I still say that is NOT George and Cindy Anthony by the pool.  I believe TMZ got it wrong. I believe Casey hates her father because he pizzed away so much money - money that "she" could have had.  Her aunt & uncle are rich.  I think she feels that if her father hadn't blown that chance with the car lot & gambled online "Casey" would be rich too.

Caylee never had any hospital bills. According to Cindy she never went to the doctor. There was never any evidence she even had a pediatrician like most children. They were evidently neglectful in more ways than one.

Did the Jury has the right to tell the jury that they were wrong? or give them a recommendation in base of evidences/law?...because the jury didn't hear how caylee was murdered it doesn't mean that the most hated woman didn't kill caylee...anyway JP knew that it wasn't evidence that how caylee died, he also said that the defense and pros. didn't prove how caylee died so it means that the baby killer can be find guilty without evidence of how caylee died?  ..I am right?  so it means the jury will assume that you dint need to know how caylee died to find the most hated woman guilty!!! "otherwise they will not be in court as part of the jury" it will not be a reason for them to stay more than 31 days listening bobo and the pros.

Whenever us kids would try whinning about something, my mom would tell us to cry her a river, especially when we were trying to lie about something or get out of something. So to me each of these idiot jurors can whine all they want about their decission to let that baby killer go. I hope each one of them are haunted with the memory of that clip of Caylee with duct tape over her face

Would the "new" grandmother be illegible to file a civil suit against KC, for the death of her grand daughter?  If the DNA confirms she is the blood grandmother.

Michael Duggan’s obit has no mention that he was a father to a child, in Florida.  The new granny knew he fathered a child in Florida, but she did not put any mention in the obit, that I could find.

I hope DM does not see Caylee as a lottery ticket, I do not have a good vibration about this granny.  I hope I am wrong.

Without that “little internal voice” we call conscience, psychopaths feel free to do whatever their needs and wants dictate, and their transgressions do not result in feelings of guilt (Hare 1999, Millon1998).

There is not a child listed as being fathered by Michael Patrick Duggan.  DM knew he fathered a child, why isn't a child
listed?  The new granny, knew where Michaels child lived, and the grandparents names (so she says). Why didn't contact the Ant's and inform them that Caylees, father died?  Follow the money...then Caylee would be an Heir, is that why?

my first reaction was "no".  Until I took a picture of my daughter with my cell phone at Applebees last night & she looked like Tim Conway!  (she's a beautiful little girl btw - took after her daddy LOL)  Could very well be them.  The distance, heat etc.  The thing that struck me is how they have that "deer caught in headlights" expression like they just got busted.  Could be them.  I'd think more people would have snapped a picture though if it were.

I believe that's what's going on.  Mason saying she wouldn't go there & the Cindy visit rejection.  It's easier to steal from Mommy but Mason surely has a bigger pocket.

Ok my first thoughts is that pisses me off, especially the justice for Caylee but then I thought, Caylee did not get justice so let them have it! Who the frig cares? The dude is dead from a drunk driving accident in which he was speeding at a high rate, his sister perished from the injuries later. Mikey didn't tell his momma til after the fact. Caylee's been dead since 2008. Casey, nor any of the Anthonys, owe this lady anything...as much as I really wish they did. She conveniently "remembered" something her son told her years ago about having a baby in Florida by Casey, oh and he told her about Casey's dad that used to be a cop & their last name was Anthony. Michael is the one that owes his mom, nobody else. This lady is questionable in all aspects of life. There is absolutely nothing whatsoever for her to gain from being names as Caylee's grandmother...except money. I think she's acting lowclass and despicable. She's just another vagrant hopping on Caylee's gravy train. I could care less if she is or isn't Caylee's bio granny. Caylee's dead. Again, so is her son Mike, whom she thinks could be Caylee's father. She has absolutely nothing at all to gain except money, which I suspect she's already getting bc people are listening to her. It's not about closure. No way do I buy that.

Remember that icon of Casey's that said "Keep talkin'...you're makin' me famous"... How appropriate.

