Las Vegas Police Search for Missing Dancer

By Cristina Corbin

Published December 19, 2010 | FoxNews.com

Police are searching for a popular Las Vegas dancer who was last seen leaving her home a week ago.

Debora "Debbie" Flores Narvaez, 31, a cast member of Luxor's "Fantasy" show, disappeared after leaving her Las Vegas home at approximately 7 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Investigators reportedly found the woman's car -- a maroon 1997 four-door Chevrolet Prism with Maryland license plates -- parked in the city's northeast section on Thursday.

Flores Narvaez, who was born in Puerto Rico and lived with her family in Baltimore, Md., relocated to Las Vegas two years ago to pursue a dancing career. An accomplished performer, Flores Narvaez worked as an "ambassador" for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders in 2007 and 2008, according to her MySpace page, and was a contestant on the hit series, "So You Think You Can Dance." Her profile also says that she holds a law degree.

"She is so kindhearted," Asia Bosley, a family friend, said in an interview Sunday with FoxNews.com. "She would give the shirt off her back for anybody."

"She was dedicated to dancing," added friend Leo Castro. "If she's a friend to you, she'll be a friend forever."

Flores Narvaez was last seen Sunday leaving her home to visit her ex-boyfriend, identified by family members as Jason "Blu" Griffith

Celeste Flores, the woman's sister, told FoxNews.com that Griffith, a Las Vegas dancer, has been uncooperative in providing the family with detailed information.

"I am the only one out here on behalf of my family and he doesn't want to sit down and talk to me," Flores said, "There are many inconsistencies."

Flores said Griffith told her in a phone conversation last week that the young woman visited his home around 7:30 on Dec. 19, and that the two spoke briefly at his front door.

"He told me that she said she’s been depressed for the past couple of days because it was the holidays and she wasn’t around her family," Flores said.

"He also said she was sleeping in her car the past couple of days," which Flores said was "unlike" her sister.

"Debbie was kind of private when it came to her personal life," Flores added, "but I understand from almost all her friends that her relationship with Blu made her upset a lot."

Griffith could not be reached for comment when contacted Sunday by FoxNews.com.

Flores Narvaez is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-5 and weighing 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Investigators are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Las Vegas Police Department at 702-828-3394.

Deborah Flores-Narvaez

Friends and family members of a missing “Fantasy” dancer are trying to raise money and plan to hand out fliers Saturday night on the Strip to help in their search.

Deborah Flores-Narvaez, 31, was last seen Sunday near Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.

Her sister, Celeste Flores-Narvaez, has come to Las Vegas to help with the search and has asked friends and supporters to meet her on Las Vegas Boulevard near the Luxor at 8 p.m. Saturday for a prayer and to help pass out fliers.

Police announced Friday that they found Flores- Narvaez’ car, and Celeste Flores-Narvaez said she thinks they are making progress in their search, but they still need help.

Deborah Flores-Narvaez performed in Luxor’s “Fantasy” show and has lived in Las Vegas for about two years.

Police described her as 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez said the dancer’s family is also raising money to offer a reward and help pay for private investigators.

Donations can be made through a Facebook application.

UPDATE: Detectives now know that the last person to see her was her ex-boyfriend, Blu Griffith. They have also found her car in an abandoned lot with the license plates removed. They have still not located Debbie. Her family is asking everyone to put in an email to Americas Most Wanted to try and get them to feature a story on her and hopefully help bring her home. I will update as soon as I hear anything else.

Sister Pleads for Return of Missing Las Vegas Showgirl
Debbie Flores-Narvaez Hasn't Show for Work at Luxor Hotel For a Week
December 20, 2010

Las Vegas police are searching for a lawyer turned showgirl who has been missing for more than a week, and her sister believes the dancer may be in danger.
"Bring her home. Let her go. Let us know something. What is it that you want?" Celeste Flores-Narvaez said in an open plea for her sister's return.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez, 31, is a burlesque dancer at the Luxor Casino's "Fantasy" show. When she didn't turn up for her performance on Dec. 13, friends and loved ones were worried.

Police found her car in a parking lot in the northwest section of the city and are now conducting forensic testing. Investigators reportedly found a purse or makeup bag in the back seat.

"I just wish an officer could've come out, and somebody could've found her address from her license plate," her friend Theresa Howey said.

Woman Gave Up Law for Dance

Dancing was Debbie Flores-Narvaez's dream. According to her Facebook page, she had a law degree and a master's in finance. Her sister said she'd also been a cheerleader for the Washington Redskins.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez put all that on hold to grab a spot at headlining on the Las Vegas strip.

"It's not (like) her to go missing," Celeste Flores-Narvaez told KTNV TV, ABC News' affiliate in Las Vegas. "It's not her to take a small vacation like this."
Sister Believes Missing Woman Alive

Deon Ridley, a friend who danced with the dancer for three years, said Flores-Narvaez had expressed concern over obsessed fans.

"Being in the industry that she's in, being in a burlesque show, it's very risqué for any female in Las Vegas. Her safety is very important," her partner said.

The missing dancer's sister said police have a few persons of interest, but she is adamant that her sister is alive.

"There is no hope or prayer because she is okay. There is no ifs, ands or buts," she said.

Only the bf mentions she was sleeping in the car.  If true, why?  I believe she is dead too, Klaas.  I also think the bf did it.  Wonder if his prints were around license plate area.  I know if they were together then his prints should be all over the car but not necessarily where you attach the tag.  Bless her and her family.

Five Things You Need to Know About Missing Vegas Showgirl Deborah Flores-Narvaez

Forget Burlesque or Showgirls. A real Hollywood-worthy mystery is unspooling in Las Vegas after a Sin City showgirl seemingly vanished five days ago.

Deborah Flores-Narvaez, a 31-year-old former burlesque dancer for the Luxor's Fantasy revue, failed to turn up for a rehearsal on Dec. 13. Speculation over her whereabouts has become a hot topic on the Strip and beyond.

Here are five things you should know about her strange disappearance.

1. Who Is Deborah Flores-Narvaez? A quick glance at her MySpace page reveals that she is Puerto Rican-born and - raised but grew up in Baltimore, where her family now resides. Before she was a showgirl, she had a law degree and a master's in finance. But the 5-foot-5, 120-pound beauty always dreamed of being a dancer, having studied various genres. She was also a cheerleader for the Washington Redskins during the 2007-08 seasons, plays guitar and loves to perform in front of the camera, whether it's acting, modeling or dancing. She once tried out for So You Think You Can Dance and has been living in Las Vegas for the past two years.

2. The Facts So Far: Deborah's sister, Celeste Flores, has said that the family first learned Deborah went missing after a phone call from her roommate, who said she had failed to show up for rehearsals at the Luxor. This raised eyebrows because Flores-Narvaez never missed those sessions. The family contacted police and investigators found Flores-Narvaez's maroon, four-door 1997 Chevrolet Prism abandoned in a lot in the northwestern part of the city. Her purse was left on the backseat but there were no traces of her. A forensics examination is now underway. Flores-Narvaez's last known sighting was on Dec. 12 at around 7 p.m., when she left her Vegas home to visit an ex-boyfriend.

3. The Vacation Theory? While some have suggested that Flores-Narvaez might have gone on an impromptu vacation (her MySpace profile says she's "naturally curious and analytical, which makes me pretty adventurous and willing to try almost anything once"), her sister says that's unlikely, especially since she failed to notify her family, friends or bosses at the Luxor.

4. Her Dark Fears: One of Flores-Narvaez's friends and fellow dancers, Deon Ridley, told ABC News that Flores-Narvaez had expressed concerns about obsessed fans. "Being in the industry that she's in, being in a burlesque show, it's very risqué for any female in Las Vegas. Her safety is very important," Ridley said. Anita Mann, owner of Anita Mann Productions, which produces Fantasy, released a statement last week on Deborah's disappearance: "Our hearts and prayers are with Debbie's family through this difficult time. We strongly urge anyone who may have information about her whereabouts to contact Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, immediately."

5. Was There a Mystery Man? "Debbie was kind of private when it came to her personal life," Flores said of her sister. On her MySpace page, Flores-Narvaez said she was looking for a love match, but was single.

