Just in,
One of the young men HAS confessed to killing Natalee. Guess the story about a confession over the weekend, though premature, was true. More developments to come (?)

As much as I hate to hear it, I pray that we get some kind of freakn' resolution. This has drawn on for too long and I'M tired, so I know that Natalee's parents are too. She belongs back here in the states!

Do they have the body?

Who did the email come from?

This is pure pure speculation but I figured I would share it for now, I do not believe it , but then the walls are coming down around these boys so it may be true.

You'll get used to this way!  It's really quite simple and nice.   I've worked on a lot of forums that use this format.

The best part is, no one can pretend to be YOU.  Once a users name is taken, no one else can have that EXACT name.

It was my idea as the bandwidth cost for doing it the other way is getting oppressive, and I did not want to deny anyone the opportunity and have to shut down comments totally.

Plus this way I do not have to monitor it all night as I did with the other one. I am tired of 3 hours sleep. So stop your bellyachin ,,, it aint your dime!

yes it is true that she met with them..I watched her interview on the Today Show and she said that she met with the boys, they were not cooperative with her and did not show any emotion..she said that she "knows they know something" nad wants authorities to push them more so they will confess...was really hard to watch, i felt so bad for her!

This was posted earlier at RiehlWorldView, but I haven't seen anything since that.  If it was true i'd expect to hear something about it in the news media, although with all the MJ case coverage you never know.

Now that the MJ thing is going on, real news is going to be hard to come by.  All the talking heads discussing the verdict, prosecution mistakes, defense victory, I think I'll throw up.  Personally I was sick of that stuff months ago and would rather hear about someone who we all seem to care about and whether or not we are going to be able to find her soon.

That is how I feel to radman, but think of the posts that had 400 comments and we getting refreshed every 2 minutes. I was having to pay for that every time. This is going to take a big load off of my server costs.

So change is coming , but I needed to take the pressure off. I was starting to get frustrated with this and that was all wrong.

Tom, I for one appreciate your site and this forum. I do not blame you one bit for choosing something to reduce your cost especially since you have been kind enough to open up your page as a place where information can be let out and updated and people can speak freely.

Kelly - in an interview this morning the mother said she had no scenarios as to what happened to her daughter.  I think this rumor, is just that a rumor.  News sources would be picking it up immediatley.

And although I would hope that I could bring myself to convince my son to tell them where Natalee is and relieve her mother's grief, we also have to remember that Joran's mother is a mother too.  She may not think he did anything to Natalee or she may be looking down the road to 20 years without her son and hoping no evidence comes out against him.

K, yeah that's what I thought.  She may be in denial.  I think I would go through that.  That is her child and I would never want to believe that my child did anything to hurt anyone.  Giving her the benefit of the doubt, that's what I think.  She believes in him.  On the other hand, she may think he had something to do with it but doesn't want his life to be spent behind bars.  I always feel for the parents of the predators too.  They lose a child right along with the parents of the victim.

KerinTX, yes Peterson's parents are and they have infuriated me with the way they have acted toward Laci's parents.  Those are the type of parents that I lose my cool about.  I'm hoping this mother isn't like that and that she is just a mother who loves her son.  I'm sure there is some denial and all of the steps of grief involved.  I just hope she gets past it as Peterson's parents haven't.  Although I'm talking about only if Natalee is no longer with us and they are responsible.  I'm still hoping that her family gets her back alive.  I would love for this to be a "runaway graduate" situation.  From all I've heard about her, it's not, but I would jump for joy if it were.

I just pray that she is at least alive...but i just dont understand (if she is alive and being kept somewhere) why the boys wouldnt just confess now and take the kidnapping charges or whatever they would get, instead of murder charges ya know..i mena they are backed into this corner, have been caught lying, turning on eachother now...and htey really have no way out..so if she was in fact alive, you would think they would just confess, asssit the authorites and free themselves of murder charges...obviously there would be serous charges but Not murder..that is the only reason why i dont feel as if there is going to be a good outcome!

Dragonfly, I feel the same way. I really am sick of Scott's parents living in denial. It is a slap in the face to the memory of Lacie and Connor. I realize you never want to admit to yourself that the child you raised is a monster but sometimes that's just the way it is. Now the way in which the other guy's parents (at a loss for name right now but he shot his wife in her sleep after she discovered he had not been accepted to med school)...I am very impressed with his parents and the way they handled their son's guilt.

All of them had something to do with whatever happened to Natalee.  If there was an "innocent one" in the bunch they would'nt be trying to transfer blame.  Unless one of the brothers is covering for the other one.

From what I've read today the car belongs to the oldest brother.

Kerin, from what I've heard and read, both sets of parents from the Hacking case have remained friendly and relatively close considering the circumstances.  I have great respect and admiration for that.  Peterson's parents could take a lesson.

Yes, mediums have contacted the family via mail and have posted on forums info.  A drawing was sent to some people in Aruba to see if they can recognize what the vision was where Natalee was.  Medium I asked told me she thought that the body was moved from where originally left so no trace would be founf..thus no crime...