What's really going to hack George Marie & Cindy off is when after the craziness dies down and there's the inevitable family reunion and consequently the inevitable family fight. Slore can and will be happy to ball up her fists and gleefully tell them how she killed Caylee.  She won't need to sugarcoat an "accident", for maximum pain, she can describe in detail Caylee's last moments.  No matter how they've justified what happened, hearing the awful truth directly from kc will bring it on home that they all scum of the earth.

I think Cindy stopping by the jail Friday was a set up by the defense.  Lippman said already that Baez ran the show while Casey was in jail and did not want her speaking to anyone other then the Defense Team.  Lippman also said, prior to Cindy's visit that he felt that Baez would continue to run the show atleast  until her release ..therefore no family visists..they are still recorded.  Then after all that..Cindy runs to the jail. 

That was a set up to make everyone beleive she would not be returning to her parents..but my bet is she will..where else is she going to go that someone will take care of her every need 24/7?  She is broke and she is hated..time to run home to Momma.

I think she will be let out on Wednesday..not Sunday..and she will be going to Hopespring.

I think there is a reason for all the LE presence there and it isn't just because of lookylous.

Agree.  The daughters of a couple of my friends did this, and they are supporting the daughters and babies. They love the grandkids so much and sacrificing everything for them.  They will not listen to reason that they are being used; they are so dedicated to make life better for the grandkids.

Would be no double jeopardy w Feds, but need a fed. basis/jurisdiction. #FBI was on #caseyanthony so they know. Don't believe so.

However, something to think about...is... If Casey hated her parents so much, then why didn't she go on Welfare? Her birth would have been covered & insurance for Caylee would have been free with Medicaid. She would have been able to qualify for free housing, free daycare, free college tuition including books, bus transportation if she didn't own a car...plus WiC would have given her certain food on top of foodstamps or a food cc.

I volunteer for our local visiting nurses assoc. I see tgis everyday.

My belief is that Casey's a scam artist. Maybe something did happen to her...or maybe, just maybe she was raised in a house by parents that lied & embellished everything under the sun bc they were too busy trying to keep up with the Jones'(es) to realize the big fools they were making of themselves. As far as I'm concerned, the whole family is to blame.

About 30 minutes ago on HLN, Jane Valez finally said something worth repeating. Cindy's cooing about how "beautiful" Casey looked at sentencing and Cindy's going to the jail, uninvited and being turned away by Casey, shows just how much Cindy continues to be in denial.

  I am with you 100%. I have felt the entire Anthony family was in denial, self-indulgent and SO "things" oriented and I have felt that way from the beginning. No child growing up in that household ever had a chance at real life. They never learned any of the skills to get along in the world.

I agrre with your scenario about the release and that she will go home. I'm thinking taht Baez and Mason will set her up in some vacation home immediately after her release for a couple of media interviews but after that....eventually she'll be back at home.
It sure is satisfying to know that she is so hated that going to any store or restaurant or bar will be hell on earth for her. If we stop, really stop giving her & DT any support on TV they will not be raking in the big bucks needed to pay armed guards and rent for isolated houses. Soon, she'll be forced to go right back to her own little slice of hell, Hopesprings Dr.

She could try but she would never succeed bc she'd never be able to prove malice. If anything, she'd look like a fool to try to do that bc she didn't even "remember" her son said "anything" to her until Casey's trial started this year. Mike died in 2007. Caylee died in 2008. The trial started in 2011. She doesn't have a leg to stand on.

IMO, remember how some of us felt horrible when Cindy lost it on the stand while being questioned by Linda? Then remember we all wanted to rip her face off for lying on the stand, gave some stupid lame excuse why she conveniently forgot she was the one that searched for the chloroform, bc she was on different meds? Uh yeah, ok SinSin. See what I'm saying? Cindy's regain in memory by her change in meds was a farce that we all saw through. Then we felt stupid for falling for her shit.

Now this new lady enters the picture and is playing the same game SinSin played, but people are giving her validation by engaging her. What does she have to gain by forcing a DNA? Nothing but money which will come from the media, not any kind of fund that Caylee had...if there was even anything anyway.

