Wyks great post, and I understand what you are saying about the running and endorphins. That is great concern to me like you posted about the Prozac and Terri going off cold turkey, and doing the running thing instead. Again have no idea what these women have as far as mental issues, but will add that I would feel safer around someone who stays on their medication instead of their own self therapy of running.

Phew!  Trying to catch up to you guys is a tough job.  This thread is moving so fast.

Towards the end of the last thread, I posted this so am posting it again in the new thread.

In the video for the marathon, there is a woman with long red hair running in front of DeDe.  Is it Terri?  At one point she turns and looks like she is looking for DeDe.  It is around 06.57 in the video which is a little before the halfway point.  Anyone think it is her?

Good eyes, bananas!  The runner you noticed has the physique of Terri and long red hair.  I froze it and zoomed in.  IMO it is not Terri.  Her gait is different and her features are different, but ICBW.

I don't like people who are mean to animals or mistreat them... if I had any thought of all of giving her the benefit of doubt for what I am thinking, I just lost it. 

I can't really say what I know, but I will say this... and it was passed to LE... someone thinks they saw this woman doing something( I can't say what or where, but if it is really her, which I believe the person who saw it 100000000000%,) then this woman has had it... I had thought perhaps LE was ignoring it, but it looks like they didn't.  GOOD...  and if she ever ends up in jail, she better hope the heck there are no pet lovers there.

no, I live in cali, but it might as well have been mine... I LOVE dogs... anyone who knows me or reads about me and my pets KNOWS how I feel about dogs... I always say pepole will be surprised when they get to heaven and find out God is a dog... that is how much I love them... anyone who mistreats a dog does not want me to know it.

No kidding!  I started to read the post here and got upset, so I stopped and refused to read her post.  I can't take it.  I wonder if the person she was dog sitting has seen that.  And what was her point in posting that?   She proud of it????  I'm sure many others were upset to after reading that as well.  What a Biotch!

I'll just throw this out here, could it be possible that DeDe and someone else besides Terri took Kyron, and for what reason, I can come up with a couple I suppose, but could this be revenge? Or was DeDe and Terri and maybe one other person all involved with this? Again I can't come up with anything besides revenge against Kaine.

there were more search warrants... there were some this last monday also.. there was a grand jury going on yesterday when I was posting and sounding weird and trying to post info but could not really say things... now this all comes out.. GOOD, about time we are getting info out here. 

and very good they put Dede's name out here.  Finally.... now someone believes they saw her somewhere.. with someone.. and I believe this person 100000 %  we have been looking for the photo of the person seen, and now this person believes it was dede... and so if dede was really there, she might as well just give it up and tell the truth, because if she were there, like this person believes, it's over for her. 

now the person who thought they saw her is very professional and no kook type... and we keep looking for who she saw... I am told now it was dede who they saw... le was given this info earlier but no one ever mentioned anything about it and no one got back to this person, so we kept wonder wth, did they not listen... well the other day I started posting about it... I wanted LE to listen.. but it seems they might have been listening after all... but just in case they haven't, they are getting another call.  I also gave the person some numbers to call to get through to some others people who would listen..

now I hope they listened to this person... and if they haven't, they need to.. because this person swears the person they saw was dede...

Doubledecker, know what you mean about dogs.  I happen to love all animals.  It hurts me to put a worm on a hook to fish with.  I'm pitiful.  I do know, anyone who can hurt animals has no respect for life and that is animal's or people.  She sounds like she is all about herself.  I would love to be a fly on the wall when LE bring her in (Dede that is).  She won't be so tough then. ::dogwag::

Not to mention that this race was in 2008 and Terri was probably pregnant at the time.

Wyks - Just want to say before I go, I agree with your concern re def. atty's
using mental health issues as a defense.  Thank goodness the insanity defense under the legal terms, are rare. 

I believe more likely all involved since DeDe and Terri have been spending alot of time together since Kyron went missing.