Also on her MySpace page Flores-Narvaez left a message that suddenly could have a whole new meaning:

"It's important to live life to the fullest as you don't know what tomorrow will bring...or if it will be here, but still have a good outlook and presence for the future. And the most IMPORTANT thing to remember in this life... Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!!"

Anyone with information, is encouragned to contact Las Vegas Metro's missing persons line at (702) 828-2907.

Family: Text points to woman's ex
December 20, 2010

A Las Vegas dancer and former NFL cheerleader who's gone missing sent her mother an ominous text message days before she disappeared, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.
Police still are searching for Debora "Debbie" Flores Narvaez, 31, a cast member of Luxor's "Fantasy" show, who disappeared after leaving her Las Vegas home at approximately 7 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Her mother, Elise Narvaez, told the paper she was confused by a text message she received from her daughter on Dec. 1.

“In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact Blu Griffith in Vegas. My ex-boyfriend. Not my best friend,” the message read.

When Narvaez asked her daughter what she meant, she reportedly texted, “never mind, mommy. Just keep it for your records.”

Flores Narvaez apparently was last seen by her ex-boyfriend, identified by family members as Jason "Blu" Griffith. The woman was reported missing two days later by one of her roommates after she failed to show up for rehearsal.

Celeste Flores, the woman's sister, told FOXNews.com that Griffith, a Las Vegas dancer, has been uncooperative in providing the family with detailed information.

"I am the only one out here on behalf of my family and he doesn't want to sit down and talk to me," Flores said. "There are many inconsistencies."

Flores said Griffith told her in a phone conversation last week that the young woman visited his home around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 12, and that the two spoke briefly at his front door.

He told me that she said she’s been depressed for the past couple of days because it was the holidays and she wasn’t around her family," Flores said.

"He also said she was sleeping in her car the past couple of nights," which Flores said was "unlike" her sister.

"Debbie was kind of private when it came to her personal life," Flores added, "but I understand from almost all of her friends that her relationship with Blu made her upset a lot."

Griffith could not be reached for comment when contacted Sunday by FOXNews.com.

Investigators reportedly found Flores Narvaez's car, a maroon 1997 four-door Chevrolet Prism, parked in the city's northeast section on Thursday. Family members told FOXNews.com that the car's Maryland license plates had been removed.

Flores Narvaez, who was born in Puerto Rico and lived with her family in Baltimore, Md., relocated to Las Vegas two years ago to pursue a dancing career. An accomplished performer, Flores Narvaez worked as an "ambassador" for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders in 2007 and 2008, according to her MySpace page, and auditioned for the hit series, "So You Think You Can Dance."

Her profile also says that she holds advanced degrees in law and business.

"She is so kindhearted," Asia Bosley, a family friend, said in an interview Sunday. "She would give the shirt off her back for anybody."

Narvaez is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-5 and 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

No New Answers for Family of Missing Dancer

Posted: Dec 20, 2010 12:12 PM PST Updated: Dec 20, 2010 12:27 PM PST

LAS VEGAS -- Friends and family of Debbie Florez-Navarez are trying to keep their hopes up, but it has now been more than a week since the dancer disappeared.

Flores-Navarez was last seen a week ago. She is a dancer in the Fantasy show at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. She was last seen leaving the Onyx Condos near Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.

Friends, family and volunteers searched near the Luxor this weekend, but so far, there is no new information on where she might be.

Las Vegas police says they will be questioning her most recent ex-boyfriend, who was apparently the last person to see her.

"It was a bad break-up," said Debbie's sister Celeste Flores-Narvaez. "I'm hearing different stories that it was good, it was bad. There were times when she was upset about it."

Theresa Howey reported seeing Debbie's car on Monday near an abandoned home at Carey Avenue and Lamb Boulevard. She says she saw the car on the other side of a chain link fence. "Between 3:40 and 4:15 Monday afternoon, it showed up," Howey said.

Howey wrote down the vehicle's Maryland license plate number, which matched Debbie's. Police told Howey they couldn't come out Monday, because the car was on private property. "Somebody knew that the lot was vacant," Howey said.

Police picked up the vehicle three days later. Authorities confirm they found Debbie's car, but are not confirming they found it at Carey and Lamb.

Police found a purse in Debbie's car. They are also planning to examine her cell phone records.

Anyone with information about Debbie Flores-Narvaez's whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or visit the Crime Stoppers website.

Missing Dancer's Ex Arrested In October
Text Message Adds To Missing Dancer Mystery

POSTED: 3:32 pm PST December 20, 2010
UPDATED: 6:25 pm PST December 20, 2010

LAS VEGAS -- A text message sent from a Las Vegas woman days before she disappeared has added a new twist to what’s become a nationally talked-about story.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez’s mother, who lives in Georgia, said she received the message on Dec. 1, 11 days before the 31-year-old dancer went missing.

Elise Narvaez told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the message read: “In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact (Jason) Blu Griffith in Vegas. My ex-boyfriend. not my best friend.”

When she asked her daughter what that meant, Elise Narvaez said Debbie told her to keep it for her records.

“To me it doesn’t make any sense,” Flores-Narvaez’s sister, Celeste Flores-Narvaez, told FOX5 on Monday. “Just, like when you’re texting really quick, to me it doesn’t make sense.”

Celeste Flores-Narvaez arrived in southern Nevada late last week to aid in the search for her sister.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez, who at one time was a cheerleader for the Washington Redskins, is a performer in the "Fantasy" show at the Luxor hotel and casino.

After she went missing, police found her car abandoned, with its license plates removed, in a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood. There have been no statements about evidence found in the vehicle.

Authorities have spoken to Griffith, but he has not been named a suspect in the disappearance.

According to a police report, Griffith was arrested in October for violence and coercion against the dancer.

At the time of the report, Flores-Narvaez told police she had been dating Griffith for a year and was pregnant with his child. She told police that while she was in her car following a visit with an ex-girlfriend of Griffith's, he had approached her, opened her car door, taken her iPhone and elbowed her in the left chin.

The report said Flores-Narvaez had no visible facial injuries.

After following Griffith to another location, she asked for her cell phone to be returned, but Griffith threw it, Las Vegas Metro police said. When she went to pick it up, Flores-Narvaez told police that Griffith kicked her, pulled her hair and tried to take her phone again.

Police said that she had bruises on both of her legs and a chunk of hair was pulled out. Flores-Narvaez told police that after Griffith kicked her and pulled out her hair, he left in his car.

She again followed him in her car and when Griffith came to a stop, he got out and kicked the side of her car, she told police. Police said no damage was seen to her car.

Griffith told police that he got into an argument with Flores-Narvaez but didn't hit her. He said he threw her cell phone because she was taunting him with it.

“I think there is foul play somewhere,” Celeste Flores-Narvaez said. “My sister isn’t the type of person to leave and be gone this long.”

Friends of the missing dancer have set up a donation fund on Facebook, urging individuals to donate $5 to the search.

The site had raised nearly $4,000 by Monday afternoon.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez is hoping to use any money raised for a reward.

“Somebody knows something, somebody saw something. You don’t have to say your name. Just give [police] a call,” she said. “It’s the holidays. Please bring her home for the holidays.”

She gave up her law degree for this?

What a shame. This has every sign of not having a happy ending. Past history of domestic violence, ex-boyfriend wanna be rapper, car found w/o plates and her last movement was in his presence. I just hope I am wrong.

According to a lawyer on FOX NEWS she was pregnant, so I guess she was still pregnant. Hmm, last person to ever see her was the ex Blu and she is never seen from again. Sounds a little like Vander sloot and Natalee, eh?

No New Leads, Suspects In Dancer’s Disappearance
'Fantasy' Performer Last Seen Dec. 12

POSTED: 10:47 am PST December 21, 2010
UPDATED: 11:03 am PST December 21, 2010

LAS VEGAS -- As the search for Debbie Flores-Narveaz entered its ninth day, Las Vegas Metro police could offer no new information about the “Fantasy” performer’s disappearance.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, police said they were not naming any suspects in the case and would not say whether the 31-year-old dancer met with foul play.

Flores-Narvaez was last seen on Dec. 12 when she stopped by the home of her ex-boyfriend, Jason “Blu” Griffith.

Griffith, who Flores-Narvaez said attacked her during an argument in October, is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

He is, however, facing a charge of coercion related to the alleged attack. According to an arrest report, Flores-Narveaz claimed Griffith took her iPhone, elbowed her in the chin, kicked her and pulled her hair.

