Enjoyed Dana's show, as always.  
Jossy had some very interesting things to say about their government.  If they do align with Chavez I can see all these wannabe dictators in Aruba with their heads on poles once it becomes a fact.

Only heard that last 15 minutes of the show, will have to go to the podcast later.  But I liked what I heard and LOVED the music tonight.  I'm always bopping to Dana's tunes, but tonight he outdid himself by slowin' it down with Righteous Bros. and True Love Ways.  

If we write to the Miami association for Jossy, what are we supposed to say?  Don't let Dictator Oduber silence him?  What's wrong with those Arubans, why aren't they protesting?  Are they putting something in the water as well as the drinks now?

LaLa's:  It's easier for people to see if they turn up the brightness on
their monitors.  I really didn't see the arm until I did that.

DId you ever find out how big the bag was or when the pictures were
taken?

No way to know exactly when the video was taken other than it was before it was uploaded to the aru-bay site.  I don't remember the exact date on this video..might have been around June 15?  Not sure.  That is when it was uploaded so it could have been video'd any time before that.

The size of the drain area the bag was in was about 4ft square and probably at least that deep (I think)

A few days ago, Carpe said that he was reviewing the video taken at the
rock area and there was a portion of the video that consisted of a van
that had the back window knocked out.  There were men in some kind
of suits, like anti-viral suits (?), that were removing the bodies from the
rock area... is that right?

Ohhhh.... it's funny that you were talking about Max de Vries, because
last night I was doing some research.  There is very little information
available on the internet, but from the stuff that I read it sounded like
he and a man that his mom had met at the hotel that they were staying
at had gone out on jet skis.  According to this man, Max's jet ski had
stalled so he turned aroung to go to where he was and his jet ski stalled
also.  So the two of them waited in the water for resuers.  Max got tired
and was taken away by the current.  In another account, the story was
the same, except they had started swimming to shore and Max got
taken away with the current.  The part of the story that I find hard to
believe is that the man's jet ski, supposedly, stalled at the same spot.
What would cause that?  I've never heard of such a thing.  But with all
the human trafficking that goes on there, and with the siting of Max in
South America (if that is true) the whole disappearance of Max could
have been a hoax... a true kidnapping.

Also I read up on the disappearance of William "Bud" Larson.  According
to what I read, he didn't die while wind surfing.  I read that he had gone
to the rental shop to pick up his board that he had reserved, to find that
it had been rented to someone else.  He had an arguement with the
people in the wind-surfing shop and left... he was never seen again.  I
read that Aruban authorities put his family through the same wild goose
chase as they had put Natalee's family through.

Anyway...  I just thought that it was amazing that you were talking about
Max de Vries today, when I was thinking about him, just lastnight.

Carpe hasn't gotten back to me on the dimensions of the basin, but I suspect Klaas is right when she says about 4 ft. square and at least that deep.  

I will add this for those that are interested.  In the previous thread this afternoon, Chicago 510 posted something that I decided to test.  He/She said that when first viewing the videos the idea of them being a type of retracing the steps on the fateful night occured to him/her.  I then went back and watched the videos without stopping.  I just sat there and watched them without any interruption and I discovered that could very well be true.  While I sat there watching things that last year made no sense to me made perfect sense.  

There is the part where the silver sedan is following the red police truck into the quarry ( I think I have that right) and there is a spot there where the driver turns to face the camera.  Eleye and I looked for that pic forever.  I also saw it on Carpe's photobucket that Angie gave the me link to.  I was determined to find it, because I had seen it before and knew it was there.    Everyone that is interested should find the time to just sit and watch the video.  It is much clearer to me that this is not just a vacation video, it was made to send a message.  I think I have realized today just how much corruption in involved and just how much is being covered up. Jossy just iced the cake for me tonight.

