- Orange County sheriff Jerry Demings said Tuesday that an intelligence detective has been assigned to assess any threats against Casey Anthony.

Demings also said that deputies will make sure Anthony is released from jail safely, but said they will not be escorting her to wherever she chooses to go.

"We're not personal security," Demings said.

Anthony is expected to be released from the Orange County Jail on Sunday. A jury recently found her not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.

He said the jury searched for any felonies to charge Casey with, but given the evidence, none applied.

During more than 30 days of testimony, the jurors heard all about Casey's promiscuous behavior and partying, all while her daughter was missing.

However, none of that was illegal, so the jury did not factor Casey's wild behavior into their verdict.

"We wish there was something else we could look at that would be a felony. Something, we don't have the power to do this, we don't have the ability to put the laws in place for this, but, something where you do not report a child missing it would be a felony for every hour, every day, whatever goes on, it gets worse and worse because her actions were disgusting."

The jury foreman said he wishes they could've at least charged her for waiting 31 days to report her daughter missing.

A new bill would give future jurors that option.

I was thinking about one time I told a lie to a friend about not wanting to go to lunch with her, we usually went out once or twice a month. Well this time I just really didnt feel like going so I called her the night before and told her I had twisted my ankle and wanted to know if we could put off going to lunch. I didnt twist my ankle, then next day after I told that to her I was walking across the room and actually twisted my ankle and was in a cast for a month,

This is actually a larger post I am working on for FP. How does a jury go from 2 jurors saying Casey Anthony was guilty of first degree, capital murder to not even charging her with aggravated child abuse? Seriously! Two individuals thought she murdered her child and yet they could not find it in themselves to force a lesser charge? How about the 6 that voted for second degree murder initially? What happened to them?

The sick feeling that all of you felt after declaring Casey "not guilty" was your conscience telling you to go back and take another look at the evidence. Sadly, you just wanted to go home. In typical 2011 fashion, you look to blame others for your actions.

You know what? I take back what I said earlier. If they're "shopping around", then it's all about the money. If they want money for pain & suffering, why not do a civil suit?

Somehow each of us will have to adjust our anger and hurt over the unjustice that was given to Caylee, I pray on it every night and morning that god will take the hurt and anger I feel towards these jurors, Casey and her lawyers and help me turn it into something positive.

I am working on a website for Caylee where its about her only, it'll have a guestbook where anyone can write her a letter or note.
I'm hoping this will help me with my feelings.

What I find interesting about Simms is that during the trial, she appeared very demure, like she wasn't proud to be on the defense team but took the position for whatever reason, wouldn't look at Casey as is if she couldn't stand to, when she was consoling Casey, it was so fake, the minute Casey was found not guilty, oh boy, she was all hugs, smiles and tears, proud to be a part of it all and now this new makeover, plz! She has NOTHING to be proud of, she was part of a team that helped set a baby killer free and all because the jury was as idiotic as the DT and bought all the crap, she needs to go back in her hole, a new do and a lil make-up isn't going to change the fact that she looks like a man, perhaps she and Casey can get a 2 for 1 on plastic surgery.

Casey Anthony has been served with another lawsuit.

Earlier in the week, the recovery group Texas Equusearch announced it was suing Casey for over $15,000 in damages from its search for Casey's daughter, Caylee, in 2008.

Wednesday morning, Tim Miller, the group's founder, was seen at the Orange County Jail as Casey was served with the latest civil suit against her.

Equusearch said it is demanding a trial by jury to decide the case.

Don't throw nanners please ... I love Dorothy Simms' new look. She shoulda don't this a long time ago. I looked at pics of her 10 years ago & she looks younger than that with her new style. Her eyebrows are perfect. Wherever she went did a great job.

I have to say though, I personally think the only reason she got involved in Casey's case is bc she's completely & unequivocally against capital punishment resulting in death. She believes in prison sentences and reform. At least as far as I can tell. She has a good heart. Out of every single person on the Defense team, Ms. Simms is the only one I can't put down. I'm disheartened that she became involved with this child killer but I personally think her convictions are true to her heart.

Poor Sherriff Fleming has to protect her. 

Let's say we caught Osama and he was brought to trial.  After he called killed all our people, imagine some sheriff having to protect him during his trial?