Griffith is due in court on April 14.

Flores-Narvaez, who was born in Puerto Rico, moved to Las Vegas after earning a law degree and a stint as a Washington Redskins cheerleader.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call Metro's missing persons unit at 702-828-2907.

Jason “Blu” Griffith, Ex Boy Friend of Missing Deborah “Debbie” Flores-Narvaez Previously Arrested for Domestic Violence

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2010/12/21/jason-blu-griffith-ex-boy-friend-of-missing-deborah-debbie-flores-narvaez-previously-arrested-for-domestic-violence/

What part did this trial today on domestic violence play in what happened to Deborah “Debbie” Flores-Narvaez? Men who do domestic violence are control freaks. Did he meet with her to try and get her to recant what happened so that the charges would be dropped or reduced is low level misdemeanors? Did she say no?

Quote
Even though ex-boyfriend Jason “Blu” Griffith is not being called a suspect of person of interest by police, rest assured he is their #1 focus at this point. Let's put the facts together that are available so far that would show motive. Why does one send a warning text prior to their disappearance after last being seen with an ex-boyfriend who she was pregnant by … “contact (Jason) Blu Griffith in Vegas. My ex-boyfriend. not my best friend.”

1.Deborah “Debbie” Flores-Narvaez goes missing after ex-boyfriend Blu was the last person to ever see her.
2.Ex boyfriend Jason “Blu” Griffith has history of domestic violence with missing Deborah Flores-Narvaez as he was arrested in Oct 2010.
3.Deborah Flores-Narvaez reported pregnant with ex’s child.
4.Police found Narvaez’s car abandoned, with its license plates removed, in a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood.
5.Missing girl sent text message on Dec. 1:  ”In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact (Jason) Blu Griffith in Vegas. My ex-boyfriend. not my best friend.”
6.Deborah “Debbie” Flores-Narvaez goes missing 12/12/10.

OK, then that brings up another answer to a question regarding the text. Some had said, oh it could have been that he was a contact name if anything happened. I would dare say that if one knew where her sister was pregnant or not, she would have also previously referenced Blu and his cell/address.

She was providing a message/evidence .... just in case.

Police: Foul Play ‘Possible’ In Dancer's Disappearance
'Fantasy' Performer Last Seen Dec. 12

POSTED: 10:47 am PST December 21, 2010
UPDATED: 11:55 am PST December 21, 2010

LAS VEGAS -- While police are not close to announcing a suspect in the disappearance of a Las Vegas Strip performer, they said on Tuesday that foul play was a possibility.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, police could give little new information into the search for Debbie Flores-Narveaz.

The 31-year-old dancer in the Luxor’s “Fantasy” show was last seen on Dec.

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) – There's still a lot of unknowns surrounding the disappearance of Las Vegas Strip dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez after the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department held a press conference Tuesday.

Despite a swarm of questions, Lieutenant Rob Lundquist was unable to discuss many specifics about the investigation, and there seems to be a slim amount of evidence on the table thus far.

So where is Debbie Flores-Narvaez?

The Luxor performer hasn't been seen in more than one week. And with each passing day, uncertainty deepens.

"We looking at this investigation as possibly there may be foul play, or have a negative result," says Lieutenant Lundquist.

One person investigators have turned to for questioning is Debbie's ex-boyfriend. Jason "Blu" Griffith is charged with beating her up back in October while she was reportedly pregnant with her child.

"We have spoken with her ex-boyfriend and he stated that they had a short conversation," Lieutenant Lundquist continues. "She then left in her vehicle and everything seemed to be fine."

That conversation between Griffith and the "Fantasy" dancer seems to be the last documented sighting of Debbie. Her car was recovered four days later; it was ditched in a distant lot in northeast Las Vegas.

"We know that he has had a relationship so we are still speaking with him and we are still looking into that matter."

Debbie's closest friends say the couple shared a volatile relationship at times. Merriliz Monzon says she witnessed what appeared to be an argument via telephone three days before Debbie went missing.

"She kept saying I can't drive like this and she was shaking and she said let me get there in one piece, just let me get there in one piece. And she said respect me, respect me."

Debbie's sister was there to face Griffith during his court appearance Tuesday morning on domestic violence charges against Debbie.

Click here to read Jason Griffith's arrest report

However, the ex-boyfriend was a no-show. Griffith's preliminary hearing for battery and coercion charges is now set for April.

Police say he has been cooperative so far and, at this point, there is no evidence linking him to her disappearance.

Debbie's car has reportedly been processed for fingerprints. The results are still pending. In the meantime, police are continuing to pursue leads and are asking the public for any information.

31-year-old Debbie Flores-Narvaez stands approximately 5'5" tall and weighs 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 828-2907.

This is a very pretty, very smart, determined girl who finally was able to achieve her career goals. On the other hand, she made foolish choices-having a baby would have altered her career either temporary or permanently- and yet she didn't protect herself from unwanted pregnancy. This guy, "Blu", from what I've seen/read, comes off as a thug, nothing more. On the day of the alleged domestic, it was reported Blu was at an ex-girlfriends home. Deborah, pregnant, followed him there. Then, when he left, she pursued him numerous times. Wth! For someone so smart, and I don't care what the reason- he had my phone, etc, this whole domestic could have been avoided and it makes me angry. Now, LE has to determine if her career or this guy Blu is responsible for her disappearance. Chances are good, Blu is responsible- although it's possible Deborah could have took off and set him up. Either she was in genuine fear-and that's why she sent that text to her mother on Dec 1, or- she was just getting his name out there. We need more info. People cut off their noses to spite their faces every day.

I just reread Klaasend's article back several posts, (I'm reading and posting off my phone still), anyway- it says Deborah had just met with one of Blu's ex-girlfriends prior to the domestic incident. (Why would she do that, why would she care?) The article states Deborah claimed to be elbowed in the face by Blu when he took her phone- but there was "no facial bruising". Why not? Wasn't it alleged VanderSloot elbowed Stephanie Flores and knocked her eye out? Also, the report further states Blu allegedly kicked in her car door, but there was no damage to the vehicle. The bruises on the legs and the hair could be explained away or as self inflicted. (My sister had a friend who was a nutjob. I came home from work and this nut was outside my sister's home hitting herself repeatedly with her car door. The next day, when she was bruised, she told my sister another friend had "beat her up" because she was hanging out with my sister. My sister shared this with me and I informed her that I saw her slamming the car
door on her leg repeatedly the day before. This crazy eventually went on to slice her wrists and who knows what else. She's still around and who knows what else she's pulled for attention, as we avoid her).

Las Vegas dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez provoked ex? more to the story? (Profile)
December 23, 2010

Missing Las Vegas dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez provoked her ex-boyfriend Jason "Blu" Omar Griffith on Friday, Oct. 22 this year, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Incident Report.

The police report testimony of Jason Griffith that day and exactly two months later, on Dec. 22, 2010, during the domestic violence court appearance, says she "taunted" him.

Flores told the three officers who arrived on the scene two months ago--Pearson, Forson and Rowberry--that Jason verbally and physically assaulted her when she was visiting his ex-girlfriend.

Griffith paints a different picture.

Las Vegas MPD detailed the following in their police report, however, which shows that Debbie Flores continued an altercation with her ex-boyfriend that would have been best left to the police to handle.

The ensuing incident in October should also serve as a reminder to other women that taking on a physically larger male adversary on the street--or through a car chase--isn't always the wisest course of action and could lead to additional violence--which it may have, if Flores does not reappear soon.

First responder arrives to assist Las Vegas dancer

Officer Rowberry was first on the scene, finding two vehicles stopped at Vegas and Torrey Pines.

Debbie Flores' vehicle had been following Griffiths, according to the police report and had actually made contact with his car at this time.

The report doesn't indicate if this was due to Debbie rear-ending Griffith on purpose or due to following him too closely when he suddenly stopped.

According to the police report obtained by ABC affiliate KTNV News, Debbie Flores had went to visit Jason's ex-girlfriend when the incident occurred.

"Blu's" ex-girlfriend's name has been redacted from the PD report (a common privacy precaution when released to media and others outside of law enforcement circles).

Las Vegas dancer visiting Griffith's ex girlfriend without invite?