Did we move that enhanced reflection from the car over here yet?  How do I do that?  I can always blow the margins again if necessary.   :lol:

One thing that did occur to me was in the  video the person with the camera gets out of the car and walks around.  I think this is where you see the feet of the camera person.  I noticed that after a few seconds they walk over to the basin with the bag.  How did they know that bag was there?  Maybe they didn't.  If that is the case then how is it possible that there is an image of a hand in the bag?  Some days I have more questions than answers.  As I watched, I could see the trip to the lighthouse and realized that the shark story is even more ridiculous than I first thought.  There is a clear view of the ocean from the lighthouse and if there was a shark out in those waters I would not be able to see in daylight, much less at night.  Then the red police truck drives up around the lighthouse.  I thought, that must be where the two cars that Deepak or Joran sees at the lighthous in their statements.  They were just parked there.  They were either waiting for them or they had no relation to the situation.  The more I watched the more things made sense to me.

I have a book right here beside the computer (it is where I keep track of the time differences)  :lol:  :lol:

Patti, the bag could be quite large as it is not lying flat out but is scrunched up around the contents.
I believe the water basin was used as a pick up point for whoever had the job of disposal, rather than someone trying to dispose of it through the water trap.

Absolutely!  Jossy was on Dana tonight and he talked about the boycott of his newspaper Diario and how the govt on Aruba is mad him because he uncovered a bribery scheme.  Seems that they are all angry they got caught. He also said that there are no records left on Max Devries any longer. Then he laid a bombshell on us.  He said that Chavez and MEP( the party in power) are big buddies.  The people of Aruba had better take their island back and quick.  Seems the Dutch are eager to align themselves with Venezuela.  It's all here somewhere you just have to skip backa nd forth.

I think Anna is right.... the face in the reflection is the guy who has the
security business.  I'm just trying to figure out why he would be making
a documentary on the disposal of Natalee Holloway.  That's what the
video's look like to me.... a documentary.  Someone is trying very
hard to tell us something, alright,  but is that something even true?  Or is it just something that they put together to make us all think that Natalee
is dead?

If he, or anyone for that matter, was privy to the information on where
the police were going... to the degree that he could stand back and film
their cars as they arrive, and mosey around while they painted rocks and
supposedly, bag up the bodies, it just doesn't make any sense that he
would release the information without either being a witness to the
corruption, publicly, or be dead.... unless it is all a hoax.

Bear with me... because most of you think that the sons of the officials
were involved in the death of Natalee, even though there is no proof of that... but what if they weren't?  

What  if the arrests of their sons was a means to blackmail the officials to go along with the cover-up... or, in the case of the security businessman.... a kidnapping and a cover up... a documentary... to make it look like she was dead.  There is no  easier way to stop the search for a loved one's daughter, than to have evidence that she is dead.  But what if Natalee isn't dead?  What if all those pictures that we have been looking at are nothing more than make believe... a painted picture to go along with the painted rocks?

Maybe it's late... and I'm working overtime here... but it just doesn't make sense to me that you would have so many bodies lying around.  Who would go to so much trouble taking pictures, but nothing more????

I'm trying to figure out what is going on.  I asked a LONG time ago what was the significance of the bracelet Natalee had on and the picture here.  No one saw fit to answer me.  Now I am wondering where the heck this picture or "reflection" came from.

My understanding is that the reflection in the windshield is from an aruba bay video and I think some believe it may be the videographer that took the videos.

The bracelet shows up in a still shot taken from the Aru Bay video of the bag in the water basin which shows a forearm wearing what appears to be the bracelet.

Also the reflection is taken from shots taken inside a car and shows the photographer (?).  This is where the video went on what appears to be a tour of the likely route that J2K took Natalee.

I won't be offended AT ALL to be corrected, but I'm thinking that he is of interest because some feel he knew what happened to Natalee and that's why he was taking the video. IF that's right, then identifying him could be the whole case solved.

If this face reflection is the same person as the feet shown in the video then it has to be a dark skinned person.  
I am still waiting for someone to tell me what they think is the extra that is attached about halfway along the foot shown in the video (the foot with the suspect 6 toes), so don't feel too bad, Casa.

What I can't figure out is how many times do they have to dispose of her?

