I have been away awhile...family stuff,,, I can't listen to JB and his interviews. He makes me gag. Just reading the summaries though, he sure doesn't have much in his corner. What I don't understand; why do these people let JB get away with this "leaking" by the prosecution crap?!!! Are they ignorant of the sunshine laws? Why don't they remind him that he was the one who opposed the gag order in the first place?  I wonder if the judge will point out his media tours and his opposition of the gag order when he goes whining for a change of venue..

Why is JM only going after Cindy? George refused to answer many questions during the depo as well....Does BC know how stupid they are making him look? Dumb is difficult but made MUCH worse if you think you are smart!!! Take note Anthony's!!!

Welcome back cuteascanbe.  Seeing as you are still wearing your Christmas finery, I agree with you it's been a while...   ::MonkeyWink::  And all your questions and comments about JB?  I think that's what many here have been asking.

Seriously, speaking for myself only, the reason I dislike Cindy so much is because I'm a grandparent to 3 little darlings. Although their fathers were here first, I will always be looking out for the grands first. They are little, their Daddys don't need me to "stand" for them anymore. But little kids need someone to "stand" with them.

Let me explain the concept of the "stand" in Grandparent terms. What that means is that when a grandkid gets into trouble with mommy or daddy, Gramma (Mimi) will help them stand their punishment. I will stand in the corner with them, or sit by the timeout chair. I will not negate the punishment Mommy or Daddy handed down, I will not tell that little darling that Mommy or Daddy was wrong. What I will do is stand with them, help them thru their punishment, all the while telling them they are loved, and discussing what it was that they did wrong, and how they can avoid this punishment again. I will hold their hand.

And the one time that I thought a Daddy went too far (rough language), I stood with my grandson till his time-out was complete. Then I politely asked Daddy to meet me in the garage. Once Daddy got there, I grabbed him by the shirt (both our boys are over 6 ft, and I'm 5 ft), pulled his face down to mine, and gave him a verbal tongue lashing. I told him that just as it had been my job to look out for him when he was little, it was now my job to stand for my grandson. (Whew! I'm getting a little worked up here...and there is a point to all this)

Why the frak didn't Cindy "stand" for Caylee? I don't believe that family knows what love is. And I KNOW they didn't deserve Caylee. God knew that, and in His infinite wisdom, called her home. He rescued her, He took a stand for Caylee. Thank God!

I think I saw last night that he is going after both of them. I want him to go after Lee too.

I think Crzy used Caylee as a fashion accessory, $pindy used her for status, George for ego stroking (Caylee wasn't old enough to realize what a fool he is) and Lee? Well, who knows what Lee did? I mean, c'mon, the dude wears blue eyeshadow! He probably just avoided Caylee.

  ::MonkeyWaa:: We have a Czech mass once a year, but we do have a Korean Church down the road. If I wake up late I may have to go there some Sunday. We do have a Polish church, but it is way over in Dallas, they have the sweetest Priest. He was at my old parish years ago.

I don't know if they were ever members of any church until Caylee went missing. At the beginning I would see a golden crucifix with a chain on Cindy and thought they were Catholic, but then the Baptist preacher started showing up.

Being Catholic with a Baptist family, I know if they were Baptist she wouldn't have a crucifix on her neck. She would have a cross pendant, but not a crucifix. But then again she was stupid enough to let her daughter wear rosary beads as a necklace. So to answer your question. I don't think they were religious until after Caylee "disappeared". JMO JSM

They did fight over Caylee all of them, George included. She was their little prize they got when they didn't expect it.

But instead of sharing the "prize" they fought over it, like little children.

This subject is so dark and twisted that it is not hard to understand the joking around, just to really keep from crying or breaking things.

Having said that, I do agree with you that she was a cute object that everyone in the family thought they owned. The sad thing is, I don't think any one of them wanted the full-time care of her. She was getting older and having the two going on three attitude. She could no longer be left in a swing, or in a playpen. She was a full time job that Casey nor Spindy or George wanted. She was really like a hot potato, being passed from one to the other. I don't even think George was living at home at the time that Casey and Caylee disappeared in June. He wasn't there for Father's day, there was no celebration. I think it was his way of getting back into the home to go to bat for Casey. He lied to the LE about chasing Casey and later said he was mistaken. I think he outright lied about seeing them on June 16. There is something very dark and strange about all these people.JMO

I was just reading your post.  I think you may be right about the part about Caylee being too big to leave in a swing or in a playpen.  I don't recall seeing that she had play dates or was going to go to a pre school.  I took my first born to pre school so he could be around other children.  I'm trying to thing how/what the Anthony's would do when  Caylee  would have started school?  Children need to be dressed and ready, taken to school and picked up every day, M-F .  It's a commitment.

Sorry Fanny, I promised I would be on topic tonight and the topic is dark and strange. I think they liked Caylee as a play thing, like a cuddly puppy. But puppies get big and want to run, play, get into things and the control freaks Cindy and George wouldn't or couldn't let her be a 2 year old. She was fine when they could keep her as a tiny baby like Paris Hilton does her little dog in a purse. But Caylee was getting bigger, stronger and wanted to play and have fun. It was all well and good if Caylee played and had fun when Cindy and George wanted to have fun and play. BUT when they didn't want play time, they shoved her back to the one person that didn't want her to begin with. That makes JSM very sad.  BUT Caylee is in a happier place now.

I hope this made some sense. My foot hurts and I am trying not to take anything but tylenol.  ::MonkeyHaHa::

Muffy, I hate to say this, but I truly believe the Ants love those two yorkies more than they loved Caylee. Caylee was never around any other children. The Ants would have stuck their heads in the sand like the ostriches  they were and thought she was either going to school  or being home schooled by KC. Just a thought, JSM.   ::MonkeyConfused::

I wrote this one night some months ago and posted it on another message thread. Since I wrote it, I guess it is alright to post here without saying where I posted. I had it on a Word document in my files. It is still true today.
I was asleep and I woke up with a start and a thought that I had to get up and put to words. I know now the thing that has bothered me so much in the back of my brain that I had not really verbalized. It came to me in my sleep.