Jason Griffith's ex-girlfriend's address and name were actually both redacted from the report, and it is unclear if Debbie Flores was at the location by invitation or because she was seeking to catch Griffith there, as he did show up (or was already there)--and had to have known Debbie was there through some form of communication from Flores or his ex-girlfriend, or because he was there first.

The Las Vegas dancer told officers she was in her vehicle when Griffith walked up and pulled open her car door, using force to take her iphone from her, hitting her in the left side of her chin with his elbow.

It should be noted officers did not see evidence of physical damage to her face or chin at this time and no priors for violence were reported to LE during the year the two dated.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez was parked "behind" Jason Griffith's car, according to Officer Rowberry.

The PD report does not make it clear if she pulled in behind Griffith when she arrived or if they were parked on the street and he rolled into a free space in front of her.

What is clear is that he was allegedly able to leave the scene on foot--with her cell phone in hand, enter his vehicle and depart without her having to let his car out of the parking area.

Ex-girlfriend and Flores both follow in separate vehicles

Jason Griffith left the scene. Debbie Flores immediately followed him in her vehicle and the officer's police report indicate that Griffith's ex-girlfriend followed in her car as well. It had the makings of a showdown, which is what occurred.

Griffith, realizing they were following him, eventually stopped. According to Flores, he exited his vehicle, she exited hers and his ex-girlfriend exited hers as well.

Flores and Griffith began arguing over the phone. He threw it approximately 100 feet and told Flores he was not going to jail. He had said as much when he took the phone from her initially, she told officers.

Griffith's story to cops conflicts with Flores story

Griffith would tell cops that he never took the phone the first time Flores said he did, at his former girlfriend's residence.

"Blu" Griffith said he took the phone only when Flores was following him, when he stopped to confront her and she taunted him with it--holding it up and saying she was going to call the police.

Flores told officers that when she ran to retrieve the phone from where he threw it Griffith followed and pushed her down, kicked her and pulled her hair so hard some of it came out.

Griffith then left the scene and it appears that his ex-girlfriend did too, although not in the same direction.

Flores rear-ends Griffith

Flores followed him in her vehicle however, and he stopped again--quickly, which probably resulted in her hitting the back of his car.

Griffith allegedly exited the vehicle, kicked Flores' drivers side door (no physical evidence or damage supports this statement) and returned to his vehicle as Officer Rowberry arrived on the scene.

The three officers took statements, Griffith was arrested for domestic violence and coercion, and it was observed that Debbie Flores did have bruises on both her legs, as well as a missing piece of hair from her scalp--which was retrieved at the site.

Profile

It is apparent that for some reason Jason Griffith felt Debbie Flores was threatening him with jail. It could have been about the altercation between them that day or some other matter Flores was privy to--and had recorded on her phone.

Prior to this point in their relationship there was no evidence of violence physically between them, and cheating on Flores with his previous ex-girlfriend is definitely not "jail warranting" behavior--even if Flores was pregnant with Griffith's child, as she told officers.

Griffith had to believe her cell phone held incriminating evidence of some sort and it appears that he deleted it--or thought he had--when he threw it down later, or he felt taking it would stop her from calling the cops (after he got angry she followed him from his job to his ex-girlfriend's residence), which he says is what happened.

Debbie Flores' unexplained disappearance makes the case much more sinister and Griffith's admonitions of innocence much more disbelievable. The ex-girlfriend in this case holds the keys to the truth of that day.

"Live life to the fullest as you don`t know what tomorrow will bring...Life is short Death is Forever." Debbie Flores-Narvaez-Facebook page

At first I thought the case of missing Las Vegas showgirl Debbie Flores-Narvaez was merely two-dimensional. Her disappearance on December 12th could be easily explained by an abusive boyfriend, who knew that she could nail him in court on battery charges, so he decides to remove her from the picture. But yesterday ABC News broke with some new information that turns these earlier theories on its head.
That is, and I don`t know if I`m making myself clear, after yesterday ABC transformed this seemingly simple case into a multi-dimensional one. I was stunned to hear two new clusters of information, reported by Andrea Canning with ABC News. You will want to read Police Continue Search for Missing Las Vegas Showgirl, Ex-Beau Is `Person of Interest,` by Andrea Canning, Jim Vojtech and Suzan Clarke. It comes with both an article and video coverage. Nearly fainted myself!
I had recorded Nancy Grace from Tuesday night, and the broadcast was emphasizing the abuse by Blu on Debbie, that was culled from police reports. I`m not downplaying this evidence, I think it`s significant, but woe is me, the tentacles of the `big picture` have grown. In any case, what Jason `Blu` Griffith did to Debbie on October 22nd is despicable. He "knocked her down, kicked her, and pulled her hair, resulting in bruising...her hair being pulled out."

True, horrible, violent abuse. But it is curious that Debbie had gone over to Blu`s ex-girlfriend`s house that night to confront him. Apparently, he was having an affair; don`t know if it was with this ex-girlfriend or with some other lady? It must be emphasized that Debbie and Blu were still going out together at this time. But this was a passionate, confrontational visit, and she must have upset Blu a great deal.

I heard she was following him in a car. An odd twist, I will suggest. Debbie must have been very mad, and rightly so, but this is aggressive behavior that could be interpreted as a little over-the-top. I`m seeing this `unusual behavior` from October 22nd in light of the newest information obtained by ABC. By now you will know what I`m talking about. Debbie had done these types of things before. She has faced charges of disorderly conduct and harassment before.

ABC didn`t really elaborate much on what this was all about. Moreover, they said she owes tens of thousands of dollars. Once again, the exact total of financial debt was not disclosed, nor did they say who she owed it to. Naturally enough, the question arises, why was Debbie racking up all of this debt? One would think she was making pretty good money dancing with the Luxor Casino in the burlesque
show Fantasy.

She should have been making enough to get by, I`m thinking, without going into debt. This debt changes the picture considerably. And the most shocking thing of all is that four individuals (3 men and 1 woman) "had requested protective orders against her and three of the requests were granted (ABC article)." This is unbelievable! Debbie was harassing these people, why? It must have been severe or they wouldn`t have gone to this much trouble to press charges like this.

At first we are told she was an NFL cheerleader, had a masters degree in finance, had a law degree and was a highly successful showgirl in Las Vegas. Yes, these credentials are real, but now a different side of her is exposed. I`m dumbfounded, was she a female Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? This is the only conclusion I can come up with; did she live two contrasting lives?

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and most of us want to relax our minds and turn away to lighter and happier matters. I thought I was beginning to do just that, until I heard about this pile of debt and these harassment charges on Jane Velez-Mitchell last night. This was a two-dimensional case at first glance, now it`s a multi-dimensional one. I may need to read a passage from the Maltese Falcon tonight for guidance. Suddenly, my eyes divert away from the boyfriend Blu and scurry over a wider landscape of dubiosity.

Sister Won’t Leave Vegas Until Dancer Is Found

31-Year-Old Last Seen On Dec. 12

UPDATED: 10:51 am PST December 23, 2010

LAS VEGAS -- The older sister of a missing Las Vegas dancer said she'll stay in Las Vegas until her sister is found.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez told The Associated Press she'll keep up the search, even if it means missing Christmas with her two children in Atlanta.

Deborah Flores-Narvaez has been missing since a Dec. 12 meeting with an ex-boyfriend.

Las Vegas police said there's no evidence a crime occurred, but they haven’t ruled out foul play as a possibility.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez said she knows her sister wouldn't intentionally disappear.

The 31-year-old dancer was reported missing after she didn't show up for a performance of the nightly "Fantasy" burlesque show at the Luxor hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez flew to Las Vegas last week to aid in the search.

Body Found Might be Missing Las Vegas Dancer
December 24, 2010

Las Vegas police are trying to determine if the body found in Arizona on Tuesday is Deborah Flores-Narvez, the Las Vegas dancer that disappeared two weeks ago, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Tourists stumbled upon a woman's body while hiking in the Lake Mead National Recreational Area on Thursday.

Clark County Coroner Mike Murphy will perform an autopsy on Friday in the presence of the Mohave medical examiner, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The 31-year-old burlesque beauty disappeared Dec. 12.  Her car was found three days later abandoned. Ex-boyfriends have been questioned in the case but no arrests have been.

Las Vegas television station KTNV reports officials at Lake Mead say tourists found the body on the Arizona side of the lake along Kingman Wash Road. KSNV-TV in Las Vegas reports the body was burned.