I think it is possible terri might not be involved in kyron.. but it sure does not look like it.. but I still will not decide about that yet.. involved in something yes, in killing kyron... I don't know yet what I think about that... dede involved, yes I believe so because someone is telling me they can ID her somewhere, and I believe the person really believes it was dede... now I guess there is a chance it could be mistaken idenity and not be dede... but I'm believing the person who saw her really believes it was her... if so, she will be caught without a doubt because there will be a record of where she was and what was going on... that is a given.

now about others who have had their houses searched more recently/monday, I don't know what LE is thinking about them.. well actually I do know what they are thinking, but I don't know what, and it could be just a ploy to make them talk "IF" they know something, which they swear they don't.  but strangely enough I guess LE is using some tactics to get them to talk about something LE THINKS they know about, in a manner that coincides with what some are saying about terri and deded.. so weird the same accusations are coming out... so I have to wonder what all of these people have in common that LE is using to try to get them to talk...

it's just weird, this whole mess.  do they all hate kaine?  do they all hate Men?  so much so someone would hire a hit man?  gee, lets off the men in our lives and hide the kids... hmmmmm

I'm like DD.  I have 3 dachsunds and they are my babies!  If I found out somebody did that,  I would be at her door step and it wouldn't be pretty!  She wouldn't want me to find out either!  (Too think she POSTED it!?  WTH?)  My DH and daughter would be going ballistic as well.

Missing Oregon Boy's Parents Ask Mystery Woman to Step Forward

The parents of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman are asking a mystery woman to come out and help them find out what happened to their boy.

"We have been informed [by law enforcement] that they have identified a person that has been in close communication with [Kyron's stepmom] Terri Moulton Horman since Kyron went missing, and her name is DeDe Spicher," a statement from Desiree Young and Kaine Horman reads. "She has not only been in close communication with Terri but has been providing Terri with support and advice that is not in the best interests of our son."

The story at that link is twisted. 1). Who the heck puts a dog in that situation, 2). records, in detail, the injury inflicted to the poor dog because it was left in that situation and 3). then complains at how hard the blood and hair makes it ON THEM???

If this is a sample of Terri's "friends", then I shutter to think what might have happened to Kyron if these two got together. She's disgusting, IMO.

Good question, no rose.  But -- Oh no!  Now you've got me thinking in overdrive.  It is a very detailed story, and the wording is truly odd in places.  And yes, why indeed would she post such a story...?  I could get all sleuthy and imagine that it was a made-up cover story to explain away certain potentially incriminating details (sound of scratching from inside the locked utility room, blood, mud and debris in the house, frantic cleaning), just in case they were witnessed by anyone... my mind could come up with a couple of dark scenarios...

I think so also. And I noticed when reading DeDe's blog about dog sitting, it was bad enough she has done this more than one time, but what I found interesting in one of the paragraphs she used the word we. Have no idea if she was referring the we to another person, or the we meaning the doxie. Also after reading that I see why she has no kids, if she is freaked about a mess from a little pup, just imagine how freaked she would get with messes kids make?  ::MonkeyShocked::  Also she was talking about binging with food, wonder what else she binges with?

Hi DD.  Just out of curiosity and I completely understand if you can't answer.  How do you know all this info, especially living in CA?  Are you in a profession that enables you to get more info than an average person?  I'm sorry if this has been asked/answered before.  Again, if you can't answer I understand, but would really love to know.  ::MonkeyCool::

I'm beginning to wonder how jealous DeDe is, was she jealous of Kaine and Terri, resentful of the two of them? It appears from reading DeDe's blog she has a hard time controlling issues in her life, and when one starts losing control of issues in their lives, what happens? Some can handle it and move on while others can't or won't.

What month was it, anyway?  (Quick Google search, may be wrong:   October of 2008?)  Maybe she wasn't pregnant yet?  Not sure.  But regardless, I am pretty certain that is not her; I watched those few seconds several times, zoomed in...  I also checked the Portland Marathon website; searched for her name in 2008 and it didn't come up.

June 4th, 2010.  I think this blog is from another year.....so she's been whacked out awhile now.

Thanks can!  Yep, they are rare, and thank goodness it doesn't fly as a defense as often as it's tried!  For those who truly suffer from these illnesses, it can be very minimizing when someone comes along and tries using any of that as an excuse.  Esp when those who have a dx tend not to use it that way.  IMO.

Very bizarre, such detail. If this is true what she wrote, she has lost control of many things, not only the horrible treatment of the doxie, but she lost control of her eating as well. Was she punishing herself because of what she was doing to the poor pup with food? This is a woman full of self hatred is what I see, and hate to say this, would not be surprised at all with anything she has done. She is trying very hard to pretend she has it together, and when she fails it is no big deal, she just picks herself up and starts again.  ::MonkeyNoNo:: I don't see that at all in her. Ticking time bomb is more like it.

