doing some catch up - I have some heart shaped stickers that puffs when wet......

My daughter and I have used some heart shaped stickers before and they're not supposed (or should I say they don't advertise it) to but when they get wet they puff up aka become 3d or raised & stay that way.  We've used different sticker brands & several of them do it.  She's two & loves stickers & water!

Don't know if it's relevant but just a thought.

The prosecution says it expects to rest its case following a few housekeeping matters in the murder trial of Casey Anthony, the Florida mother accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter.

State attorneys say they only have to introduce a few pieces of evidence Wednesday that are left over from earlier in its case and then it will be done. The defense says it will be ready to call its first witness Thursday, but only if a standard motion asking the judge to throw out the case is denied.

KC was almost gleeful yesterday.  I'm sure she's happy that she won't be hearing any more bad stuff about what she did now that the prosecution is resting its case-in-chief.  Wrong!  In KC's world, she thinks it's behind her now and will convince herself that it's all good going-forward.  At least that's what I hope she thinks.  I think she's seen "some" reality, but I do NOT think that KC has accepted her true reality - yet.

I was watching F&F this am and they showed the part where Cindy mouths I love you to KC.. It showed KC's reaction and whoever was standing to KC's right, our left, gave her a strong 'cut it out' nudge.. very telling

Ha...there's no getting away from cell mates and fellow prisoners, either, when they come up behind her and grab that ponytail!  Bet it won't last anytime once she gets transferred to prison.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- It's day 30 of Casey Anthony's murder trial and the prosecution will likely rest its case during what's expected to be a shortened day.
But prosecutors still haven't brought in some key evidence, or some important witnesses, including Casey’s ex-boyfriend, her jail-house friend and the man who found Caylee's remains.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said prosecutors still have a few tricks up their sleeves.

He said he believes that the state is not calling all of its witnesses yet, instead waiting to use specific people to rebut the defense’s case after they're done calling their witnesses.

the only thing bozo was right about is that Casey learned to lie at an early age, but not because George molested her but because she watched them lie about everything...Casey has watched G and C lie from the begining of when Caylee was first reported missing and she has watched them lie for her as if she is on a petestal looking down on them. even as early as yesterday she watched cindy lie about the blanket and lie about anything she could. Cindy was shown a  photo of Casey and Caylee which was brought into evidence. She looked at the photo and then quickly wiped one eye and then the other . There were no tears and no liquid to indicate  despair and  most of all no facial expression to indicate tears and upset. It is my view that she was doing this for the purposes of  jury sympathy. These non tear crying and eye wiping of non tears  is  very similar to Casey’s behavior.

Cindy then shows her manipulation as she refuses to answer  Linda Dran Burdick’s question about both containers being similar to the ones she had in her home. All she had to do was answer “yes. “  Instead, she had to be difficult  and say that she didn’t know the size of the first container. No one was  asking  her about  the size of the container .  She was just asked a simple question, that  is often asked to kids  on Sesame Street ” Which  is like the other?”

 When she was grilled,  ,  she finally answered “yes “after wasting  so much unnecessary time.   She needed to have answered “yes”   the first place.

I also think that Cindy was a pushover - always telling George she would handle it and when George got tough with KC he was told to stop acting like a detective.

Here's why I think KC is such a great liar from early years - KC (like all children) tested her parents and found out that with a little manipulation she could get what ever she wanted from Cindy.  She used that and got better and better over the years of getting what she wanted from Cindy.  Cindy even testified on the stand that she believed everything KC was telling her.  How gullible can one person be?!?!

So, KC became a great liar over the years - she had no governor to slow her down (which would have been George) but Cindy didn't want George acting like a detective and we know KC yelled at her dad when he demanded to know where Caylee was - KC yelled at him to stop being a cop and be a dad!  Twisted!!  What caring dad/granddad wouldn't want to know where his family is???

Guess it was hard for Cindy to simply say yes, afterall, "CINDY" was the "one" tying so much evidence against KC to the house yesterday.  IMO, the important point is that she did say "yes".