The area is past the Hoover Dam Bridge, approximately one mile into the desert.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Mohave County Sheriff's Office, and park rangers are investigating.

Body found near Lake Mead not missing Luxor dancer
December 24, 2010

A body found Thursday near Lake Mead is not that of missing Luxor dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez, Metro Police said.

The Clark County Coroners Office, in conjunction with the Mohave County Coroners Office, has identified the body but is not releasing the name until family have been notified, police said.

The body was found by two hikers, who said it appeared to have been burned, Thursday morning in the Kingman Wash, police said. The body was found on the Arizona side of the recreation area.

After the discovery, there was speculation that the body could have been Flores-Narvaez, whose roommate filed a missing persons report Dec. 14 when she failed to show up for dance practice and a show.

Flores-Narvaez, a dancer in Luxor’s “Fantasy” show, was last seen Dec. 12 leaving her apartment near Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. Her car — without its license plate — was located in northeast Las Vegas on Dec. 16.

Flores-Narvaez, who has been in Las Vegas two years, worked for the Washington Redskin Cheerleader Ambassadors in 2007 and 2008 and, according to her MySpace biography, earned a law degree and has a bachelor’s degree in international business but decided to pursue her passion for dancing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro’s Missing Persons Detail at 828-2907 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

Search continues for missing cheerleader
December 24, 2010

A body found in rural Arizona is not that of Deborah Flores-Narvaez
, a Las Vegas dancer and former NFL cheerleader who disappeared two weeks ago, a source in the Clark County coroner's office told NewsCore on Friday.

"We've ruled that out," said the person, who declined to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to the media. "I can't say any more, but we did determine it was not the dancer."

Hikers stumbled upon a woman's body on Kingman Watch Road on the Arizona side of Lake Mead around 11:30 a.m. local time Thursday, National Park Service spokesman Kevin Turner said.

The reportedly pregnant Flores-Narvaez, 31, was last seen at about 7 p.m. Dec. 12 before she planned to meet ex-boyfriend Jason "Blu" Griffith.

Her sister said Thursday that Griffith has been uncooperative in providing detailed information.

"I am the only one out here on behalf of my family, and he doesn't want to sit down and talk to me," Celeste Flores-Narvaez said. "There are many inconsistencies."

Investigators reportedly found Flores-Narvaez’s car — a maroon 1997 four-door Chevrolet Prism — parked in the city's northeast section last week.

In 2007 and 2008 she was part of the Washington Redskins cheerleaders' "ambassador" program, described by the team as an extension of the squad that performs off the field.

Body's I.D. Offers Little Comfort to Missing Dancer's Family

LAS VEGAS - While many people are preparing to unwrap their Christmas presents, Celeste Flores-Narvaez is working tirelessly to locate her missing sister.

"I don't get to see my kids. I don't get to see her. I don't get to be with my family," she said. "It's just another day for me. It's not Christmas Eve in my book. My family's incomplete, and I'm just trying to put them back together again."

Celeste's sister Debbie Flores-Narvaez disappeared nearly two weeks ago. Police say Debbie, who is a dancer at Luxor and the Palms, went to visit her ex-boyfriend and never returned.

Thursday's news that hikers discovered a woman's body near Lake Mead didn't help. The hikers found the remains near Kingman Wash Road Thursday morning.

Celeste feared the worst.

"I felt like I was standing next to Satan in Hell," she said. "It's unbearable. I can't describe the feeling of pain and sorrow and anxiousness. I felt sick to my stomach. I couldn't sleep of course, tossing and turning."

Friday, Las Vegas Metro Police detectives told Celeste the body did not belong to Debbie. Celeste says she felt both relief and pain.

"It's good news, but at the same time unfortunately, to the other woman's family, my heart just goes out to them," she said. "You know, I feel as though they've got some answers, but now they have to find out who did this to that poor woman."

Debbie's ex-boyfriend Jason "Blu" Griffith is believed to be the last person to see Debbie alive. Police have searched his home for clues to her whereabouts. They describe him as a person of interest who is cooperating with them. So far, there is no evidence Debbie Flores-Narvaez is the victim of a crime.

"Millions of thoughts going through my head," Celeste said. "It could have been strangers. It could have been someone she knew, a stalker, an obsessed fan. It could have been someone in a previous relationship, a psycho, a million thoughts went through my head."

Celeste Flores-Narvaez lives in Atlanta. She arrived in Las Vegas the same week her sister disappeared. Celeste is taking a leave of absence from work and says she's not going home until Debbie is found.

Anyone with information about Debbie Flores-Narvaez's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or visit the Crime Stoppers website.

Relatives of missing dancer cling to hope of finding her alive
December 24, 2010

Las Vegas, NV- It's been nearly two weeks since the disappearance of show girl Debbie Flores-Narvaez and still no sign of her.   Investigators continue to work the case but the thought of starting the holidays without their loved one has become almost unbearable for the family of the missing Luxor Fantasy dancer.

"Words cant describe what crossed my mind," said Celeste Narvaez, who still can't believe her sister, 31 year old Debbie Flores Narvaez has been missing for nearly 14 days. Celeste, who flew out here from Atlanta, tells us she's still clinging on to hope that Debbie will be found alive.

Yet these last few days have been full of uncertainty and anxiety. Frustration has now turned into agony for the rest of the family back in Atlanta and for Debbie's father who is in Puerto Rico.

Days after Narvaez vanished her car was discovered on the east side of town. Investigators have come up empty handed even after they searched the home of Jason Griffith, Debbie's ex boyfriend and the person she was reportedly last seen with.

"I got cold and numb...my mind went blank and thoughts flashed in my mind," said Celeste.

According to Celeste a number of private investigators are donating their time, helping out  with the case. And as her only sibling, Celeste refuses to give up on the search for Debbie.

"I wont stop till I find her ...it will never end till I find her," she added.

But she admits that true peace and closure for the entire family wont come until the person responsible for Debbie's disappearance is caught and brought to justice.

The family is breathing a small sigh of relief after being notified that the remains discovered at Lake Mead were not those of Debbie Narvaez. But with so many un-answered questions, Celeste says she will stay in Las Vegas until there's a break in the case.

A woman found dead Dec. 23 near the Kingman Wash access road south of Hoover Dam was allegedly kidnapped and killed over money by two employees who worked for her escort business in Las Vegas, according to a police report released Monday.

The arrest report and a criminal complaint show the Clark County coroner identified the woman as Yhung Park, 39. Her burned body was found by two hikers in Arizona's Kingman Wash at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Min Chang, 30, and Keon Park, 19, were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder with a deadly weapon, first-degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon and conspiracy. Both are being held without bail.

Ex-boyfriend booked in case of missing dancer
January 8, 2011

LAS VEGAS -- The former boyfriend of a missing Las Vegas Strip burlesque dancer has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Jason Griffith, 32, was booked Saturday in the case involving the disappearance of Deborah Flores-Narvaez, Las Vegas police said.

He was being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center.

Police spokesman Bill Cassell did not immediately return a phone call Saturday concerning whether Flores-Narvaez's body has been found.

Police said they would release other details about the case at a news conference scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday.

The 31-year-old Flores-Narvaez was reported missing Dec. 14 after she didn't show up for a rehearsal of "Fantasy," the nightly burlesque show at the Luxor hotel and casino where she worked.

She reportedly was last seen on Dec. 12 by Griffith, who originally was not named as a suspect by police.

Flores-Narvaez and Griffith had been dating for about a year when police responded to a domestic violence call involving the couple on Oct. 22.

Flores-Narvaez told police that he beat her while she was pregnant with his child. Griffith told police the couple had been in an argument but denied hitting her.

Flores-Narvaez moved to Las Vegas to become a dancer. She previously lived in Maryland, where she served as an ambassador for the Washington Redskins in 2007, a non-performing position that sent her into the community.

Ex-Boyfriend Of 'Fantasy' Dancer Arrested
Griffith Held On Murder Charge
January 8, 2011

LAS VEGAS -- Murder charges have been filed against the ex-boyfriend of a Las Vegas Strip performer who went missing last month, Metro police said on Saturday.

Jason "Blu" Griffith is being held at the Clark County Detention Center.

Griffith, police said, was the last person to see Deborah Flores-Narvaez alive on Dec. 12, when she met him at his apartment.