Caylee was surrounded by adults.  Grandparents and uncle and his girlfriend, Young adult friends, neighbors, storekeepers, beauticians, tatoo artist,, casual acquaintances, everyone that made up their community. Caylee’s picture was never shown with any other child that I can recall seeing. Obviously there wasn’t any little best friend that she had or a regular play date. She wan’t enrolled in preschool or ballet. Except for an occasional mother who was a friend that had a child that kept her was all. Out of all the people she knew, each on could probably relate a little part of the story that they couldn’t quite make right in their head but just ignored it. It was just something Casey did and was none of their business, didn’t care to get involved, wasn’t there problem. They saw Caylee was not always well cared for, maybe not given the proper food, and maybe even knew that Casey had a tendency to be more enthralled with the men around and not pay enough attention to Caylee. Her friends knew she brought her to places that a child should not be but said nothing. .In places too hard for a two year old to see stuff she should’t have seen. I’m sure some knew that Casey was drugging Caylee to put her to sleep sometimes. Each had their own opinon and did nothing. Her grandparents knew she wasn’t a good mother, they said so, but they failed Caylee by the things that were happening to her in the first two years of her life. And didn’t stop it. Multiple men, unknown father, tears with an ex boyfriend because she had a miscarriage. Over drinking and indulging., stealing, and partying all while Caylee was around. There was some pretty bad situations that caylee was in. Sleeping in the bed with her boyfriend for weeks was one. And no advocates stepped in for Caylee until after she was killed. He own grandparents didn’t protect her the most, and probably her brother Lee could have done much more to help but he liked the party style too .All the adults that knew her failed her until she died. Now total strangers are her advocates. LE, searchers, lab techs,  grammas with passion, young mothers raising there on, men In all walks of life that have children and grandchildren of there own that would have done anything for her to keep her from this. This child wasn’t accidentlly run over by a careless driver, or burned up in a house, or died from a terminal desease. She should have had everything going for her, but in the end she had nothing. Not one adult ever stuck their head out and said this isn’t right and report Casey and give her consequences. Caylee is gone and now she has advocates. Back wards in my view. And all JMO

Caylee would eventually need to go to school, as required by law.  And I can't imagine KC home schooling, it takes time and effort.   I got to thinking about how busy they all seemed with their own seperate lives...

I agree with you. That is the problem with people not standing up for what is right. Perhaps if one person would have called CPS the whole thing would have turned out different.

I was listening to local news last night, and they had an expert defense attorney on talking about how Baez had an uphill battle trying to convince 12 jurors of her peers that she was not guilty.  I have to agree!

Muffy, I tried posting earlier and got locked out. Home schooling by law takes time and effort, but I think KC would have told Cindy that she was homes schooling Caylee just to keep Caylee away from other children, and to keep Caylee away from a school.

 Grandparents love to go to open house when kids are in K1 thru 1st and 2nd grade. Just my sad opinion. Sorry it took so long to post this, I almost forgot what I wanted to say. JSM

Death-penalty expert Victor Streib said there are fewer women on death row across the country because fewer women commit murder. Only about one in 10 murders is committed by a woman.

Those killings usually don't rise to the level of death-penalty cases — ones considered especially heinous, ones committed by violent habitual offenders or those committed during another crime, said Streib, a law professor at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

Society sees women as the "source of life," Streib said, and there is a general urge to protect them. Juries could be biased, finding it harder to condemn a woman to death than a man. But there are exceptions, he conceded.

Florida has executed two: Judy "The Black Widow" Buenoano in 1998 and Aileen Wuornos in 2002.

Florida currently has 392 death-row inmates.

That is why I joke around, and why many others do too, to keep from crying about the awful circumstances. I am sorry if I fill the pages with my foolishness sometimes when it is slow. It's just my coping mechanism. I will do my best to tone it down.

That being said, it is bewildering to me to see this happen to child after child, many of which we never hear of. It just goes on and on.

Thanks NR for bringing that article over.  Seems like I read something earlier this week that FL had passed some NEW laws making it easier to get a DP for parents who kill their children.  So we can hope.

JSM...I have broken just about every toe I have...(have learned to wear hard soles in the house since).  But the big toe took years to heal.  Hope that doesn't happen to you.  I have learned to have a lot of empathy for football players who get 'turf toe'.  (on the other toes..after going to the ER room about 3 times I learned to yank them back in place if they were 'jammed' or tape my own popcicle stick on 'em)  Will pray that yours heals quickly.

Well, JSM and I really really tried to stay on-topic. We even got a shout out from Muffy(aiiiii, matey!)Bee. And then what happens? The whole board locks up. Coincidence? I think not. Truth to tell, 'though I've been engrossed in Miss Caylee's case.  The fear I feel when I hear or read of yet another lost child drives me to distraction. 

Though I'm not an effective crimestopper/investigator like so many others here, ignoring the heartbreaking issue of missing and murdered kids is impossible unless I put my head in the sand and turn of the tv/radio.

Coping mechanisms are good.  Goodness knows we need them in this case (and too many others).

Caylee was the innocent one. KC thought she cramped her lifestyle, she had reason and motive to do the deed. I really can't see a man killer having a heart sticker around and to put it on her mouth. This is all KC's doing!!

 OJ got lucky.  It was right on the heels of the Rodney King outrage, riots and race was the key issue. Ignorance was rampant, IIRC one juror said that she didn't believe in DNA/forensics because she had a false/positive on a pregnancy test!
I don't think that could happen in this case in a million years!   JMO

I fully agree.  I stated a few days ago that as Caylee's vocabulary grew so did her liability factor to Casey.  She could spill what was really going on every day her vocabulary grew and Casey had to stop it or she was going to get outed by her own daughter.  I also stated that Bobo highlighting that there were 17 other hairs found in the trunk by HIS expert Dr. Lee is a real putz move.  One deathband is all you need.  The person does not miraculously come back to life after the deathband has formulated.  17 hairs is very excessive IF in fact they are all Caylee's in the trunk.  Cindy (God bless her herculean mouth) stated that Caylee was never ill so they can rule out apolecia or other diseases that would cause excessive hair loss.  Sorry but 17 hairs concentrated in a trunk is far too many for natural shedding unless Caylee spent lots of time in that trunk.

On another note Boo I so appreciate your writing.  My silly former MIL went off the deep end one day when she went to use her good silver and the tips of all the knives had blackened.  She was ready to write a very nasty letter to the manufacture in the UK when I pointed out that it was not a defect by manufacturer but rather a tool used to hot knife and she could not fathom that her youngest 18 year old son could do such a thing.  Then I had to explain what hot knifing was.

OJ used to be a likeable celebrity.
He had a dream team and the race card was played.
Plus the crime scene wasn't handled properly, there could have been cross contamination from the previous crime scene Furman was at.
Casey is not likeable. She won't take the stand so her bs won't work. Baez is not likeable. LBK is not likeable. Todd M ??? I don't know about him.
Henry Lee has disgraced himself in the Phil S case. And I don't think he " bonds " with  juries. Hopefully he will just make a cameo and whatever he says will be long forgotten by the verdict time. Baez has no defense, he will just try to attack the evidence the SA has.

Not only are they going to have to know their stuff, they are going to have to present it to a jury in a human and believable manner. They are likeable and so is the ME, Dr. Jan G.

Saw there was some sort of drama I guess a bit after I posted, whatever it was kudos to admin/mods that took care of it swiftly...but this touched me profoundly so Im reposting it, something I never normally do.

Yea sweetie, I was reposting something that touched me earlier this evening & wanted to share...sometimes the violence on children gets a bit heavy for the heart & I was reflecting  Why, my goodness stop the insanity!