Now, granted Osama and Beotch are on slightly different levels, but each are very evil, and in my very strong opinion, do not warrant protection from the very people they hurt. 

This fact will haunt me for a very long time.  She will just pick up a phone.  she will have the sheriff on speed dial.  Umm, these people are being mean to me.  I, personally, as I said, would quit, but if I didn't quit, I would be fired, because I would refuse to protect her.

That's not to say the jury should have convicted Anthony of first-degree murder. Reasonable people can disagree about the amount and quality of evidence.

But the six-week trial once again revealed problems in a justice system that we Americans regard as the greatest in the world.

Perhaps most troubling was this one cold fact:

In 2011, with all the cutting-edge forensics at our disposal, with a sophisticated court system evolved over centuries to sort truth from fiction, we couldn't identify and convict to the satisfaction of 12 educated people the killer of one of the most vulnerable members of our society.

It's a failure. A swing and a miss. Any argument to the contrary is to accept a substandard brand of justice, to settle for something less when we should aspire to something more.

To most of us, this wasn't an entertaining contest between attorneys. It was a contest between good and evil, and evil, it seems, won this time.

That is the fountainhead of our public outrage.

Only if there are legitimate, credible threats, Casey will be responsible for her own security/protection once she is off OC jail property......not Law Enforcement.
She will have to pay out of her own pocket. The only thing she will find in her pockets when she leaves OC jail is cobwebs. She will go back to stealing $$$ from other people.....that's the only way she knows how to get money. The word "work" is not in her vocabulary. That's why we the people must be diligent in boycotting anything & everything Casey tries to sell to make money!

With Juror 11 claiming to read people as part of his job and in so many words claiming being a teacher played a part in why he didn't need to take notes, I wish someone would ask him what the details were George spoke vividly about when remembering June 15th-wrong day there Einstein, the 15th was Father's Day and Cindy took Caylee to the nursing home to see her dad, I don't remember George testifying about the 15th Mr No note taker!

I also want him asked if to explain why he thought the jury was removed during George's gas can cross. Before being removed to school Baez, the jury did hear all the prosecutions "objection-not in evidence" to which every time Judge Perry said "sustained" and as those "objection-NOT IN EVIDENCE
....."SUSTAINED!!" stacked both prosecution and Judge Perry were both showing signs of frustration. Because apparently George was blamed for baez basing his questions on the statement and photo not in evidence.

Considering one report was based on a shed broken into and gas cans stolen and the other based after Caylee's remains were found and LE came with a search warrant taking the gas cans to compare duct tape, it would appear to be conflicting statements, as the first account he didn't know Caylee was missing and the second they had found remains so I highly doubt the shed was even a thought when that account went down.

In Caylee's case, they found her mother not guilty of a whole list of things...but, the did not charge her with NEGLECT. If Casy was found innocent, but Caylee died, would it not be neglect that led to her death? Casey can't seem to tell any one where Caylee was. That is neglect.

Not a clue where she possibly thinks she can go work.  What are her skills?  Let's think this through.

1.  She can sleep around.  Check.
2.  She can kill babies.  Check.
3.  She can hoodwink juries.  Check.
4.  She can lie, lie, and then lie some more.  This is a check for both 1 and 4. 
5.  She can steal.  Check.
6.  She can make up jobs but they don't pay much.  Check.

Whoever hires her, especially if she stays in Orlando, better have a ton of security because there will be problems with protestors. 

I think she may have more luck in Texas, but who knows.

They will not be able to recoup money for bringing that guy from Gentiva in and the last minute investigation into her time logged in at work for those Chloro google search days. The only way they'll be able to get that portion of the money back is if they pursue perjury - which they aren't. Since they are not charging Cindy for lying, then their request for Camperlengo's testimony & his data backup would be deemed frivolous.

I'm let down that people get tickets for Cali rolls but there are no fines imposed for lying on the stand.

I personally hope she goes to Texas, and that some big old Texan makes it his/her personal goal to "get er done."

Over the past three years, Cindy Anthony has, IMO, done many things which are legally questionable, to say the least.  Among them interferring with an investigation, lying to LE, tampering with evidence, impersonating an officer (The night she and that fat slob who's name I don't remember and George, chasing that Lois person) theft (Arranging for the toys left at the site of Caylee's remains to be stolen) and perjury.  I don't know why, but for some reason she is immune to prosecution.

