Made it....now back to my question...how did we come to think that Deepak's car had tinted windows?  Please!!

On Deepaks tinted windows...

Didn't Beth get that information from MB kids?  Or was it Charles Croes when he and Alberto Levy drove to the beach and spoke to some of the kids there?  Seems it was one or the other. I could be wrong but it seems that's where the tinted windows came from.

So does this mean that they can't prosecute the 3 suspects on evidence that they didn't make public (i.e. Wiretaps).

So if they release Joran from suspect status and the bring forward the evidence KJ withheld he can't be prosecuted.

Wendy Murphy was talking about this and said that everything Miss America did was documented and there will likely be no need for her to testify.  I hope Wendy is involved in this, not just commentary for TV.  If Joey goes on a lies like he does for Joran, she has the guts to rip him apart one greasy hair at a time.  I, for one, would like to be at ringside if that happens.  Especially after Greta's pathetic behavior of recent months.

No Widget - we were told in the very beginning of the case that Deepak's car had tinted windows.  Has nothing to do with that photo.

Yup, I sensed Greta had a much more subdued attitude tonight.  She let her guests talk--for a change.  I like that she asked Dave about the beach story and he told her straight out--no, they didn't leave her at the beach.  She asked Dave if he thought the investigation should have looked at other avenues than the three perps.  He told her no, everything comes back to Joran and the 2K's.  He told her they did did look at other leads and explanations, but they always came back to Joran and the 2k's.  Dave said he felt others might also be involved.  

I did hear Dave say that the FBI told him the family would be contacted first if they found anything at the Sloot house.   He admitted that this means they did not find anything at the Sloot house.  However, I believe he meant they did not find Natalee's body there.  This does not mean they didn't find evidence there--blood, dna, other evidence that still needs to be tested before identified.  This takes time, so do not give up yet, folks.  These people will find out what happened.  I know they will.

Do not worry that they have not come up with anything yet.  You are sounding much too impatient--just like I sound most of the time.  We all want this thing resolved now, but a good investigation takes time--remember that.  I would be worried if the investigators walked out of there and said we couldn't find anything and went back to Holland, tails between their legs.  This isn't happening.  They are still tight-lipped, working the case.  These guys are professionals--the like of which Aruba has not seen yet.  In fact, most of us have never seen people like this work because they do not call attention to themselves or their work.

Patience, patience.  It will happen, in due time.  Joran is scared, very scared.  Paulus is scared, Anita is scared and the 2K's are nearly catatonic.  It is coming.

Yes, wasn't that what one of those people on the island said when Charles Croes asked them about Joran?  If that's true I need to see that quote again, please.

I was surprised that Vinda deSousa is still considered Dave's attorney.  She made a point tonight of saying that the Dutch did not take over the investigation, they are just helping out.  She also said she thought that ALE did "all they could do at the time" to solve the case.  

Sorry, I have little faith in her since she advised Beth to issue that apology.  She did try to explain to Grater the "2 yr" thing, but did not report that the Dutch had already extended the case, and that the suspects will remain suspect indefinitely.

Sure sounds like Greta needs a few more emails asking why she left out Beth!

But she did sound entirely different tonight.  Not once did she make her ridiculous claim of "We KNOW they left her on the beach!"  No one is buying that crapola these days, Gret!

I don't know if it is still available, but the tinting used to be sold in sheeting that was put on like contac paper...it could be peeled off...but, I am going back a few years...it's usually in the glass now.  

We did discuss the car being detailed in the timeframe before their arrest...windows could have been replaced, or switched.....I do remember photos of the tow truck taking the car and other pics thought to be THAT car...iirc, tinted windows or not was brought up back then.

I am proud of the Monkeys tonight and proud to be a Monkey.  I see a visible difference in the reporting tonight on this case.  We did that, Monkeys.  The emails worked.  Greta now knows that the many Monkeys who have followed this case are going to hold her feet to the fire.  We are the reason she had high ratings two years ago, and we are the reason she changed her attitude tonight.  Way to go, Monkeys!!   :D

Remember the re-enactment made by the Dutch in which they used Deepak's actual car, well didn't the car in the re-enactment have tinted windows?