Strategy, hmmm   Well, a main point I'd make (there are many)  is that when George & Cindy went to pick up Casey's car at the tow yard and both denoted the smell of death why they didnt call 911 right then and there, wouldn't anyone within reason...I contend yes.  Both George & Cindy had told various people in that month that they had concerns why they hadnt seen or spoke to Caylee, but both talked to or saw Casey.  If they didnt suspect their daughter did something to Caylee specifically they probably would have  called 911 too.   Instead they go home begin to clean out the car, Cindy laundered & then sent Casey's pants to the dry cleaners.   Against her co-workers advise the same day she did not call 911 then either but she did send a message to Casey "Call me asap...major problem."   Tony & his roommate both gave a sworn statement that Casey was on her computer while they watched a baseball game when Cindy & Amy showed up...I think this shows that Casey did indeed erase as much as she could on her computer due to her mother's text warning her something was up...Lee showing up not being able to access it backs that up.   Why is that important?...it shows premeditation on Casey's part & exposes her parents immediately willing to cover up what she did.

Another key issue for me is the death band hair versus the defense's disclosure that Dr. Henry Lee found 17 hairs in the trunk of the car after Casey's car was processed.   The defense wants to argue a sloppy job by CSI & discredit the one death band hair, however, my contention is that if 17 hairs from a live person were in that trunk one has to wonder why an individual was in the trunk because via transfer (from a blanket, clothes, whatever) 17 random loose hairs is too much - so the question is if they were Caylee's hair, what was she doing in the trunk?   As far as I'm concerned they overshot their planted evidence, probably got hairs from Cindy for the hairbrush she should have turned over to OCSO but bragged she didnt.   We all know Dr. Henry Lee has been caught altering the evidence, Phil Spector's trial specifically & was admonished by the judge in open court...right back at ya Bozo.

hello monkeys, I know you are all asleep still.  Excellant points like always ms cappacinno.  The cover up began from that point, cleaning out the "stinking car".  So when will they both go back to work?  Are they on government benefits?  Or living off caylee interviews, and pictures still?  We had an unusual sight here in my hometown, rain, and lots of it.  Its been so long since I saw rain.  OT, I live in the driest state, in the driest continent, in the world.  The heavens have opened for us.  I slept 24 hours straight, trying to shake this lung infection, and feeling better.  my darling son called me today.  He fell off his bike and has a crushed shoulder, and will be off work for eight weeks.  I said "Come home to Mummy", but he said no, his Girlfriend is taking good care of him.  I've been replaced  ::MonkeyWaa::

The Anthonys were on CBS Early show soooooo......Even though they say "we don't pay for interviews".....Well we all know there is a back door somewhere where the money slips under.  Aside from that...Who knows???

Maybe Casey left some money untouched in Cindy's 401k, but between George and Casey sucking her dry she might not have much left.  I know people don't like her ways but it's no wonder she is wacky. Imagine going to work every day; building a nest egg; keeping house and watching a grandchild 90% of the time and then it all disappears at the hands of your very own husband and daughter!! 

It would probably put me over the edge.

Im doing a bit better, lately, all i seem to do is whine.  i apologise, life is looking up, just stress prolly had a lot to with my health this time.  I dont know a lot about crushed shoulders, or AC Joints, but thats what my son has, all they can do is sling his arm.  he will for the first time in his life, have to rely on government benefits till he can return to work.  he is a chef, and it is his right arm he cant use.  Maybe he be able to go back to work in a week if the pain gets better, i dunno.  kids, they worry you sick.  its harder for me, cos he is living in another state.  He is 20.  I havent met this girl yet, she isnt living with him, my son lives in a tent  ::MonkeyHaHa::
The rain is just what our farmers needed, nice and steady, it will really help them.  I dont have any sympathy for cindy, sorry, she coulda nipped that problem in the bud years ago.  Same as if george was sifling her money, she coulda kicked his butt out that door.  She enabled casey, and I think she had control issues, and held things over her family, instead of stopping the bad behavour.  I also, do believe she was trying to do the same thing by "owning caylee"  a real OCD case right there with Cindy.  However, she failed in her cause, and had no real "mothering" skills, or she would have made sure caylee was OK from day one when she disappeared out of her life.  I still believe this is the only the defense Casey can have.  Not that she deserves it.  She is a murdering, selfish, cold hearted bytch and baby killer.  If Casey was a good mom, she woulda left the prison of Cindys home, got her life together, and made caylee number one, and set herself up any way she could, to escape cindys domineering.  They all failed caylee IMO. 
The money is blood money, and Id rather die before I spent a cent of it, if this had happened to me.  Just MOO

Hi trim, yeah thats the thing with DP.  Takes years to carry it out, meanwhile, the convicted lives in protected custody.  I did hear Florida was 15 years wait.  Appeals etc, because it is true, some are on death row who are actually innocent.  I am all for the DP, dont get me wrong.  But for cases like this, where all evidence leads to Casey, sentence her to death a week after trial.  Im hard, yes thats true, but save tax payers money, when cases as slam dunk as this, a flick of the switch, saves so much money, and also will make the next baby killer think twice before they kill their own flesh and blood.  Snotty peterson should have had death a week after the trial.  Why have DP, when it obviously means a life in protected custody for 20 or so years?

It's nothing really mysterious. The way I understand it, there was a new poster by that name and he/she was posting inappropriate posts in quite a few threads. The mods locked up the threads, deleted the posts and waited until Klaas got here so Klaas could ban them.

"Fla. inmates, families upset about snack prices

Having to pay more for Honey Buns and other prison snack shop items has made inmates at Florida prisons and their families upset.

Having to pay more for Honey Buns and other prison snack shop items has made inmates at Florida prisons and their families upset.

The state, which has the nation's third largest state prison system, raised prices about three weeks ago under a new contract with an outside company. Since then, the department has gotten approximately 60 phone calls and letters from families complaining about the increases.

"The prices have increased dramatically," one inmate's family wrote in an e-mail to the department signed "concerned family." "We have to send money to our loved one and now he can hardly buy anything substantial. Please can we fix this?"

Officials are working with the company that provides the goods and sets the prices at Florida's about 130 prisons to see if some prices can be lowered, Department of Corrections spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger said Friday. Prices at the snack shops, called canteens, were last changed in October. While it's not unusual to get complaints when prices increase, Plessinger said there seem to be more this time.

"Prices are going up everywhere," Plessinger said. "We're sympathetic to them, but it's tough on everyone."

Prices went up March 30. Peanut M&Ms and Snickers bars jumped from 66 cents to 89 cents. A can of Coke that used to cost 57 cents now costs 89.

But the price increase that has prompted the most outrage is on Honey Buns. The old price for the cinnamon pastry with icing was 66 cents. Now it's 99 cents. A chocolate variety of the sweet went from 61 cents to $1.49.

The department is looking at possibly substituting another less-expensive brand, Plessinger said.

Also up: cigarettes. A pack of Marlboro cigarettes used to cost $3.70 but is now $4.47 - an increase of 77 cents. The increase is, in part, the result of 62-cent-per-pack federal sales tax increase that went into effect April 1. Prisons in other states also reported increasing their prices on cigarettes as a result.

Money from canteen sales goes into the state's general fund, about $30 million last year according to the department. The prices have to be in line with what the general public pays for goods.

The department contracts with Missouri-based Keefe Commissary Network to supply the commissaries. Mark Jensen, senior vice president of Centric Group, Keefe's parent company, said the nationwide supplier of products to correctional facility commissaries doesn't comment on current customers or contracts.

Inmates use a plastic ID card that works like a debit card to buy items. Some prisoners have jobs that pay a small amount, but most money is deposited in an inmate's account by family members.