The boy have changed their stories , Joran says the two brothers dropped him off at his house after the beach and the two brothers dropped natalie off at HI. On the flip side. The two brothers say that they left Joran at the beach with Natalie. But how did Joran get back to his house I guess he walked. I think they are trying to save there own asses know.

Dallas...the only thing to report on is that it does appear the 3 are going to start turning on each other and changing their stories. Joran is now saying something about his being dropped off first by the other 2 and that Natalee was still with them.

A former police chief is being asked to use his power of smell to find bodies buried in a Dutch graveyard.

Harry Jongen used the technique to discover mass graves in the former Yugoslavia. He can tell if a body has been buried by the look and smell of the earth.

He's being called in by the family of the late millionaire Simon Visser whose wish was to be laid to rest in a Jewish cemetery in Dalen. It hasn't been used for 300 years.

The Amersfoortse Courant reports there are no markers to indicate where the graves are and the Jewish religion doesn't allow tombs to be disturbed.

Rob - I looked carefully and the person turns to the viewers (our) right and walks off screen. If you pause the clip, you can see that the person in the green shirt is completely flat chested... it's possible that it is a female, but the figure has more male characteristics.

That's pretty amazing in that the parents stated that the Aruban governmental-types were commited to give them fisrt notice AND the FBI told them to cool it for 24 hours or so...there's been a total blackout from Aruba since them on NEW information (except the 3 turning against each other and that came from an uncontrolled source...the guard's attorney).

KerinTX, yeah I think a lot of people were given the wrong impression.  I think they just told us kids later because they didn't want us to freak out and worry.  The chaperones did a really good job.  I was actually "missing" the day before and everyone just about had a heart attack, but then I was ok... I think they thought the same for Nat and just didnt want to worry anyone

Yeah, Ive known her for a few years, but we werent really close until this year. She's an amazing person... she's the reason I was able to pass Calculus! I cant wait till she gets home. I really think when she does, she should get help for whatever she's been through and then write a book.  The girl's a serious genius.

Rob, the chaperones were mainly teachers and teachers' wives.  They actually were very mature and did their jobs remarkably well.  They went above and beyond and did stuff that they didn't even have to to make sure that we were all ok.

It's now clear that the Aruban authorities have completely lost hold of the investigation. At this point, the best thing for them to do is simply turn the entire investigation over to the FBI. The Dutch won't like that, but if they want American money--and they do--they need to make some concessions.

I have been wondering if Natalee had ever discussed the nature of her relationship w/ Joran with anyone on the trip. It seems to be a given that she would have told friends whether he was just a guy they all met, or she really liked him, or if she was suspicious of him in any way. That could shed a LOT of light on what she may have been thinking that night.

Arubagirl... you're from Aruba so you should know! It's BEAUTIFUL there!  A lot of parents have travelled there with family over the years and a few years ago they chose it for the senior trip and we've done it ever since. It really is a wonderful place and none of us blame the island for what happened.  It's a horrible thing that happened, but seriously, I really hope Nat's ok and that Aruba doesn't have to suffer with us anymore.  Other than the incident, we all really enjoyed it. :)

Arubagirl... I think we just stuck with Aruba because so many people had been there before and had nothing but good things to say about it. You really do have a wonderful island, and the people are great.  You can't expect anywhere to be perfect, so people really shouldn't blame Aruba.  (In fact, it was the closest to paradise I've ever been, that's why this whole thing was such a shock.)

To answer Kelly's question about cellphones, it is likely that a US cellphone would not work there on Aruba. I have heard that hers did not work and that she didn't carry it. The technology/coverage issues in the Bahamas/Caribbean area pretty much make them useless.

The blame game is getting really old. We are talking about 18 year olds on a trip who are legally (regardless of maturity, decisions etc.) adults in the US. They can vote, make their own decisions etc without a parent. People need to lay off the chaperones. They have no power of controlling anyone on the trip. This was a group of high school graduates who are legally considered adults.

Would we sit here and and play the blame game if this was a spring break incident in a popular US "party" city? Nope, because it happens all the time in the US.

While I dearly feel for Natalee and her parents, I do not blame the parents, Natalee, her friends or the chaperones. Every time something bad happens to someone believe me, every person involved thinks "could have, would have, should have" but has happened has unfortunately happened. They can not take back that night and what happened to her. Have some compasion for them.

Most important thing right is finding Natalee so her parents can celebrate finding her alive or worst case, begin their grieving process but most importantly NOT spend the rest of their lives wondering what happened to their poor daughter. Regardless of anything, or anywhere this could happen, everyone should learn once again, that bad things happen anywhere at anytime for no reason. Sick demented people are in the world. They can be anyone but no one and I repeat NO ONE asks for something bad to happen to them!

No, she never said she was leaving with him.  When I talked to her when we were all leaving she acted as if she was going to meet up with some other MB ppl in front of us walking and go with them back to the hotel.  I gues she got in the car inbetween talking to us and going to the other group of people.