Oh WOW.  I posted the question and never even thought about her being adopted...   Hmmmmm... Now I'm even more convinced!  She could have found her bio parents at some time in her life!

Is it possible that Kyron's death was not premeditated but resulted from an impulsive action by Terri that could not be taken back after she took her stepson from the school with the intention of taking him to the doctor and returning him later (jacket/backpack/science project)?

Could Terri ... in a panic ... fearing the legal consequences ... fearing Kaine's response ...  have contacted her good friend to assist in covering up her impulsive act of wrongdoing?

Could it be that at this point Terri made the decision that she would claim she had left Kyron at school that morning and ... the teacher must have heard her correctly in regards to the date of the doctor's appointment?

Think about it.

1.  The teacher was under the impression that Kyron would be absent.
2.  Tanner was under the impression that his friend would be absent.
3.  Spicher abruptly left her landscaping job at 11:30 PM.
4.  Terri was at home when Kaine arrived at 2:00 PM.

I just cannot comprehend Spicher being a participant with Terri in the disappearing or harming of Kyron but ... assisting a friend in covering up an unintentional act of wrongdoing ... maybe.

Detectives learned that Spicher, who shares Terri Horman's passion for fitness and gardening, was doing gardening work for a Northwest Portland homeowner on June 4. She abruptly left the house about 11:30 a.m. and didn't return until an hour to 90 minutes later.

Another person working at the home called Spicher to come in for lunch, and the homeowner called Spicher on her cell phone but she wasn't reachable. Detectives have questioned both the homeowner and the other person who was working at the home that day.

It says (possibly rumor) that Dede's father is a sheriff in Klamath County.  That is indeed where she grew up and where her parents live.

One more think:  In nearby Coos County (two counties over) there was a colorful Sheriff who has now retired.  His name is... wait for it... yeah.  Mike Cook.  AFAIK absolutely no connection whatsoever to the Mike Cook in this case.  But just another freaky coincidence.

Dede was a very spoiled child, and never got as much as a lecture for bad behavoir her whole life, I lived with them for two years while in HS.

IMO she is way more involved than we know yet.

I was reading a little bit further along in there and can't get over how people are still trying to propogate the "Safe House" theory. Why is there this need to ignore everything that we know so far about this case and come up with a conclusion that imo defies logic? I can't help thinking there is some serious projecting happening.

This person says that cousin DeDe was friends with "step monster" for a while, and that most of people that knew Teri Horman said she was a psycho. This is a different picture than what I've been reading about with TH's exes and others saying how nice she was. I doubted the nice scenario because KC Anthony came across as motherly and nice too, and don't think it was just PPD that caused a sudden change. Maybe the PPD made it harder for her to conceal the "real" TH. This may be the more accurate picture ---Psycho of long standing.

What I want to know is if LE has been able to confirm if there ever truly were a Dr. Appt. schedualed period and if not then what might this alleged Dr. Appt be in reference to?

This is speculative stuff but we know these people are into landscaping and what not. There is a lot of homeopathic type cures (many which are completely fraudulant) and I know this because I reported one in another state for selling what the seller listed as "antibiotic" nasal spray. There are steps that people have to take in order to list their "products" as such and there are licences that must be obtained via appropriate authorities etc...
My mind is most likely wandering but I wonder if it is possible that these people were into some type of weird stuff like this?
There was one couple in Oregon who were indicted for fraud regarding things of this nature.
I'd have to search like crazy on those people but IIRC they were arrested, fined and what have you.

I am speculating due to the reference that Kyron had a "Dr. Appt" and so far no proof that there ever legit was one.

Re the bolded part:  I thought this particular rumor involved a red Mustang?

(FYI and FWIW, the recent Natasha Morales case centered around a carjacked older blue Ford Explorer.)

I have to say I didn't read anything about a blue Explorer either.  Also I was reading on Blinks this morning and someone posted that DeDe, Kaine and Terri all knew each other for several years, I thought it said seven years. Now I went back and can't find it  ::MonkeyNoNo:: I'm sure we will find out more about how long everyone knew each other.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- DeDe Spicher, identified as a close friend of Terri Horman’s, has been questioned by detectives investigating seven-year-old Kyron’s disappearance. Her home was also searched last week.

Spicher has known Kaine and Terri Horman for about seven years and used to work out with Terri, a former competitive bodybuilder, on a regular basis.