We see pictures at the rocks, which supposedly shows her lying on the
ground with her right arm cut off... or atleast that's what I saw.

And now, we have her in this bag... what?  The same day, or just days
before or after the rocks scene?

I'm not trying to be funny here, but in a way, it is funny... why is it that
the police are having such a hard time disposing of their evidence?

Thank you, crazybabyborg and Tibrogargan.  I asked questions much earlier tonight and was totally ignored.  I left and am just now coming back.  Sometimes I wonder why some questions are answered and others are not.  I think it depends on the person asking the question.

Sorry I missed Dana's show, thanks to all of you who transcribed.  I have been looking at this  picture that Carp posted earlier today, that is the reflection of the windshield of the car in the videos. I'm having a problem with the size of things.  I was thinking that square object at the top was maybe the reflection of the picture posted of what someone thought was the folded newspaper with cd cartridge sitting on the dashboard.  Does anybody else think this? Could it appear that small? If so, what does that do for the size of the face we are seeing?

You will need to review that last thread to understand it all.  It is a bit long I have to admit.  I have been looking at it since early this morning.  The bracelet was one of those paper things that you get as admission to something like an amusement park that lets you go in and out without paying again and again.  I think her bracelet was for admission to the casino and stuff on  Aruba.

The little boy Max Devries that was lost on the jet ski is the one I am talking about.   Ms Marple sent questions for Dana to ask him tonight and one was about the case of Max Devries.  Jossy said the records no longer exist.  So sad.  Just told me what is about to happen with Natalee.  That island is past corruption I think they have turned are venturing into the depths of hell itself.

casa, I'm sorry that happened. All I can say is that it has happened to me many times and I've seen it happen to others too. I think it depends more on who is here at the time as some people have a theory about certain events and others are not so sure so they tend to let it pass.  And I am sure a lot do not have the time to read back so they miss some of the questions also or think it is too late to answer.  By the time I get here most days I have missed a lot of the discussions because of the time difference.  You can feel invisible sometimes too I agree, but it would not be intentional I am sure.

Relative size would be really hard to determine, IMO, because of the slant of the windshield, hummingbird. Good question, though!

Hummingbird - we have different people finding different things and enhancing/enlarging photos at different increments.  Can't really compare sizes because of that.

FWIW it looks to me like a small radio sized thingy which could be sitting on the dashboard of the car.  In one shot I thought it was something outside of the car but the more I look it seems to be just a small squarish item.  Did someone earlier say it could be something to do with the stereo or am I confused??????

Well, we could crop the face in half, flip it and put it back together. Because it isn't a full front view, it will skew it, but I'll try. I really think this guy is rubbing his eye and I don't see a big size difference between one side of his face and the other. One eye is closed, IMO and the reason that side side is so messed up is because we're looking at his hand over his face.

Would it work better by just reversing his reflection so it is not a mirror image - it is just as we would see it face to face.  No one has both sides of their face the same.  If you split in half and reverse it will look odd and nothing like the person in real life.

Anyone else think it possible the rock painting, etc. was staged to create a crime scene as a part of Plan B.  Something happened to make it not possible to use and off them went to Plan C.

I think the Security Police or Beach Patrol was in the process of fabricating a crime scene of some sort with all that.  I mean, what are the chances of actually photographing those things otherwise?  

There is something very staged about the rock painting and some of the other aspects of the videos.  Maybe they were creating a crime scene to use in the framing of the security guards?  Then when that didn't work out, they couldn't use it and had to make it all disappear?

Could be anything, we just don't know what we are looking at or for.

No.... what I mean is if you look to the left you will see his left eye... it
is larger and you will see the left side of his lip.  I don't know why his
face is reflecting off the glass like that... it could be because he's moving
or because the light being reflected off the glass is changing because the
car is moving... but I definately (I think) see his left eye and the left side
of his mouth to the left of his face.

No it doesn't. Not really near the rocks.  The bag and pond was near the Marriott and the Fisherman's Huts.  The rocks are on the other side of the Lighthouse.