It is only because of Caylee's death that I feel the way I do.  Without Caylee, there would have been no trial and her murderer would not have gone free.  Without a respect and sorrow for Caylee, I would not be pushing for punishment of those who contributed to her death.  Without Caylee, many of us wouldn't even be here.  I can't just let Caylee's murder go by without at least protesting.  That would be a betrayal of Caylee.

While it is too late to protect Caylee in life, perhaps we can protect her in death by pointing our fingers at those responsible.  It is only about Caylee.

Sorry, I was of the impression that the STATE wasn't going to prosecute Cindy for perjury, but that's not saying GENTIVA isn't going to file a criminal complaint- they have all the paperwork and the investigators reports that Cindy was at work and times she wasnt at home.

In the meantime, it's Gentiva's attorneys who have to make that decision.

Before that, she didn't have a pot to....well, you know.  So much now that she needs a financial advisor. 

There's something very, very wrong with this picture.  It stinks to high heaven.  Maybe Rivera is right about Lamar wanting to be reelected.  But if that's the case, I think he would win a lot of friends by prosecuting Cindy Anthony.  I don't live in FL so can't vote there, but if I could, here's one vote Lamar wouldn't get. It's outrageous.

Her testimony changed in a twinkling of the eye.  She lied under oath about searching for "Chlorofil." She wasn't even home and the State proved it.  How much proof do they need? Why did her testimony change?  Was it witness tampering? By whom? That layer of Teflon gets thicker and thicker.  What next.  If she kills George will she get a pass because she's a grieving grandmother?  Forget it.  Wrong example.

Well considering kc was on Caylee's birth certificate, therefore responsible for her it looks to me like the only two choices the jury had to pick from was 1-kc was watching her or 2. But Perry stands to lose it all in the Sept. 5 election over a love affair with a court worker, which escalated into a federal discrimination investigation and an embarrassing scandal.

I remember reading that he was involved in a nasty divorce when he took over from Judge Strickland.

I cannot be this poor of a judge of character.  It is not possible that 95% of the people following this case believer her to be a baby killer and she not be.  It is not possible that I find every move she makes to be evil, and 12 jurors on 1 jury panel buy every lie she spews out.

I just got through listening to the highlights of George's testimony. All the talking heads are dissecting the trees in the forest, and nobody's stepping back and looking at the forest.

The forest screams that KC had been dumping Caylee a long time before she dumped her in that swamp. She used to drop her off to Jesse's Dad 3 times a week so she could go to "work"......... yet she had no job. She didn't want to spend time with Caylee and lied so she didn't have to.

The forest screams that KC concocted one lie after the other to avoid being caught without Caylee by her family. Face to face with them, she would run out of workable lies as to her whereabouts. When it happened, she had to fall back on a lie that would not hold up.

The forest screams that within hours of being last seen with Caylee, she's videotaped renting movies without her and for 31 days she tells a variety of lies to explain why she's not with her.

The forest screams that her car smelled like human decomposition so badly that she couldn't drive it.

How....... please help me understand how, a jury could be so distracted by pure allegations of affairs, incest, unnoticed pregnancy, or anything else to ignore the forest's screams?

We lived in Pinellas county for several years so although we rolled our eyes and said "that figures" when it happened...that said.

This is America.  When do you EVER get 12 people to agree to ANYTHING down to the very final, tiny little detail - much less have them all focused in on all the exact same tiny little things without ever having the bigger picture in view, and regardless of how much other testimony / evidence was submitted - to only have it all regurgitated back exactly the same after the fact by each one?

You never hear eye-witness accounts of robberies that match.  You go to a wedding or conference and get offered "the chicken or the fish" in addition to the main menu item.  You go to Taco Bell and can get Long John Silvers or KFC because no one can agree in the drive-thru.  We've seen Coke flip to New Coke to be like Pepsi because of that age-old fight, and then quickly back again to Classic because people really are one or the other.  Wendy's added in a vanilla Frosty because some people just couldn't hack chocolate after all those years apparently.  Almond Joy's got nuts - Mounds don't.  My best friend and I are identical twins split at birth and every little idiosyncrasy that makes us who we are to the very core...they're all the same (including silly little things like loving salsa but hating tomatoes to having the same favorite pair of shoes we each bought in separate states 5 years before we even knew each other)...but I live and breathe college football and she would rather gouge her eyes out than watch a single play.  You're Apple or PC.  You're liberal or conservative.  You're a meat-eater or vegetarian / vegan.  You're Target or Wal Mart.  You're Letterman or Leno.  CNN or FOXNews.  Honda or Volkswagen / Ford or Chevy.