She describes herself on blogspot as "a fitness junkie, med school wannabe, pet-sitting veteran, HOA board survivor and worm herder.” She also talks about her first marathon, first century bike ride and what it’s like to grow a garden on the small patio of her condo. Her last blog entry was on May 5, a month before Kyron disappeared.

She also has a profile posted on the Yard-sharing Web site, hyperlocavore which describes her as someone who’s passionate about organic gardening and actively seeking a yard to share. She wrote that she wants to learn from others about natural gardening methods.

Spicher lives in a condo located on SW Sagert Street in Tualatin that has a “for sale” sign posted in the front yard. She apparently used to serve as the president of the condo association.

A reliable source told KGW that investigators learned Spicher was doing gardening work not far from the Horman home in Northwest Portland on the day Kyron disappeared. Spicher reportedly left where she was working on the garden at 11:15 a.m. on June 4 and returned around 1 p.m.

The person who owns the house, who was cooperating with investigators, told them she called Spicher on her cell phone but she didn't answer, the source told KGW. A person who was working with Spicher, who was also cooperating with investigators, told them of trying to unsuccessfully find Spicher. Both people have told investigators they have no idea where Spicher was during that period.

This week we saw two for sale signs on 2 of the homes..the third is a mystery at this point.

But back to the Plainview RD where the man is saying LE was there  looking, but it wasn't him..he said they were looking for another family.  The family part gave me pause....I mean a whole family ..so I thought maybe this is where DeDe was working?  IDK..but some how that Plainview Rd means something to LE.

Last night’s announcement (PDF) from the parents of Kyron Horman confirmed our suspicion that DeDe Spicher lied about her identity when we visited her house earlier this month.

Perhaps that’s not surprising, since Kyron’s parents accuse Spicher of “refusing to cooperate with law enforcement” and of providing Terri Moulton Horman with “support and advice that is not in the best interests of our son.”

On June 30, four days after Kaine Horman left home with his daughter Kiara, several cars were seen driving away from the house where Terri Horman remained living alone.

One of those cars belonged to Terri Horman’s parents. Another belonged to Spicher.

Curious if they had any insight into the case, we knocked on the door of her condo in Tualatin several days later. The woman who answered the door was the same person shown in the photo and identified as Spicher in the press release from Kyron’s parents.

But the woman at the door told us DeDe Spicher wasn’t home. She identified herself only as a “friend” who was in town “to help.”

Asked where she was from, the woman paused and looked away.

“Where I’m from,” she said.

If Spicher was with Terri for this short period of time ... I suspect that maybe  she was contacted by Terri and ... assistance was requested ... "something bad had happened".

In other words ... the death of Kyron had not been premeditated.

we don't know who all is being subpeoned to the GJ.. , I think LE hasn't said anything about the grand jury so could very well be dede has been subpeoned to the grand jury and we just don't know about it.

If they may indict her in this crime, they cannot force her into incriminatikg herself (5th amenment rights) unless they give her immunity.

I finally got caught up left for a couple of hours to do research, I don't get any of this, not even a little.

JMO:  With the details we now _believe_ we know Terri Horman planned Friday June the 4th, for awhile I bought into she didn't do this, but then the LS_ he could be lying, then the sexting_the restraining order, if Kyron was in danger why would she leave her daughter, she has a big time lawyer that could fix this.

Now we have this DeDe chick, no I just can't ignore all this any longer.

I do believe I understand why she has not been arrested yet however they need to get all of them, if Terri is in jail they (her friends) won't be talking and everthing stops.

I pray that Kyron is alive, I think, want to believe he is alive.

Terri has never got into any elaborate kidnapping plot.  She just sticks by her story that she left Kyron at school.

Calling 911 implies both legal and personal consequences if Kyron had died as a result of an impulsive act of wrongdoing ... an impulsive act that could not be taken back.

I suspect that a good friend ... without fully considering the ramifications ... out of warped sense of loyalty ... may have agreed to assist Terri in a cover-up.

It is the time frame in which Spicher suddenly went missing from her landscaping job that causes to redirect my thoughts regarding how the events enccompassing the disappearance of Kyron may have may have played out.

I could be wrong.

DA's generally don't call "suspects" to testify -- they want to hear testimony from people who can disprove what the statements that suspects have already given. 