Lala's I agree with you here.  The possibility of her being shot is quite possible.  Don't forget that we had a poster called Viet Vet say that he was told by the Head Master that Joran it Natalee with a bat.  What if she was in such bad shape that Paulus knew Joran was in deep shit.  How was he going to explain it to the police.  Basically you can't so Paulus' only other alternative was to make sure she is dead.  Who would have a gun in the Van der Sloot home.  I think that would be Paulus the Judge in training and other illegal activities.  So now we have not only Joran in big trouble but Paulus also.  Kalpoes know exactly what happened to Natalee and who did it.  They saw Joran in his rage that night and did nothing to help Natalee.  Like Beth said to Deepak "did you help her Deepak" when she went to the cafe and confronted him.  Deepak knew he didn't and that was part of the reason why she died.  Deepak could have saved her and he didn't.  Deepak acts like such a tough guy but he couldn't even step forward and help Natalee because he was too afraid of Joran.  This is why Joran is sweet talking Deepak in the email exchange.  He is treating Deepak like the wuss he is.

I definitely believe that at one point Natalee did wake up and she started screaming.  Let's not forget that when they were first arrested one of the 3 rapists said she started freaking out.  What would make her freak out.  Her waking up and being sexually assulted by that monster Joran or Paulus and seeing other people around her and another person with a camera would make a person fight for their life.

Once Natalee woke up she was never going to be seen again whether she was dead or alive.  The risk was too great for the Van der Sloots.

Carpe,  funny thing about those videos.  Let it play through then take your mouse and slide the arrow back and forth slowly,  You'd be totally surprised at what you can pick up in a frame there.  I forget which video it is but one of fireworks you can not only see the car, but you can pick out people on the hill and standing off to the side watching, This is something that you didn't see just watching the video.  Pretty weird if you ask me.

The reflection is hard to make out even with enhancement.

It is a reflection off auto glass, not a duplicate image of a person.

I won't be able to repond quickly to posts. I work for a corporation out of my home office and am busy all day. I have this computer on a desk that's near the desk with my business computer.

On the video frames. I'm beginning to wonder if the AruBay videos were taken with a VHS camera. If so, the videos may have been recorded on a used tape that had already been recorded. We may be seeing face images from the old recording that were not entirely erased from the tape.

Having used a VHS, I would never have thought that the images/reflections were left over from a previous recording.  If that's the case, it would explain why the reflections discussed do not show the camera person.  

I have relatives in the midwest, but here in the east, we'd like some warming, as well.  It was colder, with flurries, on Easter Sunday than it was Christmas & New Year's Eve.

Thank you for saying it that way.  I was trying to figure out how to mention the dark feet in comparison to the person we think it is.  If this person is barefoot in the video..then it is not Yolanda.  If the foot is wearing shoes that is another story.  I see painted toenails in the video, so I think maybe barefoot, but look what they are walking on...it appears to be gravel.

The aru-bay site seems to be upset about the arrest of the security guards.

I wonder what the shiny spots to the left of the foot are? At first I thought it was some sort of metal strip and that it ran under a black sandal.

Makes me wonder how they/he/she knew to go there at that hour...and also wonder how the other locations were determined, if not from inside info....just revisiting old thoughts after rereading that aru-bay notice....

Do you think that the videos could have been of the creation of a fake crime scene to frame the security guards?  When that fell through because of MB students in the lobby all night, they had to go back and un-do the crime scene?

Could that be what we are seeing?

Also remember the vandalization of the cemetery.  That might also account for spare body parts we seem to encounter at every turn.

Just thoughts but is this what you mean about the vids and Ed Smith knowing they were not of any actual crime scene?

Run for cover. Could be some margin destruction again. I've resized the photo as was suggested and am going to try to it again in a minute or so.

I don't have one shred of proof of this and am just too rushed to go through any photos I may have saved however:

If you have a better resolution and enlarge the "bare foot" it turns out to be a sort of moccasin with triangular light contrasting stitches for what we are seeing as toenails.