Lala's Mom:  I had thought we had seen pictures of Deepak's car-one time it didn't have tinted windows, and one time it did.  One of the pictures that comes to mind was when it was on a tow truck maybe?  Gee, it's been so long.  The point of the discussion about the tinted windows at one time, and not having tinted windows the other time, was changes that were made to the car that might have to do with Natalee's case. Remember there was also discussion about how low set his car was, and if it could make it up/down some of the roads to places on the island?

Croes' interview with Greta.

Ohh.  And remember we had a lot of discussion about interiors of cars.  Like there were some photos of inside of cars, and sometimes you could see someone just outside the car.  Window tint was discussed then too, I think.  And we were trying to figure out what kind of car etc.  Whew.  It's been so long...

BINGO!  I guess my memory is not as short as I thought!  That's where I heard that.  My personal opinion is that Deepak has exchanged that car with another and then another to the point where the car that Natalee stepped into no longer exists.  Deepak's original car that Natalee rode in was customized, probably by him and some friends.  So, it stands to reason that after that night, he would remove any incriminating evidence even if he had to switch the car with another, change out the windows, seats, headliner and any other parts.  So, I don't put much faith in the identification of that car cuz I think he purposely switched it out to hide evidence.

This is exactly what I was about to tell everyone.  Joran claims the car did not have tinted windows.  Why does Joran mention that they are NOT tinted?  The only reason to mention it would be if they were indeed tinted.  Fishy story there...ulterior motive of which I can't decide.

I have always maintained that you can't see who's in a car with tinted windows.  This is why the pond witness couldn't tell who was in back...the windows were tinted.

Isn't Enterprise the company Deepak spoke to one of the employees/owners about Natalee's drivers license and $50?

Yes, and Joran was in the front seat in the drivers seat and prolly had his window rolled down.

It's not too hard to change out the entire window.  I have glass coverage on my cars, and in AZ there are a lot of rocks on the roads.  Flying rocks break windshields all the time.  I call the glass company and they come out to the house and change out the windshield when it breaks, again.  It takes the guys about 20 minutes, start to finish, and I have a new windshield.  Same for side and back windows, but they rarely take a stone and crack.

 Unhappy  HELP - POLICE?! how to contact?!
I cannot find any web address info for police stations in Aruba. I am trying to get info on their current investigation on the DISAPPEARANCE (ABDUCTION? MURDER?) of a teenaged girl during our local high school's trip to Aruba. How can I reach them?!

The child's mother has flown to Aruba to help look for her. Our only source for information is the travel agent, who is not receiving much info, either. None of us is getting direct info from the police. I have searched but cannot find any internet info on how to contact them directly.

I was encouraged to read that just a week or so ago, the Aruba police did solve a kidnapping case, rescuing two sisters. I hope we have the same result. (It sounds as if they are moving swiftly on the case.) Meanwhile we are all losing our minds with grief and worry. It would help to get some official word.

Our travel agent assured us as parents that our children would be safe in Aruba on this chaperoned trip. Yet now that this tragedy has occurred, I have since heard from others that this sort of thing happens all the time. Is this true?!

I hope some of you can direct me to official sources. Meanwhile, we will appreciate your prayers for the safe return of this young girl.

We also have a lot of car theft here in AZ--I know, it's got other good features, but the crime is a bummer.  The car thieves here can dismantle a car and have the parts on the way to Mexico in 10 minutes flat.  They busted a chop-shop near my college a week or two ago where quite of few cars in the college's parking lots ended up.  Thriving little business, it is.  Anyway, my point is that these people who work on cars, dismantle them and reassemble the body parts so easily it would amaze you.  We identify the car by it's appearance, but that is not reliable.

O, wait, remember they used the actual car for the reinactment and actually supposedly shipped the thing to Holland for the filming.  Deepak tried to get a lot of money for that?

I do hope while they had it in Holland a REAL search was finally done.

Dave:  Well the first few days I was very very nervous because the FBI told him they were going to do a search on the property but they could not disclose the location.  But when he turned on the news on Friday morning low and behold it was the Van der Sloot residence so you get very concerned and nervous that one of the suspects they are digging holes and stuff up in his yard you know.

Greta:  Have you heard from them since they gave you the sort of the alert that there was going to be a search.

Dave:  The FBI indicated to Dave if they came up with anything they would be the first ones to get a call.