Can you imagine how p.o.'d KC was to hear her mom tie all that evidence to the house?

there was that story i saw recently where casey got a present from another class mate and when her mom picked her up from school she aske casey why did the girl give you that and the other little girl said its for her birthday and cindy walked away with casey saying she needed to stop lying...soooooo there you go

I hear you.  Totally understand the "tug of war" thing.

This whole thing is disturbing.  I'm worn out at the end of each day, but I waited 3 years for this and I'm going to see it through.  I think I can deal okay with almost anything - EXCEPT - for a verdict like OJ got!  I don't believe G&C would be "safe" is KC is not behind bars.

George and Cindy - most especially Cindy - gave KC way too much leave to do as she pleased....plus, I do think KC was born without a few very necessary genes - after all, Lee was also raised by the same parents and no matter what one may think of Lee, he's no KC!!  I think KC has destroyed the entire family.   They all have their faults.  I don't think LE will ever go after Cindy and/or George because they've just gone through too much so far and it will NEVER be over for George and Cindy....never.

I just thought about something - In one of the jail visits with KC, Cindy asked her where she got Caylee's hair cut. Could it be that Cindy found a wad or a lot of Caylee's hair in the trunk when she was vacuuming it out and thought Caylee had a hair cut because there was so much of it? Or could a large wad of hair be what stopped up their plumbing when Cindy sent Lee to search for KC?  Maybe a wad of it came out and KC tried to flush it. That always hit me as strange, then she tells KC about the plumbing months down the road when it happened in July. Was that to let KC know she found something?

bozo is going to rip kronk to shreds..but still the defense has to explain who put her body there and how kronk got it

I so agree. Cindy was the catalyst in this case and she accepts no responsibility for that by trying to cover up for KC. Caylee's blood is on their hands too. They KNEW KC was psycho - even admitted it time after time. Called her a sociopath to many of her friends including Ryan P. who testified to that in his depo. They KNEW what she was and let her have Caylee knowing that.

To this I would say...Hello!  when the dumbfense introduces EVIDENCE of drowning, the state will present evidence rebuting it.

If this were the case, he could also say that the state didn't prove evidence rebutting that she didn't die from jumping from a plane!!!

yep...and most of the witnesses who have said that Casey was a good mother are young, don't have children themselves, were mostly partiers who were probably drinking and visiting with their friends and not really paying attention to what Caylee and her mother were doing..a good mother does not take her kids out at all hours of the night so she can party..nor does she sleep with numerous men when her child is present etc...Casey could pretend to be a good mother in the presence of others but I shudder to think of how Caylee was treated when no one was watching...

I think she killed animals too as a child. I think she has been doing cruel and crazy things her whole life. Interesting question by the judge. He is going to hold them to providing the evidence they claimed in their opening statement and that is really pissing them off. They "thought" they could get by with that.

You are right. And with the multitude of watchers and listeners, this country will be up in arms over "injustice" for Caylee. Just waaaay too many people following this case. Partly due to the state of the world, i.e., wars, climate changes, state of the economy, etc., so many other tragedies to deal with. Families are struggling to stay together and survive. I would LOVE to see how the defense explains the duct tape.  If it was an accidental drowning, why the need to put Duct tape on poor Caylee's mouth?  Just makes absolutely NO sense. 

The way I understand it is that a conviction on 1st degree, in this case, does NOT have to prove premeditation because Caylee was a child under 12?.  Mason twisted that.

And that a conviction on 1st degree has a mandatory sentence of LWOP or Death.  No lesser sentence for the 1st degree.

Either I am totally confused on Florida laws or Cheney Mason has been around Hoser Bozo too long and needed to sit down and zip it after Dr G handed his adz back to him in a bag!

Unless Florida laws need huge changes a married adult does not become the legal responsibility of the spouse. In most cases even had a spouse tried to file a missing person report immediately they would get sent away after being told their adult spouse has that right to leave.

A child however, is a minor left in the care of an adult and does have laws in place holding who's listed on the birth certificate, or who has legal guardianship entirely responsible for taking precautions to keep that child safe. Which in my state also includes things like, if that person choses to willingly leave that child with a known danger and they've acknowledged or been proven to have knowledge that they knew of that danger, then that parent is at risk for child endangerment charges. If they do prove kc's theory, then she left Caylee alone with who she's accusing, how many times? Now that her daughter is dead, stack those charges and convict her and she won't be getting out anyway.