A Metro source told FOX5's Jason Feinberg that her body has been found and there is a co-conspirator involved in the case, although no details of that person have been released.

Flores-Narvaez was a dancer in the Luxor's "Fantasy" show.

Griffith was already charged with coercion related to a scuffle between the couple in October. According to an arrest report, Flores-Narvaez claimed Griffith took her iPhone, elbowed her in the chin, kicked her and pulled out a chunk of her hair while she was pregnant with his child.

Flores-Narvaez, who was born in Puerto Rico, moved to Las Vegas after earning a law degree and working as a Washington Redskins cheerleader.

I can't find any other source that states Deborah's body has been found.  I'll wait until there's an official announcement if this is indeed true.  Let's see what news Metro Police release at this afternoon's news conference. (conference announced in article below this one)

Ex-boyfriend of missing Las Vegas dancer arrested for murder
January 8, 2011

LAS VEGAS, NV - The ex-boyfriend of missing "Fantasy" dancer Deborah Flores-Narvaez has been arrested on one count of murder.

Las Vegas Metropolitan police will not confirm whether Jason Griffith was arrested in connection with Flores-Narvaez' disappearance or if any new developments have been made in the missing woman's investigation.

Police had interviewed Griffith at least once and served a search warrant on his home in connection with the dancer's disappearance.

Flores-Narvaez has been missing since December 12th of last year and her car was found abandoned a few days later but there have been no real developments released by investigators since then.

Metro Police were expected to release a statement regarding Griffith's arrest later Saturday.

Jason "Blu" Griffith, also a Las Vegas performer, was previously arrested and charged with beating Debbie up back in October while she was reportedly pregnant with his child.

Thanks for the update Klaas, confirming Deborah's body has been found.  But it was found "downtown"?  And in one of the previously posted articles, it was said a co-conspirator was involved.  I wonder if that's who gave the information where Deborah's body could be found?

I'm glad Deborah's body has been found and glad that creep is in jail. I am thinking the co-conspirator is a female too. Maybe the girlfriend he was with back in October when Deborah and Blue had the fight.  I really feel sorry for her sister who even quit her job to go to Vegas to look for Deborah.

Rest in Peace Deborah.  ::MonkeyAngel::

Goodmorning everyone.
There is an article in the Las Vegas Review on this story. Its pretty ugly, I don't know how to
bring it over sorry. LE did a great job finding her remains. When you read it I'm sure you will
be impressed with the work that LE did to solve this. Does Vegas have the DP, I hope so.
There is also a few blogs after the story, maybe you can bring them over also. Rest in Peace
Debbie.

Former boyfriend of missing dancer arrested on murder charges

LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
Posted: January 8, 2011 | 9:56 a.m.
Dancer Deborah Flores-Narvaez's body, dismembered and packed into at least two cement-filled tubs, was left by her killer in a downtown Las Vegas home.

Flores-Narvaez' 32-year-old former boyfriend was arrested on murder charges early Saturday morning, nearly a month after she disappeared on Dec. 12. Jason "Blu" Griffith, a dancer who performs in the Cirque du Soleil show "Love" featured at The Mirage, is being held without bail, jail records show.

Detectives discovered that Griffith had purchased cement and had rented a U-Haul not long after she visited him at his North Las Vegas home on the night of Dec. 12. Financial records -- U-Haul requires a credit card -- confirmed the rental.

The U-Haul's global positioning tracking device allowed detectives to reconstruct Griffith's movements, leading them to the downtown house where they found Flores-Narvaez's remains encased in cement.

Lt. Lew Roberts, head of the Las Vegas police homicide unit, declined comment on specific details of the case at a Saturday news conference, "in the interest of providing a good prosecution." He said it was a "complicated case" and would only confirm that the body was found downtown.

Roberts said detectives received a tip Friday that led them to take Griffith into custody on the Strip. He said he doesn't know the motive for the slaying.

The Clark County coroner's office will make a positive identification and release the cause of death. An autopsy is expected on Monday.

The investigation is continuing, and Roberts said there could be more arrests. He did not elaborate.

According to court records, Griffith is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Las Vegas Justice Court on the murder charge.

It has been nearly a month since the 31-year-old dancer was reported missing, a day after she failed to show up for a Dec. 13 performance in the Luxor show "Fantasy." Three days later, police found her Chevrolet Prizm abandoned in the northeast area of the valley, its license plates removed. The disappearance of the woman has made national headlines in part because her family has made high-profile appeals for help in finding her.

Detectives focused on Griffith, a professional dancer himself, because she accused him of beating her in October. Flores-Narvaez also told police she was pregnant with Griffith's child at that time.

Griffith has told detectives that Flores-Narvaez visited him at his home on the night she went missing, but the conversation was brief and she seemed OK before leaving, police said.

Investigators have previously searched Griffith's North Las Vegas home and his car, and his attorney, Patrick McDonald, has said Griffith had cooperated with police, including volunteering for an interview with detectives.

A preliminary hearing in the domestic violence case is scheduled for April.

Flores-Narvaez grew up in Puerto Rico before moving to Maryland, where she studied international business and law. She served as an ambassador for the Washington Redskins in 2007, a non-performing position that sent her into the community.

She moved to Las Vegas to pursue dreams of dancing, and soon was hired at some of the Strip's poshest nightclubs: Jet at The Mirage and Haze at Aria, among others.

Flores-Narvaez' sister, Celeste Flores-Narvaez of Atlanta, who has been in Las Vegas in hopes of finding the dancer, did not return a message left Saturday.

Before her relationship with Griffith, court records indicate she was in at least one other troubled relationship with another professional dancer, Jamile McGee.

In April, Flores-Narvaez won a $250,000 civil judgment against McGee, whom she accused of beating her, according to court records. Court records do not indicate that she had received any money from the judgment.

McGee, who left Las Vegas more than a year ago, was never prosecuted by law enforcement, according to court records.

McGee's attorney has said there were never any medical or police reports to support Flores-Narvaez's allegations, and that she won the case only because his client ran out of money and could not continue fighting it.

Ex-boyfriend booked in case of missing dancer
January 8, 2011

The former boyfriend of a missing Las Vegas Strip burlesque dancer has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Jason Griffith, 32, was arrested Friday night on the Las Vegas Strip in the disappearance of Deborah Flores-Narvaez, Las Vegas police said Saturday. He remained held without bail Saturday.

Police Lt. Lew Roberts said a tip led investigators to the dancer's body in downtown Las Vegas but declined to elaborate. Roberts said officers had probable cause to arrest Griffith, but would not go into details.

Robert called the murder investigation "fairly complicated" and said additional suspects could be arrested.

The 31-year-old dancer was reported missing Dec. 14 after she didn't show up for a rehearsal of "Fantasy," the nightly burlesque show at the Luxor hotel and casino where she worked.

She reportedly was last seen on Dec. 12 by Griffith. Police originally said Griffith had been cooperative and that there was no evidence a crime had occurred.

The cause of her death will be released by the Clark County Coroners Office after an autopsy Monday, Roberts said.

The arrest ends an emotional monthlong search by the dancer's sister, Celeste Flores-Narvaez of Atlanta, who spent Christmas and New Year's Eve in Las Vegas searching for her younger sibling and urging police to probe the disappearance as more than a missing-person case.

Celeste returned home Jan. 2, convinced that her search was a failure.

She told The Associated Press investigators informed her that DNA evidence indicated they had found her sister's body.

"There are just no words," said Celeste, who returned to Las Vegas Saturday. "How do you put into words finding out that your sister's ex-boyfriend has been arrested for murder?"

Celeste said investigators refused to give her details about the tip or how the body was located.

Celeste said she hopes the coroner's report will show the body belongs to someone else. "I really hope they are wrong," she said.

Deborah Flores-Narvaez and Griffith had been dating for about a year when police responded to a domestic violence call involving the couple on Oct. 22. She told police that she was pregnant with Griffith's child when he stole her iPhone, pushed her down on the ground, kicked her and pulled out her hair.

Griffith told police the couple had been in an argument, but denied hitting her.

Shortly before she went missing, Deborah sent her mother a text message that said if anything ever happened, Griffith was her emergency contact.

Police found Deborah's car Dec. 16 in northeast Las Vegas. Roberts would not say whether Griffith's fingerprints were found in the vehicle.