Greta:  So I take it since you haven’t heard from them at least you concluded the search turned up nothing.

Dave:  That’s correct.

Greta:  Prior to Thursday when you got the word they were going to do the search on Friday when have you last heard from the Dutch Authorities or the FBI or the Aruban Authorities.

Dave:  You know the Dutch took over the investigation approximately September/October of last year.  We heard about that and that was the last communication we really had and they have been very very secretive about what they were doing and what actions they were taking.  I was getting a little concerned that nothing was going on and they all of a sudden they came on the island a couple of weeks ago.  Approximately eight investigators from what I understand and the news media on the island started following them around and we heard they interviewed several people and then all of a sudden they start the searching.

Greta:  Dave I don’t mean to be a wet blanket but you said they came on the scene last September/October 06 and you said that they’ve been very secretive until they did this search.  What makes you think they have been doing anything at all?  I mean it doesn’t take a lot to do this search and it’s been about six or seven months.  Do you think they have been even doing anything?

Dave:  You know that’s a good question.  I understood that they obtained all the documents and started reviewing those the Holland investigative team and then of course we were wondering when they would ever go back to Aruba and then they finally did it a couple of weeks ago.

Greta:  What would you like the Dutch to do?

Dave:  I would like for them to solve the case obviously but I think what they are really doing is going over some areas where they felt like the investigation was not done in the proper manner.

Greta:  In term of Joran, Deepak and Satish you know what questions would you like to put directly to them.

Dave:  Well obviously I would want them to tell the truth and disclose and disclose what happened to Natalee and what kind of condition she was in when she was supposedly left at the beach.  You know I don’t really buy that story but just certainly ask them to come clean.

Greta:  Are you a 100% certain that they didn’t simply leave her at the beach.  I mean in your heart and mind.

Dave:  In my heart and mind no I don’t.

Greta:  And in terms of you hold all three accountable and you remain 100% suspicious of those three and no one else.

Dave:  Yes, I think when you get into a situation when they start lying right off the bat and continue lying and trying to deceive the police and start that process and the police have told us time and time again they tried to look for other leads and it circled back down to these three boys so are they the only three involved I don’t think so.

Greta:  It’s now almost been two years.  Two years at the end of this month.  Every day do you think about this are you consumed about this case.

Dave:  Yes, you think about it every day.  You try and stay busy at work and try and do other things but when you get by yourself or a lull moment it pops in your mind and you start trying to figure out exactly what happened.

Greta:  And in terms of KJ who was the prosecutor who is now back in Holland.  She never sat down and briefed you, she claims that she couldn’t but she never did brief you on what they did learn.

Dave:  Well no I think John has made some attempts to speak with her and he’s got a pretty good idea himself of what has happened but no noting.  I think they got into a situation where a lot of documents were leaked out and they’ve tried to keep that from happening again.

Greta:  Well Dave I can tell you I get ton of emails every single day and everyone really wants you, Natalee, Robin and Jug get your answers that you should have them.

I also believe that's why the samples taken to Holland came back identified as chocolate and cleaning fluid.  These samples were taken from a car seat that had most likely been in a rental car seat and put into what they thought was Deepak's car.  Wonder if they thought to compare VIN's or even checked on what Deepak's VIN was.

The other thing though, is that the lighting in general around C+C's especially some of the side streets is not exactly bright. IMO it would be possible to view a small car , under those lights, with four occupants , and the darkened interior may have made the windows appear tinted? Does that make any sense? The reason I say that is when watching the re-enactment video-the windows dooooo appear tinted, but I think they are not. Sorry it is coming back to me very slowly. Getting near sign off time. :shock:

The article to which the writer is referring is from March 2006 and I know everyone has seen it, but I read it again and was especially interested in the following paragraphs in which Dompig is quoted.

"We have been informed by a manager of a nightclub that he received a call. He wanted to talk about the fact that he knew more about the whereabouts of Natalee," says Dompig, who acknowledges that this is the first valuable lead he's gotten in a while. "Yes, concerning a specific burial location, yes," he says.

Holloway disappeared last May, and for nearly a year, police have received dozens of leads, all leading nowhere. But Dompig is convinced that the person who made the call may be the key witness they’ve been waiting for.