Now that I think about it, I kinda think maybe this lady is where Cindy got the idea to suddenly remember those searches & change her testimony. Afterall, it was obvious the Prosecution had no idea Cindy was gonna lie like that, and it happened after this nutcase came forward. All Cindy had to do was create reasonable doubt with one juror, that's all...just like this lady got people to listen to her.

I could give a crap if she's Caylee's bio granny or not. There's nothing to gain now & she needs to shut up. My opinion, honest opinion.

However she might be the only one to do a civil trial for Caylee against Casey as I do not that that Cindy, George or Lee would do one against Casey and this lady would be next of kin. sort of like the trial in the OJ murders when Ron Goldman's sisters did it for Ron and won.

I know Cindy is wacky and all that, but what kind of mother walks into the courtroom for the DP verdict, which by all accounts was going to be guilty, and is cooing about how beautiful she looked?  Cindy was smiling and so was Baez in his oh so funny video in the hallway, so was Mason and Baez at the DT table.....it really makes my mind go to jury tampering somehow.
This case should have been a lock for guilty, to have all the major players acting like it was just another day defies all reason. Even they couldn't have counted on the jury being stupid or lazy. Now maybe they somehow got the verdict prior to it being said aloud in court and that accounts for their behavior but...I'm hoping that at the least some investigation into it happens.

HLN just reported that juror number 12 who works at Publix has left her home and retired from her job over the phone because she was so afraid how people would look at her.

HLN showing interview with Ann Finnel, says she doesn't think Casey knows what happened to Caylee after the drowning! What? Defense laid out a scenerio detailing how George took her and he's the one who disgarded Caylee in the woods, now not even Casey know? Hmm, where did you get that story from then? Thin air? Ron's family had a relationship with him. Nicole's family had a relationship with her. This lady never had a relationship with Caylee and that's bc of her son, if he was even Caylee's dad anyway. She could try to bring a lawsuit but she'd never ever win. She would have to prove that Casey knew her & maliciously kept it from her. As far as I can see, Casey just got acquitted. There's no baby daddy on Caylee's birth certificate. Casey doesn't have to grant her the right to test the DNA to see if there's a match. The lady has no right. This isn't a case where she can legally exercise grandparent rights bc she never knew Caylee, had no relationship with her, Mike isn't on the birth certificate, the list goes on. Casey can say she remembers the guy & it wasn't Mike & there would be nothing this lady could do about it. If her son was the daddy then he shoulda fought to make sure his name was on that birth certificate...if he wanted rights in the future. If anything, if this lady keeps pressuring for a DNA test & Casey doesn't want to, then Casey can turn around & sue her for harassment. She could also make sure that lady stays a certain distance away from her.

Remember finger boy! Matt Bartlett? Guess what I came across last night: TONS of comments on various news outlets, paper comments, forums, etc made by a Matt. They started when Caylee was found dead in 2008. It's a stretch but what about if this Matt guy was a psycho hung up on Casey? Now if you think that is something worth pondering, then maybe this lady is the same for inserting herself.

I didn't like this woman when she came out of the woodworks, but the more I read the more I know that Casey can not be tried again, we all know GA and Cindy or Lee will not come forward with a civil suite. And we know, not just anyone can file a suite cause if that's the case we all would file one. I also know that this would be the only way to stop Casey from profiting off of Caylee. But that wont stop others from profitting so only answer is to not buy watch anything to do with none of them ever.

Since this verdict happened I have searched many web sites praying for some loophole that would get her to be retried, each idea fells, As heart breaking as it is we will just have to put it all in god's hands and let him seek the justice for Caylee, cause our justice system sure did fell her, and god knows how many others it will fell in the future.

One of the scariest things is how will this case effect justice for Zahra they only found bones also. We need to get rid of the double jeopardy law in cases like this, or a new law that  if there is strong enough evidence like in this case then it can be retried in the supreme courts. I don't know my belief in the legal justice system is really shot, it has left an emptiness inside of me that is hard to explain.

