over last night as I thought he would. Sicker than a dog. Hubby also broke out in a high (104.2) fever last night. I sent then both to the emergency dept as oldest had open heart surgery when he was 15 and he had passed out twice since Sunday which he never told me about until last night. Dr told hubby he was 99% sure he had H1N1 but would not know for sure without a culture. They are keeping oldest son in hospital as his heart rate is irregular and they want him monitored. We are not allowed in the cardiac unit due to all of us either having or being exposed to H1N1.

Youngest still has a fever, but mild compared to where he was, I have been successful at keepig his fever under 102 for a full day now

Second oldest who had the collapsed lung went to work again today and he has another xray scheduled Friday to see where his lung is at.

I feel like I am going to drop as it has been one thing after another with each of the kids and now hubby. I am stressed beyond my max right now and my fever is back today as well.

JSM so glad you liked Battle of the Blades. It is going to be a good one next week.
Prayers go out to your step mom and your family.
Northern, what you must be going through is awful. I hope everyone gets better and I am praying for y'alls recovery. Get some rest and take care of yourself. an angelic monkey

When you get up to par, could you please tell me because CBC has now blocked US viewers from watching Battle of the Blades, who is left. TIA JSM

Marie-France injured her back in rehersal for Sunday and compresed two discs so could not do the final skate off as being one of the bottom two couples. The judges have let all three couples move forward to the finals on Sunday. Shae-Lynn and Claude were the top couple.

an angelic monkey My prayers are with you and your entire family. Do you have anyone that can come and help you, so you don't collapse from exhaustion?

With H1N1 in the house I don't dislike anyone enought to ask them to come on in to ground zero. I have a neighbour looking after my Mom for me right now which is a huge relief to me as I don't want her to be exposed to this.

My thoughts and prayers are with you

On the other hand if you have any friends or neighbors who have already had the H1N1 to help you, they cannot re-get the virus. dont know if anyone qualifies, just know from havin it already that you cannot get it again unless seasons or yrs from now a new strand of it goes around.

Hope all get better soon. miss ya and take care an angelic monkey

Night monkeys. I have a lot on my mind tonight and am going to try and get some sleep. I am getting a stress headache, so I am going to go to bed.

Prayers for QM, Northern and Tevye. Our computers at work are up and working so I will see you monkeys in the morning. Gonna put my flag up for Veterans/Remerance Day tomorrow.

So in honor of my Grandad that fought in Germany and the other that fought in Korea (God Rest their Souls) Soundtracks to Patton and MacArthur....

http://www.youtube.com/v/mu11QRO9BrQ&hl=en&fs=1

and last for my Uncle Peter who I swear is old enough to have fought at the Battle of Hastings, but was in Gibraltar and fought in North Africa and thankfully is still alive and a brave man! This is for you Uncle Peter http://www.youtube.com/v/mwKgwnLbwtM&hl=en&fs=1

And one more for Remberance Day for Canada, the sweet little boy that I always try to post for any reason http://www.youtube.com/v/nDMzHlkB-Yg&hl=en&fs=1

I always try to remember the people that have saved me from tyranny and I have only posted videos that I could find that were appropriate. I tried to find ANZAC Day so this is all I could find.... http://www.youtube.com/v/7a9CcNDOEAg&hl=en&fs=1 I swear that guy is Bryan Brown doing the narration.