"The information that this person gave was too specific to just be a story that was just made up by someone," explains Dompig.

Now, based on this new information, investigators will begin searching again for Natalee’s body on the northern tip of the island.

"Somewhere on the sand dunes that go all the way up behind the lighthouse … where we basically have to search," explains Dompig as he shows Roberts the general search area. "It’s worse than looking for a needle in a haystack."

I noticed a few thing last nite.

1. The International Courts set up / agreed to the 2 year statue for suspect status as described by de Sousa. So it seems to be a law after all.

2. As Robots touched on - this will be going on for a few more months due to the forensics apparently collected at the VDS home. The soil samples alone will take quite a bit of time as that stuff is looked at through a microscope grain by grain. It's gonna take some time to conclude whether or not there is anything there outside of eyeballing a fingernail they can match to Natalee's nail polish found in her luggage. (if in fact she wore nail polish).

3. The silence by the KLPD described by Dave is encouraging. The ALE is a sift. They less they know the better it is for everyone. The last thing Family or anyone else needs is someone in the ALE tipping off the suspects, especially Paulus.

Just thought of something. I had a car a few years ago and it had tinted windows. We have a law in PA against tinted windows.

I would get pulled over once in a while and I would be issued a waring to remove the tint. I never got a ticket until like the 20th time I was warned.

So I removed the tint myself. I peeled it back and then used a cleaning fluid to remove the adhesive.

I then ate a chocolate bar.  :D

My understanding re. tinted windows in Georgia - it isn't illegal, but there IS a limit on just how tinted (dark) they can be. I even think it is standard with most new cars here.

But there must be exceptions for certain kinds of vehicles, such as limos and buses ... because I see them all the time with windows pitch black.

The tint helps reduce interior heat, which may be why this varies from state to state.

IMO, most if not all cars on Aruba probably have tinted windows.

Good day! I hope we hear something good and that the investigation that is going on is for real.. I needed to order some ETOGESIC for my dog online for my dog that has bad arthritis and it seems to work..  I refused to watch Greta so I rely on you guys to keep me up todate on whats happening.. I won't watch Greta nor will I go to the other sites to read their trash.  Its pretty hot here in West Palm Beach, FL and now that we can't water our lawns they are all turning brown.  I have two ponds on my property and they are filled with gators, since they still have water in them.. I go out at night and thats all you hear is them talking to each other and sometimes you see them floating along like logs.  I worry about the dogs in the neighborhood because most dogs love the water and this is not the time for them to go swimming..  Well I need to go and hopefully this is not a show and that the investigation will prove me wrong and something will come out of this.. At least it will keep the Sloots and Kalpoes and others restless at night..

I do remember we discussed Deepak's car windows quite a bit early on.

Initial word was that the windows were tinted. We have a good photo of the car when it was being set up for towing/searching. A poster observed that the windows didn't look tinted in that photo, but it may be because of the way the sunlight was hitting them. Just hard to tell for sure.

I imagine that they WERE tinted.  As you brought up, it helps w/ heat in the car, and besides that, when cars are customized, that is one of the first things guys do to their cars is to tint the windows, it is quite inexpensive.  It is easy to remove too.

I seem to remember that the word was they were tinted.  A discription we got early.

IF something (blood/vomit) did get on the window, and someone tried to use some type of cleaning liquid to get it off(just not thinking) it would ruin the tint.  From what I understand, you can't use certain things on the tinting.  Maybe they used the wrong thing trying to clean the windows and ruined the tint, thus the need to remove the tint.  Just a thought.

I am convinced that within all the lies there is often a small indication of what really happened and some clues are there.  Take for instance when Joran was walking from the racket club to the casinos.  He went by the beach...to look for his shoes.  He wanted to make sure that there was no evidence of where they placed her in the crab cage and hauled her out to sea.  I know I could be stretching it a bit, but you get the idea...thus my asking about the windows last night.  It never hurts to go back and rethink some things.  I know it won't solve the case but you never know what you might hit on that causes a light to go off in the right person's mind and they solve this thing and bring Natalee home.

Joran van der Sloot: Honest or not?

I watched the interview with Chris Cuomo and Joran van der Sloot last night. I taped it and went back this morning to write down the conversations in the areas that concerned me. I will share them with you.

