I love that modern invention know as the telephone. I can just let those fingers do the walkin.

This other modern invention known as the computer is great also but I am always really excited when and if I find something with it. I have gotten better with it than in the beginning but I also think the search engines are better also.

Another time  a friend had asked for suggestions on different stuffings for a pin cushion. I did find some different suggestions but also got into a porn page. Now how do you get to a porn page when asking for different stuffings for a pin cushion.

Yeah! I usually use polyfill but it does dull needles and pins after awhile. She had done this tatting which if you are not familar with is a very fine fine lace. So she wanted something that would last but not dull needles. she also wanted to be able to wash it. Decided on hair as the best thing for the project.

Sam I call directory assistance and ask for a number and they always say theu don;t have the number. So then then get an attitude and say - hold on for a supervisor. Well the Supervisor has the same info as the first idiot. So I tend to get frustrated and say I don't want to pay for this call...ThenI look up the number myself while I have the supervisor on the phone and say I just found it, how come you can't.

The other day I was looking for a doctor and they didn't have the number, so I was looking as the supervisor was looking and I said I WON and I even see his picture. The supervisor hung up and I called back and said I didn't want to pay for the last call.

Angie - so pleased to see Patrick back - swoon.......

Alpacas are really sweet natured animals.  They only spit at each other not at humans.  Alpaca farmers know not to get between two alpaca that dislike each other or they may get spat upon.  Lala's could write them up in her book.
There are a lot of them here as they farm them for the wool.  The wool is very fine and it is so soft when you pat them.  They come in a lovely range of colours too from pale cream right through to dark chocolate or black.

Two nearby stories occurred over the past few days that I found interesting and troubling.

In Orange Beach, AL police spot a car swerving in and out of traffic.  They move in and flash their lights and sound the siren.  The car takes off!  The chase ensues down the busy beach front boulevard with the suspect vehicle reaching speeds in excess of 100 MPH.  The car attempts a u-turn and careens out of control and slams into a utility pole.  Patrol cars surround the vehicle and officers begin their approach.  Out of the rubble came a small hand waving and a little voice crying.

The officers found an intoxicated 11-year-old child at the wheel of the vehicle.  She survived the crash intact, but…..

Next story

A series of abduction rapes have occurred in Ocean Springs, MS over the past few days.  Strangely unusual for the quaint little town, but the victims were able to provide enough detail to come up with a sketch of the perpetrator.  Local law enforcement immediately recognized a striking resemblance to the sketch given in the murder of newspaper delivery woman Jennifer Nielsen in North Carolina.

This guy could be on the move!

In this new Renfro video she says they had a tip Natalee was in a crackhouse but didn't want to go home.  The guy that called in the tip said he would tell them where she was for $4,000 bucks.  This was the day before the $10,000 reward was offered and the day be fore the Medjet left.

Not much. What I forgot to mention and was told long time ago already is that Paulus van der Sloot, the father of Joran, probably has a mistress and was seeing his mistress the night that Natalee disappeared. The reason why Joran has been giving conflicting statements about what happened the night may very well have to do with the fact that Joran was helping his father covering up his father's night out by saying that his father had to pick him up, which then later turned out not to be so good for the father, as it was then thought that the father had something to do with the disappearance of Natalee.

So he was seeing his mistress and left the other two boys home with Joran.  Well I never believed the boys were home with Paulus so this could very well have happened.  This even makes more sense that Joran had a party at the Van der Sloot home.

The Aruban attorney general's office initially identified him only by the initials "S.G.C.," but Holloway's mother told an interviewer that his name was "Steve." FOX News later confirmed that the man's name was Steve Gregory Croes.

Meanwhile, police brought in yet another man for questioning Friday night, FOX News has learned. The man, Max Arends, who is also a friend of van der Sloot, is not a suspect in the case and has not been arrested.

All I have to say is....I used to work at a Police Station and if Beth was not given a ticket...there would be no report.

No....it would be 'part of an investigation'...but still public record. If she was given a 'written warning, that would be onfile as well...but if she was given a verbal warning or nothing at all...then no traceable record would be on file. I do not know much about the story of the Highway Patrol re: Beth being pulled over, but I do have knowledge of police files.