This may have been brought up earlier as a possible scenario, but what if TH premeditatedly did something to Kyron, then called up her good friend DD who'm she'd been cultivating for quite some time. She tells DD that she thought of her because there'd been an accident and DD was always talking about medical school. Then TH plays the frazzled, desperately frightened role and DD takes on role of protector and helps cover it all up. Unlikely, I know.

What bothers me about this case

LE has a lead (Dede) they brief KH, family comes out with letter, Dede lawyers up, lawyer stops Dede from talking to LE, or maybe she wasn't talking before BUT surely won't now.

Same with Terri.

I just have never seen a case like this, try them in the court of public opinion.

How does that find Kyron?

I am not mad at Kaine, etal at all, I would be doing anything and everything I could to find my child.

I just don't understand the DA or LE who in the end has to bring justice for Kyron. I see a defense attorney having a field day at trial.

They need to find his body.

I know you are probably right. 99.999% right.

But you know, there is that little glimmer of hope that just maybe this case is different from the rest and there could be a positive outcome.

Question:  Wouldn't LE be able to find out DeDe's location and or movements by checking the pings on her cell phone - even if she didn't answer?

Interesting caught this on the minute update waiting on the Q&A to come out....Short lesson on search warrents and remembered a search warrent is specific can't just tell the judge want to go tear this woman's house apart we "think" she might have knowledge.

The timing is interesting to me. Kaine moved back into the house on the 11th. The search warrants were executed on the 15th. I’m guessing Kaine and/or law enforcement found something in the house that Teri overlooked from her time alone there. Kaine has said he allowed the police to search the house a couple of times. I’m guessing once he moved out, Teri wasn’t allowing any searches. Or maybe LE didn’t ask and they were hoping she’d leave something useful behind.

I’m also curious as to what LE hoped to get in the search warrants. They can get phone and internet records from the service providers without tipping off the suspect(s). They can’t get the content of e-mails that way though. I hope they got something other than just e-mails.

When you put it that way, seems like there's very little chance of his being alive.

I don't see the resemblance ... face/chin shape is different, mouth different, eyes different, nose completely different ... all I see that resembles is their hair in the same color range.

I don't think they really look alike but they both have fair skin and reddish hair.  They also appear to have similar body shape. 

Speaking of red hair, early on didn't someone here post that either Kaine said Terri talked about, or Terri posted on FB, that she had recently colored her hair and didn't expect it to turn out so orange. I wonder if there was any significance in that, as in groundwork being laid, or the typical "too much info" that sociopaths are famous for. For instance could she have tried to get her hair colored deliberately a different shade to try to match someone else's? Just to create some confusion when she and her accomplice were covering up or whatever?

Have we ever found out where Kiara was when Terri took Kyron to school?  Could DeDe possibly have been called on to watch the baby while Terri took care of some business?

Hi,  Just watched the news on Channel 8 in Portland {KGW} and the reporter showed this house and said it was owned by Dede too.  I am sure it was an error, we know she owns the condo, but am wondering if she might have some ownership or involvement in that big house as well?

So now we have two known: Dede Spicher and Kerry Sama Rubio.

Detectives learned that Spicher, who shares Terri Horman's passion for fitness and gardening, was doing gardening work for a Northwest Portland homeowner on June 4. She abruptly left the house about 11:30 a.m. and didn't return until an hour to 90 minutes later.

Another person working at the home called Spicher to come in for lunch, and the homeowner called Spicher on her cell phone but she wasn't reachable. Detectives have questioned both the homeowner and the other person who was working at the home that day.

Remember there's nothing to indicate that these people didn't cooperate.  The only one that didn't was DeDe I believe.

Kerry was one of those from the gym that organized the donations.  Remember, this is the gym that has banned Terri now. I suspect that Kerry and her husband were interviewed but I'm sure they cooperated.

In the very very beginning of this, the first report I heard/read, they said Terri had to get back to the baby.  I have not heard it again, and of course I cannot pull out a link, but I know I did.  When people kept asking where Kiara was (myself, too because I then joined the crowd) I always thought someone would say it again, but they haven't.

Finster said Horman had told Kyron's teacher the day before that she was taking the boy to the doctor on Friday, June 11, and gave the teacher paperwork to fill out related to the appointment.

Finster said that when Kyron didn't show up at the bus the afternoon of June 4, Horman talked to the teacher who said she thought that Horman had taken Kyron to the doctor that day. Horman told Finster that the child's teacher was new, in her first year of teaching, and was hard of hearing in one ear. "She doesn't know if she understood her," Finster said.