Jill Lopez has two young children and a fiance in prison in Raiford in north Florida who she sends between $20 and $40 a week.

"I can't send him any more. There's no way," said Lopez, 46, a Fort Pierce secretary who makes $12 an hour.

Lopez's fiance, Fred Whyms, 39, has about two years left in prison for dealing in stolen property. He told her inmates are extremely frustrated with the price increases and that some items are going missing.

"They're all freaking out," Lopez said in a telephone interview. "You have grown men that are hungry. What's going to happen? There're going to be more fights. People are going to crankier."

In some places that has already happened, according to Charles Norman, an inmate serving a life sentence at the Tomoka Correctional Institution in Daytona Beach.

"Prisoners whose families sacrificed to send them money to buy sweets, drinks, food items, and toiletries were getting assaulted, and their canteen bags taken from them," he wrote in a newsletter e-mailed to friends. "The strong ones armed themselves."

In an e-mail, Department of Corrections spokesman Alex Thompson said they had not gotten any complaints that the price increases resulted in abuse."

Give them staples only.  Inflation is going on now on the outside world, suck it up, dont order smokes, or order smokes, and give up your honey bees.  You are in prison for a reason, and even in 'THE REAL WORLD"  the term is INFLATION.  Hard workers are getting laid off, prices are going up, taxes are increasing.  Prisoners, suck it up, you better start contributing to society to help cover the tax payers increase.  I just cant understand this, quit the whining and start to realise our world is in a recession.  Its not about you all criminals paying a buck more for a snack or a few bucks more for ciggies, GET NONE.  Eat staples for the rest of your lives in there, you are all wasting tax payers funds.  On the outside, we are all struggling too.  Its an economic crisis, and if we had no criminals, that tax payers keep supporting, we on the outside would  be suffering a lesser economic downfall.  So stop whinging, and instead thank the tax payer for keeping you in there.  Harsh I know, but Im so over bleeding criminals hearts.

Hi JSM, thanks for that info.  Im wondering where their money is coming from.  my son wont come home, he is in a different state from me, and in a way, it kills me, but it also is making a man out of him.  I did a great job of bringing him up "MY WAY"  work hard, be caring, and be ambitious.  I did well. 

At "my" jail, there is no smoking allowed, anywhere on the whole property! Once I start my internship, I'll have to get in my van, and drive down the road for a smoke break!

Also, a certain percentage of the money made on inmate commissary orders is used to pay for cable tv. I think that's awesome! The county residents don't have to pay for the inmates' entertainment, and the inmates have something to do. It seems fair to me. I have no idea how much a HoneyBun costs, interesting to see that in Florida, they pay as much for 1 as we pay for a whole box of them at Walmart!

I totally agree Lucinda. And we pay for there room and board and food while in prison. I just can't believe they are complaining about the price of cigarettes. They raised prices here in Texas from about $4.50 a pack to over $6.00 in less than two months. I guess it pays to be a criminal in prison, cheaper ciggies and cokes are cheaper in prison than out of a machine in the real world.  ::MonkeyNoNo::

Whinning about price changes at the jail...'are you kidding me??'  I'd love to pay 89 cents around here for a can of coke.  If I were to buy M&M's here I'd pay well over $1.  It makes me so angry when these people in jail start complaining about stuff like this.  Hey, it isn't the Ritz.  You're in jail for a reason, dudes.  Whatever company is providing the food has every right to raise prices, it's happening in the stores all the time.  Times are getting hard on everybody so why shouldn't the canteen food people raise prices to cover their expenses, too!

Have a great day JSM.  Thanks for adding to my post.  Thanks too Brandi.  I tell you, prison in USA and AUS is very similar.  My brother spent 6 months in an Australian prison, he deserved it, cos he has my dad's temper.  I went to visit him, and he looked so good.  The prison had him on a weight training program, that I can tolerate.  When he got out, he was a very fit, muscular, and also a good fighter.  Prison life fed his aggression really.  Made him fitter and stronger, that he works along side my dad now.  I hate my brother and my dad.  They are bad people.  I have mum, and a younger brother, who are clean, but they are always in my face.  I am good, never did any crime, but i am very outspoken, and prolly always say too much, but I am a good and honest person.  Just got landed with a screwed up family.  The proof is in my son, an honest and hard worker, and he can always talk to me about anything.  Thats the difference between me and my screwed up family, my son and I are very close.  i brung him up with respect for others, and a hard work ethic.  He has made me proud, even if he has a GF  ::MonkeyHaHa::

Brandi, we did too.  We just recent got verizon...but my kids never had cable growing up and all their friends in school had it and used to talk about tv shows (well, even the grown ups would ask us if we saw so and so show) and no, we only had the four network channels and a few vhf channels.  If the prisoners want to complain about prices, let them trade in the cable!!

George and Cindy Anthony probably should pass on this week's episode of  NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Some details are just too close to the story of their daughter, Casey, who is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee.

The three series in the "Law & Order" franchise borrow from the headlines, and this "SVU" lifts liberally from the Anthony saga to establish a plot.

Let me count the ways:

1. A grandma (Gail O'Grady of "NYPD Blue") goes to detectives about her missing granddaughter and complains, "The car smells like a dead body."

2. The child's mother (Hilary Duff of "Lizzie McGuire") alleges that a babysitter took the little girl. And that babysitter is named Maria Hernandez or Fernandez. (We meet the young mom as she cleans out her car trunk and blames the stench on spoiled meat.)


3. The detectives' boss asks what kind of mother goes off to party and leaves her kid with a woman she barely knows.

4. The young mother steals and buys a shovel.

5. The young mother has been lying since the day she could talk, and she won't grow up, her mother complains. Grandma O'Grady announces that he has demanded that lazy Duffy find a job -- and even cracked the young woman in the mouth.

6. Pictures of the young mom partying surface. "I'm young. I'm allowed to have fun," Duff says.

Then this "SVU" goes off on a tangent far removed from anything in the Anthony case. The plot shift allows the series to weigh in on a serious issue -- one that has nothing to do with the Anthony case.

But then the episode circles back to the Anthony case in a shocking way that echoes the headlines.

It's an ending that sticks with you -- and one that George and Cindy would do well to miss.

You are in prison, cos you broke the law, and you only have yourself to blame.  Toughen up, learn your lesson, and actually, my real advice is GROW UP.  Take away all their privs, no snacks, no smokes, in the deep by and by, will be the best for them.

I agree. If it's a choice between Diet coke and fruit...well, let's just say if I ever need an IV, they better just run it from a can of Diet Coke. And as for Little Debbie snacks, they are fattening. Smokes are not.

Wasn't there a case where the defense tried to say that a Law & Order show either influenced their defendant, or tainted the jury pool? I'd say this show will do more to taint the jury pool than all the bloggind and newscast...much bigger audience.

That being said, I'd PAY to sit outside the Ant property the night this is shown (on the public strip of grass (easement, right of way Georgie!) just to listen to the explosions sure to occur when this is aired. Of course, I can't afford a trip to FL, and don't usually watch this show, but I will watch this one. I love Gail O'Grady, she was the bestest "liberated" mom on "American Dream".