As Chainsaw Mason blabs away about not relative stuff he needs to explain how missing adult not reported and found in similar circumstances is even relevant to a case involving a baby. I assume there isn't a similar case, found not guilty involving a similar circumstances that did involve a baby and that speaks volumes.

Desperate and grasping is one thing, and obviously needed with this client, but desperate and grasping on the basis of non relevant cases and tying up the courts even longer has to be infuriating to JP.

I agree with that, Tupelo.  Cindy can love her daughter and still tell the truth.  Loving her daughter, standing by her daughter does not, IMO, require that she sell her soul to the devil.  Actually, I hope that Cindy Anthony is haunted by the face and memory of Caylee until the last day she lives. And that she remembers what she did when she decided to abandon that memory in order to save Caylee's murderer from facing judgement for what she did. In fact, IMO, loving Caylee requires that she help bring Caylee's nurderer to face the consequences of what she did, even though it is her own daughter, spawn of satan.

There was testimony by Amy (cruise ship employee) that Casey had told Amy, her Mother Cindy was crazy.  etc. She went on to explain ICA'S demeanor in the vehicle after the three of them left Tonys.   
Due to the things ICA told Amy, Amy said she was frightened of Cindy.

I'm in absolute agreement.  I have been so outspoken in my visceral dislike of Cindy, but I'm on the fence on what she will do.  The hardest thing to have dealt with is the unpredictability of all the characters in this case.  I don't know which way to jump.  I have every confidence in the State, and know that the defense will make some ridiculous blunders, but they are all loose cannons. After 19 days and 70 witness testimonies, prosecutors have finished presenting their case against Casey Anthony.
Jurors were in and out of the courtroom in less than five minutes Wednesday morning, and the defense is expected to begin with its case Thursday -- unless it can get the court to acquit the 25-year-old defendant now.

I don't see where the defense has any choice now but to put KC on the stand and hope she can lie & cry her way to the heart of one juror. She is a loose cannon, but there is NOTHING else. We all know Kronk is not going to help them regardless of how they try to play him. I saw where they had his ex wife listed - She may not like him but she is not going to say anything under oath that is not true. They tried to play it like she said something about duct tape, but in the local paper where she lives, she said that was all a lie. Then we have the son they have said told them Kronk told him about a reward in August. His deposition said NOTHING about that and even denied it. So what are they going to present. I think their BS happy hour is about to come to a close unless they put her on the stand.

I know..he should have burnt the midnight oil and come up with someone else's case that won..oh wait..the defense thinks their all that..why would they waste time looking through other cases when Mason has so many failures of his own to compare this to.

9:15am Wednesday, June 15, 2011 Court is in session.

One issue before the judge brings the jury in.  The state has an exhibit issue.  They also have a new stipulation.
 
The stipulation will read that on
July 2, 2008 Casey Anthony got a tattoo "Bella Vita" this is true and accurate for your deliberations.  The state wants to enter two cans into evidence, they contain carpet samples.  They may be used later but any use will have a proffer to it.
Mason wants to know how the jury wanted the heart-shaped item yesterday, if they were not to be talking to each other about this case and were not deliberating.  No instruction will be given.

Jury is coming in.

The judge is reading the stipulation to the jury that Casey Anthony got a tattoo "Bella Vita" this is true and accurate and can be used in your deliberations.  The state just entered the 2 cans into evidence.

Linda says, "At this point, the state rests".  Judge asks for a side bar...side bar is over.

The judge is excusing the jury for the day, they will reconvene tomorrow morning, June 16, 2011 at 9:00am.

Taking up legal matters without the jury present.  Mason handed the court a whole lot of cases and a memorandum.  The cases he cited, the judge is familiar with all but Baugh and Kennedy.  He will read it or Baez can go straight into his argument without him reading it.  The state has already given him theirs on Monday.  He had an opportunity to read the states.