Considering the alleged grandmother of Caylee Marie Anthony supports the verdict handed down by the jury ... what would be the basis of a civil suit.

Casey Anthony of Florida has been found not guilty of killing her two-year-old daughter.

There is a Massachusetts connection to this story. Donna MacLean of Rutland claims to be Caylee Anthony's grandmother.

"I was really happy for her. I just started crying for her. I felt for her, I really did," says MacLean.
 
Donna MacLean may be a thousands of miles away from the courtroom drama in Orlando, but sitting in her Rutland, Massachusetts home, she is emotionally torn.
 
"I always felt she was innocent, I did," says MacLean.
 
Maclean says she is almost certain her now-deceased son, Michael Duggan, is Caylee Anthony's father. As Caylee's grandmother she says she's devastated she'll never meet the little girl, but stands by Casey Anthony.
 
"I feel bad for her, I don't even think she's had time to grieve," says MacLean.

Well Donna MacLean can always let Casey come live with her and rob her blind

I want them (DT) to explain why they used thousands of JAC money to investigate Kronk and the TES volunteers. Why would they need to do that if it was a simple accident that freakin snoballed out of control?  Even if they thought it was a good idea to have a body snatcher/mover/storer thrown in the mix, why did they need all that money to determine that he was "morally bankrupt".  JAC should inquire on that, so Baez had over 300k in the coffers plus the JAC money to defend an accident?

I have to say that I totally agree with both of you.  A woman with zero proof comes on the Nancy Grace show to tell the world she believes Caylee is her granddaughter?  Sorry.. doesn't fly with me.

Wait a sec... Casey can still profit from anything to do with Csylee. Anything she wants. I do believe there will be civil suits against her, but it won't keep her from profitting off of Caylee. She was her mother. She was acquitted. She has her rights back as of the 17th. What the civil case will do is sue her for reimbursement of moneys lost, maybe even pain & suffering...but what'll happen is she will be found liable for a certain dollar figure and all moneys coming into her will be garnished until the fines are fulfilled. It could be a million dollars.

After the verdict, I had to step away for a few days. 

I was optimistic the jury would see through all the bullchit and find her guilty.

I was stunned by their decision. 

With all the resources that have gone into this case, the time involved and the process of selecting these specific people for the jury, I am still stunned.

However, I am not going to give up.  I am not taking the stance that justice is DENIED.  I am of the opinion that Justice is DELAYED.

The world is a very big place, unlike the small, secure cell of which Casey has been accustomed to.  Every day, for the rest of her life, she will have to look over her shoulder- there are disturbed people out there who aren't people looking for an autograph or friendly chat. 
I certainly wouldn't want to live like that, I'm sure none of you do either.

John Lennon sang about peace and love and yet, someone took him out as they've taken out so many people in history.

Who knows in the grand scheme of things what the future holds for Casey. 
The actions Casey has chosen by brutally murdering Caylee, leave a large debt according to the laws of cause and effect- Karma. 

People are imagining all kinds of things- Casey be a millionaire, a celebrity. 
If she ever does make any money, I hope it goes back to the state of Florida and the numerous agencies and individuals who helped search for Caylee.

 

ummm... you're right.....but I wish that I hadn't been so stunned and angry after this happened because I could swear in some interview Mason or one of them made some blanket statement that this (accident) premise was their focus all along.  He's talked out his wahzoo since the verdict came down and half the time I felt like he didn't know which version of events he was talking about.

He pointed out the obvious on Huckabee the other night: Defense lawyers almost expect their clients to lie to them about their innocence. After a defense lawyer has done his job, if there's a guilty verdict, you go back and work harder. If there's an aquittal, there's no celebration....... it should leave you conflicted, at best. In this case, there is a baby that's dead. The DT needs to climb down off of their high horse. After being involved with Joran van der Sloot case for years; I think I can make an educated guess and I believe that the defense team is trying to sway public opinion away from blaming Casey and that is why suddenly you are hearing them on shows trying to make us believe that more people were involved. This is very reminiscent of what Joran van der Sloot did/does.