I love all three of the Law And Orders, can't wait to catch SVU on Tuesday.

Fruit? What's that? Diet Coke, ciggies, beer for me Tevye. I pay $50 a bag for Josef's dog food. It usually lasts about two weeks. I get lucky though, when another dog that eats the same food leaves their food at daycare and doesn't pick it up, they give Josef the left overs. They know it's hard on me to send him to daycare, pay for his expensive food and plus the girls at daycare love him as much as I do. For that I give thanks! Have a great Sunday gotta run to Mass. I've was just thinking about the actions of C&G, obviously they surmised the fate of Caylee quite early on, I have no doubt about this. They know their daughter well enough that they began the cover up early, not only that but they were open and in LE's face about it. Cindy even mentions this to LE saying "I hope I didn't do anything wrong" but I washed the clothes... We of course knew they were aware of exactly what they were doing, one was in LE the other is a nurse.
At this point in the investigation C&G are in full protection mode, ignoring the fact that their sociopath daughter murdered her baby and their grandchild, they are openly trying to pin the crime on innocent people. This is a moral crime at the very least, to save their mentally fractured maladjusted offspring they are willing to implicate anyone. They would rather see that emotionally +++++++ waste-of-space home with them and let someone else rot in jail or receive the DP. Indeed that is what they are working for, KNOWING their daughter is guilty the whole time: I'm struggling for the right words to express the contempt I feel for these people but, I JUST CAN"T FIND THEM.
If they ever had a moral compass, they lost it, these are pitiable excuses for human beings.

Lucinda, did you miss my post about your career? I really want to know why you have to wear an orange jumper that makes you look...uh...less than flattering. And, if CSI is your goal, I want to be able to say, when you have your own show on the Discovery Channel or TruCrime channel, I knew you when. (Also, my sis is an EMT-S, I helped her study for all her exams, and am in awe of what they have to keep in their heads! Oiy to the vey, the math they have to know! Scary)

And when George picked up the car, he commented to the impound yard guy that he hadn't seen his daughter or granddaughter in a long time. Now, why would you tell a total stranger that? Well, I guess, to be fair, you might be saying that to explain why the car was there. But, could it be George already knew...and was trying to set the guy up as a witness, just in case George opened the trunk and there was a body there?

And why open the trunk at the impound yard? Is that SOP, or was it because the smell was so bad? What? THERE WAS NO SMELL...according to later statements by the Ants.

seriously, i don't know why they can't make prisoners work gardens and raise their own food to eat instead of us having to feed them. personally i would love to see the maggot find out what real 'hoeing" is about.  i think it would go a lot further in rehabilitating them than anything else.  it is a great feeling to plant a garden and care for it, then serve it for dinner.  let them raise their own chickens and gather eggs.......sorry i will stop my OT now

Just have to comment on the whiners in prison about the food prices. KC has more money in her commisary fund than I spend on groceries in 3-4 months. I don't remember the last time I bought a single coke for $.57. Here they are at least a dollar. Cigarettes are $5.00 a pack. I don't have cable , can't afford it. Rent, electricity, water , have to be top priority. My one luxury is a phone and internet. And thank God for Medicare part D. Just got my medicine bill for the last 3 months. $6,742.22. They get free meds and free Dr. visits. STHU already.

Why do the prisons in Fla. not have gardens? They could grow their own fruits and veggies year round. I have to buy canned fruits. Can't afford the fresh ones.

I grew up the hard way. You had to work for what you wanted and needed. We were taught to not waste. I can take one chicken and feed 15 people. Prisoners have more luxury than most of us who have worked our whole lives to have what we have. Oh Geesh.......this just pizzes me off.

Oh My Gosh where to start.  First off it is a prison.  Remember that is supposed to mean punishment for something you did.  What ever happened to the good old days where the chain gangs would actually work for their meals ands still contribute to society in some way.  With all prisons being overpopulated perhaps the conditions are no longer a deterant to going there? 

Smoking is not allowed in any of the jails up here.  I agree, it is not a necessity of life it is a luxury if you are in jail.  If you walk free then do what you want but I go back to punishment and jail theory.

The rise in prices and outcry is laughable.  I am currently pretty far north.  A few years ago we lived even farther north in a quaint little place on Baffin Island.  Everything arrives by air and not very often.  There was one main place to buy groceries.  We were paying 7.99 for a copy of the NY Times, 10.00 for a 12 pack of coke, 27.00 for a box of laundry detergent and if it were on sale 5.00 for a can of stew.  Fresh fruit and veggies were extremely expensive and friends and relatives would send us care packages of stuff like oranges, peppers, potatoes etc as they were just too expensive to buy. The town would be on full lockdown when the not so random polar bear would be cutting through it.  I say send the whole Ant family up there to film a documentary. 

Actually, most of our local prisons and jails do have gardening programs. They grow the food, they help cook the food, and they surely enjoy eating the food. I guess, in my state, the prisoners are not such suckers on the state's teat.

Thanks (for the poll). Around here, they keep our prisoners pretty busy. I think that's a smart thing to do, based on security levels, of course. Prisoners do street cleanup and landscaping, grow gardens, and do all the cleaning in their jails. Keeping them busy gives them something to do besides sit in their cell and stew, or fight with each other, and maybe gives them some training for life after the bars.

As for Casey, I imagine her job, once she gets to general pop (crossing fingers), will be "Pole Dancing for Profit"!

I hope she is out breaking rocks with a sledge hammer, and all the other fun things that prisoners did in the old movies.

Arson forensics.  It will take me a while, because I am doing it thru first becoming a volunteer fire fighter, but I can do that in six months.  Then, they will sponser me to arson forensics.  I didnt even think about this, till Josh's death, and his dad had a talk to me how I wanted to become a criminal profiler, and he suggested this way, and he said he knew I would be good at it.  I never considered arson forensics ever before.  Actually, I was thinking of 26 thousand dollar course (government paid) to become a profiler, but that meant Id have to do 2 years full time study in law.  This way, I dont have to do law, (I will, but not 2 years)  Email me, and if you dont believe me, I will give you the head of cfs here, email addy, and you can ask him for yourself.  Not much more I can do to prove myself.  One thing I hate is liars, and I am not one, and can prove it all.

This is what the Anthonys get for going to the media early on with a heap of lies and antics, to date they have continued along with the defense team trying to sway public opinion & pollute the jury pool.  The State requested a gag order many months ago but due to the very liberal interpretation of the Sunshine Law that Florida uniquely has,  Judge Strickland decided that there were not factors in this case that met the criteria to seal records (minus Casey's psy evals & tests, autopsy photos & later George's suicide note).

I have no concerns about what this episode will be accused of tainting the jury pool, nor the defense's reason for change of venue - it has been the Anthony family & the defense that booked all these national tv appearances & couldn't resist making public statements under the local media's lights & cameras.  There is such a thing as "no comment."  As far as their sworn statements had they told the truth & not tried to implicate other innocent people nor put forward fake "live sightings" while knowing otherwise this case would not be in the news every day & a script writer for a TV show may have not been inclined to base a story surrounding the facts in this case.    Now, its biting them in their sorry @$$eS and IMHO its just the beginning of what they deserve!!

