I have to correct this info. They could not get them detained, since there is no reason for it, but he was called to come to the house where he is beind interviewed. So, no costudy, but interviewing by the KPLD. They have indeed equipments at the place and searchdogs.

The inval was done by the Arrestatie team of the ALE.

Mike, this is what I've found out officially: When the investigators were about to go to Paulus's house, they picked him up at the Courthouse (remember he is a practicing lawyer now) to inform him of what they were going to do and for him to go to his house. He went there, saw what was happening and then left the premises. If he was arrested afterwards is not known, but up to that point he had not been taken in for questioning. Soon, we will have a lot more information on this very important move by the Dutch investigators.

For what it's worth - Blood lingers for decades, and it's harder to remove than most people think. It's there, even if you can't see it, or it's washed and painted over. Really hard to remove from most surfaces.

If anyone reads/hears anything covering all the windows etc. - they're looking for blood with luminol. (sp?)

Yes, Lil Puma, we Amercian Dutchies have taken a beating over this and handled it pretty good natured ly.  I may still have to send the Vanderslice cousins to visit DAYHIKER and explain to him how not all Dutch are stupid, "Dutch ugly" as someone called them or any of the other mean things said about them ALL and as a WHOLE constantly.  :wink:  (just kidding, Dayhiker!) I could be a poster child for them and look more Dutch than most in the homeland.  When you have relatives with a name that means the same as van der Sloot, it feels personal sometimes.

It is a small island and Paulus is connected. He knew this search was coming before they started. The search was delayed several hours.

if something did happen in the vds house, wouldn't paulus have spent the last 2 years getting rid of any possible evidence? even if that meant new floors and/or walls?

Klaas, they could not make a move without new evidence. I think they have more than wiretaps... they have something physical...

I think they have something solid and are setting paulus and joran up with a series of statements that they will eventually be able to contradict with physical evidence.

Unless her body was buried on the property, and I doubt it remained there even if it was, I wouldn't think a search would produce any physical evidence of her this late in the game.

Looks like a stealth mission by KLPD..Didn't sound like Paulus cared too much they were searching. I have my doubt's they will find major evidence on that property. Lets hope we can hear something official that both are brought in for questioning.

Well, didn't a report say the KLPD set up a tent?  Leads me to believe it will not be a quick search.  They have also been closed lipped on this so far, and may not be wanting to give away alot.

But do we know he is even being questioned??  That seems to be the mystery.  I would assume the search warrant is for probable cause, but are they talking to him or what??

Bruddah.. Im not sure they searched the dunes. They seem to have been talking to witnesses and others and getting ready to make a frontal assault on the VDS home when they were ready... and they re ready..LOL

They might have been at the dunes to get familiar with an area that JVDS claims he was at to compare with the cell records.. or to compare with the known time line...???

That Ms. Wever happened to be buried a few days after Natalee disappeared. Something like June 2 or June 5 or thereabouts. (And she was young; as they say "too young to die" ... I'm not suggesting foul play.) Anyway, in context, that particular death/burial is what made me think that Natalee might be sharing cemetery space with her.

(I apologize that this is morbid.)

Don't know when Ms. Dijkhoff died, but yes I am aware of her ... last name of the VDS maid, and also of the bank teller PVDS mentioned. They surely aren't the same person - but might be related (only because everyone there seems to be related).

Anyway, that is another odd thing, if this Ms. Dijkhoff who died is either the maid OR the bank teller. But I think her death was later, and is not the one that suggested to me a hiding place for Natalee's remains.

Not sure Kimmy.  I've been out of the loop for some time now.  Looking at this from a "fresh" point of view though, it does, in fact, appear to be a progression in the case.

Why they would be only now digging up the VDS residence is of some concern to me (if that what they are in fact doing).  Why now?  Would they still be able to find anything?  Also, I think Paulus (or anyone involved in the case) being allowed on the property during will play a MAJOR part in determining if this is of any real relevance to solving this case.