The GHB is clear and you can not taste it.  So you never know.  On the other hand my senior class went to the Bahamas to the Zoo, and we all stuck together.  But all of us could barely walk after we left, and one girl had one drink only.  The Cruise direct.  told us to be weary of the bar tenders there.

To make a prayer bracelet all you do is get three different color peices of yarn (it can be any color, I have a few of them and they all are different) and braid them together and then just tie them on your wrist.  It's really simple, but it's not so much what it looks like as what it represents.  I know People magazine has a picture of some of us wearing them... don't read the article though, they totally misquoted us and slanted the whole thing to make it more dramatic... They are idiots.

JAMAICA: Three charged with murder of U.S. tourist

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) - Jamaican police said Monday they had charged three people, including a teenager, with the murder of a U.S. tourist whose body was found in a shallow grave on the popular vacation island last month.

Fox News said 15 minutes ago that new details were upcoming...that hasn't been mentioned since.  They are talking about everything but NH.  Hopefully, they are just being careful and we will get news shortly.

The GHB and Rohypnol (Rufies) that are manufactured legally have to include a blue dye in them, so that they will show up if used illegally to drug someone who is unaware.  That law was passed after the first girl in TX (in a town near me) died from an overdose of GHB and it wasn't detected in her system until it was too late.

Unfortunately, not all mfrs of date rape drugs are on the up-and-up and that bit about the blue dye gave a false sense of security to lots of women who party.  Most of it from Mexico does NOT contain the blue dye.  (And heaven forbid, don't order anything with Blue Curaçao in it, either!)

Does anyone else remember about 3 or maybe even 4 days ago...the police supposedly had interviewed some people who had seen Natalee that night.  One woman swore she was in the restroom with her - and this person (supposedly NH) said she didn't feel good...she felt quite sick in fact.  The woman who was being interviewed, if I remember correctly, also said something about her eyes being "not right."

On my son's senior trip to Cancun 5 years ago, a parent was one of the chaperones.  She took a cab from Cancun to the airport to pick up a late arriving student.  The mom was taken to an abandoned airport where the cab driver tried to rob her.  Somehow, someway, she got away.  It can happen to anyone.  Believe you me, this mom was probably the most diligent and watchful parent of all the mothers of this class.

Everything I found out first was on the net.  I have been glued to the tv except for one night.  Last Friday night we had girls night out and my mom kept calling me about the news breaking, I just thought she wanted me home.  I would have been sick if I watched the news that night.

Anyways, I fear everyday that passes the hope for Natalee diminishes.  There is a a point where too many investigators will render finding any solution even more remote. Everthing has to be rehashed and explained and reinterpreted.  

Also all this story of one person said something and we go with this only to find out later that its retracted and or never was so..Very frustratiing.  I can't help but to thing this is a way screw up progress in the investigation.  The pace of investigation has definately slowed down.  No one is announcing anything, the press is virtually given a black out by the prosecution office.  So many times we hear the case will be resolved in 23 hours, that was like a week ago.

What is going on?  Is Aruba hoping that this will go away and it will be business as usual?  I can't but think what does 3 men did to Natalee, how do they sleep at night, one or all 3 must be psycho paths!.

Since one of the 3 (or all 3) are rumored to be ecstacy dealers, could it be that they talked Natalee into taking a pill or could they have put it in her drink (if that's possible).  I have taken a pill once 7 years ago and I swear I almost died (body heating up and heart racing).  I have also seen many people take the drug before.  Your stomach becomes very upset and most people throw up 1/2 hour to an hour after taking the pill and I know there are reports of Natalee being sick in the bathroom at C&C.  If she went with the boys and had no water, her body could have very easily overheated.  You need to drink lots of water...I'm not talking about 5-6 glasses.....30 glasses plus to stop your body from overheating.  I was 18 and on vacation when I decided to do ecstatcy.  It just makes sense if they are not telling the the truth.  She may have accidently overdosed on the drug that they gave her and them being drug dealers are more afraid of the "big Boss" then the FBI if they tell the truth.  I'm not excusing them if they did something to her and I hope she is still alive but this is just something I have been thinking about.

I can attest to that!  How I acted had alot to do with who i was running with and my Mom was none the wiser.

I also hope the security guards are able to reap some monetary help.  I remember seeing one's Mom who was in tears when they impounded the car as she had no way to get to work.  This is so sad.  The only thing worse is to think without all this worldwide attention they might have been in there for the rest of their lives.

Regarding the 15 yo party: from the photos, it looks to me like a quinceanera (sp?), which is a traditional "coming out" type of party for a Latina's 15th birthday. It's a very fancy event (notice the girl in the white wedding dress -- I'm sure that's Sasha).

The tickle site was taken down right about when he was picked up.  The MSN site soon thereafter, the Myspace is still up and so is the WAW and who knows how many other sites he may have had.  We know of at least 4 of which 2 are down.

I have a lot of experience with the myspace pages and it appears Joran cleared that site of postings. He signed up on 5/2 and has nothing posted as of his last login of 6/7 which would be very unusual.