Wish me luck, he is gonna mumble, lol.  It is established in the jurisprudence in this country, we are entitled to ask for a judgment of acquittal.  The Florida Supreme Court has a law he is citing, he is citing Serrano.  That was one of Mason's cases.  The Supreme Court reaffirmed that there is a special type of review, the motion of judgment of acquittal.  He is going on and on with case law for Judgment of Acquittal.  He is saying this case is based on purely circumstantial evidence.  The circumstantial evidence must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.  He says Dr G. did not follow the law when she said it had to be a homicide based on circumstantial facts.  The state in preventing it's evidence has used the untruthfulness to family and friends and this began with the "Nanny" in 2006.  They don't know when the child died, where she died, how she died, who was with her when she died.  They do not know if it was an accidental death and if anyone helped to cover up an accidental death.  The state has not proven that there was no premeditation if there was a murder at all.  The evidence for a murder must beyond a reasonable doubt, Mason doesn't think the state has met that burden.  There has been in this case no premeditation, just a stacking of incidents, a stacking of evidence.  He is citing the case, Smith, a woman floating in the bay wrapped in chains and a blue bed spread floating around her.  Despite being missing for a long time, she was not reported missing by her husband for a very long time.  The court ruled in that court the state could not prove first degree murder because there was no premeditation, they lowered it to second degree murder.  In this case, we have no cause of death, under than the speculation of Dr. G.  Looks like CJP is not buying any of this, he is making his sour puss face.  Now Mason is talking about his doomed Serrano case.  Nelson Serrano was convicted of the execution style of 4 people, etc, etc.  He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  There was no question to the cause of death but the issue was that Serrano was the shooter, it went on for weeks and weeks and years later it is in the appellate court.  It should reiterate that every reasonable hypothesis should be used to be assured that this case is beyond a reasonable doubt.  He is now talking about a case Linda handed him this morning about Felony Child Abuse making the murder First Degree.  Caylee Marie had no prior child abuse, no broken bones, no bone torquing.  Casey Marie Anthony was a loving, doting mother as seen by all witnesses.  Judge asks him about a case Louis V State, how would Mason square Louis with this.  Mason says Louis is trying to undo it but the law today is Brooks.  He is moving on to Kennedy V State....the Kennedy court said, the standard for aggravated child abuse, it talks about the court making an error in area in not finding out what aggravated child abuse.  The complete definition is that a reasonable parent would not cause the acts that would knowingly cause the child apparent pain and harm.  All the witnesses were asked about torture, discipline any acts at all by the defendant to her daughter.  None were found.  Aggravated child abuse was not found.  To count 3, aggravated manslaughter, it was raised to aggravated because Caylee was young.  The duct tape either being on the child or near the child means nothing. There has been no evidence as culpable conduct on the part of Casey Anthony.  Mason goes on and on and CJP says isn't it a little late in the day for that argument? Mason says they filed motions about Miranda rights but there is another aspect of it.  Mason goes on to say that statements Casey gave LE statements not voluntarily and the jury needs to disregard them.  She was never given Miranda rights even though she was put in a cage and surrounded by LE.  Mason is talking about other cases he has cited for CJBP to read.  The state is required to prove every element to beyond a reasonable doubt and they have not done that. He is citing another case that gave no cause of death.  Where is any cause of death in this case?  This is a special case because of the notoriety and needs to be looked at carefully, there is not enough evidence to prove these charges against Casey Anthony.  Talking about hair in the case now, the Supreme Court in Ballard reversed the judgment of Murder and the Death Penalty, there was not just hair evidence there was bloody evidence and a cause of death.  Talking about a death conviction of Cox, the Supreme Court reversed the conviction that was gained only because of circumstantial evidence.  The death sentence was not just commuted to life but acquitted.  Another case that was a death sentence, reversed to a 2nd degree murder because of no pre-meditation.  If the homicide is not pre-meditated it must not be first degree murder it must be 2nd degree murder.  In this case, this is an accidental death.  He is talking about Serrano and comparing it to the love that Casey had for Caylee.  The state is trying to make this loving relationship into something different.  He is talking about the heart shaped sticker not found close to the body.  The only evidence that any heart shape sticker was poofed by the FBI.  We have no evidence that about that heart shape sticker, the duct tape is questionable, did the duct tape fall down to the mouth?  The only person that had access to the duct tape is the grand father, that is what we learned yesterday.  Now directing his thoughts to case law provided to him by the State of Florida.  Judge Perry is asking him what record of accidental death can the court look at?  Mason says there is none but there is going to be, the state has the burden not the defense.  He is citing law, the state gave him.  In this case the cause of death was not in dispute.  The testimony of the defendant was proven wrong, there was no mystery about the cause of death.  More case law, I think provided by the state.  He isn't making much sense and jumping around and I am having a hard time making sentences out of it, lol.  He is going on about the Serrano case again.  Each case that the state gave him had cause of death.  How was this child killed, where was this child killed, was she killed at all.  He says that he has tried murder cases for 40 years and he knows all of these could have, may have, might of been can not exclude there was no murder at all, there was no pre-meditation, there was no history to establish aggravated child abuse.  All 3 of the first charges are screaming for acquittal.