You know, I think we monkeys have felt every emotion we could possibly feel during the past 3 years. The past couple months was the worst. We felt anger, dismay, sadness, pride, happiness, the list goes on. Never in my life have I ever felt so let down. I feel like Caylee was failed. I'm just one person out of a million that feel this way. I feel helpless, like my hands are tied bc I want justice & I want it like yesterday.

We can make a difference by bringing awareness to the forefront. Pass new laws. Update old laws. Learn from mistakes & be proactive in doing good. We can make a difference, I know we can.

This stuff just sends me into orbit!! Look at Cindy's behavior upon finding out Caylee was missing. She reported it and demanded help from the police. Look at George's behavior. He pulled an officer aside and told him Casey might be lying and then proceeded to man tents, passing out fliers with Caylee's picture and pulling a billboard side all around town, to get Caylee's picture out there. He manned those tents using DUCT TAPE that the killer would absolutely know be found on her remains. To think George participated in what happened to Caylee is plain stupid.

Then look it slore mom's behavior. Within hours of Caylee last being seen, she shows up on videotape at a blockbuster wrapped around her boyfriend and laughing and joking............. without Caylee. For the next 31 days, until Mom puts an end to it, Casey is well documented partying, sleeping around, getting a tattoo, abandoning her car because it smells like human decomposition and lying to any and everyone who asks where Caylee is.

i am so tired of hearing people like Whoraldo saying she was a good mother...she didnt have a job for TWO years where was Caylee that whole time in the trunk? how was she partying when Caylee was alive...or if she was at Tonys...where was she...how is putting your child in the trunk anytime ok and a good mother nobody has asked what she did for two years

An Orlando television station has renewed the effort to obtain a jail videotape of Casey Anthony reacting to news that her daughter Caylee's remains were located.

WKMG-Channel 6 filed its motions last week, asking that the court unseal the videotape from Dec. 11 2008, which was ordered sealed in June 2009.

At that time, Judge Stan Strickland ordered the videotape sealed and stated the tape must not be released and viewed by the media or general public "until further order of this court."

"While the court is loath to shield any public record, an argument can certainly be made that the contents of the video are highly inflammatory," Strickland said in his three-page order.

Hours after Caylee's remains were found in woods near her family's east Orange County home, jail officials — responding to a request from the Sheriff's Office — moved Anthony from her cell to a medical facility, where a TV showed reports about the discovery.

Why oh why do I have opinions on everything?

First, IBE,  I loved your little "oh surprise, surprise" comment..

As of the defense saying they only know it was an accident, here is how I see it going down; the defense walks in and says, listen KC, you know we cannot lie.  You know we support you, and if you tell us it was an accident, we have to believe you.  We are here for you and will defend you even if it was an accident.  If you tell us you had a break down and cannot remember what happened after that, we understand;  if you tell us someone else was involved, we understand.
So, of course, viola, it was an accident.   However, they told KC to only tell them as much as they could present in court.


As for this so called grandmother...I do not believe her for one minute.   Now, if by some miracle dna says she is...she still is not the grandmother.   I am a grandmother.  I grandmother will fight to the death for her grandchild.  Especially if they loose their own son (and daughter);  they would want to hold onto something of their child.  You do not say "oh will they want child support" or move on with your own life after the funeral.  You grab at anything and everything that reminds you of your child, that keeps your child alive to you.

And who cares if they want child support....I haven't seen child support cover diapers and food.  Contributing to the care of my grandchildren has not been an emotional burden.   Of course in my case, my contribution is the fun stuff like dance class or memberships.

I apologize to the monkeys who have lost children and grandchildren....I do not know your experiences and feelings.  I am only voicing how I would feel.

What stood out to me from this interview is the foreman being sick that he had to write his name on the same form the skenky hoe wrote her name on.  If that makes you sick, something is wrong.  How can you find somebody not guilty when signing your name on the same form they signed their name no makes you sick?

don't be too surprised if you are disappointed by Greta's interview tonight. IMO she wouldn't know the right question to ask if it was on the teleprompter and IMO she really lacks quality judgement of people. She's prone to be believe a liar. The only time she was any good was when she  followed Beth Holloway around, which she did for ratings. It was Beth that was that was the driving force to find Natalee and find the truth.

