TMZ has learned the reason Paris Hilton stayed at home while the lawyers and judge sat in court is because the Sheriff's Department refused to pick her up.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Sheriff's position is that the judge does not have the power to order her to court. The Sheriffs believe they have sole jurisdiction to monitor and control Hilton while she is under house arrest.

The Sheriff's Department says they are the only ones authorized to take her anywhere. Thus, the standoff in court.

The issue may have been resolved, but that is why the hearing was delayed this morning.

I had my whole body pet scan and nothing lit up.  YIPPEE!  I'm a stage IIB confined to that one spot on my my right forearm near my elbow.  The next step is to to go bcak to surgery and clear the margins.  The ONC is looking into entering me in a vaccine trial for people at my stage.  I am ECSTATIC over this news.

Rob ~ I know what you're saying ~ Kelsey's murder got me thinking about Rachel Cooke's disappearance, and I tend to really obsess about what happened.  With sweet Kelsey, I look at her, her family, and realize it can literally happen to anyone.  My heart hurts so for them.

This Paris fiasco is such a joke in the whole scheme of things, that I have found myself getting a laugh from how superficial that life must be.  Easy and others have brought a grin to my face with their hilarious cracks about it!

There's a pic of Paris on my homepage showing her sobbing in the police car.  Her mother said "it's in God's hands".  Now I'm a person of very strong faith, but I have to say that when I heard that, I thought "Mrs. Hilton, your daughter isn't in surgery, suffering from injuries as the result of some DRUNK DRIVER HITTING HER!!!!!!"

Exactly.  She's not sick, this is how she reacts when she is faced with any sort of discipline.  I don't think medical attention is going to change that.

The woman that killed her husband with a shotgun will only be doing 7 months in jail.

Well, this is obviously not going to be a very popular POV but the sudden withdrawal for very common drugs such as even Valium can result in seizures and be life threatening.

I do not condone what she did but am not sure she deserves that!  If I were the court, I would think twice about risking lawsuits or some kind of wrongful death happening.

Yes, she might be faking it but then again she might not.  I'd want medical opinions and pronto before something irreversible and very regrettable could happen.

The Sheriff's Dept is the party responsible for her release back to house arrest so making her do the full sentence seems a bit much compared to many who do worse and serve no time in jail.

JMO and am doing a drive by as I doubt anybody else will see it this way.  I think the judge is wanting his fifteen minutes of fame off this.  For his sake as well as her own, I do hope she is faking and not on the verge of some dire withdrawal reaction.

Playing devil's advocate but:
What if she was given medication b4 going into court today that would make her appear to be medically unstable. I for one wouldn't put it past someone to do just that.
She could be having drug withdrawl too or just nervous.
I still think the crying hysterics was pre-planned b4 she ever reported to jail the 1st time. JMO

Oh - You know they will be keeping close tabs on her condition... I am sure they will be able to tell if it is real or fake, as I am sure they see the real thing all the time.  If it is real withdrawals - this could be the best thing for her..clean her up.

The whole Paris thing is all for show. She is one of the most spoiled privlaged people in the world. I had a friend who was at the same boarding school as her in the Mountains near Big Bear Ca. She pulled the same crap there and eventually called a limo and left just after a few days. Normally the kids at Cedu wouldn't be allowed anywhere near a phone for the first few months. Thousands were sent to this school and she was the only one who ever left in that fashion.

Certainly, a person like that would need to justify unto themselves as we've seen with Joran & Deepak that it was not their fault. Otherwise how do they live with themselves. It's sick.

Over and Over again we see a pattern of teenagers that harm animals and eventually they harm innocent human beings. We don't know if it is fact but Edwin Hall did mention that on his Myspace about hurting animals. It also takes a very disturbed person to kill there own dog...

Jensen asks Joran what kind of place is this Charlie's bar. Joran explains it's a favorite pub to go for tourists, also a lot of Americans because you can drink at age of 18.

Joran sais that he was with Natalee for a time-periode of three hours. He met her at the Casiono. He was interested in a friend of Natalee but that friend told him to go to Natalee. Joran doesn't want to say bad things about Natalee but he does say that she was kinda out of control that night: alcohol and partying.
(Jensen asks Joran if he is a Ladiesman) Joran says life on Aruba is quite different: much free-er compared with Dutch life. They partied together at Charlies.