The law is the law and while the great portion of what Mason dealt with, he tried to compare those cases to the unique facts in this case.  The cases she gave the court were not given because they were quite similar but because the court must lean toward the State of Florida.  The reason the Serrano Case was in the packet was because the defendants theory of innocence was an alibi.  The state had ample evidence to show Serrano's alibi was lacking.  In this case, the defendant said over and over to everyone that Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzales had taken her child.  That was proven never to have occurred.  The fact that the states opening included an accidental drowning changes none of the facts.  Dr G. has stated unequivocally that this was not an accident.  George Anthony has said this did not happen.  This cannot be an alibi compared to the alibi used in Serrano.  Linda is citing a case that the state did not die due to the defendant.  Dr Beaver could not perform a regular autopsy because of advanced decomp but still said it was a homicide.  Hypothesis propounded by the defense, Dr. Beaver said didn't happen because of his knowledge, the grave site and other common sense that it was a homicide.  A reasonable jury can decide that Caylee Marie Anthony died do to the fact that she had 3 pieces of duct tape applied to her nose and mouth, that she died to a high amount of chloroform or a combination of the two.  That Caylee's body was in her mother's trunk.  Casey did provide a motive to eliminate the child.  The state proved that Ms Anthony started to think about killing the child in March when she looked up how to make Chloroform, etc.  The state does not have to provide details of the death, it can be decided upon circumstantial evidence.  The only real case that needs to be decided for Judgment of Acquittal is in the Brooks case in 2005 by the Supreme Court.  The merger doctrine between aggravated child abuse and first degree murder, shaking a child to death could be considered to be aggravated child abuse, the court found the mechanism that resulted in the Dorsey case was more than a single instantaneous act.  Cites another case where a mother drowned her daughter by holding her down in a swimming pool.  Was holding the child a single act of child abuse?  The panels disagreed that the Brooks decision was Dicta.  The other opinions to have to do with this case is Lymm V State, where regardless the language of Brooks, the surrounding acts in Lymm would take it out of Brooks.  More than one hold or grip, did not constitute a single act of abuse.  Since a reasonable jury can conclude that the death of Caylee was by multiple pieces of duct tape, that would not be a single act of abuse. The administration of a poison would also keep it from being a single act of child abuse.  The next thing is premeditation, the question is, can the jury conclude due to Ms. Anthony's computer searches, that this was an intentional act by the defendant to cause the child's death.  There is  no fixed period of time for pre-mediation.  When she put not one but two then three pieces of duct tape over Caylee's face it was pre-meditated.  We request you deny a Judgment of Acquittal.  Linda is done......