Does anybody else think that they look "enough" alike that they could have been mistaken for each other by someone who only saw their picture on the news or online?  why I mention it, is remember the guy who saw a redhead in a white truck, thought the truck was his friend until he got close enough to see it was a woman/a redhead to be exact, saw TH's picture, heard about the case, and called in the tip?  Maybe it was DeDe and not TH??

Seems some of the things are making a bit of sense. Good point to who posted about why Terri would talk about her hair, could be why she did and if so then it leads to what 4nobull has suggested. I also wonder if they are related, all of these people with red hair has to connect to something, imo.
So that one person works at intel? She is Terri's friend and not Kaines? Granted it is a large place I'm sure but that is sort of strange. I bet that fits somewhere. Kaine did say in the letter he has to speak to legal? Kyron Horman Update: Parents Plead For Cooperation From Stepmom's Friend

PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS/KOIN/AP) Desiree Young and Kaine Horman, the biological parents of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman, are pleading with a reported friend of the boy's stepmother to help investigators. In an e-mail sent to media outlets Thursday, the concerned parents, along with Desiree's husband Tony Young, stated that stepmother Terri Horman has been receiving advice that is "not in the best interests of our son" from friend DeDe Spicher (spicer).

Kyron Horman vanished June 4, and his  stepmother is believed to be the last person to see him, when the boy was walking towards his second-grade classroom after a school science fair. Police began searching for Kyron after the stepmother reported him missing when he did not arrive home on his afternoon school bus.

The family's pointed e-mail states, "Additional information provided shows that she (DeDe Spicher) is refusing to cooperate with law enforcement, she is also going as far as to suggest to others that may have information regarding Kyron's disappearance, not to cooperate as well."

The letter stressed the importance of Spicher's cooperation in the ongoing case to find their son. According to the Associated Press, Spicher did not immediately respond to an e-mail asking for her comment.

In the e-mail, the family indicated that, "...If we find out that through the investigation that she caused a delay in us finding our son due to her lack of cooperation, we will pursue civil remedies in this matter."

Multnomah County Sheriff's spokeswoman Mary Lindstrand declined to comment on the family's email.

I'm thinking along the lines of "cause" for a search warrant.  They did the "sting" on TH, that would have either scared her (if she's guilty) or made her angry (if she's not).  Then, they pulled her away from the house, probably tapped the phones, and bugged the house.  They would have to have "cause" for that as well, but they could have used the same argument/evidence/suspicions they used for the sting.  So, with the house bugged and wired, they Rattle the redhead.  What does she do?  Who does she call?  That was what gave them "cause" for the search warrant.  Just speculating, of course.

Yeah one could hope on bugging the house wish they would bug all of them!!!

Was Terri smart enough to know the house was bugged and the phones tapped? And if she was then she was being very careful about what was being said inside that home.

If we even get one?  It is still fairly early...

She's the surprise new figure in the Kyron Horman case, and now DeDe Spicher has not just grabbed the attention of the missing 7-year-old's parents – she's also come under police scrutiny.

Investigators questioned the 43-year-old Tualatin, Ore., resident and searched her condominium last week. She has attracted attention because of her alleged activities on June 4, the day the second grader disappeared.

Detectives reportedly learned that Spicher, a friend of stepmom Terri Moulton Horman, had been doing gardening work that day at a Northwest Portland home but abruptly left before noon and didn't return for about an hour later.

The homeowner tried calling her cell phone during that time frame but Spicher never answered, according to local reports.

The missing boy's parents have publicly stated they believe Terri planned the abduction. They've also pleaded with Spicher to come forward – or they might pursue a lawsuit against her.

On her blog, which has not been updated since May 2009, Spicher describes herself as a "fitness junkie, med school wannabee, petsitting veteran … and worm herder."

She also appears to be an avid gardener, blogging and posting photos chronicling the progress of her "balcony garden."

A visible presence at the Horman house after Kyron's father, Kaine Horman, moved out and filed for divorce, Spicher has known the Hormans for about seven years, according to local TV station KGW, and used to work out with Terri on a regular basis.

I think about Kyron.