You put 12 people together because their life experiences will vary.  Their religious beliefs will vary.  Their educations will vary.  Their families (or lack of) will vary.  Their incomes will vary.  Their opinions on crime and punishment will vary.  And out of that difference is supposed to come one collective voice of reason and judgment.

Yet every time these people open their mouths, I feel like they took the opening and closing statements of Baez and just Tweeted it back to us in 140 characters or less.  THAT was the trial to them.  They didn't even bother cranking out the Cliff's Notes.

My husband and I spent more time on the Internet picking a 15th anniversary 3-day vacation destination than these people spent deliberating during a murder trial - a murder trial of a CHILD.  We actually read reviews on Travelocity for that vacation.  They didn't look at a single piece of evidence or read back a single passage of testimony.

Does not compute.  And most likely never will.

They could have said ANYTHING and the jurors would have accepted it as "Reasonable Doubt." The case was lost from the beginning.

But the public outrage over Anthony's acquittal on murder charges is making some in the industry rethink the wisdom of adapting her story to the screen.

Casey loves her face and all that it represents. Her face has made her a celebrity and I think she absolutely believes it will take her to Hollywood, introductions to other celebrities, invitations to "A" list parties, fame and fortune. Anthony is said to be making plans to assume a new identity and considering disguises to change her appearance to avoid being recognized. Hey, at least she has some practice telling elaborate lies.

“There even have been discussions about cosmetic surgery, but Casey has rejected that out of hand,” an Anthony insider told the Sun-Times.

But this might not be all bad news for Texas parents. The words "Casey Anthony" can replace the boogeyman and strike fear in the hearts of children. Good morning Monkeys.  I, too, and tired of being told to "Respect the jury's decision."  I do not.  How can I respect a group of people who sat in judgement of a baby killer, yet couldn't judge?  It appears from what a few of them have said, they found every way possible to come up with a logical reason for finding the baby killer "Not gulity," yet there is no possible locical reason.  The fact that Baez told them "Good morning," means Casey's innocent?  How could these morons, who were presumed to be adults with powers of reasoning, believe one word that Baez said.  It should have been stressed by Judge Perry that what was said by the attorneys was not evidence.  It should have been stressed that what was said in opening statements was not a statement of fact. I have not watched, nor will I watch, a single member of the jury on their media blitz.  My information comes from those of you who did watch and from what I gather, they didn't deliberate, reason nor did  they have an interest in doing so.  They liked Baez (Which certainly says something about them) and they made up reasons to find the baby killer not guilty.  Not one reason for their decision that  I have heard is legal nor does it even make sense.

I do respect our system of justice, but do not respect  most notably and recently these twelve idiots who are destroying that system.  The "deliberated" for less that 11 hours.  During that period of time they ate at least four meals, talked about getting that stupid woman out in time for her trip, and admired Baez and themselves. It didn't leave much time for Caylee.  I guess she didn't matter to them. She's dead.

I also blame Judge Perry who seemed to be in such a hurry to keep the trial on his schedule and who allowed and, in fact, forced people on the jury who obviously were not intelligent enough to even understand the evidence, much less make a decision about it.  It also seemed to me that he favored the defense and the reason, IMO, was to get a not guilty verdict so that his precious appeal record would be preserved.  Well, the trial was not about him.  It was about the heinous murder of a precious little girl who's life has been counted as nothing.  Some of his rulings can only be explained in light of the above, and not to insure a fair trial.  While the defendent is entitled to a fair trial, so is the citizenry of this country and IMO this was denied.

Respect that jury?  I think not. I feel nothing but disdain for them and for Judge Perry.  Congratulations, Your Honor, your record and timetable stand.

I just got through listening to the highlights of George's testimony. All the talking heads are dissecting the trees in the forest, and nobody's stepping back and looking at the forest.