He thanks Linda for bringing up the chloroform.  He says there was no sign of chloroform in her remains.  They tried to prove there was chloroform used on the victim and they could not.  There were not 3 pieces of duct tape wrapped around this child's head, to do with cause of death or anything to do with Casey Anthony.  There is no witness, there is no possession.  There is only George Anthony using that duct tape on a gas can and a command center.  All the computer searches seem to have to do with self defense.  He is saying in the Johnson case, what a world of difference, he did not say that the evidence was based on guessing like Dr. G. did.  If the court will please read Abdul, a case cited by the defense.  They got gas and duct tape to light the victim on fire.  Norton they cited was a gun shot would and that was not establish pre-meditated murder, it goes to show how weak this case is.  Then go to Louis, there is a suggestion in that case that the drowning of holding the victim down is more than one case.  Bad cases do not make good law.  There is no evidence that mother dunked her child more than one time.  In this case there is no evidence that chloroform was used.  All of this is guessing and speculating and not in this country, I hope you look at all this information and come to Judgment of Acquittal.  Mason is done.

The judge says he has spent much time reviewing all the cases cited and the testimony in this case.  He has recessed until 11:15am, today.

I'm watching InSessions and they're playing the video that Cindy took of Caylee on Father's Day at the nursing home - Caylee is talking and going through a book.  The video is the same video that the picture came from that the prosecution showed the jury during their opening statement.  I'm hoping that the entire video is shown at the conclusion of the prosectution's case in the penalty phase.

Exactly, they walked right in a said their own client is a liar but yet we want you to believe her when she says Caylee drowned and George brought Caylee to Casey dead in his arms. Nevermind that she never reported anything, nevermind that she lived life to the fullest from day one of Caylee's death, nevermind that Caylee was found 6 months later with duct tape around her head, etc, etc. I really think (pray) the jury has seen what they need to see of Casey, all the lies to police, her family, friends and find her guilty of premeditated murder.

Cindy Anthony was under oath.  A possible motive for the premeditated murder of Caylee Marie Anthony could have been established for the jury to consider in deliberations if the prosecutor with one little question had challenged Cindy's testimony ... Cindy's testimony that the evening of June 15th was special ... a time of bonding with Casey and Caylee.

Think about it.  Cindy had learned earlier in the day from her mother that Casey had stolen from her Grandfather.  It make sense that the alleged confrontation did occur.

Why was Jesse Grund not called as a witness for the State to testify under oath regarding Lee Anthony's alleged claim?

Why was Lee Anthony ... while under oath ... not questioned by the prosecutor regarding this issue.

Jesse Grund told Sherriff's investigators about the incident in documents released by the State Attorney's Office in late November, saying he learned of it from Casey's brother Lee Anthony.

I think she has convinced herself she's not to blame ever. From the beginning she was offended of people even claiming she was partly to blame. Like the jail call where she had went off on her mom and her mom said *wait are you blaming me for why you're in jail? Blame yourself for not telling us where Caylee is* , to seemed to get mad that she was being blamed and even madder after realizing her, don't blame me, excuses remained irrelevant or in her terms unheard, as they all claimed this wasn't even her fault, yet she's the one in jail for no other reason than people won't listen to her.

They listened alright and that's why she continued to sit there-almost 3 years later and she still doesn't seem to get it.

They have done an excellent job throughout this case. The blonde female officer makes no bones about keeping courtroom rules either. I have been watching how some of the male officers KC can put off somewhat when she wants to talk to bozo, but that lady takes no slack from KC and when she speaks now, KC moves. LOL  I love it.

There is no way I believe they will put ICA on the stand.  I hope I am so very mistaken.

I don't think judge could live with himself if he let her go!

IMO the Prosecution is holding a lot of witnesses for a rebuttal if they NEED them.  If the Dumbfense does NOT bring up certain things...then they won't need to bring them in.  Their case is made for all charges at this point.  Don't forget that the Pros. gets to cross examine all of the Def.'s witnesses..so they can make a lot points that way also.

And if there is a penalty phase, and I think there will be, they can bring in a lot more witnesses.  Also, what we have to remember is hearsay...Shirley would NOT be able to repeat anything Sindy said, however she can say that she spoke to ICA & testify what ICA said to her.  Also, Shirley can bring in her bank records....but since no charges were filed, not sure how that would go.

I have seen so many pics of caylee taken at different times in her short life with a mark under her left eye. How many times did she 'fall'?

Did Mason go into spontaneous combustion after that remark..Lordy the man is going to hell in a hand basket..he doesn't get kudos for out and out lying.