The first thing I noticed was that Joran was very neutral. He was your classic neutral person in this interview. He didn't show emotions, he didn't get excited, he didn't get angry -- he just spoke monotone without emotions. Joran was a blank slate 99.9% of the time. However, when you look at other videos of Joran, he is not a blank slate. He expresses emotion. His face is expressive.

This raises a red flag for me immediately. Joran should be full of emotions. Anyone would be full of emotions being wrongly accused. However, if you are accused of something you did -- you would have every reason to hide those emotions. Wouldn't you?

In looking at the Joran case, I will tell you that Joran is a difficult read. When someone doesn't offer up emotions like Joran, and conceals them quite well, we are only left with one thing: the facts. Is what Joran saying logical? Does it fit? Is he answering questions like an honest man?

Joran did offer a few odd smirkish smiles at strange times. They weren't in "contradiction" to what he was saying, but they were odd and what I'd consider inappropriate in their timing. These raise more red flags but by themselves they are not enough to say anything. I personally don't think a normal person who is innocent in his situation would smirk or smile when he did but this is not enough to form an opinion. It is just a clue to a bigger picture.

With all real life stories, when you add up the pieces of the puzzle -- you get a picture. You will get a picture of the truth, or you will see a lie. I don't think I've ever called out that I didn't believe anyone without a mountain of clues. One thing may be odd or out of character -- but when multiple things rear their head and create a pile of questions -- you can't deny the painting that stands before you.

Below I will review segments of the interview with you:
CC = Chris Cuomo
J= Joran

CC: Did you remember who initiated the kissing?

J: Ah...yeah. I did.

CC: Did you ever say that she was the one who started kissing you?

J: I don't know. Maybe. I said a lot of things.

Now Joran can't remember the lies he told? He knows the truth. He just doesn't want to tell you. Often times thought not always when people say "maybe" they mean "yes".


J: We were planning on going to my house...because she said she wanted to go to my house.

CC: What were your intentions in taking her to your house?

J: Um...my intentions to take her to the house were...yeah..um...to have sex with her."

Did she want to go to Joran's house -- or did he want sex? Which is it?? I suspect it was the latter.


Chris Cuomo goes on to say that Joran has second thoughts. He decides not to take Natalee to his house because he says his father and brothers are sleeping. Then he says Natalee has an idea to go to the light house on the northeast coast to see sharks.

I find this very odd:

a) Most people don't look for sharks in the dark. This isn't logical. I don't think Natalee said this.

b) Joran first wants to go to his house sometime after midnight -- and then he decides not too because he realized his family is sleeping. I don't believe this. It isn't logical. It wasn't like he was going to bring Natalee home at 10:00 p.m. and then next thing it was 2:00 a.m. It was midnight or later the first time he thinks about bringing her home. He knew his family was sleeping then! I'm not buying this.


Also, later in the evening, Joran says he made up all the lies the first time around because he had a girlfriend and didn't want his family and friends to think bad of him -- but HERE he was willing to bring Natalee HOME to his house. He obviously wasn't worried about what his dad or family thought then -- was he? This points to deception. Another piece of the picture.


CC: It's 1 a.m., and you say Natalee wanted to see sharks. Are there a lot of sharks around Aruba?

J: No. Not at all. But she wanted to see the sharks. Yeah...and I don't know. I told her there are no sharks on Aruba.

When Joran says "Yeah, I don't know" he smiles very oddly -- as if he does in fact know something. It's perplexing.

Another odd piece of this picture. Which picture is it painting for you? An honest one or a deceptive one?


Chris Cuomo says Joran says he left (Natalee on the beach) without his shoes.

CC: Should the fact that you left your shoes be seen as a sign of panic? That you were nervous and scared about what had happened there?

J: No. Because that is not what happened.

Joran has glint of a smile again when he replies to Chris Cuomo. Why is he smiling? Another question mark. Another piece of the picture.


J: I'd left them on the beach, I'd walked to the car, we got in the car, and right then, there, I couldn't go back because... we were going home.

The timing of his pause in the sentence above is odd "because...(Was he thinking of a reason?)...we were going home."

Furthermore, is his answer logical? Absolutely not. Add to that -- his shoes were never found.

We are painting a picture here. Actually Joran is...What do you see?


CC: When you heard that a girl had gone missing on the beach what did you think?