The forest screams that KC had been dumping Caylee a long time before she dumped her in that swamp. She used to drop her off to Jesse's Dad 3 times a week so she could go to "work"......... yet she had no job. She didn't want to spend time with Caylee and lied so she didn't have to.

The forest screams that KC concocted one lie after the other to avoid being caught without Caylee by her family. Face to face with them, she would run out of workable lies as to her whereabouts. When it happened, she had to fall back on a lie that would not hold up.

The forest screams that within hours of being last seen with Caylee, she's videotaped renting movies without her and for 31 days she tells a variety of lies to explain why she's not with her.

The forest screams that her car smelled like human decomposition so badly that she couldn't drive it.

How....... please help me understand how, a jury could be so distracted by pure allegations of affairs, incest, unnoticed pregnancy, or anything else to ignore the forest's screams?

It was only about Caylee. That's what it was supposed to be about........... Caylee.

It is encouraging to read that no one is really jumping on the Casey Anthony bandwagon.  I believe that as long as we continue to voice our opinions and outrage about this verdict the more impact it will have on preventing Casey from making money off Caylee's little back.  Boycott, boycott and more boycotts. 

George Anthony said he disagrees with the criticism of the law. He said when he first heard about the petition, he cried.

“This is a great legacy for my granddaughter. Other children still need assistance,” Anthony said. “If it reflects on my daughter, well, so be it.”

He plans to meet with representatives in Florida and hopes to get the law passed next year.

Casey Anthony may not be off the hook yet – she still could face a possible wrongful death lawsuit being masterminded by the man who pinned a multi-million dollar judgment against O.J. Simpson.

After a jury acquitted Anthony of charges that she killed 2-year-old daughter Caylee, a famed celebrity lawyer has signed on to represent Donna MacLean, a Massachusetts woman who claims to be the tiny tot's lost grandmother.

"I have been instructed by my lawyer John Q. Kelly not to speak with the press anymore," MacLean, 47, of Rutland, Mass., told Star. "At this time, I'm listening to my legal advice."

It was Kelly who convinced a jury to find O.J. liable for the murders of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman and won $33.5 million in punitive damages from the former football star turned actor.

Let's see...Judge Blevin Perry lied to investigators and he slept around while he was married. By the defense's definition, doesn't that make him a lying slut? Just wondering.

John Morgan might end up being our biggest hero (well, in line with prosecution), but depoing Casey he can ask her the questions prosecution could not.  It's gonna be good watching Casey have to answer question John Morgan asks her.

If OJ Simpson could not avoid a disposition, (he was a real celeb), I doubt she will wrangle out of this.
I wonder if going to Puerto Rico,  she will playing, catch me, catch me, if you can :)

Sorry for the quote stack, but I remember very well.  I asked Tony if she had permission to drive his Jeep while he was gone.  She did NOT.  I still wouldn't read the book.  What would it say?  She lied about Caylee to us, cooked and cleaned for us and did us.....ooops, I mean did Tony????  What else is there to say??

I did not mean to infer the potential grandmother  is entitled to anything.  I just know Mr. Kelly is fearless and I hope he acts like a gnat if she is indeed the biological grandmother.  Anyone that can set up Joran is a gem in my book.  Casey is a public nuisance and she needs to keep being reminded of that.

So, it says the affair started in 1990 & JBP said it only lasted 2 years. There was a $65,000 settlement for Jill losing her job in 1999. In the UK Daily Mail, she insists the affair lasted 7 years. If JBP says it started in 90 but only lasted 2 years, that would mean it ended in 92. But...Jill was fired from her job & the timing would seem off a bit. I mean, she didn't have to say it lasted 7 years. It only made her look worse IMO. Both of them looked bad. The settlement was $65,000 bc it was found Jill was dismissed unfairly.

I never researched JBP even though there were some thing questionable in his past. Maybe we should have?

Considering John Q Kelly's involvement with Beth Holloway, to me, it gives this would be grandma some measure of possible credibility.  Honestly, yes, it would have made more sense for her to come forward earlier, but if it puts a hurt on the Anthony's I say go for it.  Anything to make them suffer at this point is okay with me.

Many thought she was just a kook wanting the spotlight, so I stopped mentioning her.