On another topic this morning regarding prices increasing in Florida's commissary, too bad so sad...the entire country of law abiding citizens are suffering worse so stick that in your honey bun!

That's a good idea, I don't know what's all involved with forensic firefighting, so that would be interesting.

My hubby and I were just talking about this today - he hangs with some strange online people that are sure the world is going back to the great depression - got to wonder. But perhaps if we cut out the cable tv for the prisoners we can cut taxes and afford diet coke and bread!

With all of the children who have been killed/and or disappeared recently, it is just unbelievable to me that SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE in a place of authority has not come up with a law or a bill or something to make the punishment so GREAT that these jerks (be they male or female, relative or not) SCARED to do it again! Why is it more illegal to kick a police dog than it is to hurt a child?? That was the response of LE here in NC when we reported the abuse of my granddaughter to them. No one from the whole entire LE community even talked to my Daughter in law who was the one abusing her. The most unreasonable comment I heard was that because she was the caregiver and married to the dad, they couldn't step in unless it was more serious! She had beaten the then 5 yr old in the head with a spaghetti server till it broke and the baby was bleeding. The marks were clearly visible on her head and I have the pics to prove it!! My son  and d-i-l's sis took my granddaughter to the police station and made the report and there was another baby in the home who was being carried by the leg and neck and tossed in her crib (5 months old). D-i-l was screaming at the kids and unreasonably critical of everything and everyone. She would not "allow" older granddaughter to even sit on her furniture or watch her tv. Made her stay in her room all the time. (This lasted about 3 months-when I got wind of it, after noticing the personality change in granddaughters) I TOOK older granddaughter from their home and dared them to come get her! I found out how very badly Audrey had been treated AFTER I took her!! I made sure son was aware of it all and they separated (Audrey is his from another relationship and he has had custody since before she was two) for a year! He had both girls every weekend and Audrey all the time. Daughter-in-law had to accept that she was angry at the world and agree to get help before they got back together. They accomplished that about 2 yrs ago. I admit that I did not want them back together-but, alas, I am just the nana  and I got no say! Today they live with me because I do not trust her not to be mean again. We mostly live in peace but do have "incidents" once in a while. In August or September, they are moving out on their own again. I fear for my GD but have no choice! She has learned to stay out of her reach and to keep to herself more. And she is now nearly 10 and younger GD is nearly 5. They are more able to voice the things around them and I have told them (and shown them) that they are loved and will ALWAYS be able to come to me with anything!! I have reservations about d-i-l ability to be the "mom" still....but she has grown in her parenting skills and I hope that she continues growing and does not revert back to bad behavior which I am sure is tempered by MY presence. She knows I will NOT tolerate any kind of abuse! I have flat out told her so and also told her it is my opinion that a child abuser does not deserve air to breathe!! I have tried so hard to not undermine the parents but they still KNOW that if they slip I will be right there!! It was a hard time and I do not think that it is right that a step-parent has the right to treat a young child so badly! It is sad that the laws allow that to go on! I have been in touch and campaign loudly with all child abuse agencies in our state since this happened to our family. They all know I will fight to the death for these kids!! (My son and wife know, I mean) I am trying to make them see that kids are not meant to be used and abused but loved and cherished as the gift from GOD that they are! I have tried for these last 2 years to teach my d-i-l the skills for dealing with stress and childhood tendencies to do the wrong thing. It has been very hard at times, but I felt that I had to do it for my grandbabies sakes! Audrey and Jenna are too sweet and precious to have to live in fear and I have done all I could to assure they will never know it again! I did not (and sometimes still do not) like my d-i-l very much. I let her move into my home anyhow because at least then I could KNOW these babies were being treated right and had all they needed! It cost me my marriage but it was still worth it to me! The kids have a fighting chance now that they would not have had! I wonder how G&C can live with the consequences of their failure to keep precious little CAYLEE safe? After my own experiences, I am just disgusted with the behavior of those two so called grandparents! I KNOW I would never have acted in the way they have. I KNOW I would have found my daughter and my granddaughter after the first couple of days! I would have made it right with the daughter to get the baby back home and then talked it out with the daughter somehow!!! I KNOW I WOULD HAVE DONE THIS!! It just makes me so angry that casey was allowed (Yes, I know she is grown) to go for that long without some kind of contact with the baby! It seems to me that though they claim they loved Caylee, they deserted her when she needed them most of all!! It just breaks my heart! How could they not have known?????

I'm right there with you!! I HATE going grocery shopping and will usually go down to the last envelope of Cup A Soup before I step into a grocery store. The only things I can't do without is GF International Coffee -Belgian Hazelnut, my smokes, t-paper and of course dog food, my babies gotta eat before I do!!!

I just can't believe the ant family.  They're all full of the pure devil.  I must have led a sheltered life because this family has my head spinning everyday.

Teaching 2nd graders and dealing with little "fires" that have to put out is draining.  When I get home I read SM to get caught up.  I hope that is ok with all you smart Monkey's.

The reason about the law is that there are already laws on the books. But in order for laws to make things work, they have to be mutually agreed upon society. But these people who do these things either don't think the law applies to them, or just plain don't care. I think, in the case where a person abuses or kills a child just once, that maybe a switch flipped in their head. Maybe, for just that one second, they didn't care what the consequences of their actions would be.

As for serial abusers, I don't think they can be fixed. They all need to be sent to an island and made to spend the rest of their lives there. Sorta like "Survivor", except they know no one will ever vote them off the island.

And for the people who kill just one kid? Like Casey? Well, they only took one life, they should just give one life: their own.

jammsnana what a wonderful person you are, and what you have all gone through. Your granddaughters must adore you. I have no grandchildren, but I can guarantee I would do what you did. Nobody would get away with abuse of a child or animal in front of me. I have no idea how George and Cindy allowed this, with no contact with Caylee for a month, knowing full well something was very wrong. I do hope that Cindy and George have a life of pure hell going on inside their heads, and the only escape will be when they die. :smt056

In the article about the SVU episode, and George and Cindy, would be better off not watching. I'm guessing the ending will be the prosecution of the grandma for lying and obstruction charges.

Thanks ya'll for the good thoughts! I did ACT immediately when my granddaughter was in jeopardy! I have NO regrets about it. I love my kids but I am absolutely gaga over the top about my grandkids!!! I have 8!!! My daughter has 5 kids and my son has 3! His son lives in OHIO though and we only see him sometimes! It was really hard when they (son's family) moved in with us as I had such strong ..ummm...dislike for the daughter in law. But I did it for the kids! It has worked out and things are greatly improved! She has parenting skills and even tells me she loves me now. She does know without a single doubt that I would believe the kids over her if abuse was in doubt. She knows I would call the cops and social services and even if I went to jail, (for beating her to a pulp!),  the kids will never be harmed!! She has been much better for the most part and only slips once in a while now. She tries more than ever to be a better wife and mom. And I am proud of her because I know it has not been easy living in my house when she knew how I felt about her (esp. at first!) Now, we live happy and the kids are happy and loved!!!! NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!!!