J: Ummm.....well, the first thing that popped into my head was...(explanative/bleep)...what if something happened to her? What if she went swimming...I was thinking after everything she told me, she probably might have gone back to her hotel, hooked up with...gone to someone else...hooked up with someone else and wanted to stay another day on the island.

First of all his answer is not free flowing. It is broken up, hesitant, chopped, and not logically said at times. Second, the fact that he insinuates that she "probably, might have hooked up with someone else" is disturbing. He is trying to push everything away from himself.


Chris Cuomo say something to the effect of why didn't you go to the police and tell them everything you know. That would be a normal reaction.

J: That's what should have been the reaction...but...ah...I guess...ah.. we decided that I didn't want anyone to know that happened.

This is interesting because there are three boys here -- but clearly this is about him. He says "we decided that I didn't want..." He decided. That's the truth. Furthermore, he stutters for words a lot. When people tell the truth -- they don't stutter like this... Just another piece of the picture.


CC: What is your first impression of Natalee's mother?

J: ... She screamed at me, tell me where my daughter is.

CC: And did you?

J: I told her I don't know.

Chris Cuomo goes on to say to the audience, " But he told them more that that. " Joran told everyone that he and his friends dropped off Natalee at the Holiday Inn.

CC: People don't lie when they have nothing to hide. Why did you lie if you had nothing to hide about Natalee ?

J: I lied because...yeah...I was scared. I had a girlfriend at the time. I didn't want my dad to think bad about me, I didn't want my friends to think bad about me."

Earlier, Joran was willing to bring another girl who was not his girlfriend home -- to have sex with him -- and he wasn't worried about what his parents might think THEN. But NOW he cares?? This doesn't add up.

Second, he had a girlfriend yet he is out with Natalee and wants to have sex with her. This show that Joran doesn't not have good moral values. He is deceptive and willing to use people for his own benefit regardless of HOW others feel. He admits to that much.


CC: Why not just tell them the truth?

J: I didn't want anyone to know. I didn't want anyone to know I left her on the beach.

If you honestly didn't do anything -- why would you lie? It just doesn't add up. Most normal people would get out there and start looking, would confess everything they know in hopes of finding Natalee. They would think about Natalee instead of themselves.


CC: You tell the police that Natalee fell out of the car when she got out to go (at the Holiday Inn). Why did you tell them that? (Referring to Joran's lies).

J: For no specific reason.

At this point, Joran gives a smirk that is puzzling. I believe there is a reason. I believe at one point Natalee did fall out of the car.

CC: Was there a little bit of the truth in it? Was Natalee more drunk than you are letting on?

J: No, not at all.

When Joran says "No. Not at all." There is another odd grin.


Chris Cuomo says Joran now says he might have told the police the real story, the one he's telling you tonight then and there if the family hadn't been so aggressive when they met that first night.

J: The way they were putting pressure on us probably...uh..made us lie more...because it seemed like we were in big trouble."

CC: Even though they were being hostile -- they were searching for a girl that hasn't been found.

J: They were searching for a girl who wasn't found...but...a...and I lied to them about it but....a....ah...how they acted towards my family and ...ah...my friends is not a normal way parents would go about....if their daughter was missing.

It's not normal?? Here Joran is playing the victim. He wants people to feel sorry for him. He doesn't not have the ability to have any compassion for Natalee or her family. This again is odd. Most people who were innocent would have GREAT compassion for the family, and would defend their innocence.

Also, Joran stutters a lot...and talks odd. This raises my eyebrows repeatedly.


CC: Nobody had a sense of right and wrong at the time among you three.

J: No.

Chris Cuomo goes on to say that over eleven days, the three boys all met at Joran's house to discuss the situation.

J: Deepak and Satish came to my house about every day and we talked and we talked. We...a...tried to... and we discussed things. And we were like a...we also at that time said well maybe its time to go to the police and tell them exactly what happened.

Why is Joran's speech so chopped up? He isn't nervous. Is he thinking of what to say and has to "change his story" to hide the truth? Why is he talking nonsense?


Chris Cuomo says that neither of the two brothers admit to driving Joran home that night.
CC: Why would they lie?