He said he did not know whether Deborah was still pregnant when she was killed.

Celeste said Griffith had told her Deborah was returning to her home off the Las Vegas Strip when she left his house on Dec. 12.

Deborah gave up a career in finance to move to Las Vegas to become a dancer two years ago. She previously lived in Maryland, where she served as an ambassador for the Washington Redskins in 2007, a non-performing position that sent her into the community.

This article is extremely revealing.  I guess Jason Griffith thought he had Debbie's murder all sewn up.  He was cooperating with police and etc., and all the while, the police were doing the footwork, paperwork and checking into things.  Except he missed a few things, including a paper trail  and it appears there was at least someone else that had knowledge of the events.  I wonder if another of the persons that may have involvement is an old or new girlfriend of Jason's?  We have read there is suspicion of at least another person involved, and a couple of monkeys thought it might be female.   It brought to my mind the case of Jessie Davis, who was nine months pregnant when her (married but seperated) boyfriend Bobby Cutts murdered her.  Cutt's called on a girl  he knew from school to help him with the disposal.

NEW DETAILS: Murdered Vegas Dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez Was Dismembered & Packed In Cement

By chrisa

The combination of a tracking device and old fashioned police work led to the tragic discovery of Las Vegas dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez' remains, cops on the case have revealed. And what they found was nothing less than gruesome.

EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Debbie Flores-Narvaez

The dancer, who had gone missing a month earlier, was found dismembered and packed into two cement-filled tubs, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

Almost immediately after the find, the police moved in and arrested Debbie's ex-boyfriend, Jason "Blu" Griffith.  He is being held without bail.

The police had always suspected Griffith, the last person known to have seen Flores-Narvaez alive.

They got their big break when they learned he'd bought cement and taken out a U-Haul, using a credit card for the rental, shortly after Debbie's December 12 disappearance. The U-Haul had a tracking device that indicated it had traveled to a house in downtown Las Vegas.

Homicide cops descended on the location and made the tragic discovery.

Flores-Narvaez, 31,  performed in the Cirque du Soleil show Love, and was enormously popular in the Vegas showgirl community.

She'd given up law to pursue her passion for dance.

Arrest Report: Las Vegas Dancer's Body Found in 2 Tubs of Cement

LAS VEGAS -- The man accused of killing a Las Vegas dancer told police the crime happened in the heat of the moment, according to the arrest report.

Jason "Blu"Griffith was arrested Friday night at the Mirage where he performs as a dancer in the Love show. He is accused of killing Deborah Flores-Narvaez who was reported missing in December after going to visit Griffith.

Read the arrest report  http://www2.8newsnow.com/docs/griffith.pdf

The arrest report details how police were tipped to a vacant home in downtown Las Vegas where the dancer's dismembered body was found in cement in two plastic tubs.

A friend of Griffith's, told police that initially Flores-Narvaez's body was in one plastic tub with cement but the two men broke it out of the tub because it was leaking. The friend, Louis Colombo described to police how Griffith used a handsaw to cut of Flores-Narvaez's legs so they could fit her body into two tubs.

In the arrest report, Colombo said he learned of the murder after he showed up at Griffith's home and Griffith told him this was a "Change your diaper moment."  Colombo said the woman's body was lying on the floor and he got sick to his stomach.

Police say Griffith initially told one officer when he was being transported to the Clark County Detention Center that Flores-Narvaez attacked him. He also said he did all the "amateurish stuff" afterwards.

Showgirl's Boyfriend Called Murder a Crime of Passion, Police Say
January 10, 2011

The man accused of killing a Las Vegas showgirl told detectives her death was a "heat of the moment thing," and police say his roommate helped stash the woman's dismembered body, according to an arrest report obtained by PEOPLE.

Jason "Blu" Griffith, 32, and the other man attempted to hide the body of Debbie Flores-Narvaez, 31, in a cement tub in multiple places before they finally dismembered the remains and stored them in a home whose residents were out of the country, the report says.

Griffith was arrested early Saturday morning for the murder and is due in court Wednesday. The unidentified roommate "agreed to tell detectives what happened if he would not be arrested or prosecuted on the condition he did not have anything to do with the murder," the report says.

So far, the unidentified roommate has not been arrested.

According to the report, Flores-Narvaez and Griffith argued inside Griffith's home on the evening of Dec. 12. Griffith's roommate "had to pull Griffith off of Flores-Narvaez because he was choking her with his hands around her neck," the report says.

The roommate left after things calmed down, then returned only to find Flores-Narvaez dead. He was not present when she was killed, the report indicates, but acknowledged that he helped in trying to hide and dispose of they body.

The two men put the body into an empty plastic tub, covering it with concrete they had just purchased, according to the report. After renting a U-Haul truck to transport the tub, Griffith and his roommate intended to store the tub in several friends' apartments.

They were in the process of moving the tub to a friend's home, but she told them to leave when they revealed what was in the tub, the report says. They also tried to move it to another person's apartment, but the unit was on the second floor and they couldn't carry it up the stairs, according to the report.

They finally took the body to a home in downtown Las Vegas where the body was stored first in a single tub, then dismembered days later and stored in two separate concrete-filled tubs, the arrest report says. The roommate was at the scene when Griffith allegedly cut up the body with a saw, the report says.

The residents of the home were out of the country and wouldn't be returning soon.

The gruesome arrest report details the volatile relationship between Flores-Narvaez and Griffith, describing three previous domestic violence incidents. While being driven to the Clark County Detention Center, where Griffith is being held without bail, he told detectives the murder "was not a premeditated thing and that it was a heat of the moment thing that happened," the report says

The discovery of Flores-Narvaez's body and Griffith's arrest ended a nearly month-long search for the showgirl, who starred in Luxor's Fantasy and danced professionally at several of the Las Vegas's top nightclubs.

"Dexter" -- the show about a charming serial killer -- was used as bait to lure a Las Vegas showgirl to her death ... this according to investigators.
According to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, 31-year-old Deborah Flores-Narvaez told her roommate she was going to her boyfriend's house to watch "Dexter" on December 12 ... the last day she was seen alive.

Cops believe when Deborah got to her BF's house, the two got into a fight -- and the BF choked her to death. Cops believe the BF -- an alleged scumbag named Jason Griffith -- then chopped off her legs and buried her in cement in an effort to hide the body.

Eventually, Jason's roommate -- who was allegedly involved in hiding the body -- informed police about the killing and led cops to Flores-Narvaez's corpse.

Griffith was arrested and charged in connection with the murder -- and according to the Las Vegas Sun, he told police the killing was "not a premeditated thing."

Police: Dancer was lured to ex's home
January 10, 2011

Investigators believe the ex-boyfriend of slain Las Vegas dancer and former NFL cheerleader Deborah "Debbie" Flores-Narvaez used the Showtime drama "Dexter" to entice her to his home before her brutal murder, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department told TMZ on Monday.

Flores-Narvaez, 31, told her roommate she was going to the North Las Vegas home of Jason "Blu" Griffith to watch the show on Dec. 12, the last day she was seen alive.

After she arrived, a fight erupted between the couple and Griffith allegedly choked her to death. With the help of his roommate, Louis Colombo, Griffith then dismembered and buried her remains in plastic tubs covered in cement, according to a police report.

Griffith, 32, was arrested Jan. 8 and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

BREAKING NEWS: Coroner Determines Cause of Dancer's Death

Jan. 11, 2011

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's office has ruled that asphyxiation was the cause of death for Las Vegas dancer Debora Flores Narvaez.

The coroner says Flores Narvaez died as a result of compression to her neck.

The 31-year-old woman's body was discovered dismembered in two cement filled trunks. Her ex-boyfriend, Jason "Blu" Griffith has been arrested in connection with her murder. He is also a dancer and performed in the Love show. He was in court in North Las Vegas Tuesday morning for his 72 hour hearing. His bail was denied.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez Update: Ex-Boyfriend Allegedly Dumped Dancer's Dismembered Body in Cement
January 11, 2011

LAS VEGAS (CBS/KLAS) Jason "Blu" Griffith, the man accused of killing Las Vegas burlesque dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez, told officers that his ex-girlfriend's death was a "heat of the moment thing," according to the arrest report.
(snip)
According to police reports, Griffith and Flores-Narvaez got into a physical confrontation the night she allegedly went missing, reports CBS affiliate KLAS. Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, reported to police he had to pull Griffith off of Flores-Narvaez because he was choking her. Colombo says he eventually left, but when he returned, Flores-Narvaez was dead on the floor.

