Title: Immunity for the Federal Reserve? US Default Losers?
Post by: WhiskeyGirl on July 10, 2012, 11:21:47 AM
Gotta wonder why so many politically connected folks are seeking Swiss citizenship, Swiss bank accounts, and giving up their US citizenship.  Hmmm...highest coporate taxes, fiat currency, money printing, Federal Reserve...

Where exactly has the Fed sent the TRILLIONS they print and send out?  Who profits at the expense of all the little people?  This story made me wonder about how the little people will recover anything from the Fed.

* U.S. government says appeal by two investment funds should be denied

Who in the U.S. government made this decision?

If the US screws the two funds trying to recover, what of US funds trying to recover Fed funds in foreign banks?  A global slush fund?

WASHINGTON, June 25 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal by two U.S. investment funds that seek to seize $105 million of Argentina's central bank deposits in New York to satisfy their claims from the country's huge debt default a decade ago.

When the US defaults on the debt, who gets the money in foreign banks?  The Fed takes all?  Get's away with TRILLIONS?

Quote
U.S. government attorneys last month filed a brief with the Supreme Court opposing the appeal and saying the appeals court correctly ruled the central bank's funds were immune from being frozen and seized...

Quote
The case marked the second attempt by the two creditors to freeze and seize U.S. dollar reserves of Argentina's central bank in New York after obtaining $2 billion in judgments...

The appeals court rejected an earlier effort in a ruling that turned on whether use of the reserves to repay the International Monetary Fund constituted commercial activity. The Supreme Court in 2007 refused to hear that case.

...

The Supreme Court case is EM Ltd v. Argentina, No. 11-604.

Wow...repayment a commercial activity?  Obamacare taxes inactivity...

Wonder what else goes on that involves commercial activity?

Who get's all that money at the Fed?

just my humble opinions

The Fed is a private bank.  Would these funds be frozen if they were in some small town bank?  Is this part of a global exchange/slush fund for big banks and special interests?  Who really gets that money?  What of the TRILLIONS that the Fed spreads around?  Who gets that money when the US defaults?

I wonder who has deposits at the Fed?  Does the Fed print money to?

What would an audit of the Fed reveal?  Abolishment?  Who get's the money?

While everyday people in America are losing their homes, retirement savings, jobs, and future...who gets to keep all their money at the Fed?
  Who has an account there?

Can anyone set up an account at the Fed?  Make their money untouchable?

just my humble thoughts and opinions