J: I don't know. Well....the thing that...the only explanation I can...a..get for that is at the point if they said they would have picked me up...all...the...everything goes towards them...because...then that meant that they dropped me off at my house and ah...I went to sleep...and they had a car and they could have done anything they wanted.

Joran -- This answer makes absolutely no sense. None. The brothers had the car all night long regardless. That doesn't mean they committed murder now, does it? Or were involved -- but that is what Joran is suggesting. This sentence really raises my eyebrows. He is having hard time saying clear, sensible answers time and time again. This is nonsense. People who are honest don't talk nonsense.


CC: Do you think there is a chance one of your friend went to that beach where she was to hurt Natalee?

J: I cannot answer that question. The thing that keeps me ...that does make me think they know something more about it is they won't tell the truth about Satish picking me up.

Now...listen to the next sentence.

CC: The one thing you three agree upon is that you were the last person to be with Natalee.

J: Um..Yes.

Does that make any sense at all? It doesn't.

Time and time again.


CC: Do you think you did anything wrong that night?

J: Yes.

CC: What was your responsibility as you see it?

Joran says he shouldn't have left her at the beach.

J: I should have brought her back to her hotel, or I should have ...um...made sure I left her with someone, one of her friends, but I should have gotten her back to where she should have been.

Here Joran is honest. Look at how his speech flowed naturally, normally and without chop, hesitation and nonsense. Very interesting.


CC: Have you ever given a girl a drug?

J: (smirking) No. Never.

I don't believe this. Why is he smirking???


This was the most shocking part of the interview!!!

CC: What would you say to Natalee if you were still able to speak to her?

J: If I were to see her, if she'd be found tomorrow, I'd hate her. Yes, I'd hate her if she really ran away from home, I'd hate her.

First, he doesn't have anything he'd say to Natalee. His brain didn't even think in those terms. Why?? Instead, he thought about how he'd feel. He'd feel HATE.

This shows a callousness about Joran that is scary. This whole situation is about him and he has no sympathy for Natalee or her family. People who are honest would most likely respond something like this: "I'd be thrilled. " "I'd hug her." "I'd hug the ground I walk on. It would prove my innocence." "Thank god." "I'd ask her what happened?" "I'd say how could you do this to me? You had to see on the news I was being framed for something I didn't do!!!" "I'd be relieved" "The truth would be revealed."

Honest people would say anything but HATE HER. Joran, however, DOES hate her. I have no doubt about it. He hates her because SHE has RUINED HIS LIFE. Perhaps due to his actions?

I don't know if anything is going on with the search and investigation today.  I don't expect any big announcement any time soon, due to the evidence still being collected and needing to be tested.  The more the Dutch search, the more I am encouraged.

Don't know about the devices, but I would love to have them nail the "leak"....the person that told PVDS they found nothing.  Perhaps it's the same crowd that lead the first misinformation campaign...reporters that emphasize that someone spoke to "the local" reporters.  The ones that talk like that have done the most damage to the island and I would love this team to name names (like Julia Renfro) and demand funds for having to clean up their original misinfo mess.

I seriously doubt the Prosecutor is going to give out ANY significant info to anybody, especially the media, including the locals.  She probably felt she had to say 'something',  so she gave them nothing THEY need to know. I'm sure they are keeping ALL info. far away from the ALE.  Hopefully they are "investigating' them for the corruption as they go!

There are exceptions to the two year law.  For instance, there are investigations going on in Holland that have been going on for five years was the example we were given.

Did you see the press release that the Minister of Justice has already declared that null and void in the case of Joran and that he will remain a suspect INDEFINITELY?

I think the two year law is for lesser crimes as no where has a statute of limitations on murder any more.  At least nowhere that calls itself civilized.

I don't think they would issue a press release if they had not in fact been able to have Joran's status confirmed as indefinite.  Would look bad if he were in fact released.  The two year is to prevent people from being detained without a trial indefinitely mostly.  As we know, Sporter is far from detained and is running amok in Holland bragging how he lies every day while Greta is inclined to believe him.

There was new info that a Airline Photographer was brought in for questioning something like 6 times....  We suppose he was an arial photographer, but not sure.  This info came from the Deepak/Dr Phil filings (I believe)  

Question is WHY would he be brought in so many times to be questioned?  Very interesting!

Maybe they are going back to dig up the POOL!

