In the olden days, banks/credit card companies were often limited by law with regard to how much they could charge in interest or fees.  It was the responsibility of the issuer to make a good faith effort to ensure the borrower was a good credit risk.

Today, they change the rules.

What incentive to all those companies have to ensure that their card go to those who are credit worthy?

It seem like this is another CRA type scam.  How many cards will be issued using stolen identities?

How long will it take consumers to clean up the mess left by scam artists and credit card companies?

Another sad day for consumers.