I suspect that the verdict was a given prior to the trial opening statements of day one.

If persuation/influence/instruction had not been afforded to jury members and alternates between sequestration and the trial ... persuation/influence/instruction to disregard the State's case against Casey Anthony ... I firmly believe that there would have been no verdict forthcoming.  Following a reasonable deliberation period ... following the reviewing of evidence and ... following the requesting of clarification in regards to what constitute  actual proof ...  the outcome would have been a hung jury with only a small minority holding out for a not guilty verdict.

Could it be that in hind sight these runaway jury members realize it would have been wise to have gone through the motions of deliberation to avoid suspicion?

Orlando television statioin WKMG-TV Local 6 filed the request to unseal the video last week on July 6 just before the verdict came down. The station argued in its filing that "Now that the trial has started and the jury is sequestered, no prejudice to the defendant's right to a fair trial could incur."

While other pieces of evidence could be seen as damaging, the court said that "no other item comes to mind that would carry a similar inflammatory impact."

Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez declined to comment on the request.

Danielle Tavernier, a spokesperson for the Orange and Osceola County State Attorney's Office, said that the matter is between the judge and the TV station. "We don't have a dog in that fight," Tavernier said.

If released, the tape could further fan the outrage surrounding Anthony's not guilty verdict in the murder of her daughter.

In the past week, the jurors, Anthony family and Judge Belvin Perry have received threats regarding the case.

Anthony's highly-anticipated release from jail on Sunday has already prompted concerns for her safety and the announcement that special measures will be taken to protect her.

The Orange County Courthouse did not respond to inquiries regarding the time frame for when this decision will be made.

I don't think it matters what Casey told Baez. What could be important is what Baez coached out of Casey. She is a quick study and with very few suggestive words from her defense, she told him whatever he wanted to hear.


"You know, dad did some inappropriate things when I was little." If Baez thought information along that line would be useful in defense and indicated he wanted to know more...Casey filled in the blanks.

Casey can read people if a most amazing way and with unbelievable speed.

Just think: How ironic would it be if you needed therapy in the years to come, and unbeknownst to you, you could have Casey sitting right across from you, giving you advice, but you'd never realize it because she had plastic surgery...until it's too late...

The problem is if these TH's knew have the facts of the case that we know, they might conduct a decent interview.  One of us would have been all on top of that.  I want to know what they all thought the 3 pieces of duct tape on the face were for.  And, what about Zanny, she kept that Zanny story for so long.  Is it normal to make up stories like that for this jury maybe?

Casey never once that I saw looked at the judge..she appeared to be too intimidated by him. he walked right past her and never really looked her way many times..I remember seeing Casey looking at the judge in this picture..can't really remember why or when but I thought it very odd at the time..

WKMG General Manager Skip Valet said the station is pursuing the issue because, "There were some jail employees reprimanded at the time. We want to look into it. I think the tape is still a newsworthy piece of this story that hasn't been resolved."

Strickland, the original judge assigned to the case, watched the video and applied a three-part legal test, including whether the video could influence a potential jury pool.

"Given the nature and scope of the pretrial publicity, it is not unreasonable to assume that many persons in the potential jury pool might view this video and develop a 'hardened' attitude in reference to the defendant's guilt," Strickland wrote in his order.

In its latest motion, WKMG contends there is no prejudice to Anthony now and the tape should be released.

"It could potentially say a lot, it could potentially say nothing, but we think we should look at it and let people know what's contained on that tape," Valet said.

As of Monday, the defense filed no response to the request and no hearing date has been set.