If DD's pop is really LE wouldn't you think he'd be trying to talk some sense into her?  Just looking at the time frame ... I think if she's guilty of anything ... the worst case scenario would be getting rid of a body ... the best case scenario would be abetting a criminal.  Surely she could get some sort of sweet deal if she helped LE with a case against TH.

Wow, I'm struck by the number of law enforcement agencies involved in this case.

LE is doing searches according to where their investigation leads them and
according to tips.  I think a poster a couple of days ago was wondering about this.

I do wish we had Tim Miller involved.

I did find one part interesting..all the different law enforcement agencies that have been working on this case..especially..ICE, DEA, AND THE SECRET SERVICE...interesting ..

I have not come across anything firm that her father is/was a sheriff other than that poster at the link earlier claiming to be DeeDee's cousin. I am still looking, but I imagine he is probably in his 60's or so given her age of 43.

TY now that all makes sense to me.

So Terri may have been in cohoots with some very bad people...that she thought would be quiet due to their illegal status?  And I have wondered if she had started or at one time self medicated with cocaine.  For many bi polar individuals this is the drug of choice.  Most bi polar individuals love their manic periods..it is the one thing they miss most once put on stabilizing meds.  Could she have stopped her meds to get that mania back..and met a whole slew of new friends?  Plus it helps with energy, weight loss and that eternal high that bi polars love.

Investigators put pressure on Terri Horman's friends

PORTLAND, Ore. - Investigators are increasing pressure through search warrants and polygraph testing on friends of Terri Moulton Horman, including Dede Spicher, a woman the family of missing Kyron Horman accused Thursday of not cooperating with investigators.


According to multiple sources, investigators are questioning those who were closest to Terri Horman, especially after the restraining order was issued near the end of June.

One woman, who is moving out of a home in Tigard, said she underwent a polygraph test and had investigators come to her home with a search warrant within the last week.

Although Finster said that Horman was to take a second polygraph this weekend, at the time she was interviewed she did not know whether that had taken place or not.

“She understands that they need to do a thorough investigation and that she was the last one possibly to see Kyron and they’ve got to be thorough… but the Internet blogging and all the speculation is really hard,” said Finster.

Kyron vanished June 4 after he attended a science fair with his stepmother at Skyline School. Horman told authorities the last time she saw the second-grader was at about 8:45 a.m. that morning as he headed to his classroom.

According to Finster, Horman is a devoted and loving stepmother who’s been in Kyron’s life since he was only three days old.

To read a flyer distributed by authorities asking several questions of those who may have been at the school on the day Kyron vanished, including inquiries about Horman, click here.

Kyron was wearing a “CSI” t-shirt and black cargo pants when he vanished.

Ok this is what I have read before, they tell you the questions they are going to ask when you are hooked up.

So IMO, when TH left without taking the 2nd poly (she took it later), she knew the questions that were going to be asked, got up and left. I am thinking the questions were about the LS guy. Since she had already taken one earlier most likely about Kyron, school etc.

I have the same question. I have found a whole Spicher wresting family in that area as well.  Nothing to connect a Sheriff or a Deputy to Dede as of yet.  She is 43 so her father must be in his 60's I would think.  Is there not a difference between a Sheriff and a Deputy?

We now have the sheriff confirmed as the father. 

I never knew that before, that they tell you the questions and then hook you up to the machine. Just thought they hooked you up and fired the questions at you. Telling you ahead of time seems to me you can sort of figure out in your head how to get around certain questions and answer them in a way that you think that you may pass the test. Now I see why the results of these tests aren't admissible in the courtroom.

But we all hope somehow it's all just her trying to help a friend, or something. And the family has been in total agreeance that Dede needs to spill it no matter what happened, this has to stop, here and now.

Her biggest fear in life was to let down her daddy, she is the apple of his eye, and he is right there with her as a daddy should be.
But he is a sherriff, and a very honest man, and if I know Dede she will lie at first because she knows his heart might not take this, the whole family is worried about uncle don.

She is goin before the judge Monday, and she is not talking to anyone now, but I think the truth is about to break wide open on this case, Don will see to it, even if it's his last case.

Hi Klaas,  Jonesr's saying she's going before the judge might have just been an expression.  I was called to testify once in a GJ and there was no judge in the room.  There were about 8 or so citizens seated around a big table and a Moderator who gave each person a turn to ask their questions.  It is the result of their findings that goes to the judge.

I do not know if Richard Earl Spicher is the same Richard E. Spicher asssociated with Construction.