Joran sais when Charlie and Charlie closed Natalee asked Joran to join her to the beach. Natalee didn't want to go back to the Hotel. (Natalee was drunk - Joran had just a view drinks so he said). Deepak and Satish dropped them both at the beach. They were intimate on the beach but no sex because Joran didn't had condems with him. They stayed for a little time watching stars but then Joran wanted to go home, because he should wake up early for school. natalee wants to stay at the beach... Joran left her at the beach after asking her several times to walk her to the hotel. She refused that.
Joran called Satish and picked him up. (Jensen sais that part is controversial)
Joran doesn't know why Deepak and Satish won't admitt to this.
(Jensen thinks this part is very odd: "why would friends do that to you?" - Jensen accuses Joran and Deepak and Satish of putting a wall up)
Joran sais they are not friends anymore and he never spoked to them anymore.
Jensen and Joran debate about this part about how did he come home for a while.
Joran keeps saying he doesn't know why Satish is lying, he sticks with this story.

Jensen tries to stay objective but it's shimmering through that he thinks that Joran's story is very odd...
In between Jensen makes a lot of jokes ...drinking with Joran, being the Dutch O.J. Simpson/ Charlie Manson.
Joran sais this whole situation is about lies of him, of his friends, of people involved in the case etc. etc. and that it all get out of hand.

Now about the shoes. He left the shoes at the beach. He sais he didn't tell this to the police because he was scared that this would made him suspisious even more.

Now Jensen sais: I don't think you are a killer but I do think/ feel that you know something more about this.

Joran sais: he doesn't.

Jensen sais he have read the book and qoutes some parts of the book. He sais it is very detailled about the part when he met Natalee... to every detaill... costs of drink, every event that went on.
But later he doesn't know the detaills about how he got home, why he send Deepak a message with: Thank you, I'm home now, are you online. Everything is vague.

They chitchat about this vagueness. Jensen tries to get information but Joran sais he just doens't know more.
Jensen ends conversation about that and asks how his life is now.

Joran sais his life is pretty okay in the Netherlands. He's getting used of having no controll about all what happened, the stories in the world. He does hope that the truth will get out there soon for everyone's sake.

Jensen sais that Joran acts pretty relaxed on everything. That he is amazed with his strongness.

Jensen asked what Joran thinks about what happened:
Joran thinks she isn't a live anymore... and he doesn't believe she's somewhere to be found on Aruba.

Looks like another soft interview for Joran. Stick to his last lies and wait it out and sell the book. Makes me wonder if it is in the contract not to ask any of the needed questions. There are hundreds of them!! Maybee these Interviewers just dont know what to ask? Lots of good questions to ask..Shoe Size? Relationships with Lorenzo and Van Der Stratten? What did deepak mean in the recorded police car tapes?15 years?Your own father?Hit a girl with a car?See ghosts?What did you tell the Headmaster at ISA? I could think of hundreds of questions..How did you get to school the day after NH dissapeared?Maybee they interfere with the Investigation?Is he being payed for these interviews??

Haanie C posted a Dutch interview Anita gave to Libelle (?).  I ran it through a translator (and if the hate posters don't like it, they can give their English version).  A sob story generally.  Aruba isn't safe for Joran....on his last night he had to sleep in his parents room "like a baby". ya right, or to keep an eye on him.

One interesting thing.  Anita says when Paul first told her (and I think it says he called or she called while still in Holland) about Natalee, he said Joran seems to be the last one with her.  That would not coincide with the HI story....wonder if that was the first story contrived by the pool....hmmm

I looked on that interactive Weather Channel site, and the radar says I'm supposed to be in the middle of a severe thunderstorm, and it STILL hasn't rained a drop!  :shock: I'm hearing lots of thunder, but no rain is coming down.

McGraw's reply to the Kalpoes' response (which I have posted under "legal documents) was actually compelling. Aside from the gratuitous sarcasm (which seems to be an unfortunately common feature in American court documents), McGraw's lawyers make some good points.

1. The Kalpoes are relying on Article 45 of the Aruban code to justify their refusal to turn over the PV's and yet they have not produced the a translation of the Article before the court or even the actual article itself.

2. The Kalpoes stated that even if they were ordered to provide the documents, they would decline to do so. This is incredibly bad lawyering. Why a party would pre-emptively tweak its nose at a judge escapes me totally. I cannot imagine any party -- especially plaintiffs who have voluntarily come before the court -- telling a judge in advance that they will not obey a judge's order.

3. They listed several instances when this prohibition against secrecy was ignored by authorities and by the Kalpoes' own counsel when it suited their purposes. The opinion presented by Dean Thode states that "information about a criminal case cannot be disclosed until a final judicial determination has been reached." Further the opinion says that "in Aruba, anyone involved in a criminal case - including a suspect and criminal defence attorney -- is compelled by law to secrecy regarding information about the case." I don't know how they could type that with a straight face.