Since I am offering no proof of this, feel free to believe/disbelieve at will.  I just saw long ago a very clear enlargement of that foot.  I too thought it a barefoot and really liked that idea.  Seems I discovered it was not maybe in a discussion with Sharon once upon a time.

The higher res photo may have been posted by Kermit at BFN.  If anyone has access to his photos, you might find it there but the "toenails" look like perfect triangles, in a pattern of stitching joining the top part of the shoe to the bottom.

Someone else may remember it that way as well for verification but as i said, feel free to take this or leave it.

Yes, that will probably work although I haven't done avatars that way.  Then you need to copy from photobucket the url without the IMG tags and paste it into the THIRD option in your profile for avatars.  Give it a try and see if it works.  We can always fix it  :wink:

Where did this pic originate from? Not where someone on the this blog has it stored, but the actual location or source it came from and when?
In this one the "fabricated Lee" hasn't been elongated yet. As a matter of fact the staps seen in the doctored photos almost look like tan lines in this photo and it appears she might be standing around the corner of the bar watching the dance floor just as "cammo guy" appears to be doing.
The only oddity I see when I blow it up and play with colors, contrast etc is that perhaps the sideburns of the sitting "cammo guy" are photoshopped in.

After I get an answer to the source and date on this pic I have a few more pics I want to get source and dates on. I am seeing some odd stuff from photo to photo on these "Natalee dancing on the bar" pics.

You sample has been adjusted quite a bit, but I'm sure the original was one of those posted by Dan at RWV on July 22, 2005.  They were said to have been received by Dan Riehl from a tourist who just happened to be in Aruba at the same time as NH.

I think it was you last night that said the image/reflection in the picture looked like vancromviort? I agree with that. He has sure kept a low profile despite his son's likely involvement.

Across the pond...that would most likely mean the Netherlands.  By this time Simian was assuming that the evidence that had been sent to the Hague was safe and secure.  We know that is not likely at this point.

Yes, those are the photos of the barefoot that show perfect triangles where the toenails should be.  I think stitching of contrasting color to attach top of shoe to bottom.  Shoe is dark brown or black with stitching white or cream colored.

Do you see the triangles or am I imagining things again?

I could make a dirty comment here , but as I see you are still writing, and I already blew the margins 1X , I won't say it.

That's because it probably isn't there but in the photo Klaas just posted, look at the red cooler, water container and go to the right until you see a red smudge in the rocks.  That would be the middle of the dog's back.  The head it up with ears out and you can't see the back legs, they are behind the rocks.

I think like clouds, we all see things most familiar to us perhaps.

Okay... I'll tell you what I see.

I see a woman lying on her belly.  Her left arm bent upward, her right arm is amputated and is pointing downward.  She has a lot of blood on her left side of her back, the blood is dripping down and forming a pool
along the edge of the white towel that someone has placed over her
buttocks.  Her left leg is bent outward and her ankles either have ropes
tied around them or have blood stains from where she had fought with
restraints.

Her head is entact.

Does anyone else see that?!?!?!??!?

You might try adjusting your contrast.... I have mine turned up all the way.  And on those dark shots, like the ones of the bag, I turn my brightness up all the way... that helps.

It is even more frustrating when you see something that is so clear to you
and no one else sees it.  I know Carpe knows what I'm talking about because , how else would he have known which link to send me to... it's there.

One day prior to the activity at the rocks ... on June 10, 2005 ... there was a reported admission by one of the main suspects.  Could it be that all this activity at the rocks was related to that admission?  Could it be that Aruba was going through the motions of an investigation for the sake of public relations while knowing darn well that Natalee Holloway was no longer there?  Could it be that unknown to the suspects Natalee had been moved from where she had first been placed?  Could that Natalee had been moved by "somebody close to the young suspects"?

There WERE ABSOLUTELY body parts at the rocks. What we are looking at in the ARUBAY TAPES are not Natalee's remains, I don't think. I thought
so for the longest, but not anymore.

