I'm an Aruban and I truly pray they will find her, the one thing I can tell you is that where they went swimming is very dangerous. We as locals don't swim on that location. There were more people that have drowned there. I don't know what the suspect is capable of but if they had tell anybody they were going to swim on that site, I'm sure that they would have been advised not to go there due to the rip currents found there.

Clarin Arends ‎@Jen, people do the darnest thing when they are on vacation, things you don't do normally like sky-diving, drinking till early hrs in the morning and going to casino's, my X-boyfriend and his friend were approached by 2 American lady lawyers to have fun whit them in their hotelroom, his friend went but he didn't because he is of very strong religious convictions. Btw they were married. And I guess they don't do that either when their back home. But don't get me wrong, it still has to be investigated and to have a close look at the suspect. But you as well as I do know that you need proof or clues of what really went wrong and to have a conviction that sticks.

John Elmendorf Her boyfriend himself had a domestic violence order put in place against him by his ex wife Ashley from April 2007 to April 2008. A woman who dated Giordano and filed a criminal complaint against him, Valerie Portney, also had a long running criminal case against ANOTHER psycho she was seeing named Bruce Kaplan, this guy was put in jail for violating domestic violence orders entered by the Court ordering him to stay away from her. ALL of the people centered around this case, Gardner, Giordano, Forester, and most of the women who have come forward who claimed to fate Giordano have ALL had domestic violence/peace order issues yet NONE of this is being reported. Someone needs to get on the phone to Nancy Grace before her show tomorrow night and let the true facts come out

Here is an interesting tidbit I uncovered that you might find interesting. In 2009 her husband (Kenneth Gardner) filed for divorce from her. He was granted a divorce in 2009 and case was closed. Case was reopened in February of this year by ex husband who was petitioning Court to have the amount of alimony he was paying her lowered.....In June of this year the Court ordered the couple to take part in mediation to try and resolve the issue, and a hearing was scheduled for October of this year.....now suddenly she is "gone" and with her, so is his obligation to pay any more alimony......

What really upsets me is that my best friend and I were both in Aruba 31 July - 05 August and NOT once did we see anything referencing her disappearance. I would have hoped/assumed there would have been MISSING PERSON signs posted and people handing out fliers with her information asking if anyone had seen her.

Kevin McGill I think there may be some websites out there that are dedicated to nothing more that pure speculation, rumors, and innuendos about Robyn. People seem to get off on doing this sort of thing because it gets them some attention. From what I've been reading, it sounds like some people have been visiting the scandal sites, and think they have something to offer. Again, the main focus of this site is to bring real information and encouragement to Robyn's friends and loved ones. It really trips me out how in the middle of a tragedy like this, people can spread their crap around.

John Elmendorf Good God, these people who claim to be this woman's "friends" are just ignorant and in denial. No one is condemning her for the life she chose to live, nor judging her, but trust me, the FBI now knows ALL of the details of her life and her relationship with Giordano. He was never a "platonic" friend, and they were both mutual participants in a relationship where he provided her with support, money and gifts etc, in return for her spending time with him, in and out of bed. Is that wrong? it is not for us to judge, but all of these people trying to hide the nature of this womans relationship when it is wholly relevant to why she was with this nut in Aruba in the first place are just plain IGNORANT. Trust me, what will come out in time once the FBI has gone through all of his computer, phone bank and other records will paint a completely different picture of what these two people were doing together over the last two years....

Now that I have told my daughter about this, she is a bit freaked out. She does not want to be on camera at this time, and does not want to discuss it. One thing she said to me, that made me laugh a bit, was the fact that this could have been her, and she would never have gotten to meet Lady Gaga! Young girls need to be very careful. I did not hear any more from him until I saw the story on the news.
I heard that her family and friends did not understand why she went with him, and I do. He made the offer sound great. I also learned today that she had just lost her job as well.
I remembered that he had e mailed me a couple of times the day or 2 before he had called saying he was a producer and was interested in speaking to my daughter about working with him on modeling jobs. Said he had jobs all over the world including Jamacia, Aruba, the Virgin Islands etc. I had looked him up on the web site my daughter's profile was on, and saw his profile, and he had his picture, as well as in the info, he was a producer, manager etc...It is no longer on there as of this date...
When he called, I did not put the 2 together, at the time...