I don't see why they think something like that is so important.  What happened to Natalee happened in Aruba.  And, that is what this is all about, right?

Geesh, the whole point of the "Highway Patrol" story from Beth is that she was speeding and pulled over; and that the H.P. escorted her. They don't give you an actual ticket when they do that!

Yep - that would be like pulling over a speeding car, finding out a woman was in labor, and giving the driver a ticket. They normally either escort them to the hospital or deliver the baby - depending on how long the traffic stop took.  :lol:

No, None, I havent talked to any of them about the book. Im not sure what all will be included.  I do think a combination of inspiration and details would be great though.  

I LOVE NASCAR.  Dale,Jr. is my favorite. Busch race is this morning (rained out last night) Cup race tonight.

It is interesting that the Aruban Police website (link posted earlier), has the article done by Renfro.  Has Dompig quoting FBI.  Makes me think that the Aruban ALE is going to take a (Dutch) hit in this investigation and this "documentary" is preemptive.  Why else would the webpage post criticism of FBI??

Maybe some of those with an agenda to discredit Beth should look right smack dab in the face of one lying Joran Van Der Sloot.

His book makes him look even more guilty than ever. Usually when someone writes a book it is to give their side of the events. In Joran's case he makes himself look like everything we always thought he was. Sometimes it can't be helped. The TRUTH is worse than what he actually writes and he just tones down the truth a lil bit. There is no way to get around the truth in this case. And even his fertile mind of rape and debauchery can't use a ghost writer to exculpate himself.

I have followed this case since the day I heard Natalee was missing on Aruba. That would be about the second day. I was going to Aruba in less than 25 days at the time and couldn't believe it. I didn't know about the underbelly of Aruba. I has suspicions but never heard about Max or all the others disregarded on to the ash pile of history by Aruba.

I would love to see some one put together a list of lies as told by Beth.

I don't think I have missed anything she has said and have patiently waited for her to speak about many aspects of the case because she has the first hand account and the best memory and journals involved in the case.

Joran Van Der Sloot lies each and everyday. That is somehow disregarded by some people and is indication that he is somehow not involved. Go figger. Only in the warped and twisted mind of someone that needs a role model so badly that they look up to a 17 year old and his deranged father.

It's one thing to say you are not a partisan in this case and you only want the truth, but when you deny all of the words of the last person seen with the victim you are not looking for the truth. You are simply a partisan hack looking to get a probably murderer and his father off the hook.

I swear I saw someone interview the lady that owned the bed and breakfast where Beth and her friends stayed. Guess I would rather concentrate on where Natalee ended up than where Beth started out.  The three people last seen with Natalee still don't tell the same story.

My guess is the FBI has a handle on investigative techniques.  My guess is they understand all about Aruban investigators.  I would think that Barbados, being so close, has dealt with the Aruban "system" more than once.  They probably have the best insight into Aruban "game plans".

No question that central Alabama is getting some rain today! It has been raining since yesterday afternoon when I was out in the Jasper area.  That funeral actually only lasted an hour.  That's about how it would have been if I was conducting it, but they had another minister.

I also agree with Blah and hope he won't leave us, although I admit that there was some very disturbing info involved with that post. This thing is REAL, folks, those monsters want America destroyed and there are people in this country who sympathize with them. I suspect charlieRAT and his bunch would be in that category.

There's another REALLY tragic story on the link Anna posted, about a little boy who died in a fireworks accident. That is just about the stupidest thing I have ever heard, to have a 7-year old around where a freak accident like that can happen. I didn't post much about it on the 4th (and I was out of town) but fireworks and kids are a MAJOR pet peeve I have. I was struck in the face by a kid waving a "harmless" sparkler around back when I was a teenager, and since then, I want NOTHING to do with that stuff.

I have to wonder how many times they can attack and blame a victim and her family like this.  None of it has one thing to do with why no proper, standard, even minimal investigation was conducted nor why there has been absolutely zero attempt to bring justice to this situation.