Carpe---Last week when the topic was the photoshopped bar scenes I clicked one of your Photobucket links.  While I was browsing in there I saw a pic of Natalee's hand with the band on her wrist.It is a pic of the bag in the basin.  I remember being shocked when I saw that pic because it was clearly that.  I hurried and clicked out because honestly it made me sad.  It made it too real.

Yes that is the one that I find the most poignant.  Then it makes you angry that we cannot get answers so Natalee's family can get some resolution to all this.  I cannot imagine what they are still going through every day.

Hi bb - how far are the gravesites that were vandalised from the lighthouse area?

For those monkeys that are having difficulty seeing the reflection in the car windscreen, I was having trouble with that yesterday.  Sitting here staring at my computer screen and then the doorbell went.  Went to answer that and on way back just looked at screen and the reflection was there as clear as if it were a picture.  Must have just caught it in the right light and angle.

Also I have a spell checker on this - no idea where it came from but all my different spelling gets highlighted all the time - where I include "u" and "s for z" etc  :lol:  :lol:

After looking at this photo for the past two days the only thing I see is a person walking barefoot and they have five toes.

These other two both originated at Reihl World. The tall narrow one on July 22 2005 and the other on March23 2006. I'm very interested in these becasue all three have been manipulated. The most blatant manipulations are in the March 23 2006 photo that "the tourist time stamped at 12:14:57".

adoronron - to my knowledge Dan Riehl is the one who originally posted all the photos but what happened after that is anyones guess.  Only a couple of the photos are still on his site, he took some of them down.  He supposidly received 20 some odd photos from the tourist.
The photos were originally posted on July 22, 2005 at RWV but many have been altered since then.

I love Lala's and Anna to pieces, but I have to say that this photo looks to me as if it's the bare foot of a dark-skinned person.

Two of the photo's that I have I got directly from Dan's site. It's just that particular one that I am still trying to find the source of. Perhaps it's one of the many that Dan removed.
It concerns me that in a situation as serious as this, someone fed Dan and others manipulated photo's for public viewing. I'm not going to stop on this until I'm satisfied I have as much info on these as I can find.

I agree, that is my concern as well.  Even the narrow photo that remains on RWV today is the same manipulated one.  So why would it be necessary to send manipulated photos to Dan in July 2005.  At that time the Aruban's and Joran supporters were doing everything they could to paint Natalee in a bad light.  I think they thought by showing a photo of her possibly dancing on the bar at CnC, we would believe she was other than a nice girl.  They were wrong.

IMO there is no way there is a shark in the rock site photos.  That rock site is not near the ocean, nor is there an inlet in that area.  You can see the ocean from there, but it is not close enough for a shark to be there.

Inreference to where she says above:about Natalee being MOVED from where SHE HAD FIRST BEEN PLACED....This made me think about what Tim Miller found.....a SHALLOW GRAVE  that had someone in, that was later moved. We must remember that there was no DNA found in the grave and they said it was because they could've put the body in a BAG, a PLASTIC BAG!!....So could Natalee have first been in the shallow grave, that Tim Miller found...and then have been moved to the basin in that white bag? I saw that monkeys were asking about the size of the cement area containing the bag that is on the AruBay video.  Klaasend and BB are correct - it is approx. 4 ft by 4 ft and is large enough to hold (sorry...) a curled up body.

Some long, long time monkeys will recall 'tests' where one of our monkeys tried to curl up in a bag that would fit in that size area to prove it.  

Monkeys are great at tests - other tried duct taping their hair, etc. to prove/disprove the surfer guy comment, etc. :wink:

Anything higher than 1024x768 is overkill.

Unless you have a very large monitor and just want several screens open at the same time any higher resolution just gets harder to read.

I know several folks who still use 800x600 because of just being more comfortable with the font sizes at that resolution, even on 19" and larger monitors.

I suspicion a lot of folks here are also at the lower resolution because of all the wailing about blowing the margins.

Kind of a conundrum for website designers wanting to keep up with all the latest resolutions and then having to deal with all the folks who seem to be maintaining the lower resolutions on their computers.