I don't have much respect for Smith. He is the one that interviewed Bozo over lunch and they got along like a house on fire. A lot of his take on the case seemed to be slanted pro-Bozo after that. IMO.

It is a very poor decision to put her on the stand, that being said this defense is stupid enough to do it but she will get destroyed on cross.  There is an instruction the jury gets at the end that if you cannot believe one thing, you dont have to believe anything, not verbatim but that is the crux of the instruction.   The other thing is that she stands the risk of her prior convictions on the economic charges being allowed in & it is pertinent to the "31 days."

Many have asked the same question and if you notice they are all on the same side which indicates to me she was hit by someone right handed.

With those two loose cannons (bozo and mumbles) it is just amazing to me how he had maintained control of his court. I have been impressed with each case law they site he has already considered in this case. The man is a walking law library.

And this is why Casey is the way she is. She can murder Cindy's only little baby granddaughter and will still will have her support *SMH*

It's a double edged sword..

The State does not want to make the grieving Grands look bad..because that looks bad to the jury as if the State is berating the Grands.

The Grands are not on trial here..Casey is.

If you make the Grands look bad..if you say Cindy and she had a fight..you say Cindy should have stopped this....What does that do to the jury?

It makes them give Casey a little bit of a reprieve..and it plays into the Defense case of poor little Casey who was abused by the family and then framed for this accident.

Good Morning... Driving in to work this morning, I was listening to my morning am talk radio station... They were talking about this case... They said let's not forgot what this case is all about... sweet little Caylee. 

Then they said the defense team is ridiculous (and called them some other things that I sadly can't remember at the moment) and that KC would have been better off saying "Martians" did it, rather than having this idiotic team attempt to defend her. 

They went on to say that KC is guilty, without a doubt!!! 

This is in Los Angeles... so no matter how far away you live from this evil monster... as soon as you hear the details, you immediately know it was KC.  End of story!!

I just saw the deputy who escorted Casey out, come back in and beckon to another deputy.  Anybody else catch that?  I wonder if that's anything of concern? 

Judge Perry stated that in the Casey Anthony case, evidence has been presented that Casey was the last person to see Caylee alive, evidence presented that duct tape was applied to Caylee's nose and mouth, evidence was presented that chloroform was used, Caylee's body was placed in a bag and then placed in a trunk...and on and on.

11:15am Wednesday June 15, 2011 Court is in session.

The judge says that both the state and the defense have presented their arguments for their judgment of Acquittal.  Both cite Serrano V State of Florida.  There is another case the court took into consideration, the court in that opinion went on to say, when faced with a judgment of acquittal the judge must rule in the light of the most favorable to the State.  Another says, under the circumstantial standard when viewed in the light the court must judge in favor of the state.  He goes on to say that the judgment of acquittal must be denied and it becomes the juries duty to decide whether there is guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.  Whether there is a premeditated design to kill the jury must decide that.  They must decide the nature of the weapon used, the manner of the homicide in question, where the elements of pre mediation are sought to be under circumstantial evidence, the jury must decide.  The succints of this case is that the defendant was in fact the last person with the victim and she did have motive.  In another case the evidence showed that the defendant was the last to be seen with the victim and he was no longer dating the victim's mother.  He was found with a blood spot on his pants, fiber evidence and he made statements that were inconsistent.  That evidence was enough to convict him of First Degree Murder and Kidnapping.  The next case has some interesting facts....in this case the evidence showed that the defendant who was 52 years old and met the victims mother, he was the last person seen with the victim.  The last time the child was seen, she was seen sleeping with the victim, then she abruptly disappeared.  The Supreme Court when deciding this case cited an Epperly V State decision, the victim was last seen leaving a motel, she left with the defendant, went to a lake house and ultimately disappeared, her body never being found.  The court goes into a long dissertation in that particular case and talks about premeditation and what premeditation meant.  There is another case the Supreme Court of Mass, which is still a good law in Mass, although it is not binding on this case.  This case shows that on the first floor a tenant heard moaning sounds in the cellar, she and her husband went to the cellar and found a boy lying naked on the cellar floor.  The police arrived and they took the boy for treatment to the hospital, he was later released, came back home and he got worse and then died.  The defendant was the last one seen with the victim.  He was seen with the defendant by two different people.  They observed the victim and the defendant together on the front porch.  The victim was found dead later on that day.  The court concluded that this was sufficient evidence that the child was last with the defendant and found naked lying in the cellar dead.  The next case is a Supreme Court of Arkansas a defendant and his co-defendant were the last seen with the victim.  The defendant was the one that said the co-defendant was the last one seen with the victim and the court found it was sufficient.  The court looked at Louis and found that on the doctrine of merger.  One the felony murder statue states that aggravated child abuse is related to first degree murder based on the number of times of aggravated child abuse.  In this case there is more than a single act of aggravated child abuse.  In this case there is 3 applications of duct tape, the use of chloroform, the child was placed in trash bags and another container.  The defendant said after the child was missing, she was alive and safe during this time.  There is more than one case of child abuse.  The defense's motion of Judgment of Acquittal are hear-by denied.  The jury must decide.  The state has provided sufficient evidence for all the charges.