Maybe that airplane photographer had photos that showed exactly where the new concrete was added.

No, it won't.  It would only mean Paulus hid everything.  It will NEVER be put to rest and suspicion off Joran until there is Justice and some other person proven responsible.  Otherwise, he remains the main suspect always and forever in the public opinion.

That's what happens when you lie and lie and say no corpse no case and pour concrete while under suspicion of premeditated murder.

It will change nothing if nothing is found after two years so she better hope they find something.

And Who was the first person that we know of re-interviewed on Aruba?

If he was not still a suspect, he would not have been re-questioned. They know he is not going to roll over on Joran and vice versa.

I believe Joran's suspect status has been confirmed indefinitely when I see Paulus has had his release from suspect status revoked. JMO anyway.

As for him running amok in Holland, he's been running amok since he was 10 years old and no one did anything about it except a lil sit down with some finger painting with a 'child psychologist' that did seem to get any results. I guess that Drs rep is ruined.

When he's arrested along with his father, I believe it.

I have a hard time believing it too, but, they had all the "help" on their side.  They could have figured they can keep anyone from searching, and if they just held out, they'd be home free.  Remember Paulus' comment when talking about finding Natalee - "Good luck with THAT"

I still kinda lean towards her disposal at sea, but anything is possible.

I hope in the very least, they find evidence of her presence at that house.

The forensic psychiatrists say it gives them a feeling of retaining control over the remains and that alleviates fear of discovery oddly enough.

I wouldn't think Paulus would be that stupid except for his reaction after Natalee disapeared, all that sweating and going to the extreme length of having the actual judge who signed the warrant on hand to countresign it to restrict the scope of the search.

That seems 'way beyond what any innocent person would do.  They'd just let the search go on.  But he had the actual judge who was not even from Aruba in his house to limit it to Joran's apartment which is possibly where Natalee wasn't.

And even Ben Vocking opening the door, a member of the so-called prosecution team to OBSTRUCT the search.

That's a lot for an innocent man with nothing to hide to do.

I think Paulus release from suspect status was local and outside the law and more because he was suing them and had the influence to locally have the laws bent into a pretzel.

They may well have thought we were not paying attention and all was safe.

But there are for sure investigations in Holland that have gone on for longer than two years.

In any event we will soon find out around June 10, right?  

Time flies and I must go pay bills as I did not realize the month had changed on me while I was just trying to keep up in the cage!

It wasn't a statement to police but a wiretap of PVDS phone in which he spoke of it.  The previously unknown wiretap information was produced at the last PVDS hearing to collect money which was denied, partially due to this wiretap information.

Anna- I have no idea where Anita is. I do know this, their school year is not like ours. The kids go to school til July and have a month off, and then their back to school. So unless they changed that, I would think she is teaching unless she is on a vacation or sabbatical.

It was always weird seeing kids in school uniforms getting ready to get on the bus in July.

Also, I think Paulus' release as a "suspect" is in no way indicitive of how they view his son as one.  Remember, Joran and the K2's were the last known people to have been seen with Natalee alive.  That much is proven FACT, and cannot be disputed.  How Paulus plays into this case is a bit more interpretive, therefore harder to prove.  It wasn't suprising that he was released officially as a suspect at the time it happened.  Sure, he probably guilty of some degree of involvement.  But, I think the bigger "fish" to fry in this case is the son, not the father...

Of course, I said there'd be no way in hell Joran would have been released from custody a year and change ago.  I was tragically wrong there.  But, I feel kind of the same way about this 2-year nonsense.  I'd be inclined to believe he'll remain a suspect until he is exonorated, or that title changes to convicted murderer.

Here's my only issue with the "concrete pouring" theory:

We all know that if anything, Paulus was well educated in the legal system and the ALE's investigative practices.  His notorious "no body, no case" advice is a glaing example of that.  This being the case, couldn't you assume that he'd be well aware of the risk of his encasing Natalee's remains in concrete on his very own property?  Surely all it would take would be a simple search to uncover her remains, and then all bets would be off for him and his son?  He may be a lot of things (mostly BAD), but unintelligent don't seem to be one of them...

I do believe Natalee's body was staged on that property for a very short amount of time.  Once they had the opportunity, they moved her...most likely to the ocean.
