Title: 2008 Insider Job? 2011 on steroids?
Post by: WhiskeyGirl on February 07, 2012, 05:40:47 AM
The more I read in the daily paper, the more I wonder if the 2008 financial collapse was an insider job.

Where did all that money really go?  Anyone follow it?  Did it just vaporize like at MF global?  Folks stayed up late moving money around...

The customer shortfall began on October 26 and grew until the October 31 bankruptcy, the trustee said.

"For three months our investigative team has worked to understand what happened during the final days of MF Global when cash and related securities movements were not always accurately and promptly recorded due to the chaotic situation and the complexity of the transactions," Giddens said in the report.

MF Global collapsed last year due to concern about its heavy bullish exposure to the risky sovereign debt of eurozone nations like Italy. The securities firm began taking those positions at the direction of then-CEO Jon Corzine, the former governor of New Jersey and CEO of Goldman Sachs.

The report said the number of transactions executed by MF Global during a final frantic week "escalated to unprecedented levels." MF Global's computer systems and employees had trouble keeping up with these deals and a number of transactions were "recorded erroneously or not at all," the report said. In fact, these so-called "fail" transactions were five times the normal volume during this final week.

The Kenyan and Joe Biden say they ask Jon Corzine for advice.

'Nuff said. Libbie crooks of a feather flock together.

In 2008, billions just vaporized.

In 2009, billions in TARP money just vaporized.

For decades, it seems like TRILLIONS are just created out of thin air and are vaporized from the Federal Reserve.  Any of these people care if they're destroying the savings of millions of Americans through dilution of the dollar or massive inflation? I don't think so.

Millions of auto company bondholders lose everything...Obama seems to take care of his friends.

Millions, billions vaporized by poor green energy 'investments' - only they seemed to have one foot in bankruptcy when Obama made the 'investment'...

'Raise my taxes...I just sue the IRS and never really pay anything!  Only the little people pay taxes...' - Obama's billionaire friend

"'Hidden' Mortgage Fee Paying for Obama’s Payroll ‘Tax Cut’ "

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57371781/home-buyers-left-holding-bag-for-payroll-tax-cut/ (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57371781/home-buyers-left-holding-bag-for-payroll-tax-cut/)

There were also hidden taxes in Obamacare.  I recall the government is taking a bigger slice when you sell your home.  They get you coming and going.

What a great deal!  New taxes they can raise without anyone noticing.

Any chance they'll write mortgages to responsible people?  Seems like the responsible people will just get stuck with the bill again.  There won't be any profit in 'investing' in a home, the government wants their slice coming and going.

I've listened to several political analysts say they want the children of the rich to work for their money too.  Thus, government should tax/steal/fee away your wealth/estate/etc. when you die.  "I want your kids to work for their money"

Why do they never stand up generational/decades long recipients of welfare and tell them the same thing?  "I want your kids to work for their money"  "I want you to provide 40 hours of labor each week to provide for your maintenance"

There are good people who use the safety net and get off.  For some, they families never escape and they take for generations.

We have a president who destroys good pipeline jobs, good oil rig jobs, and invests in fantasy/fraud 'green' energy jobs.  Then, he promotes 'old' fashioned values.

Perhaps Washington's elite are to far removed from honest labor?  They can only theorize about the poor and what is involved in getting a good job?  Taxes are just an entertainment to their family and friends?  They have their billions but want to take away the opportunity for others to rise above their station?  Amass million?  Billions?  Earn that pipe dream for themselves or their families?

"Those jobs are gone for good, we're a nation that makes it's money on ideas..."  Right.  How many jobs do ideas create?  How many at MF global?  Is that really the better path?

They've integrated the international financial system and failed to enact firewalls to prevent looking from the 99%.

We have wandering hordes of people who register and vote the same day without any kind of identification.  Biggest losers?  The American people.  How long can massive welfare states like Illinois and California be maintained?

How different would the world look if you had to present government issued ID?  If the system worked to root out and boot out those with bogus identities?  If state citizenship mattered?  You had to live and contribute for say 2 years before voting in local elections?

Citizen for a day, lifetime welfare recipient.  An insider job.

We have a president who wants people transferring money to foreign countries to have 30 minutes to change their mind.  What of all the folks that watch as their bank and savings accounts are emptied, due to transactions on autopilot?

'It's easier for us' - elite banking people

When will politicians unhook the American people's pockets, future, and money from these dangerous games of money roulette?  Another 2008 collapse? Seems to me if the financial system were taking the hits directly, they would have gone out of business years ago.

2012 Insider Job

Wandering hordes of voters, registering without any form of ID

Drivers License gains popularity as method of earning citizenship...don't care how you get one you're a citizen.  Use it everywhere and take jobs from American citizens.

Continue the financial shell game that destroys America, loots our financial system, and pretend igorance.  "He might know something to help unwind all these deals.  He helped put them together."  Why does Washington promote these people?  Why aren't they going to jail?

If you live on Main Street and you go door to door ripping people off by selling them shoddy goods and services for outrageous prices, at some point they call you a scam artist and send you to jail...

Come from anywhere and apply for welfare benefits without any form of ID.  We'll just keep paying even if there is no sign your automated benefits are being used anywhere near the state or community that bankrolls your entitlement.

What's wrong with this nation?