The court is in recess till tomorrow morning at 9:AM.

Mason even put part of the blame on his own client, citing Casey's untruthfulness with her family and friends. He said Casey's lies about Caylee's nanny started in 2006, two years before Caylee disappeared and was later found dead in the woods near her home.

Judge Perry ultimately denied the motion, citing a number of previous case rulings, both in Florida and in other states. The judge said those are strictly questions to be decided by the jury.

Oh, what a great witness......NOT........he has more bungled cases than the law allows if the media is correct. His entire crap is based on them not opening the skull - I can't wait to hear the prosecution as him WHY? The skull is never opened unless there is suspected trauma which was induced. That will open up a whole new ball game for the prosecution.

I think this whole time the defense team has actually convinced Casey that they can get her off. They have asked how many times for a mistrial? They probably didn't even tell her the acquittal request was usual business for the court. They have come up with this ridiculous opening statement and it seems they are going that path for their presentation. Blame Kronk, blame George, blame Lee but don't blame Casey.

And they would be racked with emotions because Linda said that the motive was the fighting between Cindy and KC and the judge said all these different acts had been committed.  Some "REAL" facing the facts today for G&C.

Linda will do that in her closing argument.

This portion has been to present evidence, including the chain of custody, then present the experts to explain and back up that evidence.

Just as her opening statement layed out what the jury would be seeing and hearing and the timeline....her closing can now layout all the facts brought into evidence that support her theory..ie, chloroform levels in the trunk, duct tape around Caylee's little head, partying for 31 days, never calling 911, never letting her fmaily knw the child was missing, the Spiteful bitch comment..on and on can now be given in the closing and sumation of the State's case.

Noot to worry..the State holds all the evidence cards..and Mason admitted today he has no evidence to prove it was an accident.  Of course the jury didn't hear that..but they will come to that conclusion when he produces no evidence to that theory.

Which begs the question, Casey goes free, then what?  What place in the world would she have?  And, if I were Cindy and George, I'd be sleeping with both eyes open and a weapon iin my hand.

The skull not opened. Geeshhhhhhhh............the purpose of opening a skull in an autopsy is to get the brain and other parts of the interior of the skull out to examine them. In this case, there was no brain or anything else left in the skull. The autopsy stated that there was dirt & sediment only in the skull and it was x-rayed and the sediment washed out to examine.

Im not sure the denial for an acquittal is the entirety of their tears, the motive being put out there for the world to see is a good part of it as well but I cant believe it would be a shock to either George or Cindy that their monster is that spiteful.

I have faith in the state's evidence and ability to put on their case, but I can't fathom that the A's would have a moment's peace if Casey were ever let go.  I remember Cindy saying when Caylee was "missing", that hey knew where Casey was and she was safe.  I have to wonder if she meant C & G  were safe from her tantrums.

I mentioned in a few posts back that the "motive" for the world to hear is hard but let's not forget what today is.   It is the last day Cindy saw Caylee alive, George today or the next day depending on if one believes he saw Caylee the next day or not.

I don't think it's a shock, either...more like this is "real" and they're having to face it...it's emotional and they needed a release.