4. The expert who provided the opinion is an academic who never practiced criminal law.

As the motion has been put over to August 8, I suppose the Kalpoes might seek leave to introduce a supplementary response to the reply that would address some of these issues. Maybe it will even occur to them to provide a copy of the article upon which they rely.

Joran was on the Jensen-show tonight, some hours ago. Jensen really tried to get things out of Joran, really pressed him, but unfortunatly… No confessions.

I translated the first part of the interview. Maybe the rest will follow tomorrow (if you’re interested). I skipped the 10 to 15 minutes long introduction.

apparently, some sicko in their area, skinned someone's pet alive...the poor thing was able to make his way back home, scracthed at the door, the owner opened the door to see his poor pet in this inhumane condition. when he took him to the vet, he said there was nothing he could do, so they euthanized him.

tibro, my precious little pooh is doing OK today...she did like the zoo, but she was really tired and hungry and I think that took away from the experience for her. There was a lot of walking involved and we did stop to eat, but by then it was well past her nap and she wanted to be held and threw a fit. It was sorta funny, but then again, NOT! I was thrilled that the day after at the water park was not a replay of the day before. I gave  her a good talking to before we went (yeah, that helped, right?) and she was just precious that day. I'll never forget it :lol: Also, she turned 4 on Tuesday!!!!!

We learned this past week that two ships were going and at first thought they were 100 or so ft long. When we heard 240 and over 300 we were pleasantly surprised.

This will be no run of the mill search. Wait until you all see the technology that will be used. It is really fascinating.

This is something that we have discussed with the FBI since as early as September.  And, you know, I think that it was in the—in October, possibly early November, when Tim Miller was trying to finish this search when, of course, the depth of the water exceeded his equipment. And that‘s when he was needing the officials on the island to contact or pick up the phone and make one phone call to the FBI for some additional equipment. And they refused to do that.

VAN SUSTEREN:  Tonight the volunteers that were searching for Natalee Holloway are all back in the United States. Why did they leave the island? Tim, why did you leave the island?

MILLER: Well Greta, we did everything we could do over there. We were lead to the water by Chief Dompig in an area he wanted us to search. We started from shore and moved out. We had two sets of side scan sonar over there. We had a forensic underwater dive team. Another very experienced dive team had their equipment there. He wanted us to go 3 to 5 miles out and start clearing stuff from the shore out. We let him know early on that we could a limited amount with the equipment we had. We could actually go to 150 ft deep, which is deep. But, when we got out past 1 &frac12; miles, we needed equipment that would take us 800 to 1000 ft deep.

We actually got that equipment, made arrangements to get it over there. All that was needed was an informal phone call request to have that stuff over there. It looked like we had a real line of communication going with Chief Dompig last Wed. He praised everything we were doing, and then last Thursday [after Dave left on Wednesday], all communication just stopped. Then when I talked to him Friday morning, he was basically kind of ugly to me on the phone. He said, “I do not have time to sit down and write little letters for everything.” I said chief it’s not even a letter, it’s a simple phone call. He said that would have to go through the prosecuting attorney. We actually had all the equipment to do that search for Aruba at absolutely no cost. I just felt as though…I don’t know what happened; we lost communication. It is very, very frustrating.

MILLER: We actually had our team from Florida State University. Our underwater divers actually had a connection with somebody with the Navy who was willing to go ahead and bring their equipment. Gene Ralston, one of our members has equipment to go 800ft deep and he’s done a lot of stuff with the FBI and made those contacts. We gave Chief Dompig the phone number at the FBI. They were willing to bring their equipment. Gene was willing to bring his equipment. Everything just literally stopped. We had no clue what went wrong, our trip was basically in vain.

Y'all, I don't want to start a controversy, but I do have something I want to say.

After I emailed Arubagirl the other day, we sort of started corresponding by email, and I've really enjoyed talking to her. We don't discuss Natalee's case at all. What we've been emailing about are the high costs of travel to Europe and what kinds of books we like to read. She has been very kind and gracious, and has demonstrated a wonderful sense of humor.

I really think if anyone has questions she could answer, that she would answer them if they were presented to her in a respectful way. It would be much easier to go to the source and find out the facts than to endlessly speculate, IMO.