He was compared to George Clooney but then he was said to more closely resemble the coach from Friday Night Lights. The only one I can think of that the media women would think was "hot" would maybe be referring to Coach Taylor from FNL. The only beauty in this is - in Casey's eyes, her mother will be getting deals before she is. Maybe they can start suing each other.  I would never read anything either of them had a hand in writing.  I admit I may, if in the right state of mind, watch an interview with Cindy.  The only reason being is for comic releif, as she has been to me the past 3 years.  Sponsers should realize that people don't WANT to hear from ANY Anthony.  If they will lie on the witness stand in a court of law, why would they ever tell the truth for money in an interview, book or movie.  With enough patience, they will self destruct..never to be heard from again. Hey guys, I just came across something... Remember that bipolar nut lady that had an outburst during jury selection? Remember she had to go in front of JBP for yelling baby killer or something? He sentenced her to 2 days in the Pinellas County Jail? Well a potential juror was being interviewed when that crazy lady had her outburst. JBP had that potential juror wait outside of that courtroom while he handled the situation with crazy lady. Well, while that potential juror was waiting in the hall, a man in black talked to her & asked her a bunch of questions...She assumes he's a detective...so JBP excuses her from the jury pull!

She was in court in another courtroom for domestic disputes, stopped in this court because she had never been there and has a 3-year-old and just wanted to know why!

Perry could have sentenced her to 179 in jail because of the gravity of the situation.  Judge Perry took her disability into account and sentences her to 2 days in the Pinellas County jail.

Just a bizarre, disturbing incident!

I know I am just wasting space here with these, but I enjoyed the comic relief. 

I am sorry, I will NOT respect this jury or their verdict, they are idiots and I sure as hell hope they don't bother to vote/ First of all so many of them thought it odd that George was combative with Jose, who on earth wouldn't be when accused of molesting their child and putting their p@@@@ in their kids mouth before school?? By the Constitution, we are required to be tried by our peers; those like us. That is the jury Casey got. Like her, "most" of them were not particularly well educated. "Most" did not read newspapers, just like Casey. "Most" did not watch the news on television; like Casey.

These people lived their lives in almost "loner" or "hermit like" fashion. They cared nothing about what was going on in the world around them; much like Casey. This jury was made up of people who cared little about anything except themselves and their own families. Yup, just like Casey.

Well informed jurors would have come away with pride at their conviction and guilty verdict.

At first interested primarily in the publicity that the case will bring, Vail comes to believe that his client is truly innocent, much to the chagrin of the prosecutor (and Vail's former lover), Janet Venable.

Vail discovers that powerful civic leaders, including the District Attorney, have lost millions in real estate investments due to a decision by the Archbishop not to develop certain church lands. The archbishop received numerous death threats as a result. He also learns that the archbishop had been sexually abusing altar boys, including Stampler.

Introducing this evidence, while it would make Stampler more sympathetic to the jury, would also give his client a motive for murder, something the prosecution otherwise has lacked.

The trial does not proceed well for the defense, as there is considerable evidence against Stampler and public opinion holds him almost certainly guilty. When Vail confronts his client and accuses him of having lied, Aaron breaks down and transforms into a new persona, a violent sociopath who calls himself "Roy." He confesses to the murder of the archbishop and throws Vail against the wall, injuring him.

When this incident is over, Aaron appears to have no recollection of it. Molly Arrington, the psychiatrist examining Aaron, is convinced he suffers from multiple personality disorder due to childhood abuse by his own father.[2] However, Vail cannot enter an insanity plea during an ongoing trial.

Vail sets up a confrontation in court. After Venable questions him harshly, Aaron turns into Roy and charges at her, threatening to snap her neck if anyone comes near him. Aaron is subdued by courthouse marshals and is rushed back to his cell. In light of Aaron's apparent insanity, the judge dismisses the jury in favor of a bench trial and then finds Aaron not guilty by reason of mental insanity, and remands him to a mental hospital.

Vail visits to tell him this news. Aaron says he recalls nothing of what happened in the courtroom, having again "lost time." However, just as Vail is leaving, Aaron asks him to "tell Ms. Venable I hope her neck is okay," which is not something that Aaron should have been able to remember if he had "lost time." Vail points this out, whereupon Stampler grins slyly and reveals that he has been pretending to be insane the whole time. But he didn't make up the identity of Roy, he made up Aaron.