The roommates then placed the body in a plastic tub and later filled it with concrete, according to the arrest report. Griffith reportedly rented a U-Haul and the two men took the tub to the house of a friend who was out of the country.

But at some point, the tub began to leak and a couple of days later, the men returned with two new tubs, a sledge hammer, hand saw and cleaning supplies, reports KLAS. Both men allegedly dismembered Flores-Narvaez's body and placed the parts in the two new tubs and once again filled them with cement before hiding the tubs in a closet.

At a Saturday news conference, police said they got a vital tip from one of Griffith's friends, which led them to the dancer's body.

When investigators contacted Colombo, he agreed to provide a statement if they agreed not to arrest him for Flores-Narvaez's murder. However, defense attorney John Momot, who isn't connected to this case, says even if police agreed to a deal the district attorney doesn't have to honor the agreement and can still file charges.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez, the victim's sister, is furious that Colombo has not been arrested.

"In my book, they're both killers," she said. "They're both murderers. They both should be held accountable."

Griffith is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing January 11.

Ex-boyfriend held without bail in ‘Fantasy’ dancer’s death
January 11, 2011

Jason Griffith made his first court appearance Tuesday morning before a North Las Vegas judge after being arrested Saturday in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend, Luxor "Fantasy" dancer Debora Flores Narvaez.

Griffith, 32, who is being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center, appeared for a 72-hour hearing before Justice of the Peace Natalie Tyrrell via a video screen.

Tyrrell called out his name and Griffith walked slowly to a microphone in the jail. He said nothing and stood stoically in front of the camera.

"The charge is murder and you're going to continue to be held without bail at this time. You may be seated," Tyrrell told him from her North Las Vegas courtroom.

Later in the morning, the court set Griffith's formal arraignment for 8 a.m. Wednesday in North Las Vegas Justice Court.

Also Tuesday morning, the district attorney's office filed a formal complaint against Griffith, charging him with three felonies: murder, battery constituting domestic violence - strangulation, and destroying evidence.

The Clark County Coroner's Office ruled Tuesday her death was the result of asphyxiation due to neck compression.

According to a police report released Monday, Flores Narvaez's body was found dismembered, encased in concrete in two plastic tubs at a Las Vegas apartment after she had been missing since Dec. 12.

The police report indicates Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, said Griffith killed Flores Narvaez and that he helped Griffith try to dispose of the body.

Colombo, who has not been arrested, told police the two of them first encased the body in cement in a large plastic tub. Colombo told police they tried to store it at a friend's apartment, but the woman refused when she was told that Florez Narvaez was in the tub.

Colombo told police he and Griffith then decided to break the body out of the large plastic tub and dismember it so it would fit into two smaller plastic tubs. They filled the two tubs with cement and stored them in an apartment near Bonanza Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard, according to the police report.

Police learned the location of the body after the woman came to them and then they questioned Colombo, who gave them the location, the police report said.

Ex-Boyfriend Faces Multple Charges In Former Redskins Cheerleader Murder
January 11, 2011

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Prosecutors filed murder and other charges against a Las Vegas dancer accused of strangling his former girlfriend, sawing off her legs and covering her body with concrete, according to a criminal complaint released Tuesday.

Jason Griffith, 32, is due in court Wednesday for an arraignment and probable cause hearing on charges of murder, battery domestic violence and destroying evidence filed in the strangulation of 31-year-old Debora Flores Narvaez.

A coroner's report found that Flores Narvaez, a burlesque dancer, was asphyxiated before she was encased in the concrete. Her death was ruled a homicide, Clark County Assistant Coroner John Fudenberg said.

Griffith did not speak as he appeared briefly Tuesday by video monitor in North Las Vegas Justice Court, where a judge ordered him held without bail.

Flores Narvaez's dismembered body was found early Saturday in two plastic tubs in a downtown Las Vegas home after she was reported missing on Dec. 14. Police said Griffith sawed off her legs and stored them in plastic bags before storing her body in the containers.

Griffith was arrested Saturday as he was leaving his job at the Cirque du Soleil show "Love" at the Mirage hotel and casino. Griffith had performed in the "Love" show since April 2008.

He told police he killed Flores Narvaez during an argument in "a heat of the moment thing," according to an arrest report.

Flores Narvaez danced in the burlesque show "Fantasy" at the Luxor hotel and casino.

Her family planned a memorial service Thursday night in Las Vegas.
The coroner's report said the family wanted her name published as Flores Narvaez, but the dancer spelled her name Deborah Flores-Narvaez on several personal websites verified by her only sister.

Police records showed Flores Narvaez and Griffith had been dating for about a year when police responded to a domestic violence call involving the couple on Oct. 22.

She told police she was pregnant with Griffith's child when he stole her phone, pushed her to the ground, kicked her and yanked out her hair. Griffith denied hitting her.

Flores Narvaez told her roommate she was going to watch "Dexter," a television show about a serial killer, with Griffith on Dec. 12. Police said Griffith killed her that night in his home.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez Update: Sister of Slain Dancer Removed From Court After Emotional Outburst
January 13, 2011

The sister of slain burlesque dancer Debora Flores-Narvaez, whose dismembered body was found in two cement plastic tubs Friday, was removed from a North Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday after screaming at the man accused of murdering her sister.
"I hope you rot in hell," yelled the victim's sister, Celeste Flores Narvaez, before bailiffs escorted her out of the courtroom.

Jason "Blu" Griffith, 32, was charged with murder, battery-domestic violence with strangulation, and destruction of evidence in connection with the dancer's death.

Police say Griffith strangled his former girlfriend, cut off her legs and covered her body with concrete, reports CBS affiliate KLAS.

Debora was reported missing Dec.14 by her roommate who became worried when she failed to show up for a performance of "Fantasy," the nightly burlesque show at the Luxor hotel and casino where she worked. Police say she was killed Dec.12.

Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, who reportedly helped Griffith cover-up the murder, asked police for immunity in exchange for information about Debora's murder, according to KLAS. He has not been arrested.

"In my book, they're both killers," said the victim's sister. "They're both murderers. They both should be held accountable."

Defense attorney John Momot, who isn't connected to this case, said even if police agreed to a deal the district attorney doesn't have to honor the agreement and can still file charges against Colombo.

Griffith, a performer in the Cirque du Soleil "Love" show at The Mirage resort-casino, is being held without bail and is due in court again for his preliminary hearing February 15.

Family of murdered dancer sets up memorial fund for domestic violence victims
January 13, 2011

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - After a morning outburst in the courtroom, the sister of a murdered woman takes action to make sure other women don't face the same fate.

The family of the Luxor dancer, allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend is setting up a fund to help other women caught in the cycle of domestic abuse.

Celeste Flores Narvaez says she was surprised when she saw her sister's accused killer, Jason Griffith, in North Las Vegas court Wednesday morning.

"I hope you rot in hell you f---ing ---hole for what you did to her! you f---ing ---hole, i hope you rot in hell, i hope you rot in hell," Celeste yelled from the back of the courtroom.

"I guess I just kind of blacked out and said it," Celeste said later.

Impossible to judge what its like to be in her shoes.    Celeste spent days searching for her sister, Deborah Flores Narvaez, only to learn police found her dismembered body encased in cement in an abandoned house.   Police say strangled to death by Griffith.

"its really extremely important for women to understand that they don't have to deal with this, that they can talk to somebody, they don't have to be afraid," Celeste says.

Celeste wants women to know they can talk to people like Marlene Richter, of The Shade Tree, a shelter for abused women.

"In this case we were holding out hope that maybe she was hiding somewhere, so this was the worst possible outcome, what a tragedy," Richter says.

Celeste has set up a fund to take donations in Debbie's name.    Anything left over from funeral expenses will go to The Shade Tree's Survivor Services Center.

"That's there memorial tribute to her, to help others," Marlene says.

"There's always a way out. It doesn't have to be like this," Celeste says.

The fund for Debora Flores Narvaez is set up at Nevada State Bank under her name.

A public vigil will also be held for Debora from 11am to noon this Friday at Luxor's Atrium Showroom.
