McLaurins mother contacted police to report her son missing. According to the Amber Alert, there are allegedly three to four unidentified abductors. They were last seen traveling north on Bain Street. "The Goldsboro Police Department has been searching an area in Seven Springs based on leads that were given," said City of Goldsboro employee Kimberly Best. "In the area in Seven Springs, physical evidence has been found and located. At this point, nobody has been found," Best said. Goldsboro police are now investigating disappearance of a teenager who's been missing for nearly two weeks as a homicide and are looking for a suspect in connection with the case. Sgt. Dwayne Dean told reporters Friday evening that investigators have issued an arrest warrant on an open count of murder for Leonard Eugene Joyner in the case of Kennedy "Little Ken" Fitzgerald McLaurin Jr. ::snipping2:: "The police department has identified all subjects involved in this case, and we can assure the public that this is not gang-related nor was it random," Dean said. He added that police are still interviewing people of interest and that more suspects are possible. He would not comment on a motive. Leonard Joyner, a named suspect in the case turned himself in after seeing he was on TV. Also, a second suspect, Jerome Butts was arrested and charged with murder. Both men are in the Wayne County Jail under no bond.