Darla, the State prison in Huntsville the prisoners grow their own food, they have their own herd of cattle for beef, etc. BUT it is like a real farm with farm equipment, so basically they are "working" they way I would want them to work. I want them to be digging their gardens with a teaspoon and only get to eat what they can grow. No nothing special. If it ain't in season and didn't come from their prison farm, they can do without. Yes and even with the Northern Living Allowance it did not cover the extra costs to fly in groceries.  Polar bears were common, especially in spring.  I say the Ants should go up as the 4 part documentary.

Sorry for your horrible experiences with your dil, I think for a fact G & C knew something was wrong, just chose not to deal with it because they did what they always did with KC. They let her do as she pleased, because they were stupid pansy jerks afraid of their own daughter. JMO JSM

I am FIERCE and can be downright SCARY if these kids are not treated with love and caring! All their lives, they have known love and just because they have a "bad time" dealing with life's ups and downs is no excuse for treating a small child badly! It is totally unacceptable to me and will not be tolerated! My daughter in law has had some parenting classes cause I paid for them..and made sure she could go to them. We struggled for a long time trying to work out our differences in child rearing and what is and is not "good" parenting. We butted heads a lot at first and had many, many arguments...but because I cared enough and took the time to make it easier for her to accept help...we got the help she needed and things are so much better! She still has anger issues but she is working on them and trying which is a far cry from how it was before! She is trying to make her own way with help from my son and me. We discuss issues right when they occur and do not let the kids see that there is an issue if that is possible. Sometimes it is not possible so we discuss and then talk to the kids and explain why there was an issue at all. The hardest part is making myself stand back and let them make the mistakes all parents make. I have had to really back off since I want them prepared and ready to do the parenting on their own when they move out of my house. I dread the move but believe it is time for the break unless I make the choice to live with them forever. I cannot do that. I work nights and they are doing days so I need a place of my own and they need a place of their own to put all the skills they have learned to good use. They want me to move with them but I need a new start myself. I am recently divorced and want to live alone-something I have never done. I will have a room for the kids to come stay over on the weekends, but I need a place to call mine!!

The Anthony's are a breed apart from most humans. If one of my grandkids have a bruise, this grandma ask where it came from. Not that I think either of my kids would hurt their kids, but you never know who else might do it. I talk to my grandkids at least every two to three days. Even if it is only on speaker phone. Cindy and George should be so ashamed of themselves for not standing up for that sweet baby, but NO they are living off of her death. And I can't even ask God to have mercy on their souls.

Thanks to all who have commented on my situation with my daughter in law and my granddaughter! I am happy that things have turned around and she is better with the kids. It helps me sleep better at night to know I do not have to worry so much. Did I mention that it got so bad that one night I dreamed my granddaughter was standing at the foot of my bed and it was so real and so heart-wrenching that I had to go over to their house and see if anything was going on! It was ...but I didn't find out till a month later! How scary is that? At that time, I was unaware of the abuse. It made me more aware and made me watch more for signs something was wrong!! How could C&G NOT KNOW????????????

Okay Capp - I am going to give away our prosecutorial strategy.

We are going to have 12 people on the jury who WILL have heard of and/or formed an opinion about this case.  Move it anywhere in Florida, and it will be the same.  I put the blame squarely on the defense.  I believe they are gunning for a mistrial based on not finding a neutral jury.  Okay, I guess we have to deal with that, and hope Judge Strickland stays above the fray.

The problem with the OJ jury was with the science.  Say what you will about Johnny Cochran and company, they did what they had to do.  But the DNA science was not as understood as it is today.  Almost every lay person has heard of it, and has a basic understanding about what it means.

But throw away all of that for a moment as we focus on two critical hurdles the defense has.

First, they have to point the finger at someone...anyone.  Ricardo, Amy, Ghandi...anyone.  But there is a big problem with that.  How did Caylee get out of the custody of KC?  Did she give her to someone?  Was she taken by someone?  If that was the case, why did KC not scream bloody murder?  If it was a kidnapping, why no ransom?  This is huge people.  There is no getting around this.

Then there is the problem with the nanny story.  She is on record with more than one nanny story.  But the defense cannot continue with this.  Everyone (and I mean everyone) will have a very difficult time trying to believe this story.  If Ricardo/Amy/Ghandi took the child, why did this story even crop up?

Yeah, she spent 30 days sloring it up at every hooch joint in Orlando.  The defense can spin this, and maybe some on the jury will be sympathetic about her reasons.

But....how did she loose Caylee in the first place, and why the change from the nanny story will be her undoing.

Oh yeah, throw in the rest of the evidence...it's just icing on the cake.   ::MonkeyCool::

What you've written shows that you know that you have helped them learn, and have helped them get the tools they need to be better parents. And then you stand back, ever at the ready. It will be very hard to find a jury anywhere sympathetic to Casey.  It is all over the news nightly.  If Baez were smart, we know he is not, but if he were he would have taken a tip from the prosecution and kept it all in court....not a presser to defend himself and in response to something the media has said, kept it to the facts and let the speculation roll off his back.  Cindy would be happy to answer that Im sure!

I disagree about Casey not being able to find an impartial jury right in Orlando. 
First - I am surprised by the amount of people in my town (60 miles east of Orlando) who really don't know that much with regards to what is actually happening. 
Second - I am tuned into The Scared Monkeys almost daily.  I agree with about 98% of what is said.  However, if I were selected to be on that jury, what I have heard, here, would just have to be compartmentalized. I would go into that trial with an open mind.  What, just what if Casey is innocent?  (I really, really doubt it but---).  I would have to go through the trial doing what the Judge tells me.  (I do take orders well).  I would pray every night that the God I believe in would guide me to the right decision based on the factual evidence produced during that trial.  I know there are many other good and honest people all around here that would take this task to heart and do a respectable and appropriate job.  From what I hear from all my Monkey friends I truly believe most of you could do the same thing in order to see that Justice is Served.

Having said all that, I would unquestionably have to hear some very compelling evidence to find her innocent.  If that were to happen I would want to know who the guilty culprit was and would hold the OCSO accountable for all of the information given to us.  So far they have my full confidence.

Another thought popped into my head, too.  What about the guy overseeing the lot?  Why didn't he call the police?  Shouldn't he have called the police.  IIRC, he said that he had smelled that odor one time before...when a man was found dead in one of the cars.  I understand that if you ever smell that odor you never forget it.  He said he had smelled a decomposing body once before....that tells me he knew it was the odor of decomposition...so WHY didn't he call the police either?