Because of this she could have been a chemical reaction ready to implode. She appeared naïve and innocent. But a young woman ready to explode. She apparently got a lot of attention from the pimps and did not know how to handle it. Also based on what her father said and her school mates, Natalee may have been a borderline alcoholic. Natalee was stalked from the time she arrived and changed rooms. By the way the key from the Hague did not arrive. That would have been Paulus’ certification as judge. Deepak protects Satish because he appears to be somewhat mentally challenged. Deepak drives Natalee and Joran from C and C’s to a side road lover’s lane by the Marriot. Here is where I believe they had sex with her. Deepak drives off and leaves Joran to take Natalee back to the Hotel. A white car has shadowed Deepak all night. The car appears and they try to grab Natalee and a scuffle breaks out. Joran gets a black eye and Natalee gets bruised when she is knocked down.
There are two factions working against one another. Those that think they are trying to solve the case and those that know that will never happen. As they throw Natalee into this other car, they bind her with duct tape and stick a piece of foam in her mouth. She is subdued with chloroform which may have reacted with her medication. The drugs that Dompig keeps talking about.

Who released the casino tapes and why? Posner says he did. But why? We have only seen the portion that shows Joran and the MBHS students together with Natalee. However I know the FBI had a copy to review.
Joran’s mouth will get him in trouble so now he lies to save his ass.
Who is Dirty Hand?
I believe Natalee was taken south though every one was looking north. She may have been taken to San Nicholas or an area called Weg Fontaine.
Why? She was taken and held captive because of what someone else did and held to be traded for something. But she was kidnapped by the criminal element. That was the revenge. Who may have kidnapped her? Geoff, Michael and Guido come to mind.
It was a chance happening that everything fell together for the criminal element. The trip Natalee took to Aruba sealed her fate the moment she got off the plane.
Natalee has been found. Natalee is dead. One of the three is confessing. Next day what are you talking about she is missing. Natalee may have been kept as long as June 9th or June 10th. During her captivity she was either killed or died from induced drugs to keep her sedated. If she is found dead; there are too many questions to be answered. It is like when a child asks for something and you say no. That is usually final. But if you say yes and bag of worms could be opened. Natalee is a missing person. Remember there is the industrial incinerator at the refinery. Someone has Natalee’s belongings so that if verification is needed why she was taken by ……. Ole witch still won't give me my baby.  It's bound over to Superior Court now the court who can adjudicate with the power to make someone return personal belongings.  I am no longer restricted on how much I can sue her for.

I wept for my dog and asked for my dog bcak when asked if I wanted the money or the dogt, I chose the dog. The small claim's coiurt couldn't do JACK SQUAT>after all that work I did.  I went to the law library to learn come case law on theft such she had done.  I called the vet licensing board.  I want the vet Corp. to go down and they will.  I have some pretty damning Vet's notes in her handwriting saying they will probably get sued if the lady doen't return my dog.  YEP.  SHe's rigt.  SHE tried to  CYA but it's in writing.

I put a lot of Homeopathic Arnica Lotion on the ankle right a way, hurt knee on other side and then other places on the body was hurting of previous injuries so did it there. I find as I get older and fall somehow, all your previous hurt parts hurt again... like the body getting a big jolt of "ouch" I remember the hurt.  The pain went away almost immediately. I had no ice in the house.

years ago I did sprain my ankle... and used the same Arnica Lotion. I now remember that the swollen-ness will stay longer at the ankle but it heals.

There is no pain and I walk OK.. actually though I see I am putting my foot straight down but did do the grocery shopping tonight.

Arnica Lotion I carry in the car and home... great stuff... for over exertion, all kinds of bruises, muscle pains, sunburn and insect stings.

Hi!  I need to fixed a pressure switch on my well more like replace one this morning.. I went back to work this week and it was kinda funny because the first thing I noticed is my desk looked the same as when I left 5 months ago, papers and books where exactly where I left them.. I would of thought that they would of outsourced my office out but nope.. Well it was good to be back to some normality and I celebrated with a beer last night with two good friends..  So cheers to you on this Saturday and hopefully we will have some good news about the case..

Nope, I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you.. I been going to meeting's to see what group I wanted to join and that choice was taken away from me but that's ok..  Also every 5 min's someone stops in my office to hear my story and I been going to the gym at night and then riding my bike early in the morning.. I let some jerks push my buttons last night and I shouldn’t have.  I just get tired of seeing all the BS that comes from some of those people and I acted out.  I don’t much care who those people are in real life as long as they stay away from me and mine.

Before I drop the subject and move on, I would like to say that many of us have developed pictures in our minds of some of the most notable hate mongers that frequent certain forums.  That picture is not very pretty.  Typically, it involves lonely people that have led miserable lives that want to drag others into their cesspool of existence.  From the little bit of research I have done, that picture is more accurate than one might think.  In reality, it’s kind of sad.

They take issue with people that have faith and try to build conspiracy theories into religious convictions and anything else that most people would consider laudable.  Such antics are reprehensible in my book and also make them open to scrutiny.  But, I will leave move on and focus my energies in a more positive direction.

But, I still think they are a bunch of low-life arseholes!  8)