Nilda Ferrer When I was attending college I had someone come up to me as I was eating my lunch and insisted in making me a model. I told him I was not interested but he kept trying to persuade me. I was a few blocks away from school and was by myself. I was surrounded by a bunch of construction workers who heard what was going on and told the guy to leave me alone and I am grateful to this day that one of them offered to walk me back to school. I trusted him because I was use to seeing him on my way to school and those guys were nice. He then told me he had a daughter around my age and he'd hope that if his daughter were in a situation like me and he wasn't around that someone would help her.

I told him he was a scumbag and NO REAL producer would even think like that much less actually SAY it! He called me a bunch of names, said he KNEW we needed the money and I just blew the greatest thing ever. More cursing me out , telling me things such as he could make me disappear and no one would look for me, he knows where I live, etc.. and so I told him off and hung up the phone. I then tried to re-dial his number, to tell him off more, and found out it was a fake number. I have done some checking into him as a producer and can not find anything to this date.

HE thought he had me on the hook by this point, having talked about snorkeling, jet skiing, shopping, clubbing and modeling. He made the trip sound great. THEN he started asking me really personal questions such as was I single, did I ever do any modeling, would I like to hook up with a producer who was well endowed both in the physical and financial department?
That threw me. I told him I was not interested and neither was my daughter, and he got angry. He said I was an idiot throwing away a free trip and cash. He said if I went, and would sleep with him, and he would take care of me well. He then said we would be taken care of for the rest of my life (financially) if I let him have my daughter as well.

I then got back on the phone as me, and he told me all about the shoot, and she would be well taken care of. Also there would be no sex involved. Anything to put me at ease. He was very convincing. He even said he would share the room with her to make sure she was safe, "after the Natalee Holloway thing"...Saying he would take care of everything and be sure she was guarded the whole time etc...(that is when I started to get suspicious).
I told him that she could not travel abroad alone, and I would have to accompany her. He started asking me personal questions, such as build, look etc...When I asked him why he was asking me this, he said he could get me into the shoot as well, and could give us $7000 each if we both came. That the company was doing a mother/daughter swimsuit edition as well.

He asked if she had a current passport,and when I said" yes," and he he proceeded to tell me about the trip to Aruba and the shoot.
He said all expenses would be paid, she could go shopping while she was there, "on the company", and she would get $5000 cash as well, on top of everything else, just to go and shoot for a few days. He said he was in a fix because of the other girl backing out and needed someone right away. He was talking about the great sunrises and sets there, and the "infinite beauty"of the island and that was why they were shooting there. 
He really came off as having known my daughter and as having talked to her before. Which I knew he had not. I told him it sounded great and to hold on one second so he could talk to my mom/manager. (This whole time he thought I was my daughter)

It was already very suspicious that the guy left the location when police was looking for her on the evening she was reported missing.He just left went back to the hotel and did not even care. Also when you see the pictures taken right after police came to the location he was just sitting down very relaxed and he even seemed to have a smile on his face...

Just seems too easy that he could have sold her. Think about it. He needed a cute blond (which is why he had also contacted my daughter to go) and it is too easy for him to take her to this beach (no witnesses apparently) and perhaps a boat pulls up and he had made prior arrangments to sell a blond to whom ever was on the boat. He went to Univ of Maryland and also Severna Park High School. Guy is well known as a psycho on dating sites, including the adult sex site he is on called "Adultfrie ndfinder". ..word is that this Gardner woman met him on the adult sex site and NOT Match.com, her friends and family told the cops it was Match.com to keep her from looking like she was some kind of sew for money chick....

A fisherman in Aruba says he saw the man suspected of Robyn Gardner's disappearance driving erratically and appearing to be drunk on the day the American tourist vanished.

Sergio Silva told ABC's "Good Morning America" that he saw Gardner and Gary Giordano leaving the Rum Reef Bar & Grill in a rental car on Aug. 2, driving "in the wrong direction."

Later that evening, Silva says Giordano looked like he was drunk while he was speaking with police on the beach during the initial search for the missing tourist.

"Cops were all over him, trying to talk to him, and he would just mumble -- nobody could understand what he was saying," the eyewitness told "Good Morning America."

The lawyer who beat a murder rap for Casey Anthony is now part of the defense team for an American businessman who is jailed in Aruba under suspicion of killing a gal pal.

Jose Baez confirmed in a text message to The Associated Press Tuesday that he was hired to defend Gary Giordano. He declined to talk about his role in the case on the Dutch Caribbean island.

Baez, who was the lead lawyer for Anthony in her sensational Florida criminal trial on charges she killed her 2-year-old daughter, was hired by Giordano's father, Frank, Giordano's Aruban lawyer told The Associated Press.