You are a good person sweet morgan. I know there are people out there that don't know what is happening, my mother is one. She still feels sorry for Cindy, even though I have explained a lot to my mom about this case. I think once this goes to trial, with all the evidence I have seen (just the tip of an iceberg) KC is going down for the count. The only way she will get off is once she is convicted, there will be a retrial because she had ineffective council aka Baez. I believe that LE has dotted their I's and crossed their T's so much it will be a slam dunk. I just hope they can bring Cindy down with her. JMO for what it's worth JSM  ::MonkeyWink::

Hi Puzzler. I think the man at the tow yard didn't call police because there wasn't a body, just the smell of decomp. It was George's car, he paid the fee and was free to leave with the car. But, if IIRC he went into the garbage bin and dug and dug looking for the trash bag, even called the police about it after he saw the story on the news. He knew something wasn't quite right, he just couldn't call the police because a car smelled like decomp without a body. I hope this makes sense. JMO JSM

That would have been me Puzzler about why the Anthonys didnt call 911 right from the tow yard.  Hmmm...the tow yard smelling it before the Anthonys picked it up, perhaps the car was separated where employees dont travel often OR some of the employees did smell something gosh awful foul but didnt know exactly where it was eminating from although I do have to wonder why they didnt call 911 to at least see if it could be isolated & take it from there via probable cause search warrant.  Obviously, the car reeked of death due to Casey trying to cover up the odor by what we know she said to Amy & that was dated back to 6/24.

I forget who said it but:   KC hated her mother more that she loved Caylee.  That sentence rolls around in my head sometimes. I guess it's really true, too.

Cindy might not have been the best grandma, but I do believe she loved Caylee and if Casey really only wanted a life away from home to spend time partying with her druggie friends, I'm sure that Cindy would have taken care of Caylee.

IMO...KC's b*tch hate was so strong she was determined that Cindy would NOT get Caylee. That's what led to the demise of Caylee....KC's stubborness and hatefulness.
Her single-minded will that Cindy would not get Caylee because KC thought her mother loved Caylee more than her.  ARROGANCE!!!

It's hard to understand this kind of willfullness...when it would have been so easy for KC to simply say to Cindy:  you take Caylee...I'm outta' here!

It was the tow yard man, George started out apologizing for Cindy's behavior and then explained his daughter and grandaughter were missing. The tow yard man is the one the went to look in the trunk because he didn't want George to see that there was a body in there. When the tow man found the bag of trash he just told George the smell came from the trash and tossed the bag in the garbage bin. I think the guy knew something was wrong but there was no reason for him to call police until he saw the story of Caylee missing on the news.

I think Cindy "loved" Caylee, but I believe Cindy's version of "love" is more of a posession than total unconditional love. Cindy could use Caylee as a threat to KC. KC could use Caylee as a threat to Cindy. Caylee was like a two way sword for them. They both used Caylee as a barganing chip. Cindy used Caylee as a way to keep KC at the house and under Cindy's thumb. KC kept Caylee away from Cindy just to see how far KC could get under Cindy's skin. JMO JSM

Bozo is going to try and explain away the death smell in the car, BUT skankerella already acknowledged the smell as well as Moe and Larry.  Moe said that maybe somebody else put a body in the car, but skank said a dead squirrel was inside the hood.  How is BJ gonna get out of that?
I wonder if LE has any record or evidence of skank stealing buying air freshner?

It had to be purchased before Amy left for PR 7/8 because the car was towed from Amscot 7/30.  Casey's Target purchases with Amy's checkbook were 7/8 and 7/10 IIRC

Very much so my fellow insightful monkey!   You'd be amazed how many adults lose sight of "unconditional love" as opposed to their own needs being met by that child relationship or as a way to meet their own agendas utilizing a child as possessions  for their own self-importance and/or weapons against another.   Another common problem is an example of a parent/adult living THRU a child's life as opposed to WITH it.  Let's equate it to figure skating for this example...you have a mother that was a figure skater but could never achieve her goals, a daughter is born and this mother pushes her into figure skating & drives her to success because in her mind her daughter's success is perceived as HER accomplishments -- very often you see this in all sports and of course other areas in life.  In a dysfunctional family often members use one against the other, usually at the expense of a child.   A not so fine reference to a monkey, but a horrible example of 2 individuals playing "monkey in the middle" with another person being their pawn.   I've said it before & I'll repeat it just one more time, you are a smart monkey with a sweet pure heart.

I was just ranting this very thing with my hubby tonight. That article about the price raise in the jails and the trouble they are expecting from it is amazing to me. These morons are not there because they are nice people that followed all the rules. I personally think prisons should be guarded only on the outside - just put them in and they can come to the door at the end of the sentence if they survive. They can learn to live with people like them. They can be the victims instead of the law abiding people paying their way and making us victims again.

OT but what is up with my computer -= when I go to type a response the box is all jumpy and my words keep ending up out of view - it keeps jumping up to the top of the post!

The parents call you and send you after her, find out what she's doing, find out where Caylee is. He can't nail her down (that we KNOW of). So finally the confrontation goes down and you are given this lie of The Nanny took her. You go with it b/c no one at that point is really thinking Caylee is dead. Bizarre, your life is now TV fodder with your Mom and Dad taking the lead and doing their antics on the front lawn.

You KNOW your Mom is a control freak, you don't cross her b/c you have seen what she does to Casey and she is demanding you take part in this. She looks to you to play the strong one b/c George is a wuss. How do you act? What do you do when you find out chit about your sister no one suspected??

No defending Lee at all, he's an ass who obviously doesn't know how to act in public, who is a puppet for his mother. But how does the average person raised in that environment continue on in that life? Do you walk away, say KC is guilty and throw your hands up? OK now they will never speak to you again. (Easier to say, Oh hell yah, than to live it). Or do you continue to go along with the game and do and say what your Mom says too. Now you are shades of your Father whom you have nothing but contempt for. You are now living his life. The one thing he did right was staying out of the lime light when we were all screaming for Cindy to go away. But she dragged him back in.

DANGITTT I just had a very good post then I got kicked out of the cage. My phone kept ringing and I was slow to hit post.

Okay I will try to remember what I posted. Here goes the Readers Digest condensed version.

IMO Cindy is trying to make amends being a bad mother through Caylee for the way KC turned out. KC always thought she was number one and knowing that she is no longer number one turns on her only competition which is Caylee. She kills Caylee because if poor Caylee is no longer around there is no competition. I am so pizzed my other post went to post H*ll. It made so much more sense.

I do like your analogy of the figure skating mom. We have them at my rink, just the mom's never have put skates on in their life. They really make me sad pushing their kids like that. I could see Cindy being a hairbrush mom. That's what we call the pushy mom's at the rink, aka Tonia Harding's mom hit her with a hairbrush if she didn't land her jumps.

JSM..I agree ..they were each users of Caylee's..no unconditional love for her on either side..including George and Lee.  Caylee was a battleground..unfortunately no child knows how to traverse that ground.  In this case because we are dealing with a functional sociopathic grandmother, and an dysfunctional sociopathic mother, Caylee never had a fighting chance.  She was a token in their ongoing battle to one up each other.  If Cindy had truly loved Caylee..months before this happened she would have sought help for Caylee and Casey and sought custodyof Caylee..but Cindy's mouth is bigger then her heart..she is a true bully who only wanted Caylee so she could chastise her daughter..Caylee was  lost in their dysfunctional relationship.  She was never a little person to them..she was an object to wrestle over/

The best I could say is Caylee was a football as an analogy. They each used her to get a first down or a touchdown and they each kept score. Then when the game was really tight, Cindy fumbled the ball IMO when she let Caylee go with KC Father's day night. I hate them. JSM