Stampler now admits to having murdered the archbishop, as well as his girlfriend, Linda, whom the cleric also had molested. Stunned and disillusioned, Vail walks away, with Roy taunting him from the cell.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Juror No. 11, the elected foreman for the Casey Anthony murder trial jury, says the not-guilty verdict in the trial left him "with a feeling of disgust."
The juror, whose face was obscured and his name not revealed, chose to speak with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren.

The man told Van Susteren that it was the state's failure to prove the cause of Caylee's death that led to the acquittal.

"When I had to sign off on the verdict, the sheet that was given to me -- there was just a feeling of disgust that came over me knowing that my signature and her signature were going to be on the same sheet," the juror said.

Anthony does not sign the verdict sheets, only the foreman does.

Geo and Cindy's attorney said "The defense NEVER talked to Geo about alleged molestation of Casey. Prosecution knew it was going to come up at trial. The PROSECUTION informed Geo of this. The defense had Casey's diary and not one time was the molestation mentioned."

I have looked through ALL of the Pinellas County High School sites...I ran across one Jim...but, he is not in his 30s...though some of the school sites only listed names and not their position at the school...so it could have been one of those. From the picture that showed him from behind he appears to have dark skin and dark hair and short to average height and stocky.

I haven't looked through the jury records to see if he said he worked in Pinellas county - is there a chance he just lives there?  We lived in Tampa Bay for over 10 years and it's large and pretty much all connected.  You might try Hillsborough county or Pasco county schools as well.  We lived in all three counties at one time or another during our time there, and my husband always had to commute out of county.  And if he lived in south St. Pete, there's a chance he could even commute to Sarasota (Sarasota county).

Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering her daughter, but scores of Facebook posts still hound her.
Thousands of members of the social networking site have set up Casey Anthony pages to criticize her, curse at her and even follow her when she is released Sunday.

Some pages are memorials to Caylee Anthony, 2, who disappeared in June 2008. A month later, the child's grandmother reported her missing; her body was found in December. On July 5, a jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of killing her.

By late Monday afternoon, 16,265 people had pledged to "Wear Purple for Caylee Anthony's Birthday" onAug. 9.

Shooting someone after they are down is inexcusable, but if someone has a gun in hand and is trying to rob you, why not shoot them a bunch of times?  I'm sure there is much more to this case than in the article but I'm left thinking our justice system does the right thing only sometimes. maybe less than half the time.

JENKINS: Take me inside the case. Was there one defining moment where you -- it really cemented things for you, it really had an impact on your thinking on the case as an alternate juror, you were going to draw upon that moment or moments in your determining?

HUEKLER: I think it was at the end, you know, of the case. I kept an open mind completely, you know, from day one to the very end day. And what really hit home for me is when the attorney, Mr. Mason, was explaining, you know, the burden of proof on the prosecution, and you know, from she might have done it or, man, she -- she did it, OK? And when he went through those different steps, discussing -- you know, explaining what is reasonable doubt, it was right then and -- it was at that point -- I was -- my gut reaction was that they had not met their burden of proof.

JENKINS: So your doubt was more that it was murder, rather than this tragic accident, and perhaps the prosecution made their flaw by pushing on the murder, rather than a mother who clearly may have mishandled a tragic accident?

HUEKLER: Well, the mother mishandled something, OK? What that is, we don't know and we're never going to know. Only, you know, Casey knows at this point. You know, something horrific did happen. You had the death of a beautiful little 2-year-old that's life should not have ended. But again, since they couldn't prove, you know, the murder -- within a reasonable doubt that a murder had taken place, I think the jury had -- the way they voted I had to agree with.

JENKINS: Let's talk about Casey's lying. What did you make of that? Pretty apparent.

HUEKLER: Yes, I -- definitely, the lying. But what you have to remember with Casey, these lies just didn't start, you know, 31 days, you know, prior to when, you know -- when they speculate when Caylee died until she was arrested and afterwards -- you know, afterwards. She had been lying for up to two years with the -- I'll quote Mr. Baez's "the imaginary friends," you know, Zanny the nanny. So those lies -- she had been living these lies for a long time.
